Mr. Ori is new to GPC and I was recommended to him by a former class mate. He was very patient and very clear. He made us laugh, gave us points when we corrected him, he really cared about helping us understand the work. Unfortunately I got a C in this class because I didn't put all the effort I could have. I'm so mad at myself! Good Teacher.

HE is like the BEST teacher ever even if you are really bad at math you will make a good grade. I was a horle student and was afraid of math but i pass with a B. Great professor takes time to explain things however pop quizzes sometimes but easy and you can use your notes in all of them.

Prof. Ori goes out of his way to answer all questions. Email responses are very swift, tests are graded back within a day or 2. Probably one of the best, most fun, interesting and helpful teachers out there. He is lenient on the grades, but the class in general is hard. Would definitely seek him out for any other math courses.

An amazing teacher! Hes a southern older gentlemen who really cares about his students. If you come to class and do all the homework you will be great! I am terrible in math but I am doing great. He gives pop quizzes but get to class early every day and ask him if you have a quiz and review before and you will def get an A. His tests are great!

Mr. Ori is a fantastic teacher.. Participation is extremely encouraged, but not essential to passing. Attendance is important unless you are a mathematician and you're only taking the class because you have to. Ori will help you whenever you need it; he even helped me with a project for a different class. Would highly recommend.

He was Great! All homework was online for our class, and some quizzes were take home. No curve on tests, but he did extend homework when he felt the class needed it. Tests are straight forward from what he teaches in class and he follows the curriculum so you are prepared from the beginning with the syllabus. He helps out a lot at the LRC.

He is a great professor. He does not get bogged down with useless formulas. He tells you how to solve a problem in as few steps as possible

Ori is by far one of the best math teachers I have ever met. He is extremely helpful and gives you plenty of chances to succeed. he has an in class point system that keeps you on your toes in hopes of getting some extra help on the final, and tests are mapped out for you, he will tell you the class before what is going to be on the test.

Perfect attendance is extra credit. He is very realistic and is genuinely wanting to help you get through the class with knowledge gained. He's very thorough in his lectures and teaching (textbook use depends on the student). Expect a lot of homework but nothing impossible or too hard assignments. Great guy :)

Great professor. Gives extra credits for class participation which helps students pay attention in class. Lots of homework but that helps with the practice and helps with the grade. He is available before and after class and is willing to explain problems when ever you ask. Mr. Ori is a very good example of a good professor. You need to study.

Great teacher. He's pretty lenient and but will help you understand the subject. He gives good lectures in which it will help in your work significantly. He also does the quizzes in Connect (meaning you'll have multiple chances to take it again of you failed the first time). Just do the homework and you should be good.

Amazing Professor! I've taken this class 5 times and I finally passed with Ori with a B. Cares about his students. Will help as much as he can. Gives partial credit. Plenty of time. Drops one grade. Need help? Just communicate. I deff recommend him!

His class is extremely helpful there's a lot of homework and quizzes but there enough time to finish. The homework also gives a lot of cushion for the tests so if you don't do so well you won't fail. His lectures are great and he is always there to help the student. He is pretty funny and a very understanding teacher.

Ori was life saving my first semester. I was taking a math 101 class and didn't understand one concept in my primary class. However after taking Ori 098 math class my grades on test has risen from a 65 to a 91. He breaks down every mathematic problem. He makes it simple to understand and he's extremely patient. He actually enjoys teaching.

For a math genius who has degrees akin to that of a math genius, Prof. Ori is the most kind, helpful and invested professor for Math I have had. Don't get it twisted - DO THE WORK, GO TO ALL THE LECTURES AND INVEST THE TIME. Doing all this plus with his leadership you will understand Math in a new way. Because of him I can now prep for statistics!

He works in the tutor lab so you can come to him for help in his class. There are opportunities everyday to correct something he wrote to earn a "dot" which add up to 3% to your course grade. Students speak up and engage to learn and share barbs with the professor. He shows concern if you are struggling. I don't like math but I'm glad I took him.

There are not enough characters to describe how much I LOVE prof. ORI. He really breaks down the things you don't know. He listens, assist and wont go on unless he feels you have the confidence and understanding. Although I passed the support class I didn't with math 1001 bc I had Prof. Jordan who didn't care. I think Professor Ori was a great teacher. If you do the homework and the group projects you should not have a problem. Dr. Ori gave us the formulas for the complex interest rate and payment calculations. The rest of it is not hard to memorize. This was the best I have ever done in a math class, but I did put the work in.

Professor Ori was the bomb .com! I suck at math, TRULY. He helped me understand better by giving many examples with numerous explanations. Because all test are off of his thorough and intricate notes, missing his class is a no-no. Guaranteed fail with an absence. Wish he was teaching calculus! Great guy, down to earth and wants students to learn!

AMAZING professor! He's ALWAYS ready & well prepared for class like every professor should. His syllabus contains chapters you need to review before each lecture. Gives extra credit for participation & ATTENDANCE. Makes time for his students; stays late sometimes, usually in the tutoring center to offer any extra help you need. I'd take him AGAIN!

He provides plenty of extra credit for math impaired students like myself. Professor Ori makes himself available for tutoring in the lab several days/hours during the week. I never would've passed math with any other professor. Do the work and you will pass! I could've gotten at least a B, but I was not as focused due to personal issues.

Professor Ori is the best math teacher I have ever had. Not only do I like him as a teacher, but also as a person. He literally couldn't make math easier. He is also more concerned about your understanding of the material than completing hours of work. You will do work in his class, but you never feel pressured or overburdened.

Ori is a really good professor, His quizzes and tests are all online, Attendance is not mandatory but he does add an extra 5% to your final grade if you have perfect attendance. if you do not understand the material in class you can always go meet him at the Tutoring center. Would have gotten a better grade if i put in more work. TAKE HIM!

Professor Ori MAN!!! One of my favorite professors! He literally wants you to pass, but you need to want to pass to do so. Able to stay for extra help, willing to help and just a motivating professor! Now on to stat, the class itself EXTREMELY HARD .. you have to pay attention to the first chapter because it's based off that and progresses.

I took him for my Elementary Statistics during Summer 2020, but I never feel like online. I always attended his online office hours. He helped me with my homework because homework video did not work. He was in his online meeting for more than 1.5 hours. I wish he could teach calculus and other math. He is always there for you. Just my favorite Prof

A great professor. For online classes, he didn't have regular lectures, but he did often post mini lectures that helped a lot. The thing I liked the most was that, as an online teacher, he was extremely available and communicative with the students, very good about answering emails and questions, having lots of office hours, and giving guidance.

Took this as a Dual Enrollment student. Course was a lot of work due to weekly homework and a quiz, so time management is key. Professor Ori is really kind though, and makes it bearable. He responds to emails very quickly and very detailed, and goes out of his way to provide Powerpoints and video presentations on the content.

The class is fine. I will not say it's an easy class. You have to solve MyLab homework and do a quiz for each chapter. He will be there if you need help. The only disadvantage is that you are graded based on few things, or the final exam counts as 25% of the grade. I have done every assignment on the syllabus, and my grade was still low.

He has office hours on Webex. He makes detailed and informative lecture videos which is the best I ever watched before in any of my online classes. He uses clear language to explain the concept in lecture videos and class. He is a kind gentleman and will help you build confidence. He is the best Math teacher I ever met in my life. Please take him!

I absolutely love Professor Ori! He really cares about his students and he is a great professor. He cuts out all the confusing language and breaks things down for students. Statistics is heavily calculator based so if you pay attention in class and do the homework you will pass. Not a subject you can zone out on. Take him!

Professor Ori is very kind and patient. I went to his office all the time for tutoring and test prep. He never seemed irritated when I didn't understand something, and would try to explain something a different way just so I would understand. Show your work on problems and he'll give you credit, he's a generous grader. But you do need to try!

One of the best professors I've ever had he is definitely so patient and understanding and is willing to work with you to understand all the issues. Very attentive. The class does go by fast but if you come to class and do the homework you'll do fine. Definitely such a hard worker

Mr. Pete's class was by far my favourite this semester. He honestly couldn't have made this class any easier. He reviews exactly what's on the test and the formula sheet gives you everything. My only complaint is that the hw doesn't always match what's being taught, but that might be a department thing. Just show up, try your best, and PRACTICE!!

One sentence that captures Prof. Ori's class: He doesn't make anything harder than it needs to be. While the myLab homework can differ from the tests a bit, the difficulty of the homework makes the tests easy. Prof. Ori was great about getting back to questions via email and was very accommodating. As a non-math major this class was perfect.

Professor Ori was a great Professor, very understanding and helpful. He great with responding to email. If you do the work, and can shown you are trying- Proffesor Ori does his best to assist you. Not saying Statistics is the most easiest class but. if you do the work and study, you can easily get a good grade in his class.

Mr. Ori is absolutely amazing. He really cares for his students to grasp the Statistics concepts, which are not easy for most. He simplifies a complex statistics concept for anyone in the class to understand. Homeworks takes a lot of hours, so do them early, don't wait until the due date. During lectures Mr. Ori makes sure everyone understands.

The homework is not his fault but it is the hardest thing about the course. And prof Ori knows this and helps out. Always available outside of class during office hours. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS! Final sucks bc it's cumulative. Ori really cares whether or not his students understands the lesson. Show up to class or you won't know how to use the TI84.

He doesn't just tell students what the concepts are, but rather takes the time to explain how and why it works. Homework's were all due monthly instead of per class (which I personally really liked) so you need to know how to pace yourself. He will answer any questions in class without belittling students and isn't overly caring.

He is a good teacher but does not tolerate late work. He is demanding when it comes to understanding his teaching. Not too much work except for hw online that is due when the semester is over. Do not let that build up. hw is worth so much grade! do it weekly please. test are also worth a lot! Do your work and study for test and you'll be fine.

Loved Mr. Ori, he really was a great teacher, I was a dual enrollment student and I could definitely say this is the first time in years I really understood math. He is a really funny and laid back teacher so DO NOT feel stressed coming into this class, if you feel you're behind he'll help catch you back up. Lots of homework, two group projects.

He IS THE BEST! take him please. He chose me as a student of the semester because I was attending the SI Sessions-the leader helper- and I was asking questions, smiling at him. He is very caring and nice to the students. He gives the test questions and homework is due at the end of the semester.

Take him for MATH! Took this professor for the 2023 Fall term. VERY understanding since I had some personal family matters causing me to fall behind but I was able to pass. Try not to skip his lectures if taking a face-to-face class. Statistics can be a bit difficult, do the hw for practice for the tests! Study! Would ABSOLUTELY take him again!

Dr. Pete was one of the best professors I have ever had. He prepares students well for the real world by not requiring unnecessary steps in his problems.

I would 100% take his class again. All work was done through MyMathLab besides the final. He gives great lectures and answers any questions. Will stay after class to answer questions. Gives plenty of time to submit assignments. His iCollege was organized. If you fail in his class it's because you aren't trying because he wants everyone to succeed.

Sometimes his notes can be different from the homework that is assigned but, you can simply just ask for help and he will. If you struggle in math take him 10/10.

DO NOT MISS CLASS. Each day is new material with 2 homework assignments so missing one day can leave you behind. His lectures are PowerPoints, which are accessible to students. It's better to pay attention, note the main ideas, and then review the slides afterward. In short, Professor Ori's class comes down to attendance. He's very understanding.
