He is a great teacher, but his quizes are something else. He tricks you. He makes you think. Overall, he is ok!

Mr. Robles was a really great teacher. I took his Math 070 during intersession, and he's a wonderful teacher. He really cares that you're learning and he'll go over things until you understand the material. I highly recommend him!!! =]

He gives home work every class(extra credit of 4points).His tests online.Though he says he'll give chance to take the twice, he later gives the chance to retake the test.Word of advice;write down the questions & and answers on previous test(if you did not do well)he usaully repeats his quetions.Overall, i recommend him

The people who aren't pleased with Mr. Robles obviously didn't put an effort in the class. He gives you way too many chances to do your online tests, he lets you turn in your hw late without penalty and goes over the final study guide with you. If you can't get a good grade with all those chances he gives you, then good luck in college and life.

I adored Mr. Robles's class. He is very helpful, very clear and knows his stuff. Has a great sense of humor and makes you feel comfortable even if you don't know what's going on. Mr. Robles is an awesome instructor. He does go a little fast but will repeat and answer any questions as long as you speak up. All chapter tests are online and he gives you multiple chances by reopening the tests throughout the semester. A homework assignment is given for each chapter,worth 4 points.If you suck at math but work hard,you will pass!

I had the toughest time passing Basic Math i took it three times when it was Math 50 then it changed to 65 and was able to take it. The last time I took 65 I did not pass it was too hard and not well explained. When I took Robles my life about Math completely changed he is so easy take home tests, lets you use calculators open book and notes too.

Professor Robles is truly amazing. He is a brilliant math person but understands that not everyone is majoring in Math or Engineering. With that being said, his tests are take home, and he gives plenty of time ( 2-3 weeks) to work on these tests. His final is in-class and open book. EASIEST math class ever. He doesn't believe in homework so it's extra credit. All tests are take home. Your final will be in class and a big chunk of your grade, but over anyone can pass. Professor Robles took the fear out of taking math. I hadn't taken a math class in over thirty years! I took this class during intersession, at night, after I got off work, and although it was very fast paced he made it easy to understand. I have to still take Math 70 and Math 102, and I'll be taking them with Professor Robles !

Peter Robles is a fantastic teacher and is extremely clear about what he expects from his students on homework and tests. On every homework assignment, he left comments next to each of my incorrect answers and would walk me through the correct way of solving the problem. On a very minor note, He has a few annoying personal habits while he speaks...

First & foremost Math class will always be hard to anyone who is not good at it. Also, Math class has a lot of work to be done in able to pass or get a high grades. Anyways, Mr. Robles is very clear on his standard grading system, nice professor, and a great help in times of difficulty topics. My only concern is sometimes he teach so fast!

I adored Robles, He is the best Math Instructor at AVC he wants you to be successful. You will have take home tests and a final on campus. He is such a blessing to students at AVC. He goes a little too fast when lecturing, but if you tell him he will slow it down lol! He does have take home test and open book, open notes and the use of calculator BUT if you cheat you are only cheating yourself. Do the homework he assignes, take good notes and you should be fine. Professor Robles explains math in a clear and concise manner while making it enjoyable through his humor! He's very caring and makes certain everyone understands before he proceeds. Math was never my strong suit, however, Mr. Robles changed my view and understanding on the subject. He's very knowledgeable and passionate about Math! #1 Professor!

If this is your first semester for math I suggest you take Robles and stick with him. He got me through math 65 to 102. Trust me you will be fine in this class. Do the homework assignments the credit will add up, all test are take home so there's no stress, and he tells you exactly how many you need on final to pass and its open book. Good luck

Great professor! Homework is not hard and he will go over anything you do not understand, take home test, and open book/note final. He will let you know exactly how many questions you need to get right on the final to pass and also answer questions if you need help. He wants you to pass. OMG He's a Great Prof. He funny really cares about his students passing the class every week there is chapter test homework. he has three separate takehome test throught the semester. Before the final he tells you ur grade and how many questions you need to pass the final. he goes over everything before the final. He takes his time teaching.

First of all I Hate Math lol, but he makes it easier to enjoy it. hes respectful,funny and caring. He goes over problems more than once if you dont understand the 1st time. Shows you different ways to solve the problem. He doesnt get angry if you correct him. Tells you how many answers you need to get right to pass the final. He's great!!

Mr. Robles is the best! No quizzes, 3 take home tests, only the final is done in class. All homework is extra credit and therefore optional. Such an easy class as long as you do well on your take home tests. He does go fast during lecture, but closed mouths don't get fed. Speak up and he'll go over things again. Highly recommend.

Robles is the BEST particularly if you are not good at math, he takes math anxiety and throws it out the door. I took Mr Robles for Summer 2018 and the class was not as bad as expected for it being a summer MATH class. Mr Robles is awesome! He REALLY takes his time when teaching and will show you different ways that will help your learning style. The book is mandatory and is flexible on using the older edition. Tests are take home! Super cool! All test are take home. Homework is extra credit but not mandatory. Study guides are the same as the test. When it comes to this test if you have questions he will walk you through it and help as much as he can. He really wants all his students to pass. Prof Robles is the greatest math teacher ive had. The test are all take home except for the final he gives a study guide a week before the final and goes over it. He will help you during the final. The hw is not mandatory but worth credit. Gives you e.c. if you go to the l.c. for help. The textbook is not needed he'll give you a website to go to.

I am not good in math, but Dr. Robles made math easier, all test except final are take home test and you are given a week or two to complete the test on your own at home, homework was normal by chapters. You could used all the notes you wanted too during test even open book. If you needed extra lecture you can drop in one of his other classes.

I really enjoyed Dr. Robles. Due to Covid-19 closures this class was move to online only. We met for lectures via zoom. Unfortunately it was pretty hectic at first BUT that was not his fault. It was a transition we all had to make and adjust to. He tried every hard every class to be informative with examples and explanations. Testing was easy!

I took him for Math 102 and definitely recommend. He made this class easy to understand. Very flexible with deadlines gives you more than enough time to complete HW and exams.

Records & emails zooms to everyone after class for those who didnt show or want to review. He slows down & explains if you speak up. If you get Pearson, I dont recommend the textbook bc the book is on Pearson. Chapters go by quick & gives hw (25q, use "help" & "give example") after each & tests (25q) every three chapters. Gives extensions

I took Professor Robles for Summer 2024. I am someone who does not do well in math but i was able to pass his class with a B. He genuinely cares about his students and will help you if you ask, so make sure to ask for help if you need it! For his summer course our homework and our test were take home. I would take again 10/10 recommend!
