The online class was kind of easy. Lots of reading and a couple papers due.

This Professor is cool! He makes class fun and engages on interesting conversations. Also he doesn't waste your time by keeping you in class longer than he should.

he is a very precise man he tells u exactly what to expect and will be clear and to the point. the class is not hard just time consuming. lots of writing and a whole lot of reading.

he's a very good teacher. his work is a little bit challenging but fair. if you do his essays exactly how he wants them, you'll do good in his class. Because he really is a very hard grader

I took this class over the summer and got an A. It's a lot of work but he is a very easy grader. I didn't read any of the 2 books, and still got A's on the essays. Just pick out some quotes and explain them and you will do fine. I would suggest taking it over the summer or winter.

Marcoux is the best! I just finished his summer online Eng 1C class and it was great. Maybe it's because I love to write but Marcoux made it fun. Great topics to write about. 6 week Summer class was same as regular 16 week semester in terms of work, no break there! Great class and teacher overall, try and take in regular semester,NOT SUMMER!

Professor Marcoux did his thang this semester, OK teacher. Summer emnrollment was the pits due to some pitfalls online, which is not his fault so you may get a greater experience taking his class in person. Overall solid comments and objective.

Great class--truly a great professor. Very prompt when responding to questions. Topics extremely interesting to explore, end of the semester got kind of hectic, but if you can keep up with the work you will do fine. Try and take him with a full semester, summer was intense.

I really enjoyed his creative writting class. It was a very easy atmosphere and if u love writting this is the class for you! Peter is very easygoing and nice. He encourages the students to do their best but doesn't stress if you turn in something less than perfect. He understands his students and tries to fo out of his way to help em.

He is a nice guy. May seem intimidating at first, but when you talk 2 him in private he is way laid back. Grades fair on essays, there is quite a bit of work though. If things go wrong and u r delayed in ur work and talk to him about it, he will make exceptions. The main book is a bit confusing, so I suggest you get help on it and the last essay.

Mr. Marcoux is a fantastic English teacher. Clear, fair, open, and interactive. The amount of reading is lower than most teachers, and enjoyable. If you do the work, he will teach you how to write a solid essay. You should have some knowledge of computers, because he mixes the on-line experience with traditional classroom lectures. Go Orange!

I Love the way proffesor Marcoux teaches, he makes everything understandable and his really helpful. The reading he provides for the class is interesting and it relates with each of the essay topics he provides. He guides through steps of how to make a great essay. i LOVE marcoux! i took him over the summer. i was dreading it since it was at 7 AM but he made the class interesting so i had no problem staying awake. he's really helpful and has helped me become a better writer. next time i take an english (since he doesn't teach any other classes i'm required to take) i'll definitely be asking him for help!

One of the best teachers I had at el camino in a long time. I took him over the summer and the class went by like a breeze. Very interesting topics, very clear and if you don't think he's clear enough (which he is) he has a discussion bored to get the whole classes opinion on the readings. Grades very fair. Marcoux is one of my favorite teachers so far. He's very friendly and connects to all of his students. I definitely could've passed the class with an A if I didn't procrastinate with the online work. If you do all the online work on time instead of the day before, which by the way helps you prepare for his Townsendpress test and vocab test, easy A.

Mr. Marcoux is a very cool professor. I had him for English RWE which was my FYE class in fall and definitely taking him again for English 1AH. He is very social and loves teaching to his students. Make sure to attend class every day because lecture does matter. And he gives insightful advice on essays. Definitely take him. You won't regret it!!!

Mr. Marcoux cares about his students and will help you when you need it. Follow the rubric and you will receive great grades. He's very clear on what he wants and funny at times. He's really approachable too, as you feel comfortable talking to him as he is both encouraging and helpful.

He loves his job. In hybrid, we had class on Thursday & everything was due Sunday night. A lot of grammar homework in the beginning. Open book quizzes right when class starts so dont be late. He doesnt accept late work and essays are worth most of your grade. Theres 5. He genuinely wants to help you. It sounds like a lot, but its an easy class.

Hybrid class - met once a week on Thursdays. Beginning of the semester, there is a bunch of grammar homework online, and quizzes first thing in class on articles assigned (open note). Stay on top of your assignments and submit them when they're due and you'll be fine in this class. Don't be scared to ask for his feedback/help on your essays.

Pro. Marcoux is a nice guy, you will not get bored in his lecture, he always gives great info. In this class, you don't really have the test, you just need to do your assignments on time, the grades are all base on the assignment.

Professor Marcoux is an excellent teacher! He divides the essays into 4 parts to make the writing process a lot easier. He gives very detailed feedback on your first draft.

Most of your grade comes from essays, but if you do the prep work it will be fine.

This class was mainly us being on our computers and just doing research for essays which were easy. He explains each assignment well, gives good feedback. As well as there are times when you will get in groups to discuss your essay or presentation.

Essays may be intimidating but the prep work (presentation outline and audio recording of rough draft) makes the whole process simple. He leaves voice comments on feedback for essays so listen to those especially when you missed something. Volunteer when he is giving feedback on essays, he doesn't bite :)

Prof Marcoux was my first English prof at my first year, and I have nothing bad to say about him at all. He was very understanding and very helpful if you felt confused about a topic, he helped out with starting your papers. He is very nice and genuinely a good person to talk to.

Very easy and straightforward class. 4 essays first 3 100 pt each last one 200 points. Has a late penalty 5 percent off per day which is very fair. De facto online.

Marcoux was very engaging, and his lectures were not boring at all. The work in this class was not difficult at all but be prepared to do a lot of research for the final essay.

Loved this professor. The format of assignments is the same for each essay. Likes it when you volunteer your work to grade in front of the class. Likes when you work ahead. Weekly discussions and 1 assignment. Super straight forward and essay based.

Breaks down papers so that you're well prepared to write them: google slides outline, record yourself reading the essay, rough draft, final draft. Discussions that make you actually read the textbook. VERY good at catching cheaters. Lectures are helpful, gives time in class to work on assignments. Loved his class honestly

Typical English class, took this class online during the summer. Essays were pretty straightforward, and weekly discussion boards. The professor is pretty chill and grades accordingly. He tells you what he wants; it's up to you if you want to follow them.
