I took BUS 100 online in Fall 2008. Have an A. No timer on the quizzes and you can take them over to get 10's. Listen to his mp3's while you take the quiz and he answers the questions in order. Has optional non-graded discussion board. Good test review. You only need to read the parts of the book he has on test review. 3 online tests - 2 in lab

I'm in the ECO 201 D01N class, and it is not true that only few people pass the class. Prof. Shaw is tough but fair. He lets us redo our online quizzes as often as we wish to prep for tests. And has online lectures for us to access. The tests come from the book. He is very clear and lets us debate in class. I'd recommend his class.

I took Professor Shaw's online class. He laid out what was expected very clearly. A few quizzes a week (which you can take mult times), 4 tests (2 which have to be taken in the lab), and a few discussion boards. Pretty simple class.

Took Intro to Business online course. Easy to read book, quizzes available at any time and can be taken at any time. 5 tests, 3 can be taken at home with 10 extra credit points per test. Easy to understand, but still challenging. Highly recommended!!

This course was pretty easy to follow. I took the course online and the weekly assignments usually consisted of defining vocabulary words and usually a one page report on the subject matter. He provides powerpoint and online lectures which are easy to follow along. I would recommed this professor.

Given this difficult economic time, this class helped me understand what's going on. There were 5 tests and chapter quizzes (take often as you want!). Prof had wide knowledge of the economy and gave it to us straight. Definately a course everyone should take if you want understand the marketplace/jobs.

Awesome Professor. Easy quizzes weekly, which you can retake. The online course has suggested due dates, but you have until the end of the semester to complete quizzes if you have an emergency or want to retake to improve your grade. Has personal website with valid content. Great guy!

Took Business Stats with him. Knows his stuff (the local newspaper uses him as a economics expert) and gives many examples of how stats is used in the real world. Has online mp3's of lectures. Best use of Blackboard of ANY prof at TCC. It's a difficult subject for me, but i KNEW the subject when the semester was over.

Took this one online. Not easy. You have to know how to apply the formulas. First two tests you can take anywhere. The last two you have to take at the testing center. I got an A. Study. You will do good. He's very clear.

EASY class. Only complaint is his online structure is VERY disorganized. That said, take 30 minutes, figure out how to navigate his site, and you won't regret it. Professor Shaw is a good teacher with good intentions. His lectures can be interesting if you know how to ask the right questions and are interested in the subjects. His tests can be a little tricky though. He is very willing to help and will any question he can.

I took Professor Shaw online and found his class to really easy. His quizzes and tests quote the book verbatim and I'm not exactly sure how he grades the discussion questions. He is really good at keeping to the syllabus' schedule and reminds you via email frequently. Just take the quizzes and study for the tests, and you will do fine.

Took BUS 280 online and although the discussion board and quizzes were easy, his tests are not. His own study guides do not match up to the exams (5 total, 3 at home and 2 at the testing center). Use the slides as they provide more info that the exams use unless you want to memorize the book. Fairly easy course overall but STUDY hard for the exams!

Stats not my bag but this guy made it very easy to understand. he explained how we will use this stuff in the future at a university and career. visited his office for help and easy to deal with and helped me a lot. he used real world examples to show how we would use this stuff and that is how I learned the material. highly recommend the course.

Test are straight from the lecture and book. If you highlight in the book as you listen to the lecture and base your studying around that you will be just fine. The short essay questions are from the discussion board question. He tells you from the start were to look for essay questions so you can prepare beforehand. Answers email with hours.

Walk me through my problems when I needed help. 4 simple Minitab projects and quizzes you could take as often as you wanted worth 20% of your grade. took him last spring when we converted course from the classroom to online due to covid-19. made every effort to deliver the lecture as if in the classroom. always answered my questions. conducted test reviews. explains things so i could get it. tests from the book, chapter quizzes easy and cool video assignments. man, glad i took him.

thumbs up on this guy. he is sooo easy to talk to and ask questions. his quizzes and tests straight from the book. the video stuff was fun to do and interact with a classmate. book is very easy to follow. he was very fast to answer my emails and laid things out for me to understand. good guy!

one of the coolest profs i have ever had. he was always there when i needed him. showed me how to get this stuff. cool videos. chapter quizzes help me prep for tests. tests were straight up from the book material. extra credit on tests and extra credit project. heading t nsu this fall and he made me aware of what to expect at nsu.

Finished this prof over the summer. he was very easy to deal with. gave you complete assignment schedule first day of class. Quizzes and tests straight from the book. Extra credit on each test and class project. always responded to my emails. YOu follow his assignment schedule you should do well. great communicator when I spoke with him.

hey, this guy's class is righteous. weighted grades are 10% video assignments, 30% quiz assignments, and 60% test assignments. extra credit project too! taking his synchronous live class. so far, so good. cool video chapter mini-lectures i can watch anytime. live lecture sessions are really clear and he is very nice to deal with. take'em.

I have taken 3 of his classes and passed all with an A+. The way his online assignments are set up it is not necessary to actually learn the material but is helpful in the long run to. Easy A.

wrapping up 10 week course. it was intense but prof always there when i need him. great communicator to get me to understand this stuff. the chapter mini-lectures videos were a great help. assignments are basically straightforward. prof made material stuff applicable to real world stuff. definitely recommend this prof.

The most easy-A class I've ever taken. I actually wound up with a 102% in the class because of the extra credit he gives on exams. One quiz for each chapter, four projects total (with step-by-step instructions), 4 exams, and an optional final. Respondus is used but without a webcam. Everything but the projects is due at the end of the semester.
