very nice teacher, he grades easy. Be careful he seemed liked he was ready for a complete breakdown, I thought he was going to inure himself.

This guy is kinda weird but is an easy Professor. You need to go to class or communicate with him. And you get to make your own webpage which is kinda cool, if you want to learn basic HTML programming.

This is the second class I have taken with Prof. Weston. Both times my experiences have been nothing but positive. He is an excellent teacher and person who is eager to teach his students and help them understand the material. Highly recommended!

He seems to really enjoy teaching- he's kind of out there, but at least he cares. Simple webpage construction- gives you lots of time for it. Do the assignments (like 4 of them) and quizzes arent so bad if you take notes on what he says.

this guy is an awesome teacher. it also helps its an easy class. if you know anything about computers, take this class and it will be a nice gpa boost

This is one of the best professors that I have ever had. He truly cares about his students and their futures. He may go off on tangents, but he knows that. He teaches things that normally would not be taught in an Internet class, but I find it to be interesting. I recommend this professor for everyone.

I thought we were going to be working with HTML instead we're forced to learn of binary digits, history of pc's, n random religious sh8t.

Umm i beg to differ with the last comment..he is a GREAT TEACHER.He pans everything out for you the notes and lectures are soooo clear. because he makes them clear to help us out. HE IS ALWAYS THERE TO HELP.and its not oonly a great teacher buta good guy. PPl dont know good teachers if they slapped them in the face because he is a great one!

It really upset me to read that comment about his "born again christian cult." Prof. Weston explicity told us that its not religious by any means and he is not trying to convert anybody into thinking about his beliefs. Maybe if you were listening you would have understand the real point.

This class is easy, but you knew that already lol. It can get boring sometimes, but hey you're getting an A for an elective. Don't buy the book. Just take notes during his HTML lectures and you'll do fine. Quizzes are not big deal. Although there was a major quiz where he he makes you write HTML for a website he shows. Easy Easy Easy.

Funny guy. WICKED EASY! Sidetracks big time from the internet, but he's very insightful. Don't have to buy a book anymore for his class. He basically guides you to make a website so you really can't miss class or your already behind. A couple quizzes which he gives the answers for. EASY A

One of the best CALC profs. He will go out of his way to make sure you understand the material. He may appear a goofball but he cares if you fail or struggle. Absolutely dedicated to class&students. Even with 40 students it felt like a one on one tutoring session. You WILL pass Calc 2 with him.

Took him for calc 2 and currently calc 3. He is my favorite professor on campus, great communication and willing to help you out. Tests are easy, just do the work. I find him to be pretty amusing.

Firstly, he gets a hottness rating because you can often see his nipples. Very clear, helpful, and just plain excited to teach. He is all about the students and is what you want in a professor. He also makes the tests easy which is nice until you take the final which was hard.

Take THis man!! He is the Best Teacher I have had In a long time.

Greatest Calc II teacher ever. He really cares about his students and making sure they "earn" an A. Communication is a big thing for him. He makes everything super easy to understand. great guy. great teacher. hes worth moving your whole schedule around in order to take his class.

This was his first semester teaching calc3. It was an interesting experience and very easy because he was trying to learn the material with us. I believe he is a good professor and cares and future semesters wont have it as easy, however he loves his students and teaching just don't blow his class off and he will bend over backwards to help you.

He is the best professor I have ever seen in my life.I took Calc II of his class.he made this sublect so clear like crystal and it's worthy to attend his class because bside learning he is so fun loving guy.he cares about his students so much and always care about all students whether they are getting A or not.I would recommend all students to take

I had him for both Calc 2 & 3. He's pretty easy and cares about each and everyone of his students and takes the time to know everyone's names. Attendance is required. He has a HUGE issue with time management though. He doesn't know how to evenly disperse the exams throughout the semester. He also lets you out of class late basically every day.

Go to class, do all the homework, study and do the practice exams.....this is a MUST. I never considered myself good at math but I got an A. Real nice guy. Call him on his cell or email him if you have a problem.

Don't miss any classes and do all the homework assignments. He does give practice exams and just changes the numbers for the real exam. As long as you know the practice problems you will do well. Nice guy. Comes off a little harsh in the beginning.

Calc2 on the overall is an extremely hard subject. However with him you'd never know it. Heard nightmare stories from honors students failing out of this subject under other profs. Unless Kiwi (Graham-Eagle) or Pennell is teaching this, do NOT take it with anyone else.

Awesome teacher. I curently have him for calc three. Really knows what hes talking about and does his best not to skip a beat. Can be interesting to listen to and he makes it very easy to get a good grade as long as you go and do your work. I highly recomend him and its by far the best math class ive taken at uml.

Professor Weston is one of the best professors at UML. I have taken calc 2 last summer and going to take calc 3 in the spring! I can't wait to attend another of his classes!

Professor Weston is, without a doubt, my favorite mathematics teacher to date. If he ever feels like he isn't communicating the material well, he makes every effort to correct himself and make it clearer. Tests are similar to the practice exams, homework is helpful, and you'll feel fulfilled by the end of the course. Can't recommend him enough!

Great Professor. Makes the subject very accessible. The class can be easy if you do the work, but he grades tough. The practice exams are perfect study guides, he doesn't give you surprises. I went out of my way to take Calc 3 with him after Calc 2. One of the few teacher I have had at uml that truly loves to teach.

He is a very, very nice guy; however, he does give a lot of homework for Calc III, much more than the other professors. He is a repetition of the textbook, everything he does and says is directly from the book. He is very helpful and accessible, and gives practice exams exactly like the real ones.

I took Calculus II summer 2013 and his calculus III fall 2013. I learned a lot in both these courses. Practice exams are given and the exam almost similar to practice given. A lot of homework assigned. Highly Reccomended! Very lean at grading And loves to communicate with his students. One of the best math professors to take!

Best Math teacher at Umass Lowell. Teaches you what is important for you to know and makes sure that you are also focused on what is important. Highly recommended. Extremely helpful.

His exams are pretty easy and he doesn't try to trick you. The homework doesn't really help since he just checks if you did it rather than doing it right. Overall good professor but students who take his class are ill-prepared for the department final.

Easily the best math professor at UML. He loves to teach and communicate and does a fantastic job at it. Exams are fair and no curve balls are thrown to try and trick you. Definitely recommend taking him as a professor

Great guy, even greater class. Punctual, a powerful speaker, a bit of a philosophy nut, but overall a great professor. Be prepared to discuss everything from the history of mathematics to the origin of consciousness.

Great professor! He really likes to emphasize the fundamentals in calculus. He can sometimes get a bit flustered and annoyed at himself in class, but this had no effect on my learning the material. Exams are easy. He takes questions directly from practice exams. Sometimes gets into philosophy, but can be interesting if you're willing to listen

I've had him for two semesters, and he is by far my best professor so far. Very clear when teaching, and if you follow along on the homeworks you will have no problem passing his class

can't say anything else but hi is the best. took his statistics class because someone recommended that and loved his class learned a lot of what is most important not just a bunch of formulas thrown at you and to be memorized he actually teaches well. I'm taking him for Calc 3 now and if you have any class you need to take. take him thank me later

I took Prof. Weston for both Calc2 and Calc 3 and he's the best professor i've ever taken. He makes the class very interesting, gives you the best notes and really takes the time to make sure everyone understands what's really going on in the lecture. He gives you practice exams that are basically identical to the real exam. Do your work, def get A

Homework is easy and graded on participation, Attendence is mandatory but he is a great guy to listen to. Teaches things very clearly. Will literally give you his cell number to text or call anytime for help. Had some wonderful thoughts at the end of the semester. One of the few professors at this school I respect.

Very fair in grading and you always know how you are doing in the class. Mandatory attendance but it's really not that bad. Fair homework policy, just beware getting behind on the homeworks. Do the work, and you'll be fine.

Best professor in the whole school, cares for his students, wants you to understand the material at a deep level while at the same time not overwhelming you with work. Take his class before it fills up!

If you know how to do the homework, you will pass the exams. The exams are nearly identical to the practice exams. The only problem I have with Weston is he spends the majority of the class deriving the equations, rather than doing problems. Overall, he is a fantastic professor and should definitely be taken for Calc

I got F in calculus 2 first time i took calculus 2 ,but after i took Calc Two with Professor Peter Weston , I got A . Just do the H.W and you will pass

Professor Weston is one his kind here at UML. His experiences are definitely something students should learn from. If you go to class just to learn Calc 3, you won't get anything out of it. Professor Weston teaches you how to appreciate the question, rather than just seek answers without thinking critically. Highly recommend taking him.

Prof. Weston is a nice guy. My issue is the lengthy derivations. That may be useful for math majors but for most scientists and engineers the applications and practice problems are more important. Attendance + HW is 30% which is generous. There are 5 out of class exams, at night which sucks. His policies are kind but unfortunately ripe for abuse.

Very inspirational! Loved him as a person but as a professor he was sometimes hard to follow. We spent a lot of time deriving equations and did few examples in class. If I could change anything Id ask for more examples! He does believe that we as students are just accustomed to learning for a test just to pass and he wants you to be engaged!

Professor Weston is one of the best! I would definitely take him again if I could. Very clear that he cares about student success, as he gives clear examples and works through any questions you may have. He gives practice exams before each exam to get students ready for the test. He is an amazing professor and person! Very happy to have had him.

This class is very challenging but Dr. Weston is hilarious and definitely makes the class bearable. The material is boring but definitely take the class.

Very sensible professor when it comes to what will be on the exam. Chap 12 and 13 match practice exam exactly. Chap 14 and 15 get taken from the HW mostly. So, don't bs HW. I bsed a lot of the HW, thats the big reason I got B+ and not A. The class can be boring sometimes, just derivation after derivation of formulas. Doesn't do too many examples.

attendance and homework only help your grade, his lectures are very clear and he shows you literally every step of how to do the problems that he puts on the tests, gives practice tests with identical questions to the real thing, tries to get to know every student in his class, cares about how students do in his class

He is a really good math teacher. More than shoving math equations into your face, he wants you to understand what that math really means. He definitely spent more time to explain theories than doing practice problems. But his tests are basically a collab of his quizzes so its really not that difficult if you do enough practices on your own.

Best Calc/ Philosophy class I have taken. Very caring professor who works through conceptualizing topics to make sure students understand what is being solved for rather than looking at equations and doing math. Attendance is a free 10% so show up. There are 15 take home quizes worth 10%. HW is effort based and 10%. 3 exams worth 45%. Final is 25%.

Professor doesn't put up with bs in his class - talking, phones, laptops and is pretty blunt if he sees this. Clear lectures/examples, gives practice exam with same format as the actual exam, so understand how to do the practice exam. Class can feel long, but as long as you pay attention in class and do the work, you'll get a good grade.

In short Professor Weston is The Man. He's really inspiring and truly cares about his students. His tests are like the protests, which are like textbook problems. He doesn't like to ask trick questions. Do all the homework and understand it and you'll be gold. Grateful I had him for CALC 3.
