easiest class ever. he gives so much extra credit for each test. you can easily go from an 85 to a 102. if you haven't taken accounting before, i would def. take him.

I don't know what those other people are talking about but Professor Oehlers makes this class so easy and he is the easiest grader. Easy A or B.

Great professor. Always willing to help. Went to his office and he helped me with internships. The class is laid out well. There are a bunch of quizzes now, along with the exams.

Great professor, tells you exactly what is on the tests and grades fairly. If you go to the office he will help you with any work you have.

The crappy ratings come from students who expect an easy A. You cant expect to do well unless you do the homework and ask questions! the tests come from the accounting dept, not from him. So they will be hard, but if you ask, he will spend hours with you preparing. The students who did the work liked him and got A's and B's.

Best teacher ever! No attendance policy, and lets you hand in assignments whenever you get around to them. Easy class to get an A, and learn a littl bit too. He is totally laid back if you need a relaxing course.

He's a cool guy! He teaches in a relaxed way and gives tests based on what he teaches..if yoy know what you're doing, it's an A in his class. Doesn't try to trick you or anything. Attendance isnt mandatory either. Pretty chilled out professor!

Great guy. if you show some enthusiasm you will get on his good side. Tries to prepare you for life more than teach the material, which I didnt mind at all. Tests are easy except for the multiple choice.

Great guy. Bad teacher. He uses powerpoints the entire class and hes really boring, so it makes it really easy not to pay attention and become lost. If you are lost, GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS! He's more than happy to help and recognizes that you're putting in effort which tends to help your grade. He used the book 4 times all semester-not worth buying

Prof. Oehlers is awesome. He may come off as boring but he knows what he is teaching. The workbook that is required is extremely helpful. He tells you exactly what problems will be on the test. If you need to take this course I highly recommend him!

Pete is the man, and knows exactly what he is teaching. Tests and quizzes are easy cause he tells you exactly what is gonna be on them. He will help you with any questions

The SUA is one of the most insanely time-consuming projects you will complete as an accounting major. However, if you build a relationship with Dr. Oehlers and go to his office hours for help, he is MORE than willing to help make the process so much easier. He is funny, so kind, and truly cares about his students. Great professor at WCU.

Oehlers is a great teacher, although the material is painfully boring. The most difficult part about this class is the projects. The SUA will take you over 60 hours minimum to complete, so it takes up more time than the actual class material. Other than that, he's a great guy who is more than willing to help his students if they need help.

My favorite accounting professor at WCU. The SUA is time consuming but he makes it easy. There's two exams and they're pretty straight forward. Try and build a relationship with Oehlers, he genuinely cares and always goes the extra mile for students.

The class itself is very boring, lectures from power points. But, he is a really caring teaching who wants his students to succeed. Two huge projects that take up a lot of out of class time, but if you go to his office hours he is more than willing to help. Great guy!

My god this class is boring, but Oehlers tries his best to keep us engaged. Lectures are dad-joke heavy, it's really endearing. He cares a lot about students, even coming to me personally during class to ask about my internship search. The SUA is the most difficult thing you will ever complete. Do NOT procrastinate like I did. I've been thru hell.

He is the nicest professor you'll meet at WCU. Go to his office hours and he'll help you with anything. Tests and homework are easy. The SUA and Quickbooks are the toughest part of the class. Work on it throughout the semester and you'll be fine. If you start a week before you are screwed

I thought I didn't like this guy, but he grew on me. He's really sweet and is very helpful in your student and work career life. The overall class wasn't bad. There are two major projects that take a lot of time, but are truly manageable. The exams have some tough multiple choice, but not as challenging essays. I also read the text book.

Who doesnt love owhlers? He is definately one of the most caring professors out there. Yes his course is boring but there is only so much you can do to make that material exciting and he tries. Grades so easy its impossible to fail.

One of the best professors I've had at WCU. If you don't know what you're doing with the SUA or Quickbooks, literally just go to his office hours and he will help you with ZERO judgement. He's here to help you and make sure you PASS.

This class was so boring, but as an Accounting major you will have to take ACC320 with Dr. Oehlers. The only upside is that he's a lenient grader so it's not hard to do well. Start on the SUA project early because it will suck up so much of your time outside of class. Overall, not a very good experience, but he's a super nice guy who cares.

Oehlers is the best, his lectures are terribly boring but he is a lenient grader. The cornerstone of this class is the SUA which is at least 15 hours of work, quickbooks is 1-3 hours. Study guides are very vague. Find a group to work with, teamwork is what helps you pass this class with an A.

Oehler is such a great guy. Most of the class is based on projects that are easy, just time consuming, so don't wait until the last minute. Find a group in the class to do all of the projects with and you'll be fine. If you need help, go to his office hours and he is more than willing to help. Tests are kind of hard but only worth 40% all together.

Great professor. Be ready to do a lot of homework and projects, but is easy if you have good time management. Can easily reach him out of class and is understanding for makeup homework and past due assignments.

Would 100% take Prof. Oehlers again, amazing professor. Very caring & always willing to help. He makes sure you understand the assignments & will pull real life examples to help understand concepts better. Take him if you can!!!

Really nice guy but okay professor. Lectures are super boring. Big project you have to do throughout the entire semester. Get a group to work on it with, I wouldn't have been able to finish without them, DONT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE!!! Midterm and final, one group presentation, and homework every few weeks. Class sucks but overall not bad

Great guy, meh professor, class is dry but manageable. 2 tests, some graded homeworks, 1 paper, 1 group project. Everything is light except tests, make sure to understand essay questions cause u will get some multiple choice wrong no matter what. SUA is time consuming, make friends to check with, do the 3 comp. assignments early for extra credit.

Oehlers is genuinely one of the nicest dudes you will ever meet. Lectures can be dry, but reading the textbook its not 100% on him, AIS is just boring. This class is an insane amount of work though. He's very helpful but the SUA takes like 50-80 hours to complete. He says what will be on the test, but its vague and covers a lot of material sadly.

Great guy, but the way he sets up his assignments doesn't really help you learn. This class is like taking algebra without ever taking math. I highly recommend you seeing him for the SUA assignment, and he does provide extra credit opportunities and gives good advice. Very easy grader! Studying I recommend just reading the text books not the slides
