This guys is awesome. His little tidbits about his childhood in Taiwan is very intresting and his jokes are hillarious. He keeps me in stiches every class period!

I had the hardest time in this class. His tests are impossible to study for. The only good thing about this class is that the quizzes are easy and he lets you do them in groups.

Dr. Li is a really nice guy but I don't enjoy his class. His test questions are ambiguous and random. His lectures are boring. I've been in the class for months and am still not sure of the point or what we're supposed to get out of it.

Great professor, he is very funny and informative. He speaks with an accent but is not offended if you raise your hand and ask what he said. And he's kinda sexy (for a Chinese man)

I thought I liked Geography until I got this dude. It's the tests that kill you. The questions are horrible and it is so hard to prepare for his tests. And its sorta hard to understand him sometimes. But he can be funny and he's a nice guy.
his test questions are random and they do not make sense half the time. if you have a lot of time to study, then take him because that is exactly what you will be doing. beware of the monkey score...he doesn't like those too much!!!
If you understood 5 words this man said all semester, you're doing better than the 99 percent who didn't. The tests are very hard to study for and the only things good about this class are the quizzes and his odd sense of humor.
Mr. Li is a very nice guy and I enjoy his class, when I can understand what he is saying. He is not hard if you go to class and try to pay attention. He is hilarious! And "if you forget to come to class he forget to give you grade!"
1st of all, he's NOT hot, even for a Chinese guy-2nd, he can't speak clear ENGL, so you can't tell what he's saying- EVER!! Test ?'s are 50% from his web page, 50% from Who Knows Where!! Easy to make C, but any higher isn't likely.

This class was a complete waste of my time. This man's tests were impossible to study for. By the middle of the semester I just stopped studying because there was really no use in it. I made a D and I was happy to get it.
This guy is very hard to understand and his test are IMPOSSIBLE to study for. Avoid him at all costs. If you do bad, don't go talk to him because he will make fun of you and laugh at your "monkey score." Tells funny stories though.
Class was a total waste of my time. I didn't learn anything. I did extra credit and still ended up with a D. I think he pulls his test questions right out the air because when you look at them you wonder where they came from.
Show up to class b/c he takes attendance when he chooses. He is somewhat hard to understand. Just follow the slides and quizes for the test. Also scan over the maps and you'll do fine. Great teacher! Not as bad as people make him out to be.
He is hard to understand and only lectures about his home land of China. He is funny from time to time and is helpful if you need it. Tests are extremly difficult and you have to study on your own because you will get nothing out of lecture.

The nicest guy but his tests are a little difficult. He tells the funniest jokes if you can hear him, word to the wise Dr. Li when you are speaking to 90 students in a large room use a microphone.
This is the most pointless class I've ever taken at Tech. You can't understand what he says and its impossible to study for his tests. How anyone gets above a C is beyond me.
The tests are very difficult and you can't study for them. Very intelligent man but you can't hear him many times throughout his lecture. His grading is also weird, but he is extremely nice.

Hard to understand. Be sure and come to each class. Hard tests that are even harder to study correctly for. Make sure you read over online notes.
I dont care what anyone says he IS the worst teacher that I have ever taken. I dont even think he speaks english. His tests are for the birds, they reak horribly. He takes attendance when he chooses. He never uses the mic i dont think. I dropped it!!
1st, he's from Taiwan. 2nd studying is usually a must if you want to EARN a good grade. Kept me rolling in the aisles, but I learned a lot. I made an A very easily.
give me a break! human geography is one of the eaisest classes at tech! the practice tests on his website are practical carbon copies of the exams... beyond that, he keeps the class interesting with random jokes and cultural highlights... don't bother buying the book, you won't need it...
He is SO funny! His tests are not hard. All you have to do it study the quizzes and the old tests, and he puts them online for you! If you have really good attendance you get to drop your lowest test grade. He's cool.
It is extremely difficult to understand this teacher. His lectures barely cover anything on test. Make sure you look at practice quizzes on his website. He has no clarity. This teacher is very judgemental. Study the HOUSE designs. Class is difficult because of the teacher.
Extremely interesting and easy class. I wonder why other people failed. Maybe they should have attended 2-yr college instead of 4-yr. He does have chinese accent. Hey, majority of students have southern accent too. The problem of this class is - too many extra credits being given out.

Very funny and generous guy. Many extra-credit opportunities were given to students.Too many!! Only students with learning problems could have failed his class. Do your homework and study notes. That's the secret of getting an A from this class. Don't take it if you think this is a joke class.
Tests are difficult but if you study the material, they are fair. Practice online quiz and his online quizzes. Go over the test material a couple days before the test. Too many bonus points to get. Don't miss them. I got A, and who would fail?
If "China" is an answer choice on his tests, it is the answer! Trust me! Did not enjoy the class to the extent that I thought I would have.
One of easiest class I've had. Yes, China is one of the answers from 50 questions. Feel sorry for those who failed his tests, but they are only a few.
It is hard to understand him to start with but you catch on as the semester goes. All the notes are on the internet and the quizzes from the last semester. Dr. Li gives tons of extra credit. Tests aren't the easiest but if you study the online tests you will do pretty good.
Dr. Li was always prepared, punctual, professional. Great sense of humor, offers every possible way for students to do well. You'd have to TRY to fail his class--pay attn to his website, all his powerpoints are on it. He's very willing to help--a terrific man!

This is a very boring class, but he tries his best to make it entertaining! I think he is the only one to teach this class so you are stuck with him. He does offer a lot of Extra Credit though and most of the exam questions are from last test, so there is really no excuse to do bad!

Li is the funniest professor that I've ever had. His class is entertaining(on his end) content is another matter. He gives lots of extra credit,will drop your lowest grade & gives you his notes. His exams are rough because the figures are awful! You can't read them at all, let alone decipher them. He also has a way of never answering your questions
C. That was my grade. Lord I wish I had gone to class more often so I could drop the lowest test grade, got all the possible extra credit points and all. If you take him, don't do like me. Go to class. Very entertaining man though. There is kind of a language barrier, as in sometimes he doesn't know what your question is.
His class is very boring and you wont ever use the material again. Just have to pass the class to have a credit. He gives a lot of extra credits and a lot of chances to PASS. but I never figured out how he calculates the grades. I had an A befor final but I end up with a B at the end even though I had almost all of the extra credits.
This class is an embarassment to TTU. Extra credit for the best cell phone ringtone, extra credit for the best nickname, etc. I had an easy A, with no extra credit. Get real, TTU. Dump this "basketweaving" class and actually teach something in its place. Li's excessive extra credit is ridiculous, the subject matter is outdated and a waste.
Great teacher.He really knows his material and gives great lectures, kind of funny at times. His tests, however, are rathar difficult and lengthy and cover almost everything covered in class. Take it and have fun
I wish I had enough extra credits from this class. However, I managed to pass this class. Dr. Li is a very nice teacher trying to help students to gain extra knowledge about this world.

The guy is a great and interesting teacher. His class can be boring though, and his tests don't exactly cover the big picture, mostly from his past exam questions. He likes to nit-pick and select small details from the lecture to put on the exam. Overall, good class - I would recommend it to you, at least I got A.
Dr. Li rocks. He was a great professors and he's an even better person. She tends to make life in the Geography a little easier to deal with.

Terrible teacher. Awful English/grammar. One of test ?s, "Tendency of freight carrier costs to increase at a decreasing rate as length of haul increases in expression of..." The MOST pointless class I've ever had. Easy B, tough A. I cant believe he gets paid to teach this course. Utterly useless. Is entertaing at times but becomes boring.
This class is really fun. He will keep you wanting more, but the only downfall is the test are a little hard. You'll need to go to class and take certain notes that he TELLS you whats going to be on test. But I recommend this class to anybody.
Li is one of the most intelligent and inspiring professors I have ever had. He's usually lenient with freshman in lower division courses, but he is full of information and of great help when you get into the upper division courses. I would recommend taking him for any class, & when you get in upper level classe you must be ready and willing to work
Dr. Li makes class interesting. If you study what he tells you and study the chapters, you will do fine in his class. It is not any easy A. He does give you plenty of chances to make bonus points. He is also great about getting students to participate in campus activity and volunteer opportunities. Dr Li is very interested in students succeeding.
Starts out funny but class is hard! If you work or a heavy school load don't think you'll pass with anything higher than a C. First told us we'd not need the book but you do! Nothing online or in notes are on the test. And if you suggest anything he writes hateful emails about it. Gives chance for bonus pts only if he hears you scream it!
He is very funny during class, he tells jokes and he is just really a nice little man, but his tests are sooo hard. Even with all of the passed exams that you can print off of his website, it is still ridiculously hard. I made a D in the class. You do the opportunity to earn extra points by tutoring, so do it you will need them.
I really enjoyed his class. If you go to class you get to drop your lowest test. I never studied more than 30 minutes before the test and they were all easy. Most others in the class thought the tests were really hard but i dont know what they are talking about. If you are one of those people that doesnt have to study to get an A, its a breeze.
This class offers a good overview of cultures around the world. Dr. Li's broken english makes his stories hysterical. His tests were the easiest I have ever had. He uses the same questions every term. Don't take food to class because Rover wanders in frequently. Has anyone ever seen a more obese golden retriever? Easy A in this class.

Dr. Li is a fine professor. I enjoyed his class. I had to work for my A, as always. (I am not sure how one could make an A in this class without studying) Best advice -->Go to class, study the old quizzes and tests, sit close to the front, and you should be fine. Good Luck!

P. Li is a very smart professor. He has old tests and quizzes online. Really easy to study. Reuses 90% of questions. Easy A. He reads follows his powerpoints in class, has good humor, and really doesn't care if you show up. Three tests w/ drop; homework + quiz + (attendance) = 1.5test; 85+ is A. Great way to take a social science.
I had Dr. Li for Human Geography. He post a lot of old test and exams to study on his website that are useful if you have the right answers. You do have to take the time to answer these old test if you want to study them and this is where having a book comes in handy. He is a very funny guy and I always get a kick out of attending his classes.

Dr. Li is the funniest man alive. Hilarious because of his weird humor and his accent and laugh. Jokes all the time really makes the class enjoyable and laidback/easygoing. All the old tests are just like his new ones on his website. Doesn't make the top 10% of his class take the final exam. Great laugh.

This class was my easiest. The key is to keep up with his quizzes and such online. They are taken strait from his power points. Tests are hard but just use common sense. He's not as hard as some of these comments would suggest.

While Dr. Li is extremely hard to understand at times, he is very funny. The tests were EXTREMELY HARD. I made C's on all the tests, but ended up with an A because I kept up with the online quizzes. So, all in all, as long as you do the work, you will do fine. He also doesn't make the top 10% take the final, which is nice.

Dr. Li is a hilarious instructor with somewhat easy homework and quizzes but impossible tests. However, he gives a good amount of extra credit throughout the year. He also lets you skip the final if you are in the top 10% of the class at the end of the year. 85 is an A in GEOG 1120.

If you want an A, let me just tell you right now to stay on top of your game from the very beginning. Actually take time to do online HW...may be crucial in the end. Exams are pretty tough, so don't think you can study the night before like I did and get the grade you want. Go to class and get extra credit. Worked my butt off and still got a B.

Pretty difficult class. All he does is read his lectures straight from a powerpoint, and sometimes his points aren't very coherent. Extremely difficult to pay attention unless you just really love geography. Tests are pretty much impossible with no studying. I wouldn't recommend him.
So here is what you need to do.Print out the slides, bring them to class underline and highlight important parts on your own(I couldn't understand him.) Take the quizzes and study them (same questions on tests.) Read in the book with what is said in the ppts and you'll do fine. Also study the old exams he gives you. He reuses everything. Easy A.
This teacher is terrible. Took this for my major. He was in China and could care less whether or not I needed help. Horrible I studied hard and I am sure I will fail this course. His English isn't very good and he could careless about you and pawns his students onto his GA. Terrible I do not recommend this professor at all!
I skipped most classes but attended labs and read the notes online. He also records his lectures if you want to listen to them at home. I liked him for an elective class, but if you need information for your major, consider other professors.

A lot of people complain about how hard this class is. It's not a big deal at all. Easy A. If you would just take it semi-seriously and not blow it off for being a Gen-Ed class, with average work and average focus you will get an A. Heck, with 3 tests you only have to study 3 night the entire semester. He's just hard to understand sometimes.
Dr. Li's class is not that hard, but he is hard to understand at times and the material covered is not very interesting. He goes off on tangents a lot. He never takes attendance but he always gives extra credit questions in class using TopHat.
He is a very funny teacher. Tells you up front that you must have the book, that the book is mandatory and a lot of the information for exams will come from the book, videos he shows or posts links and documents to elearn. Read book and do homework. Tells you before final what you need to make to get a letter grade up or you can skip with grade.
Geography 1120 is the easiest class at Tech, in my opinion. You literally have to try and screw up to not get an A in his class. He gives so many extra credits and his tests are very easy. Trust me, this will be the easiest A you'll get! Just memorize his powerpoints and you're good to go
Taking him for Human Geography. He's moderately funny and the material is very simple. You have plenty of resources to easily get an A in the class to include his lectures (recorded), powerpoints, and so on, on Ilearn. He seems to like to curve grades and give bonus points. You can get a lot of bonus points just by showing up to the lectures. EasyA

Dr. Li is one of the best professors I have ever had. He cares about his students and teaches his subject with real life story breaks that alleviates the stress of college life. Some immature students do not appreciate him as a person and ridicule him for his accent and his mistakes in English. This is sad because as a non-trad, he is my favorite!

Jackie Chan is awesome! I thought I was going to make a B, but he gives so much extra credit that it is impossible to fail. Take him if you can or just take him to have a good laugh.
Attendance is not mandatory, but every class period he will do tophat that counts towards extra points on exams. difficult to understand when talking. Didn't use book in class, but for the quizzes on iLearn it's very helpful. 3 exams and then an additional exam as the final is optional.

He is not a bad Professor. You will need to read if you want an A. I got a B without reading ever. A couple online exams which are nice but you don't have the time to search the book or even google. All quizzes come from the book. All test from the lectures. He has changed the way he teaches because someone complained to his supervisor.
Better known as Jackie Chan, he is so funny and makes class interesting. There are a lot of quizzes, but they are all online and he gives SO much extra credit! I made a 64 on an exam and ended up having an 85 after all the extra credit!
Attendance is not mandatory, but showing up and using the app TopHat will get you tons of extra credit. He can be hard to understand at times, but he is very fun and will help whenever you need it. Show up to class and copy the notes and youll pass easily!
AWESOME GUY!! Added 5 points to final grade for perfect attendance, has funny contests for extra credit, and funny lectures. Drops lowest test if you take the final, drops lowest quiz, drops lowest homework! Had a great semester and I would take again if possible!!
Dr. Li was the BEST professor that I have ever had. He is very funny, caring, and understanding to all students. He offers extra credit for attendance and tophat questions. He is also very easy to get in touch with outside of class. I highly recommend him!
Dr. Li is a difficult professor but also helps out as best as he can. His tests are hard and require studying, but if you work for it, you should have no trouble passing. I ended up doing well because I watched all of his lecture videos and took lots of notes.
Dr. Li is a great professor! He is always willing to help explain something if you are confused. I had to email him several times with questions and he always responded quickly. You have a good amount of homework in this class, but if he records his lectures like he did for my class, it is nice to rewatch the lecture while working on the homework.
Amazing professor, would totally take him again! He gave lil "pop quizzes" that would count as bonus points but not negatively effect your grade. His course work was easy to follow and interesting. He always shows videos to go along with his lectures and taking the class on Zoom is available.

Easiest class ever. The only grades are the four exams, but he only counts your top three grades. Quizzes for each chapter are extra credit. Each class he does two "pop quiz" questions for extra credit on the exams. The pop quizzes are just guess the song and a basic question over something he went over in class. Would definitely recommend taking!
Dr. Li was a hilarious professor. His class is very interesting because of this. The class is not difficult at all. He gives tons of extra credit and tests are all open note/ google, you just can't use other people. With all the extra credit it was possible for me to have over a 100 for the average of the class. The final is also optional.

I really enjoyed Dr. Li's class and he made what would seem like a boring lecture class entertaining every time. He always likes to mix in small talk and personal anecdotes to create a very relaxing atmosphere. I truly believe that anyone who needs a social/behavioral science credit should take this class.
Dr. Lee is GOATED. Its facts. This man is hilarious. Seriously though, he did a great job of teaching course content and I learned a lot. He made long lectures funny and enjoyable. Who else bumps T-Swift for a pop quiz? Overall, great professor and would definitely recommend.
