He makes it simple, but you get the impression he's unorganised but good grades

Allows extensions and rewrites need I say more
Favorite course - role plays, etc.
Helped me in accounting for 3 hrs he doesn't even teach the course
Doesn't know how to teach.

Nicest guy ever nominated for teacher of year award by studnets
easy to get along with makes complicated theories very simple
great prof. & friend to students
makes concepts clear and simple; a funny guy who actually cares about students
ill prepared, says anything to the class to look good and doesn't follow through on his promises, knows a little and tries to confuse and confound; has his favorites and his conversations are in the minus bracket for professionalism
fun class
makes concepts easy to understand, always trying different things; class is never boring

Lets get real. He has cant teach business subjects, so then how in the heck is he supposed to teach us Communication Skills. He is business man first, and teacher second

Awesome prof. Someone obviously has no sense of humour or spelling for that matter.
very clear teacher, started class explaining what we were going to do and then we did it. His good sence of humor made the class enjoyable and you looked forward to going to it.
Great lively honest person which is a great quality to have in a prof, on the downside I found that a lot of time was wasited going to class when he never even showed up.
Peter cares about his students!!!
He's a Plagiarist. Plan and simple, he doesn't have an original idea of his. He teaches so he can steal their's. When a student creates a good business plan he jumps on it, changes it around and calls it his own, so he can look good infront of his friends
You never showed up for class
Love his class
Great guy, knows the stuff.
very bad professor doesnt care about students at all
good teacher, he knows his stuff, KNOWS HOW TO TEACH for realllllllllllllll, unlike other boring teachers and theones who hand u the book and expect you to do the learning your self , i'm impressed and learning a lot from him. he's young n he relates
BRUTAL
Easy . . . and lets face it, he makes this course as good as it can be.
Would do anything for his students
Picks a few students and favors them all year...
No favorites just has fuhn
The only teacher that relates work to real-world situations as much as possible. He teaches it best, because he knows it best. He does not favour, he just knows who is interested and who is not. The best teacher I have ever had. Ryan DeBaie
good teacher
"There's something about peter" everybody loves him, but what the hell is with his boom bust and echo, too much to read in a month when ur taking 5 courses. Take it easy on us peter. We love you man
He is not clear. He has favorite students. You don't know where your marks are coming from and you get no feedback. You have to teach yourself the material because he's always late (with a Starbucks coffee) and sits at his desk and teached you nothing.
Funny lectures, never boring, if you want to be spoonfed material go take it from someone else.
Nice guy, and some good stories, but you have to teach yourself. No structure to class material what so ever. Assignments are VERY unclear. Favors some students as well
Interesting--supposedly hurt his back and not able to teach. Why could he spend so much time hanging out at rinks if he was too "incapacitated" to be in the class. All talk and no substance.
Nice guy but is very onorganised. He favors paricular students-if you're a male who plays sports takes his class, if you don't want to waste time kissing a** and debating over which hockeys team is the best don't waste your time.
Great class - no hockey fans out there? I took 3 classes from him and never heard the word hockey mentioned - lots of money talk though - nothing wrong with that though.

He is so unorganized... We have waited weeks for marks and still no feedback, doesn't answer questions in a timely manner, has exams with no right answer to choose, changes mind without telling, is "sick" all of the time, which I have seen from other posts must be a common thing. Needs to get priorities in order!!!!!! :(
disorganized, not prepared for class, loads on work and doesn't even grade it--get rid of him
What a nut - where does he get off not doing ANYTHING? Be prepared to teach yourself, marks are late, don't hope for help.... mount should be through with him!
The epitome of LAZY! If you're interested in Michael Dell, Hockey, Starbucks coffee, paying $600 to teach yourself, and the monotony of staring at the same two Tommy Hilfiger outfits day after day, sign up for this guy. After two weeks of classes the only questions you'll have for him are "How the heck did you get this job?" and "where do I apply?"
I can't believe that he would come to class and brag about the new BMW he's getting out of our money while he doensn't even bother to do his job... What he should be doing is buying soem clothes that fit him properly. What exactly does he get paid for??? Three words....Lazy, lazy, lazy!!!! He missed half the semester? Where were you Momba?
Disorganized
My favorite professor without a doubt. He made Business interesting, which wasn't easy. He may seem to favor male students, and he may occasionally bring up the NHL or Dell, but his talent for teaching makes up for it. His was the one class I always attended.
This prof is lazy, and I will never take a class with him again. Waste of money, too bad it is a pre-req
Lazy, doesn't return assignments promptly, disorganized, not clear on marking scheme, favours students, exam q's not in textbook, serious lack of communication skills. Marks very high, is very easy, anyone can pass, if you can get through the frustration.
He tells you that materials will be available in the library and then doesn't bring them in. Frustrating!
How can the University justify paying him a salary? This guy is lazy, doesn't prepare for class, arrives late, leaves early. Complete waste of money if you are unfortunate to get in one of his classes. Go to Dal or SMU--avoid him!
Great professor. Doesn't favor students. Just relates to students who care. Good assignments that relate to real world. Will be registering for as many classes with Peter as possibe! Thanks Peter!
Not a good teacher and example; teaches OK, its the other stuff that irks me about this guy around the teaching; especially, because he has favourites. For that alone you should try to avoid this character.
Excellent prof. Peter keeps class interesting while still being entertaining. He offers opportunities for debates, and he really knows what he's talking about. I really appreciate that he makes Business Admin so interesting.
Doesn't respond to e-mail or voice mail messages, has Mount students raise money for the hockey team he coaches. He is disorganized, late for classes, doesn't hand back assignments--amazingly pathetic.
Most arrogant egocentric person you will ever meet. Doesn't teach the course because he wastes time doing useless group activities and telling random stories. His class does teach you about business in general but it does not prepare you to write the final exam!! There are things on the final that he didn't even touch on in class. Avoid him!
Where do I start? Peter keeps classes interesting, he definitly knows his stuff. He doesn't usually respond to e-mails or hand back assignments. No feedback on assignments. I thought the class was interesting. I put way more effort into this class than the majority of people in it and I got a lower mark than all of them, favours? Maybe? Not sure

He's entertaining and interesting, definitely a demanding class. Not a fan of the useless group work, even if it isnt useless it feels useless. Interesting way of grading. Kind of arrogant. But i like him i guess.
Just finishing his class now. Excellent prof.. If you read the chapters you will understand the lectures.. lots of interactive group work to tie it all together. Not arrogant at all, just very confident with his knowledge.
Excellent Prof! One of my favorites! Keeps you entertained while teaching the material. Very approchable. I really enjoyed his class and will for other classes taught by him.
had him for small bus. mgmt - find out something he enjoys then talk to him about it as if you like it too. then he will like you and you will get a good mark guaranteed
He needs to be more of a people person, and not get mad when we as student ask a lot of questions. After all, that is his job!
lazy! Can never tell when he will show up to class. He is not clear with assignment guidelines. He favors students (mostly if you are a male). Excellent for not returning homework, not giving feedback and students can't understand his grading scheme.
I had him distance through a Elluminate Live course- and we had maybe three classes. He taught us nothing, he only used the class time to go over project guidlines. All learning was self taught. I didn't pay $600 to teach myself from a textbook. He doesn't respond to emails, and only returns 50% of assignments. Frustrating prof!
enjoyed the class. Most people like Peter a lot. He uses movies, hands on assignments and talks to you. Great speakers too
INteresting work on case studies
Did not enojoy this prof. I had him for a distance course. He does not respond to e-mails and provides misinformation relating to assignments and exams. He told me my final exam was 50 q's with a 50 min time limit, I opened it and it was 120 q's in 2 hours! Would not recommend him.
I took the 4400 class via distance. The course was good and the cases were interesting. He provided a lot of feedback but grades are not easy....some don't like this
This is a self directed course, so any questions had to be asked via email. Never responded to 1 email, ever. Course was not set up for the suggested textbook, completely disorganized. $600 for this?
Took this class via distance during the summer. Much like any distance course, you need to watch the lectures, read the book, and do the assignments. I found the assignments to be somewhat vague in terms of expectations, but Dr. Mombourquette always answered my emails. He also gave me an extension on the deadlines for my assignments.
The most laid back prof! He goes over chapters in sections and occasionally has quizzes on the chapters. There is no final. Pretty straight forward course. His lectures are more of power point presentations and group discussions. Attendance isn't mandatory but he does give hints to students who attend and throws bonus points out in random
Rarely responds to emails on time. Argues with students and asks them to search everything up (we obviously emailed you after we checked Google). No collaborate sessions so that was the only way to reach him. Tough grader, very strict on grammar. Lectures are boring and slow speaker. Homework is checked after 2 months. Forget after u submit ur work
Worst prof
I've had Mombourquette for a couple of classes now and the one thing they've all had in common is that they were all a lot of work. Also, he's a really tough grader.
Peter is an excellent prof! He gives realistic and timely feedback that actually helps to improve. He clearly takes the time to read everyone's discussion posts and assignments as is reflected in his feedback. He's very detailed in explanations of assigned work & very accessible outside class time. He's a busy guy but makes time for his students!
Peter is a disaster. Business policy is a joke. You teach yourself from a syllabus. 70% of your grade is dependent on group projects. I learned nothing new. This course is just busy work. Peter is also notoriously bad for answering emails. You will need to email him 6-7 times before he responses in some cases. A huge waste of time, money, and effort
Pretty good prof. Took a long time to get marks back but was quite friendly and helpful when I truly needed his assistance.
Worst course I have taken. This is so group heavy, and completely self-taught. We are in the middle of a pandemic, and this prof did not have any realization that students are stuck in different parts of the world, switching to completely online. Toughest grader I have ever experienced. No positive feedback, extremely blunt and negative. Disaster.
Outside of final presentations, our last live class for the semester was in September for the term. Other than that we were expected to teach ourselves with very limited and vague guidance. Horrible at responding to emails, and would call out individuals and group is a negative rude way if something wasn't done correctly. Avoid!
This course was wasting money and time, nothing was new. Textbook was useless and hard to find information. Peter told us to buy it because he wrote it. Prof hardly responded emails and took years for get him do his job which is grading our assignments and papers. Avoid him.
Stay away from Dr Mombourquette at all costs, he will critique the effort you put into work when he puts zero effort into his job. Has anyone ever seen this guy actually teaching? Nope just recycled moodle pages course after course.
Peter attended a total of 5 Small Business Management classes and never came back. He has videos prepared and expects you to read the book. He wants you to buy this book because he is one of its creators, don't buy it. Don't take any of his classes. Forget asking for a late submission. He is a tough grader and expect to learn on your own.
He literally doesnt do anything. Im not sure why hes a professor at all. Youll have to email him so many times to get one single response from him and hell be rude about it too. Hell also take points off for a tiny mistake. Like 15% off for a tiny mistake. He makes me wanna bang my head off a table! So inaccessible and rude
Peter is... well....alright. His small business class is Asynchronous and uses the textbook that he wrote which he forces you to pull information from for his assignments. He wants you to model his sample assignments which he puts on Moodle and I ended up writing two 3000 , and one 5000 word assignments. Class feels like a lot of "busy work".
His recordings are terrible. Audio is spotty and lots of just read about it in the text, which he wrote. Big papers worth a lot so prepare to write a lot. Easy enough course just hated the execution.
Let's just say I have no clue what he actually does throughout the term. Its April 27, end of term and like many others, I still don't have a mark for my 25%, 5000 word assignment I passed in 7 WEEKS AGO. In total, 60% of my total grade is still up in the air.. and Ive passed in everything on time or days in advance. This cant be normal.
You don't know where you stand in the class, you have to submit the next assignment before the previous is graded. He does nothing, there are no classes, you read the text on your own and hope you understand his assignment details. He gave feedback on one paper, followed it exactly on another and then got the exact same feedback copied and pasted.
Avoid this pos as much as you can. U WILL NEVER GET HIS RESPONSE SUPPER RUDE.
Worst prof I've ever had. Peter doesn't answer emails, he took over a month to grade the first major assignment, while other classes had their final overall course grades submitted Peter still hadn't graded the other two major assignments. Avoid at all costs as you'll have no idea where you stand in his class until you get your final grade.
I would not take another class with Peter. Not only did he not email back quickly, or get marks and feedback to us within a normal time frame, but his organization and leadership is poor. With papers, he expects a lot of components, but won't tell you what to include until after you do that assignment.
Business Policy with Peter is nothing new. You don't learn anything new, it just encapsulates everything learned throughout the degree. He expects three large group papers that he marks extremely hard, plus an individual case at the end of the term. He expects a lot for discussion posts as well so don't skimp out. His outline can be very vague
Clearly very intelligent but seems largely uninterested in teaching the class. Takes forever to return grades. That being said his recorded lectures are extremely thoughtful and interesting.
A very tough grader and had too many large projects to realistically finish for an Asynchronous class. Was not lenient whatsoever when I went to him with concerns about the workload. Short and blunt emails that gave no explanation to the questions I had. Extremely late giving back grades.
Communication is very lacking. Feedback/grades on any assignments were months after finishing. Pre-recorded lectures have lots of great info in them but the audio was terrible and felt very outdated. He seems very knowledgeable but also very uninterested in teaching. I would not take this Prof again if I had a choice.
I believe this is the worst professor I have ever had. He doesn't teach you anything during the strike yet he has extremely high expectations for every paper you write, and it was the lowest grade I got in any of my courses. If you want a high grade, stay away from him.
he takes for ever to give back the grades which makes it harder for you to work on your mistakes and very very strict in terms of grading he should understand that we are still students and we are still learning. he made everything very stressful and will gives a 0 for when the smallest mistakes. NEVER GOING TO TAKE A COURSE WITH HIM AGAIN .
Rigorous class with a lot of group work. The prof is tough but lectures are engaging. Unstuck AI was a helpful tool for study prep alongside the textbook.
Peter is very intelligent and a great guy!.
He acts like being head of the department gives him a free pass to be a tyrant. Grades like he's trying to make us question our life choices. You won't see grades until the semester's over, and don't even think about leniency. Business is easy? Yeah, right. After surviving his class, you'll need a therapist, not a degree (if he lets you have one).
Prof. Mombourquette graded really tough. Regardless if you tried, if it didn't meet his standard, you get 0. He takes forever to grade or respond to correspondence, and when he does respond its usually one or two words. The recordings are spotty and the moodle page is not well organized and doesn't correspond to the requirements for the semester.
My worst experience yet at school.. in comparison to all other professors I've encountered - very strict and unwilling to give any leniency or forgiveness
He abused his power as a department chair. He was rude, intimidating, and cut me off during the academic appeal. He showed extreme bias for the professor, and threatened an arbitrary 10% grade (not rubric-based) to dismiss my appeal and protect the department's image. The appeal process was unfair. My effort and my tuition fees were wasted
