watched southpark most of the time. Got out half hour early every session
Great teacher...doesnt lecture a lot...does a lot of group work..just be in the class and take good notes and you will pass
Easy class......participating in class lectures & going to class will help your grade....tests are pretty easy.
very easy, but you wont learn anything...dont need to show up to class
Who ever hired him as a teacher should get fired. The only reason students like him is because he is easy and he doesn't teach. Just say "NO!" to Lee.
Interesting class. Likes to show movies (and South Park) which is fun. A very easy HCOM class if you just need GE credit.
Class was pretty easy. Peter is a nice guy and does his best to make sure the class is fun. Sometimes students take advantage of his flexibility, but overall...good.
He is a cool guy, but his test are HARD! Nothing to do with lectures...I didn learn anything. He should not be teaching...he knows nothing!
He is a really nice guy who cares about his students. He does his best to modify his teaching to the way the students learn best. I would definitly recomend him to students who are laid back, and do not mind a relaxed class enviroment. If you like a strict enviroment you will not like this class.
This class is already difficult but a requirement for HCOMM majors. Peter is an extremly flexible teacher, sometimes gets taken advantage of bc of his desire to please his students. Long notes & difficult tests. If you go to class & participate, the lowest grade you'll receive is a C.
he's really laid back...easy going. He does a lot of FUN FUN activies in class... i loved going to his class cuz its always fun! haha he's pretty a good guy and i think the class average is a B. not too hard.
He's chill.total laid back class. Never any homework other than final paper. Read book for tests, his lecture notes dont help. Tests are a bit hard but just study and you'll do fine.
tests are tough and nothing about lectures. you don't learn much at all and just watch south park and snl. you don't need to go either. he's very nice and relaxed though. good guy not wonderful teacher if you wanna learn a ton.
He shouldn't be teaching. He's a nice person, but he doesn't know anything apart from the book. Take this class if you're only in it for the grade. Just read the book, make sure you know when the tests are, and do your final paper. It's a joke.
Peter as a person is cool, as a teacher possibly even better. He is fricken hilarious, voice your opinion in class discussion, make sure he knows your name, but study good for his tests.

He is a great professor!! He did really FUN in class activities and his lectures were never boring. Make sure to read the book... almost all your grade is based on tests with material straight out of the book. I found his tests to be kind of hard.. but ended up with a B in the class anyways. Take him!!!
Makes this class fun! I hate English clases but this is one good class to go to.
he's funny, has a fetish for shoes and ties. lectures are ok and funny at times.
his lectures are funny but have nothing to do with the tests! the book is a MUST. you might as well not even take notes because they don't help what-so-ever. sometimes it's hard to unerstand him. the tests are harder than expected. he tries to hard to be your friend then screws you come test time!
Peter is a nice guy but seems lost in his teaching methods. You copy notes the entire class but the answers on the test are not given in the notes. Basically what he teaches and what he tests you on is seperate information. When asked to clarify or give example, he seems lost. Nice guy but should look into getting his doctorate in communication.
Had him for a 3 hour class, never spent that long there. Just go to class and you'll pass for sure. Tests aren't that hard but you have to read the book well to get an A. All in all, not bad.
Peter is a nice guy, but not a good teacher. You will copy notes the entire class, word for word fr. the book. The test are kind of hard. He will probably make it open note if you ask. He is easy b/c if you show up to class and do nothing you will get a C. He is hard to understand during leture. Won't take him again.
Peter is hot, always wearing a suit in class even in the summer, you'll get a C in his class just for showing up, you don't even have to do any work, All the ladies think he's very sexy!
Easy and some what interesting class. Never keeps you the whole time. Copy notes word for word. Doesn't speak clearly and is very difficult to understand at times.
Very easy yet boring class. His notes were copied exactly from the book, so you don't need a book if you take notes or print from blackboard. He allowed us to have a notecard for tests. There was no homework and class was always let out early. There is basically no way you can fail this class, it was the easiest class I have ever taken!
Overall the class is enjoyable, but his tests cover more than what his study guides say. Make sure to read all the book chapters and attend regularly and you will be very successful.
i thought this was going to be a blow off class, hes super nice but his tests are soooo hard considering that he doesnt teach. You have to read on your own or you will not do well on the tests, however i stayed in close communications with him about my grades and he was pretty cool! i wouldnt recommend his class if you dont like to study and learn
Did not like the class. He seems like a nice guy, he seems to have no real idea about what hes talking about. He just reads directly from the powerpoints, which come right from book. And the test had a bunch of other stuff on them than what the study guides had. Got out early almost every time though. Study on your own for the tests and easy A
This is the most useless and waste of time class I've ever taken in CSUF. Peter is a nice person, but he's just unclear and I didn't learn anything new from his class. He gave powerpoint lectures which was exactly the same from the text. I'd take other class, unless you love complaining about your life in class and listening to others' complaints.
I had Peter for 220 and it was a great class. Lots of class interaction and application of conflict principles. I learned a lot but his tests are hard. But if you study you can do well.
PLee is a cool guy. He's funny and whatnot, and there's no need to pay attention in class. He posts all the lectures online. I just brought my laptop and browsed the net most of the class, and still got an A. Just study/do/memorize the study guides and you'll be fine. Nice guy. The group project sucked. Tests were okay. Get to leave early lots.
Omg PLee is awesome! He is so funny. I never went to class and when I did we were out early or doing discussion or watching south park and chappel show for examples! Really fun. Tests are semi hard but i got a B and thats fine with me.
He's a really cool guy, and hardly ever gets angry or frustrated with the class. Just let him get the lesson done, and he's cool with whatever else you want to do. Tests aren't too bad, but you should study. He posts everything online too, so finding study guides is really easy. You'll do well.
Funny guy. If you like watching south park and the Dave Chapelle show, he's your man!
chillest class i've ever had! all lectures were posted on blackboard. tests were easy if you studied.
cool class. he makes it fun most of the time. all his tests are right off his power point that he posts on blackboard. his tests are kinda hard but if you study you'll be ok. participate and show up to class as much as possible
He makes funny jokes and let us watch the Chappelle show etc, but as for teaching the material, he repeats whatever is on the power points. His tests aren't hard, but I think they're wrong sometimes --as in the correct answer should be something else, IMO anyway. Overall, the class is straightforward, but it's not thought-provoking or anything.
If you can settle for a B, then take this class.
If you want a teacher who doesn't read his PowerPoints and makes the material interesting, then this IS NOT the class for you. The topic of the class has so much rich information and potential, but Prof Lee lectures with little affect and with material to take up only half the class period. Suppose it's a good class if you don't want to be challeng
Peter Lee is THE professor. His class was fun, interesting and real easy if you pay close attention. His class is a little hard at times but he always encourages students to ask questions if they have any before he continues his lecture. If you want SOME fun, take this guy! =]
Honestly, the guy can be funny at times and chill when it comes to doing assignment but i learned NOTHING! He reads straight from the power points and is useless, i mean u get to wath south park every once in awhile, but think of it this way poor lectures and hard tests..not really fair.
He's a cool guy. Pretty much just does powerpoint lectures every class. Except for the occasional days when we watch south park. Test's are tough, just pay attention but don't over analyze.
He is so chill and so funny. I was way worried about this "speech" class as an incoming freshman. But it wasn't bad at all. Only 1 speech. Tests are hard though. But he's a super chill guy. Easy class overall.
This class was BEYOND easy and Prof. Lee is probably one of the most easy going professors you'll ever ever. He totally works with you. The test are NOT HARD! You barley have to pay attention in class. Read his ppts on blackboard the night before and you got an easy B. If you actually study a bit you'll get an A no problem! Take him!!!!!
This professor reads everything from his power points. The exams are semi hard considering the fact that you absolutely learn nothing but then again, he curves it to nearly a whole letter grade. You have some fun in this class such as watching south park or snl skits or the chapelle show. But other than that it's pretty easy-going...
Reads directly from powerpoint, but puts them on blackboard. He lets you watch southpark and other shows. Tests are rediculous and you learn nothing from them. he is a cool dude, not so much professor. But if you're there for fun, this class is it. The book was boring. Class was fun even though I didn't learn anything new. Mostly common sense.
He is a really nice professor, but the test is a bit hard. But
Awesome Professor. No written assignments, only exams so you must do well on them. Exams based off of powerpoint lectures (can get dry) but Professor Lee keeps you entertained with funny stories and videos. Worth taking !
I personally enjoyed his class. This prof is for anyone who loathes public speaking, since we only had two speeches really. His tests are so so, half hard half easy. He usually lets us out of class early. Powerpoints are online. Watched South Park a lot, which was entertaining, but it did relate to the material we were learning.
if you are afraid of public speaking this is the professor for you. Great way to have fun and get rid of that human communications GE requirement 100% recommend
Funny guy, you don't learn much from the lectures....when he's not showing south park and snl skits, or talking about his adventures in vegas, he basically just reads his powerpoints that are available online. Tests are hardddd. We only had one speech though, where we got to pick the topic, so if you're one of those shy types, this class is perfect
I have him for Sociology of Communications (Soci 345). Peter Lee is very funny and a nice guy. His class was interesting and even though his test are hard he dose grad with a curve which does help.:)Also If u attend class and participate in lecture but still do bad on tests, he will help you out for effort. You won't fail.
He is definitely a nice teacher, very chill with attendance. His lectures are all PowerPoint and once in a while he would show an episode of Southpark. There is two mid-terms and a final. Good for those who are afraid of public speaking and dislike writing speeches.
I regret taking his class b/c other people's public speaking skills have improved while mine have not. His class is actually not as easy as it seems. I am an A student but I got a B. He deducted points from my essay because he didn't know some of the vocab. His test material isn't really from the book or lectures. He posts all his lectures online.
He is a pretty chill guy. Loves to put on south park and snl. Tests are pretty hard because he doesn't teach, rather read stuff off power points. Good class for people who do not like to speak in public. Received a C+, which i dont even know is possible because we did nothing all semester. You have to learn the material your self. He's sarcastic.
As nice and "chill" as he may be, Prof. Lee shows no interest in having students learn how to speak in public. From beginning to end he would constantly say "think about what you say before you say it". He says the study guide follows through with the test when it actually doesn't. I studied from both PPP and the book. If you want an A don't take.
Peter Lee is a very entertaining teacher, funny guy and makes class enjoyable. If you show up to all the classes and participate, he will pass you even if you do terrible on the tests. With that said, his tests are extremely difficult and a little unfair! If you want an A in this class you will have to work hard.
This is a really easy class. He is a really funny and entertaining teacher. The class consists of 2 essays, a few tests, one group project that is super easy, and one speech on whatever you want. You don't have to go to class because everything is online, but you watch Saturday Night Live and south park a lot.
If you don't like public speaking, then this is the class to take! One speech only, and that is like your final exam at the end of the semester. He is really easy going, always cracking jokes. But at times his class can get pretty boring. Oh you will be watching South Park a lot!
Awsome Professor Great Power Points Great lectures
Test questions mostly come from the book. Lectures were hard to keep up with as he would talk fast. He covers a lot of information in his lectures but grades on curve to help his students. I had him for a 2.5 hr class, so class was long and arduous, however he would play movie clips to revive us. His lectures were dull but our discussions were fun
This class was useless. We did NOT use the book whatsoever and he did not give out any pop quizzes, meaning, I did not have to attend class. Clarity was awful.
FUN class! But the tests are a lot of information but if you are able to dedicate like 1 hour a week to studying the power points, and like 2-3 hours the week of the test. You should be FINE! He’s awesome.
Great teacher, take this class if you do not like public speaking. If you study for the tests you should be able to get an easy A
Easygoing and hilarious professor. Fantastic GE course.
Easy and interesting material, but he is an unnecessarily hard grader. My friend and I asked for feedback on papers many times and even though we fixed what he corrected us on, we still did not get the grades we were expecting. Also, he always says that only the content on the study guide will be on the tests, but there was always more than that.
I was super disappointed in this class. I was really looking forward to nonverbal communication. He basically read straight off the ppt's that were overwhelmingly full of information. The tests didn't have much to do with class lecture. If you go to class no matter how bad your test scores are you will receive a passing grade.
Mr.Lee is the man!!! He knows this class is only 100 level so he acts like it. Lots of movies (South park, SNL) which takes up almost half the semester. One project with a group and its about living on your own. Super easy A or B. I only got a B because i failed every Test but showing up to class guarantees a C. Class participation is key.
Honestly this class is a joke, as in it is super easy. Take it if you want a class you can just chill in. Tests are a little challenging, questions are given are "real life" scenarios, the answers are topics discussed. Other than that no homework and lots of videos during class
Pretty easy class, except tests can be pretty difficult. Class is taught by power points which are main points from the book, but do reccommend reading the book as well. Only did one speech in that class and overall average grading. Just really remember the info on the power points. Tests are T/F and multiple choice, but can be tricky!
If you are the type that hates public speaking, but are in need to complete the credits for the Communications GE, then this is the class for you. There is only one group presentation, one powerpoint presentation, and 3 multiple choice exams that are simple yet tricky. All we did was hear him lecture and watch tons of videos. Cool teacher.
Would not take this class again. Tests are hard. Get ready to read.I Did not learn anything in the class. Not organized at all. Keeps your grade a secret. Tough grader. Participation matters. Get ready to talk in the class .
He is a nice guy with boring lectures. No paper to write, 3 tests, random assignments here and there, and your grade is based on the class curve. you will get a C as long as you go to the class and participate even you do really bad in all your tests. No group projects. No pop quiz. He Wears bow in every class excepts the test time :)
Very easy going teacher. your Participation matters and will help your grade. listen to every word in the class because it will be on your tests. No paper to write excepts the small assignments in the class. Be patient with lectures and you will get your c.
chillest proffesor
Pretty boring class. Super nice and if I hadn't asked about my grade he probably wouldn't have noticed I was really trying to pass that class. He is too chill of a professor. Tests were a bit tough but he curves them.
This was supposed to be an easy GE class but was not. Tests were hard and long. There was no clear grading criteria. 350 available points to earn which includes the extra credits!!! Extra credit is EXTRA CREDIT.
I hated this class. The tests didn't follow the study guides and the teacher had no clear-cut criteria. Nice guy but awful class.
He teaches the material very clearly and is laid back, but gives tests that are hardly relevant to the material of the book.
Peter is a great professor. His lectures involve a lot of discussion and real-life application. He made the powerpoint slides available online as well. His tests are tough, but he always asked for feedback on how he could help us be better students. Not an easy A, but an enjoyable course. Plus, we always got out early!
He's laid back and treats everyone fairly as he does not have favorites. His assignments and projects are fairly simple but do not expect a grade back for anything except for tests. But beware, although he says his tests are easy, study the power points and the study guide and even the book because the questions on his tests are pretty hard.
Why are people giving Peter Lee bad reviews? Scratch that! One of my favorite professors i've had here! Not only is he hilarious, he cares about his students. I love Peter Lee. His tests are a bit tough but seeing we are all in college maybe you should suck it up and just study. Quit complaining. Great class and loved this professor.
Peter Lee is a true professor! Hes funny and chill. His tests are hard but he curves them... And he shows u short video clips in order to get a better understanding of the lecture hes about to give out. He wears a bow tie and never repeats it! Overall anytging below a C is your fault for not trying!
He's nice guy. Tries to make the class interesting. However, not a very good teaching style. His lectures are vague, long and reads of his power point. Way to much information to comprehend. His exams are extremely confusing. I read the entire book and still did poorly on test. Will pass class, but don't take if you really want to learn .
Peter is really funny and easygoing professor. But, he doesn't really prepare you for tests, projects or speeches. He says not to worry because he's an easy grader or that his tests are easy but don't listen to him. STUDY! His exams are probably 50% reading and 50% lecture. Work hard on the speeches & group projects because he isn't an easy grader
Peter is funny and super laid back. They're 3 tests, one group project, one 4-5 minute speech, and one 5-7 page paper. In class lectures are just off power points very similar to the textbook readings. He posts study guides before the exams that make it clear what you are being tested on, however the test questions are written confusingly.
Peter is a super relaxed professor. Tests can be a little challenging but if you go over the study guide and skim a few chapters from the book--you should be fine. I never went to office hours and you probably will never have too because the subject is very easy. Peter usually lets the class out early once he's finished with lecture. Hardly any hw.
Took him for Intercultural Comm, I've heard this professor is different in other classes, it's clear his passion is w/ intercultural. Lecture is online and has a real world examples for everything. Class is easy-going and casual discussion, which keep it interesting. Do the study guide & you'll get an A, gives candy during tests! DONT BUY TEXTBOOK!
Peter is a kind teacher who really wants to make sure his students are learning. He offers extra credit on all exams. 3 exams, 1 paper and 1 group project. Easy A if you show up to class, and show interest. He asks what could make him a better teacher. He wants you to get an A.
Peter Lee is an AMAZING professor. Really funny and you can really tell he wants you to succeed. He will curve tests if class does a little poorly. He also offers extra credit. Has a TON of funny stories and makes the lectures really relatable. The tests can be a little difficult but if you attend and take notes you'll be good. TAKE HIM.
Second time taking him, highly recommended. Straight forward lectures that are posted on online. Fun, natural (not mandatory) discussions. Minimal effort class. 2 midterms, 1 group project, 1 8-page/no sources paper. Pay attention in class, do the project and paper guaranteed A.
Professor Lee is CHILL and FUNNY. The class is pretty straightforward and very interesting . The presentations are book-based, and straightforward. Don't mind the naysayers. The tests are FAIR. Participation counts in this class, it will help everyone.
Professor Lee is such a great professor. His class is simple in practice. If you show up, participate, do what he asks, you will succeed. He provides a study guide for each test and is more than accommodating when it comes to grading. Professor Lee is funny, energetic and is one of the best professors I have taken. I enjoyed every class. Take him.
Best professor, hands down in the whole, entire HCOM department at CSUF. All I can say is that I learned more in his one class than I did with all of my other HCOM courses combined with other professors. All other HCOM professors should learn how it's done by this brilliant professor who has the whole package. Peter Lee teaches real knowledge.
Did not learn much in this class! Somewhat benefits your life but not really. Said tests are easy but they're actually not. If you're planning to take this class, make sure you REALLY study!! However, the pro of this class are the easy projects and he shows videos as part of the lecture.
The study guide was definitely not beneficial for the exams. The questions on the study guide are not organized by chapters and this got messy. His lecture slides are way too much because they are put in paragraphs instead of bullet points. He lacks passion in teaching. When a writing assignment is turned in, I did not receive a feedback or a grade
Peter Lee was one of the coolest professors I have had so far. He is lenient when it comes to homework / group projects since he wants you to pass. He goes through lecture slides that are based on the material from the book. His tests are somewhat difficult but again he is lenient and will try his best to make you pass. Call him Peter BTW.
Super funny guy. Tests are on the more difficult side but still easy to pass the class. Grades on a curve which helps a lot. Tries to make it as relatable as possible. Attendance not mandatory and power points posted online. You definitely need to study for the tests but that's normal with most classes. A lot of material learned is common sense.
This class was crap, as I was taking it I liked it. He's super cool & everyone likes him. We took 2 tests & gave like 6 speeches. I got B's on the tests & 4/6 speeches (the other 2 I didn't get my grade back by the end of the semester) but for some reason, I ended up with a C in the class. He doesn't post grades either.
This class is exactly what you want it to be. If you participate, lectures will go by a lot faster. Reading does help, but it's not mandatory to pass. If you take good notes and follow along with lectures, you'll be fine. He also grades on a curve which is amazing! I'm not the best tester so the curve helps me a ton. Highly recommend.
He is a chill professor but don't be fooled, his class is HARD. He grades harshly on assignments and tests. He just reads off the lecture slides and expects you to read the book. His tests are difficult no matter how much you study. Remember to participate in class since that will help you.
If you have a choice to pick another professor then do it, AVOID him if possible. He just reads off the lecture slides. His tests are the hardest thing ever, even if you study for days. He grades really hard on assignments and will find the tiniest mistake. This was the hardest class I had ever taken.
His class was the hardest class ever. Do not take him if you do not want to stress out. Even if you read the entire textbook, his test would still be super hard. He grades projects and writings very harsh. He would deduct points if he finds the tiniest mistake. He never posts grades so you will not know if he did a mistake or not. Worst class ever!
Prof Lee's lectures are relevant and hilarious. Participation will help you understand the concepts a lot more. His exams are challenging because they don't match up with the lectures that he gives, but luckily he gives you "shut up points" (additional points/curve) to not argue with him as some of his exam answers can be debatable.
Professor Lee was a great teacher! He's super funny and always tries to make his lectures interesting. His lectures can be word heavy. Theres very little homework and your grade is mostly based on 3 exams. He does provide extra credit and allows a curve depending on the class average. He is always willing to listen to feedback. Overall great class!
I took Professor Lee for two classes at the same time. I do not know why students are complaining his class is hard. If you don't get it, ask him questions! Still don't get it? email him! he is accommodating and will answer your emails. He is also fairly easy to talk to and wants his students to pass! I would take him again in a heart beat!
Ask around before taking his class, or you'll be self studying and depending on your peers mostly. He doesn't record his lectures, not sure why, offers extra points but exams are challenging. I will not retake or recommend him.
DO NOT TAKE HIM FOR HCOM 100!! I don't know how he is in other classes, but for HCOM 100 stay away from him! Tests are the hardest thing ever!!! SO HARD!! I studied days for it and I'm a straight A student but this class is so difficult I got anxiety from it.
Peter was one of the best professors at CSUF! He actually wants all his students to succeed in his classes. He is constantly being accommodating and is willing to make any necessary changes. I chose to take Peter for 3 courses and have not regretted any of them. Definitely recommend.
Students who care about education (and sanity) beware! I cannot tell you how frustrating it was having such a careless, nonchalant, unorganized, and sub-par professor. Harsh? No, True. His exams are borderline impossible (studying tons WON'T HELP), he's plain careless. Didn't ever even bother to enter our grades, we had no clue where we stood. >:(
Impossible to get an A in his class. He puts on this personality that makes him look chill, understanding, and caring, but he deceives us so we would think his class would be easy, when it comes to the test, ITS THE HARDEST THING EVER. Then he would say stuff like, my tests are fair and I'm not trying to give you a bad grade. BALONEY!
He has been the best professor I've had so far. Super funny and made the class entertaining. His class is lectured based and has power points every class. He likes to use videos and examples. He's very engaging and he also loves sneakers and San Francisco. There's 2 midterms, 1 final, 1 short paper, and one EASY 5-7 final paper, and 2 speeches
Peter Lee made multiple transphobic statements during his lectures then attempted to pass these statements off as belonging to "one of his friends". He expressly encourages debate and discourse in his classroom but as soon as students begin disagreeing with him, he tries to shut the conversation down and move on. Easy class to pass though.
Not a difficult teacher, just blah. Mostly lecture, 3 tests, 1 group, and 1 paper. No other homework. Instruction for assignments not clear and otherwise an uninteresting semester. Tests are hard but passable. Would take him again based on class difficulty, but not seeking him out for future classes either.
the best professor ever, cares about his students, clear/straightforward study guides, free textbook, fun lectures, fast responses outside of class hours, highly recommended
The teacher is really unfair when it comes to grading. He repeats himself a lot and complains a lot. I think I really would have enjoyed the class if it weren't for him. Group projects was not graded fairly. One person can really screw it up and guess what, its your fault.
If you're easily sensitive I wouldn't recommend taking his classes. Expect him to use the same approach when he teaches in person. The class could've been better and I wasn't offended by the pictures. His teaching style is bland. exams 50%, paper/group project is 33%. Make sure all group members submit peer reviews or every member lose points.
I took this class in Spring 2019. His tests might be hard, but he is very understanding. As long as you try your best, you should be fine :)
Creates a good environment and loves to be sarcastic
Hate this teacher. Strict on grading but makes the test so hard. Long too. He acts in a rush if you want to discuss something for advice. Not comfortable at all. Attendance is mandatory he will dock a huge chunk of your grade. Beware of lots of reading and presentations
Would not take this class again. Always felt uncomfortable if any advice after class or questions. Acted like in a rush. Since this is a communication class. There should be more group discussions. Especially to people who need to practice communication skills. In order, to "PREPARE" for their speeches. The exams and final were too long!!!
Get another teacher. He posts study guides on canvas, but let me tell you they are nothing similar to the finals, exams, or lecture notes. Studying is not even worth it! "Shut up points" are extra points but not much. HARD TEST you'd be lucky if you tried with a decent score. Majority of the class.
Professor was not it lol. He is a very tough grader and gives little help. He does long lectures and gives little details on assignments. Finals were long for no reason, he does not like arguing so he gives "Shut up" points to keep quiet. Overall decent class, but I wouldn't take this class ever again.
I'll miss having Professor Lee, he was so nice and hilarious. The lectures are very easy to follow and include skits from South Park to SNL. Beware, there's a big paper but it is not the worst. He is very forgiving when it comes to tests and will round up the score. Overall, just make sure to study (especially for the tests) and ask him questions!
Professor Lee's lectures are very funny. He always does his best to talk to us and interact so lectures aren't boring. There's one big paper at the end of the semester, but you have a month to do it. He is test heavy, but curves every one based on the average, and grades pretty easy too.
The class was very fun and I learned a lot. He likes to get the class talking. Like the comments below, he uses videos like SNL and South Park to make lessons easier for us to understand. The tests can be a bit hard so try to study the best you can (online btw). You also do a final paper, fun group activities, and two cool speeches. Very lenient!
He gives really interesting lectures and is able to use pop culture and media to connect to the lessons. Always had cool in-class activities that would make the class enjoyable and it helps meet people in your class! You actually have to study and review your notes to do well in the tests. He is a very chill and approachable teacher.
PARTICIPATION & ATTENDANCE are a good portion of your grade; open-notes if class is on Zoom; If I payed attention, I could've gotten an A; provides study guide; 2-3 mini hw assignments; 2-3 exams?; numerous ppl didn't like him but I thought he was fair; encourages debates (not arguments) for students see different intercultural POVs on daily topic
Not sure why he gets so much hate. Yes, his lectures are heavy and can get boring, but he tries to engage with his students and shows he cares. Tests are easy and barely any homework.
I don't know why everyone is so sensitive when it comes to this professor. I took this class my 1st semester at CSUF and it was my favorite. Prof. Lee tries to get students to engage and the activities in class are always fun. His tests are not hard, it's just a matter of actually studying but either way he grades on a curve + gives extra points.
Peter is an excellent professor. He tries to connect with his students as much as possible through jokes and light-hearted comments. He does lecture every class, and there is a lot of material to understand. There are only three exams, two papers, and two speeches. Nothing else, so every assignment counts. Just do the work and you will pass.
He was good overall with only a few assignments for the semester but overall easy workload and chill teacher
Your final grade is made up by attendance, small assignments, three tests, two presentations, and a paper. It sounds like a lot but you never receive homework and class time is all lectures. He makes class fun by interacting with students and using modern examples. Great class for a first time college student.
He is a pretty cool professor, and his class is very easy, but he has a weird vibe to him. He makes a lot of girls and some boys in my class very uncomfortable, I'm sure he doesn't mean to be creepy/weird, but if you get uncomfortable easily, I wouldn't recommend taking his class.
Peter Lee was an alright professor. It is very lecture heavy with about three tests during the semester including the "final". He made a couple comments and showed some videos people may deem inappropriate and it did throw the vibe of the class off a bit. Participation matters a lot, even if you don't think he notices that you don't talk he does.
Professor Lee's class is engaging and fun, with interesting lectures and activities. While the tests can be challenging, he curves the grades and is overall lenient. Unstuck AI was a great study tool that really helped me prepare. Definitely recommend taking this class!
Professor Lee wasn't that much of a lecture-heavy class; the class usually ran for about an hour & a half. There are very few assignments, but they are engaging and interesting. There are about three exams, study guides don't help much. He definitely pays attention to lectures and readings since he pulls mostly from there. Overall sweet professor.
unclear assignments and speech grading was bad.
I would not retake this professor, who sometimes makes very uncomfortable comments and has a very unclear grading criteria when it comes to writing assignments. Also assigns an unnecessarily long writing assignment at the end of the semester.
This was a really easy class. He gives the most easiest assignments that seem as they are for junior high school students and 3 tests. I took him via zoom, he wants you to have your camera on and participate. The environment is very light, he wants students to have fun in his class. He makes jokes, using fun skits as lecture material.
Pros: Stepping stone to achievement towards graduation Cons: Failing to properly prepare not grading assignments within months. Poor classroom behavior offensive language , rude and insults while teaching, he also is a very hostile person to deal with. Lack of student support This course could be well tought by another professor !
He was alright, some work. Not very many assignments, play south park and SNL live for some explanation which was cool. Allows for a cool atmosphere but it depends on the students.
I like this professor! It is lecture heavy but they're discussion based about interesting topics. Very few assignments, his tests are online and open note. Seems like a nice guy, maybe some controversial topics but it's interesting and fun. Depends on the people in class though. I would take him again!
Amazing Professor and would take him again! Coursework is structured and easy to follow. Pay attention in lectures and review the study guide for exams. Professor Lee is accessible for any questions and is easy to communicate with. This course is fun and would highly recommend.
