Pete is a funny guy.... His classes are "fun". Seriously - all you have to do is read and he gives you a study guide w/the test on it - make flash cards and you are set. Its easy if you want it to be. But GREAT professor. Super passionate, loves what he does! GREAT PROFESSOR. Guranteed: You will learn if you take his class.

Pete is a GREAT PROFESSOR!!! Do the readings before class and talk a little in group discussions. He gives you study guides before every test that ARE the test. Make flash cards- get an A. GREAT PROFESSOR. Wants his students to learn/absorb content, but does it in an interesting way. YES for Prof. Pete!

Great teacher, Just make sure you do readings. Test take alot of time and are very in depth. He gives you handouts that match the test exactly, test are essay format. Make sure you study well and show up on time. All points come from group discussions(Fun and easy participation points) 3 test(Relatively hard but grades fair) and quizzes(open book).

Pete is AMAZING. This is a class that anyone could get at any University. Do 3 things: 1. Read the assignments (however long they might be) 2. Go to class and 3. Have your own opinion in class! Talk/Participate!! Tests = easy (becuz of Study Guide) Easy A if you want it! TAKE HIM!! GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!!

Most difficult class I took this year because of the amount of studying required for tests, and unscheduled quizzes. Never have had a teacher less flexible and willing to accommodate a student previous to this. Must attend EVERY class day ON TIME, or you will lose points in class or be dropped. Try a different teacher if at all possible.

Best grossmont prof ive had! Took him for both 110 and 120. Has high expectations for you only because he believes in you and want you to learn about his class and yourself. Very reasonable and fair but you have to act like you are in college (not high school) if you want a good grade. So you have to show up on time do the work + participate.

The class wasn't bad. Good teacher (&attractive), makes subject interesting.. he's funny, gives study guides for tests.. but attendance/participation is 30% of your grade. Takes attendance. LOVE this class. The scoop: For an A read 1.5 hours twice per week (SLOWLY with your questions in front of you) and annotate your textbook, 3 tests require 4 hours of test "prep" and 3 hours of studying, pay full attention in class while taking DETAILED notes and don't miss more than 3 classes TOPS. Honesty, respect, and curiosity go a long way.

Knows what he is talking about, answers questions clearly, gives ahead what he wants on exams and work, and is a great person. Reccomended, although his exams might be rough IF you don't read the material.

He is a great professor that really knows what he talks about and is very helpful but the tests are difficult and require a lot of time to study for them. However, he helps you out in every way he possibly can. Dont be afraid to ask questions.

Prof. Schmidt is possibly one of the best people and professors I have ever had the pleasure of learning from. Incredibly wise, fair, helpful, and a whole other list of things the limit won't let me add. I learned so much about the world from this class. You do use the textbooks! He gives you an exam prep sheet with the essay prompt.

Schmidt is one of the best professors I have had this year. I would highly suggest you take him. He knows what he is talking about and really likes for people to become involved. His tests are consistent all semester (identifications and essay) If you read and listen to what he says you will do fine. He does not offer Extra Credit.

He was an awesome professor, but the material is a lot and the tests are a lot of memorization. Take this class only if you need to and have the time to study.

Dr. Schmidt was an awesome professor learned lots from his class. He is very strict and his test are TONS of memorization but if you have the info and pay attention in class you'll do fine. This is not a easy class you really have to pay attention and read the textbook. But overall loved this class and he's very helpful but you just have to ask.

Pr. Schmidt is a great instructor. The class is not easy and requires lots of writing and reading, but he makes it very engaging and fun. I highly recommend his classes to everyone who are interested in art and art history!

One of my favorite professors. He knows what he is talking about, and makes learning fun and relates material to modern day stuff. His tests are not cumulative, and they are always in the same format so you know what to expect. Only homework is reading every night (less than 10 pages) and two short papers through the semester. Highly recommend.

This is challenging class but I learned more in this class than any other class i have had. Not unreasonable amount of work, but weekly assignments keep you busy. Good reading and writing skills required. I had a hard time at first, but I asked for help and got better. Fun class, great instructor but not for high schoolers.

Dr. Schmidt was a great teacher but has incredibly high standards compared to other classes. I am a straight A student and I had to work harder in this class than any other I have ever taken. He is a good teacher but definitely not handing out grades that are not well earned. Do not take unless you are willing to work for your grade!

Lots of writing assignments, no tests just 3 essays that act as tests. You have to read and be able to write well. It was challenging but good experience and I learned and grew to appreciate Humanities. He is helpful and offers great detailed feedback on how to write better and get a better grade.

If you have the opportunity to take Dr. Schmidt DO IT! You do work- it's not an easy A course but its fun & the class discussions are something to be marveled. The book is MANDATORY for HW but its easy. This class helped me finally choose a major. He sets his classes up like real college courses so its good prep. Only 3 small papers and 3 tests!

This class is hard, but not impossible, and you will learn! Dr. Schmidt is a great professor and it is easy to respect him because he lays down the rules and sticks with them. Make sure you do the work and study for the tests before the day of. It's a great class, don't get scared off by the work.

Great teacher but this is class is not easy. You read the text for hw & then review it in groups & w. powerpoints in class the next day. There are 4 exams total where you have to define 4 terms (1 paragraph ea.) AND write an essay so be prepared. He's very educated & organized & you learn a lot over the course of the semester! Text book essential.

Dr. Schmidt is very intelligent and very articulate. Though you will often work in groups (not a bad thing!), you will learn so much in his classes. You MUST: Be on time, go to class, read and comprehend the assigned readings, participate, and STUDY. There are 3 exams, none cumulative, and he will give you a study guide with the essay question.

Dr. Schmidt is organized, articulate, and intelligent. Information comes from lectures (take thorough notes) and novels, short stories, and essays. Grades depend on class attendance, 5 or 6 essays (600-800 words), and a final project (1200-1400 words). You will work hard, but this class is very interesting, and you will learn a lot.

This teacher is amazing. The class is hard, very hard, and it takes a lot of reading and understanding, but he can honestly make you understand. He is so passionate about what he teaches and he makes it so easy to understand. He is really able to relate things to today and make students want to learn. It helps also that he's amazing looking.

I took his online Humanities 110 class, and quickly realized it would require time, but he gives exactly what you put in, and is always there to help. He gives very clear feedback. Also a very funny professor who cares about this subject matter. I only wish I could have had an on-campus class with him.

I took this class online. This course is basically a history class, except for the long hours reading and writing. I did more writing every week than any other English class Ive ever taken. He writes a very long critique section every week while cracking jokes at the same time (Peter, you are not a comedian). In summary, expect long readings,
