Nice prof, with clear concrete examples. Wish he was a litter faster and more to the point in lecture but that's probably just me.

I did not like this guy:( he was horrible at answering questions and when every time I emailed him a question I would get no answer, even close to the final exam. His tests were difficult and he expected you to know so many little things.

if you like just sitting there and listening and learning this prof is for you (audio learners) . If you like a prof that engages you and teaches you the subject in a learnable way good luck. Just read the textbook and pray you pass.

One of the best professors I've ever had. Peter is super clear about what you need to learn, and provides excellent resources to succeed. His tutorials are fantastic, and I've never seen a prof dedicate so much of his free time to his students.

Talks quietly and it is a dry course so its difficult to listen. gives dozens upon dozens of examples but the tests are still brand new, and I struggled to connect them to what I'd been taught. Marking is extremely unfair, if mechanisms are rights but you mess up a letter (I'm dyslexic) you get nothing on 6 mark questions. Avoid if possible

Peter Wan is a professor that comes by once in a lifetime. If you have him, you would be incredibly lucky and would be gifted with unreal organic chemistry skills. He is straight up one of the most caring and funniest profs I ever had, and he wants everyone to succeed. Make sure to go to his tutorials, and pay attention to what he says.

Do the practice tests! They lay out the format and expected knowledge for each midterm and final exam. This makes it super easy to succeed as you don't need to scramble during a test to figure out what is going on because you already know and have practised. Lots of material to learn, but that is ochem's fault not Peter's

It's really hard to know what's coming as he seems to fly through lectures and seems to expect that the students already know half the material. I was lost the entire time and I attended lectures, read the text book and did the tutorials. Get ready for a rough semester. Ochem is hard, but Peter did nothing to make it more understandable at all.

Attendance is not mandatory, but its a must if you want an A, also do the practice assignment as it is closely based on tests, some questions would also be pulled directly from the assignments

Straight shooter. Your mark will directly reflect your time and effort spent to practice and understand the material. Peter gives clear cut guidelines on what is examinable and important to understand. Grading is fair and concise. Practice material is very representative of exams

Peter is hilarious, he tries to make a tough course more enjoyable. The condensed course is intense, you'll need to do a lot of extra work outside of class as he cannot possibly cover everything slowly or in a detailed way in class. Do every assigned problem in the book and you'll be fine. Expect lots of Breaking Bad jokes lol.

The prof made the lecture enjoyable and his teaching style was amazong. However, I found the contents were somewhat challenging for a non-chem student. If you are not ready to spend a fair amount of time on organic chemistry, this might not be the right course for you. The exams are fair and practice exams are very helpful.
