Really great professor, explains everything very well, makes things easy to remember. She also gives out chapter reviews before the test, if you pay attention in class and study those you should pass all the tests. She's very helpful and very nice, and you laeve her class learning more than you thought you would.

This is my favorite teacher. i took her for general psych and for abnormal psych. i recommend both classes with her, she made everything so interesting and easy. i wish all my professors were like her.

Professor Symister was wonderful. She explained everything clearly and her homeworks were easy. She made me enjoy psycology and find it very interesting. You do your part which is not demanding and you will surely get an A. And for any student out there you have to study no matter what subject it is, once you do that you can pass anything.

Probably the best prof i ever had. Gives tons of extra credit and explains everything to the tee. Exams are easy but watch out for material not covered in class (not much but it will be there). Overall, this is an easy A+.

Very helpful and tries to keep you engaged. You absolutely can not get by without a textbook, you use it every day in class. Kind and easy going. If you study an hour and a half for each test, you're guaranteed an A. Answers emails promptly.

An amazing professor! She is far from boring and gives extra credit. Always have your textbook and your clicker! Studying is key, she provides study guides and as long as you attend class and study the study guide you will pass! And she assigns no hw other than studying for a test! Psychology is not my favorite subject but Prof.Petra teaching style gave me the opportunity to finally understand. For that I am grateful. While you are learning you will have a lot of fun in her class, it does not get boring.

Professor Petra Symister is the greatest! She's fair, fun, fantastic, and definitely a favorite! Psy 11 was over 3 hours and it's amazing that it never felt that way. Dr. Symister is amazing at lecturing . She's super organized and I love that she used clickers($13)on her pop quizzes and gives us those point towards our tests as extra credit ! She's full of wisdom and pleasant to speak to . around the time her mother passed away and I could tell that it want easy coming to work but she did it with a smile !

I absolutely LOVED Dr. Symister's class. I had her for her three hour course on Tuesdays. She let us leave 30 minutes early if we finished the material. EVERYTHING YOU WILL NEED FOR YOUR TESTS IS IN HER SLIDE SHOWS. I love the fact that she sends you all of the class notes (slideshows) on Blackboard. She's funny as hell and will gladly help

She was pretty decent, though I wish she would spend a little more time explaining things in class instead of telling us to catch up by reading the PowerPoints online. Too much off tangent talking, so more material crammed on your own.

The only thing that I've done for this class was to actually be there and pay attention. Tests aren't that hard, extra credits, no papers. She's always open to questions, very helpful & makes sure that you understand. I believe she was one of the best professors that I've ever had + I want to be in the field because she made me realize a lot.

Prof. Symister is very knowledgeable and experienced in Social Psychology. She uses ppt. Once you attend class and pay attention the tests will not be difficult. There are 3 tests (she drops the lowest score for one) and a final. Also, she uses attendance and class participation to boost your grade up. There are also extra credit for every test.

I like her , nice personality, approachable. Shes straightforward, gives you a clear grading criteria- drops the lowest score, tells u exactly how many classes you can miss, gives you ALL of her presentations and all study guides for the semester ahead of time. She is an amazing professor with expierience and very interesting lectures. Her class very fun and youre mostly graded on how you preform on tests. She doesnt give out much homework, but youre expected to know the material she covered!

The best professor you can ask for, hands down. Attendance is a must, which is common among all classes in KBCC (3 absences MAX for a 3 hrs+ course/week). She provide powerpoint slides for notes and review sheets for exams. Your grade is based on 4 exams, 1 out of 3 exams can be dropped, and final exam is not drop-able. Took her Psy intro as well.

No HW, if you show up pay attention and do your work you will easily pass, 3 absences max no excuses, drop your lowest score out of 3 test not including the final. Everything is perfect dont even need a textbook BUT you will need a clicker which only she uses in the whole campus i believe,cost 56 from the gift shop or whatever its called.

Fairly easy class to pass. She gives a review guide ahead of every exam. Show up, pay attention, take notes, have more than 10 brain cells, and you'll pass. Seriously! This class also gets you ready for PSY32, developmental (if you pay attention, that is).

Shes a great professor! Easy pass if you read the PowerPoints. I printed them before hand and took my note right on the PowerPoint print outs. Her tests are easy. Deff would recommend if u pay attention and dont just sit there n not study. You will need a clicker to answer questions during her class. Its about 60 bux. Overall great professor!!

My major is business and i thought psy11 is going to be another world but Prof. Petra Symister made it so easy. she gives very great lectures. There is no H.W. text book not required . The only thing required on your behalf is a clicker device. I promise you get it and it will boost your grade up by 30%. Highly recommend her. Do your studying .

The class is an eye-opener and her lectures are the same, as well as thought-provoking. With half a brain and punctuality, anyone can be successful in this class. Show up, do your work, read the powerpoints, and success is all but guaranteed.

I took her summer class. Shes a great professor , 3 absences you fail. Your clicker gives you extra credit, shes funny , she drops the lowest grade ( excel finals ) , she has a clear teaching method & good examples. I would love to take her again if she had more classes

Her class is really easy and you dont have to work too hard for it. PowerPoints really help, tests arent that hard. When i first started i was mad i had to pay $100 for a clicker but the clicker questions are super easy, and you get a bunch of extra credit for that so its very worth it. Even if you dont do the best on a test clicker points help

Hey Everyone! This Professor is an amazing teacher. For one she have power point slides to print out. Also have study guides on blackboard so you can pass your exams . She designed her class to have a Qt2 Clicker as a way to participate in class which help you build points on your exams. All you have to do is study and take notes ! Good Luck

I took this class asynchronous during covid so I don't know how she is with attendance but she is an amazing professor and instructions are very clear.

Great professor! Her lectures are interesting. She explains everything in a way you can understand and remember. Tests are easy, no homework. I took the class asynchronous. The syllabus had all the information you need and the instructions were very clear so nothing was a surprise. Clear grading criteria. I'd definitely take her for PSY3200 too!

I took her online class and it was one of my favorites. there's a quiz every week and the occasional discussion board. her lectures are really interesting and simple to follow. its a very straight to the point type of vibe and an easy a

5 quizzes and sometimes weekly do nows for extra credit. Professor Symister is very kind and grades very fast. However, her lectures are very informative, so be ready to take notes if you want a good grade. The final exam isnt comprehensive so you don't need to cram at the end of the semester. I looked forward to this class every week, I recommend.

She's very insistent on no phones and attendance. Very easygoing, and offers extra credit for students who participate. I barely studied for one exam and scored a 71 b/c I had TWO back to back exams for bio and she dropped it. Her lectures are also very interesting and engaging, would take again!!

Absolutely loved Professor Symister's class the same as PSY11. Just do the work because she gives you more than enough time to do so, over a week for discussion posts and tests. Easy A+ if you submit on time, strict on late work but an overall easy online class.
