Kraii is one of the most effective professors I have had in my college experience. He has a great understanding not only of biology, but of life as well. He's makes great connections between all disciplines, and is available 24/7 despite his job as a vet. Careful, you might end up a bio major!

Dr. Kraai teaches Biology from the perspective of reality. He will bring the world into the classroom for you. If you ever wonder why biology is important to you ("when am I ever going to need this?") then take Kraai's class. You won't regret it.

Good professor, alot of fun. He's so willing to help you if you show interest. He teaches the material in a fun way so its easier to learn. Best teacher I have had at O.C.C. yet!

Yay! i loved his class! highly recommended... loves tangents, chock full of information...concise in letting you know what will be on tests, but teaches in a very inclusive manner, enjoys class discussion. my classmates seemed disinterested- but at 8am, he was FULL OF ENERGY!! shows us lots of jiggly, bloody goodies from the animal clinic...

OUTSTANDING PROF!!! Take his class above all others. The man is simply brilliant.

Good professor. Sometimes wastes time going over newpaper clippings, but he teaches well. He definitely knows his stuff and will help you to the fullest if you ask. The class isn't all that tough, as long as you keep up on your studies. I definitely recommend him!

Dr. Kraai is awesome, however he will try to convince you to become a veggie, and stop wearing gold, and driving big cars. To me, this just means he's passionate about his job, and it shows in his teaching style. Good guy!

Loved this professor! The best ever!

He is a very good teacher. He likes to talk a lot about how people need to go green and help keep the Earth clean and what not. One of the coolest event I did in the class was see a cat get spayed. =D

Great person and very inspirational. He speaks about being environmentally mindful a lot which is great but not everyone appreciates it. He's great and as long as you pay attention you'll do great in his class.

Dr. Kraai's Biology course was better than the one i took at ESF(hardcore science school). He helps you see the worldwide importance of what you're learning. Labs were interesting. He's eccentric, he pushes you to learn, and his newspaper clippings and paper DNA props always cracked me up. Highly recommend him, I loved his class!

Professor Kraii is probably one of the best teachers I ever had. He is very good at creating the professor-student friendship each of us students look for. He is very passionate about what he does and is willing to go to great lengths to help you understand. He definitely DESERVES a 10/10. Great professor. Great person to know.

Demanding workload, but clear lecturing and reasonable grading. Excellent teacher, great person, knowledgeable professional. His passion is admirable, but not unquestionable. Nevertheless, he will make your college experience much more meaningful.

He is the best professor I have ever had. I gained a new insight into the human experience and I watched him spay my cat! He has helped me to become the person that I have always wanted to be. Honestly my favorite professor I've ever had. Very nice and helpful, never rude to anyone, and very lenient with due dates. You'll have to sit through a lot of soapboxing, which some found annoying, but I liked it. I really wish all my professors were more like him.

Very passionate about what he is teaching. Demanding workload but he is fair enough. He is very friendly to everyone and will do anything to help. This is not an easy class but if you keep up with his work you'll be just fine.

Great Professor, he really cares about students, teaching and life in general. He is a total stream of consciousness lecturer, don't come expecting to memorize a bunch of facts for tests. He is teaching for broad understanding and helps people to reach their own conclusions. Lots of work, but interesting. Caring, flaky, funny and passioniate!

Kraai is an awesome person--very sweet and knowledgeable. He can be somewhat preachy, but never without valid evidence and statistics to back up his argument. He's also extremely passionate about the learning experience, and is always available to help(when he's not off saving animals)! Definitely made my experience at OCC much more amazing. :)

Dr. Kraii is awesome! He wants his students to succeed. His classes can be difficult, but you will do fine as long as you study and do the assignments. He is a very smart professor and I would highly recommend him for bio.

Dr. Kraai is so awesome. He is so passionate about what he does and he does so much to help the planet and is also a vet on top of being a professor and I wonder how he does it all! He is very willing to give anyone help but expects you to be responsible because after all, it's not high school anymore. He can be pretty tough but it's well worth it!

If you're looking for a Robin WilliamsCarpe Diem moment at OCC, you couldn't do better than Prof. Kraai. Is the class easy? No. Are you handed anything on a platter? No (well, except note outlines). Are you expected to engage? Heck yes. But what you get in return is a darn good schooling in biology (with a heavy environmental focus). Recommended.

He is the one of the best teachers you will ever be taught by. He is not just a college professor, taking a class with Dr. Kraai will make you think in a different way and will inspire you to do things you have never done before. The class is a lot of work and is not an easy A. You have to be willing to learn Biology, not just memorize your notes.

Professor Kraai is really passionate about teaching and gives help when you need it. While he does talk a lot of politics in class, most of the material on the tests is in the notes or relates to something the class goes over in lab. You really do have to study the material if you want to get a good grade though.

Can be sarcastic and unapproachable at the beginning, but he gets nicer as the semester goes on and he knows you're taking the class seriously. Classes were far from boring for me. He is very passionate about the subject matter and relates it to current issues. I was actually sad when the class ended. I would highly recommend this professor.

At the end of the day, he's a great professor. Seek to find a professor who's passionate about the content taught. Professor Kraai epitomizes that. In terms of difficulty, you receive what you put in. It's not content that will come easy, but if you put the work in, your grade will reflect that.

Generally a good teacher. His lectures tend to go on political tangents, but they're usually interesting and relevant. He goes out of his way to make himself available to students. Lots of reading outside of the textbook in "Project Life." He's generally an easy grader. As long as you hand everything in, you'll definitely pass.

Dr. Kraai is a fantastic professor. He expects a lot from his students and his class was practically a full time job. BUT, I sincerely learned more from him than any professor I have ever had. The exams are in depth but almost exactly off of the pre-exam quizzes. If you go to class and work hard, you'll do well and learn more than you'll expect.

This class is very difficult if you're not a science person. This was probably the hardest class I've taken in college so far. This class is almost like a full time job. Treat it that way and you'll pass. Professor Kraai is a good professor that certainly knows his stuff.

This teacher likes to help you take your knowledge and understanding of the material a little bit farther than other bio professors might. He likes questions that cause you to really do your research and learn the material and think about things differently. This class was difficult, but as long as you work hard, it IS possible to get an A.

One of the greatest humans I ever met, sadly to the point i think it take a base of personal greatest to even be able to understand his, or maybe we are all scared and admiring at the same time! With that said first thing he cares, secondly his busy working hard, as should you! Next be ready to be pulled into a new world of understanding!!!

He's an awesome guy, and very understanding. VERY specific and meticulous abt everything, pay special attention in lecture. He hand writes his notes, which is not great, but manageable. Write outlines on the specifics after each handout, it will help more than the handouts themselves, come final exam time. If you work hard, he will notice.

I didn't have great experiences in the geology OR chemistry department at OCC. Professor Kraai puts excellent time and care into his work. He is old school and hand-writes his notes, but this class is worth your time and effort. It is a very tough class, but only because he is so knowledgeable in veterinary work, biology, and sustainability. 10/10

Anyone who rates Kraai on the lower side is just reflecting their level of participation and responsibility for the class. Whatever effort you put in this class is surely reflected in your grade, as it's mostly all about how well you note-take. He is humorous in a way I think people confuse for malice.

This class is pretty difficult, but I found it really enjoyable! Beware, the professor has a dry sense of humor that you may interpret as him being rude, but he's really trying to joke around. Lectures can get pretty boring and he's a tough grader, but you can tell he's very passionate about biology and extremely knowledgeable!
