This professor is very practical, straight to the point.
Excellent professor. Extra credit opportunities, hilarious, pop quizzes, about 1-3 homework assignments per week. Weekly smartbooks, only about 5 real tests throughout the semester. They are "open note" (google) so you'll be fine. Just stay on top of your work and you will not fail the class. Great intro course.
As long as you are consistent in doing the coursework and show up regularly you will do well.
Very good and easy! You just have to be able to talk in discussions and keep up with the homework's. 10/10 would take prof Reichert again.
Professor Reichert is a very good professor. I've taken 3 business courses with Professor Reichert and he has been great in my degree program. He offers numerous opportunities for points and does a multiple-part group project for the final. Professor Reichert is very friendly, caring, and understanding professor. I highly recommend him.
He is very knowledgeable in Business in many areas, I actually plan on taking his other class next semester. The structure of the class is very consistent. Lectures are over PowerPoints in canvas and it is optional to take notes. Smart books every week. Group project you get to decide everything. Great class and teacher.
He seemed to always be unprepared, and behind schedule a lot, even when it affected the assignments.
this professor is very practical and straightforward
241 not 141 - A well structured class that is true to the syllabus, so you know what to expect. However, APA is used in the course instead of MLA which can cause some trouble for those that aren't used to APA. Tuesdays were lecture with a small quiz and Thursdays were discussion. Hard to fail.
Loved his class!
Chill and laidback
Large Group Project, Weekly Discussions and weekly reading assignments. Reading assignments are lengthy.
your finals are in group projects for 3 essays. so if you dont like working in groups keep in mind! other than that hes a great proffessor
Lots of discussions that are worth a lot of point and easy to ace, the weekly smartbooks take a really long time and are only worth 10 point though, be sure to come to class because he sometimes does extra credit stuff that's worth a lot of points
His class was very engaged and realistic. He was able to relate to real world topics that actually matter and pertain to the course.
Peyton is a very nice professor and I would have him as a professor again. The bad thing about his class is that there are 100 point discussions every Thursday and if you don't talk then you get a zero and it will drop your grade. We didn't have a lot of homework but when we did it was worth a lot of points when we did.
I thought that the way he taught the class was very understandable for me. He kept it at a good pace and didn't do any surprises.
Class is formatted in a way where he explains everything in a manner you can grasp. I enjoyed the real life application information he would apply to the topic of the day. You will have to be involved with your peers in class discussions and group projects.
Pretty good professor overall. Must be willing to talk
You are required to speak during discussions, if you miss a discussion there is still nothing you can do to make up those points. Very long smart book assignments that are not worth very much in the grade book.
Discussions are every Thursday, they are intimidating at first but get easier. Lectures on Tuesday and Smatrtbooks are due Tuesday before class. There are three group projects and a presentation at the end of the semester. Overall a good class.
Long reading assignments were annoying, but overall not a hard class.
This professor was helpful as long as you took advantage of asking questions and coming in if help was needed.
He is an incredible professor and shows a lot of expertise and knowledge in the business field. His lectures are informing and relatable. There is a lot of homework but you're not required to do all of it, but it will help you're understand the material more. Overall as long as you show up and do some of the homework you should be good.
He taught the course at a good pace and I could understand the subject.
If you are introverted, be prepared to come out of your shell or reconsider taking.
great professor! but final project was a grupo project! so keep that in mind. hate the smart books but only worth 10% of grade
This professor was great and always offered help so long as you took advantage of it and asked questions.
I thought he made the course understandable and went at a good pace.
great professor!
His way of making the class engaged on lectures were AMAZINGLY INTERESTING.
Participation heavy class, you WILL be expected to speak up for grades. Attendance not mandatory but is tied to in-person points. Engaging lectures, fun guy, group presentation as end project. Recommended but will need to actively participate and put yourself out there in terms speaking. Group discussions will get you used to speaking.Great class.
Very good professor. He is clear from the beginning with the class and material. The discussions aren't as bad as they seem once you get over the initial anxiety of speaking in front of others.
Easiest and most fun class I've taken at JCCC. If he taught all my courses, I would just take his courses!!!
Best Professor I took this semester. Be ready to do the homework, but gives good lectures and is pretty nice
I loved this class because when he grades he goes into great detail to explain where you went wrong or right. That sums up the class because he is just a detail-orientated professor. I feel like I actually learned a lot from the class and lecture.
Amaizing Teacher, before I even finished this class I enrolled into 2 more of his classes for the spring.
Mr. Reichert is a fantastic professor. I took his introduction to business class and I am thrilled that I did. He is a great teacher with high energy. He really seems to enjoy the subject and is always making great efforts to engage the class. I truly don't think I would have had as much fun with this class if I had any other professor.
The class was fun and engaging, but I was not a fan of the smartbook concepts. He is nice and compassionate.
Was a fun class overall
Each week is structured basically the same with a weekly workload takes roughly 1 to 2 hours but its not difficult work
Amazing teacher, makes sure to get everyone envolved.
If the professor taught every course I needed, I would enroll in every course he teaches!
Professor Reichert is a good teacher. He explained concepts that were important in-depth and gave real life examples. There were several group projects that made up a good part of the grade, so I wasn't a fan of those. But, I would definitely take a class from him again.
This is a really great class for starting out as a business major. It feels like an overview of a little bit of everything and it's a nice way to begin learning about these topics before taking a class about them in the future. There are (almost) weekly SmartBook assignments that are easy but incredibly lengthy. Overall, he's really good though!
If you're uncomfortable with public speaking, this class may not be the best fit for you.
He's super chill and a good teacher. Learned a lot and the activities were engaging and fun!
Has really good lectures, make sure you come prepared to class discussions, other than that the class is very simple and flows very easy.
Monday lecture, Wednesday quiz (super easy), Friday discussions (also not bad at all). I love the way the class is organized.
Peyton is actually lit. He's a gen z with his PhD so he's very relatable with his students. It's a little vigorous and his group project felt like a lot but he gives you ample time. He is kind of a tough grader but gives extra credit and drops a lot of assignments. Please take him!
The class is every relax and informative, anyone who wants to learn basic knowledge of business should take this class
Chill class, cool teacher, only complaint is the smart-books being 70 concepts and only ten points
Many group projects that can easily change grade. Doesn't do makeup work, little if any exceptions to this policy. Nit picky with grading, but does offer a few extra credit opportunities. Offers good feedback, but not always timely, so it's not always applicable.
He is a very relaxed teacher and doesn't care too much about attendance or punctuality. He gives quality lectures and is not given much homework besides a Smartbook due at the end of the week and a few quizzes that are very easy. There is no final but group projects that are due periodically.
Very good and communicative professor, he applies real world scenarios to lectures which I like. The final project is a really big chunk of your grade, and it's a group project so keep that in mind, especially since the people who you choose as part of your group can affect your grade in a significant way. I like the discussions, but there's a lot.
He is a great teacher the online books suck a lot but are only worth 10% of the grade so technically you don't have to do them but my biggest recommendation is keep up on stuff or you get behind also sometimes it takes him a while to get back on project grades which sucks.
Dr. Reichart is very respectful when teaching his students. The discussions are by far the most important part of the class, so prepare well for each one. They are also the most beneficial for learning, so this style of teaching is very successful.
It's a good class overall. Discussions are hard at the start but as you get more comfortable with the class it gets easier. The rest of the class is relatively easy if you do the work. The Final Project part of the class is a bit annoying because your grade reflects your entire group's work and not just yours. Pick a good group.
There will be a big use of smart book throughout the class. Be sure to stay on top on work and allocate a few hours to do smart books/studying for discussions, and group projects.
Has really good lectures, make sure you come prepared to class discussions.
So the reading before class, but the lectures are great in covering the important topics. Lots of fun and educational group projects. Great teacher!
Class was fairly straight forward. Most of the grade comes from class discussions every Friday, other assignments aren't nearly as heavy on your grade. Monday and Wednesday are lecture days and then be prepared to talk a fair amount on discussions if you want a good grade. Dr Reichert is a really chill professor; it was a very chill class.
You don't have to be in class, it's just really helpful to. There's a good amount of homework but the notes are super good to have for tests. It can be kind of time consuming but worth it for the grade. Discussions are fun and easy to get full points if you talk, doing them at home is pretty quick. You do the work you get the good grade.
Pretty easy going class, discussions can be harder for people who don't talk a lot but they are worth a lot of points too, same thing with the smart books assignments they can be pretty lengthy. Other than those the class is pretty simple, professor is always there to help you answer any questions.
really informative lectures, stay prepared for class discussions
There is online McGraw books they are 24-70 sections they are very annoying but completeable he is super understanding and dose extra credit at the end which is good
He does not accept doctor's notes! He talks the entire time you're doing your quiz on Wednesdays he's not very clear about the group project like only one of us has to turn it in. The group projects are bull crap because if somebody doesn't do their part you have to do their work or it goes against your grade!
About a 1 hour weekly workload and each week is generally the same.
This class has a group project that is a good chunk of the grade, discussions require you talk so make sure you come in willing to talk. Peyton is a chill professor though, makes things interesting in class and is easy to talk to if you ever have issues.
Attendance is not required but a lot of the work is in class so you do want to show up. Class discussion each friday that are worth 100 points and make up a good part of your grade so show up prepaired for those.
This professor used online textbooks and in class quizess, assignments and other things to keep you engaged. If you dont like to participate dont take this class.
He is very nice, gets the class to participate. Is a bit slow on grading things.
He goes through slides quickly but the material is not hard if you do the assignments.
I like how ethuisastic he is in lectures, but he also gets straight to the point. He's not a tough grader but discussions is a good way of getting the class involved. The only thing I didn't like was the group projects at the end it tanked my grade. But maybe I was unlucky with my group.
Great professor gets along well with everyone and gets everyone involved in the class
I enjoyed being a part of his class. A lot of the material is very helpful for my career field and he cares a lot about his students! It's best to keep up with smartbooks, attend in-class quizzes and discussions (+100 points), and be cooperative and participative in the group project (there will be people who are difficult to work with).
There will be a weekly discussion which requires students to read an assigned article and answer questions. Speak up when you are able to to earn points. Get ready for the group project because it is heavy.
great professor good with concepts and examples overall the best
I had Mr. Reichert for my Introduction to Business class. He is a great teacher and a respectful person. He takes the time to ensure that every student understands difficult concepts and always finds creative ways to make the material engaging. The class was informative, providing us with a strong foundation and valuable knowledge about business.
Professor Reichert was a great professor. His assignments prepared me well for the tests and quizzes. Be prepared to work in groups and to also present and talk about your opinions in front of the class. He was nice, understanding, and clearly laid out his expectations on how to succeed in his course.
Overall good class but changed the format halfway through the semester which was a pain. Also was a very very slow grader for a majority of the semester so if you get anxious about your grade, I would avoid the course. Also utilizes APA and is strict about formatting. Pretty easy to get in contact with. Not my favorite course or professor.
Professor Reichert's 121 class is a solid choice. The structure of Monday lectures, Wednesday quizzes, and Friday discussions keeps you engaged. Doing the work and attending classes will earn you a great grade. Unstuck ai is a helpful study tool alongside the textbook.
Ridiculously over the top on his grading scale. When your average test scores for written assignments is a D. It'd be a clue you're doing too much. Making a easy class difficult for no reason.
Professor is sometimes late but always communicative and extremely engaging.
Overall, really good teacher! He knows his stuff, there is no doubt about that.
Lectures felt more like a discussion which was super nice when understanding each topic. He is witty and sarcastic at time which makes it fun to be in class. This was an in-person class which is WAY better than his online classes. Attendance doesn't matter unless it's a Friday where there is a discussion which is participation and preparation.
I took his Intro to Business class and I really love his teaching style. The chapter HW is due before the lecture on it and it makes the lectures much more engaging, as he uses them more for real-world learning and giving us examples to better our understanding of the textbook. The discussions at first were awkward but now we all talk to eachother.
I loved the discussions and the information given. However, if participating isn't your thing, you either have to break out of your shell or you shouldn't take this class. The professor is accommodating if you message him on Canvas in advance or go to his office hours.
Professor Reichert, has an interesting style of teaching. The homework load is fairly light with the majority of the grade based on weekly class discussions and group projects. Maintaining a passing grade is easy if you put forth the effort to be an active participant in the class.
A one of a kind class. Relaxed discussions, very structure week to week. You know exactly what we will do everyday.
Peyton was good! Engaging in class, I learned a lot about business and it's dynamics. The smart books take a while but I would recommend him for sure!
Love the discussions and the funny commentary during the lessons.
Prof. Reichert is an excellent teacher who provides classroom activities and group projects. We have weekly discussions where participation counts for a lot of points in your final grade. He evaluates projects very thoroughly. I would definitely take another class with him.
Overall a pretty easy class, he has discussions every Friday which are mandatory and will drop your grade if you miss but always you to drop your lowest two grades. The Final is a group project which does require some work but it isn't anything unmanageable.
While you don't have to have to go to classes you should. You lose a lot of points by missed class and you can't make them up no matter what. It was a fun class kinda thought
Peyton Reichert is a good teacher the smart books are alot but you can just skip them all together and it will barley effect your grade. Participation on wednesday matter becuase there is a pop quiz every wednesday but its easy and then firday is the most important day because we have disscussions that are worth the majortiy of your grade.
While attendance was not technically mandatory, there are quizzes every Wednesday, & discussions every Friday that are worth a lot, so showing up & participating matters. Overall he is a very good teacher & constantly pushing you. There are multiple group projects starting towards the middle of the semester, but they aren't too hard.
While Professor Reichert made marketing and business easy to understand, he also helped students become more comfortable in participating in group discussions. All in all, a great teacher.
Professor Reichert was genuine and his class was very practical has very useful applications to the real world. Part of what makes his class so relevant to the real world is that it heavily based on discussions and group projects (you can even be fired from a group and have to "apply" to be rehired). Highly, highly recommended!!
Overall good professor, just be very mindful of who you chose to be in your group for the projects, they hit your grade hard.
He's a wonderful professor, pushes you to be the best, every week there's a discussion, it helps people that have difficulties speaking in-front of others get over it and be more confident. Would definitely recommend as someone who took his classes two times!!!
He did a lot of Wednesday quizzes, and Friday discussions. I would've liked if we could've done more little activities, for example we did a Wednesday origami frog activity instead of a quiz and I personally liked that more than doing a quiz.
He's a great all-around professor
All around great teacher
The class structure is a lecture on Mondays quizzes on Wednesdays and group discussions on Fridays. Participation does matter, so if you don't like talking, this probably isn't the class for you. There is also a group project at the end, so it is in your best interest to do your part in the work. Professor Reichert is overall very easy to talk to.
Professor does gives a little bit of homework. Being in class and participating in class activities matters more than doing homework. He makes it easy to learn with real world examples and analogies. Class discussions can be difficult to get points for sometimes. He sets you up to do well in his class and you won't fail unless you don't try.
It was a fun class and a very engaging class which I love. A lot of group discussions which allows you to actually learn the course. Only downside is smart books being 70 questions and questions being repeated over and over.
He conveys information clearly, but is a tough grader and gives a lot of homework.
this class is a lot of fun you just have to participate the workload is not bad especially if you are taking other classes it takes about an hour and a half to two hours a week to do all the necessary work and the class lectures are also very good there was also a frog day that I will never forget as it altered my state of being.
Good lectures. prepare for smart books.
I would take this class again the workload wasn't bad and the expectations were clear. They're weekly discussions which account for most of your grade but if you show up and participate in those you will get a good grade in the class.
You have to participate and be engage Feedback is a 2 way street in his class If you're introverted don't take his If you want to improve your communication skills please take his class
Professor Reichert is an overall great professor! Be ready to do group projects and participate in class discussions each week!
I did like this professor because he explains really good every topic and do the best to make his point clear, which made me feel secure about what I was learning. Also, all the dynamics like discussions or groups project, are really helpful when it comes about talking in public, which I believe helped me a lot.
If you struggle with public speaking or participating don't take any of his classes, you will not pass.. But if you're willing to learn and partake in discussions you will succeed. My favorite part about his classes are the lectures and discussion, however the group projects suck. Theres a lot of homework but most of it is optional (only 10 points)
Absolutely loved the class. Attendance isn't mandatory and I was able to hold down two jobs as a full time student. Great guy and good workload.
Great guy and great class. Workload is very doable.
Dr. P was great. Attendance was not mandatory on Mondays for lecture. Wednesday, we always had a short, 5 question quiz and on Fridays, we had a group discussion. Participation is required for discussion. This class pushed me beyond my comfort zone with public speaking, and I am so grateful! Feeling more confident!
Overall this class could potentially be boring, however Professor Reichert's teaching style added life! There is a lot of reading and get ready to speak in front of the class. I would definitely recommend this class especially if you want to come out of your shell.
He was good prof. who didn't count off to much for me not showing up only on Fridays for most of the semester and since I was taking the max load of classes it helped a lot. Class is still work, but able to fit it into a busy schedule.
i first was so scared of the Friday discussions i was thinking that I may drop the class because of that, but once had it all my stress has gone away,it was stressful but i managed to do it perfectly, otherwise i am happy with how my instructor has always supported me throughout this past few months, and always wants his students to get good grades
You have to participate and be engage Feedback is a 2 way street in his class If you're introverted don't take his If you want to improve your communication skills please take his class
Amazing Teacher
Great class! There were a lot of fun discussions. We did Smart Books a lot too. I enjoyed the lectures and exams were easy.
just come to class and do work
Makes class very easy and keeps everyone entertained during lectures with inclusive presenting skills and personality.
Doctor Reichert is very personable and I had a great time in this class. I also had a positive learning experience from how much participation is involved. You will need to speak up and communicate. But prof will help you and wants you to succeed.
Amazing Teacher, everything is clear from the first day.
its not that bad.
cool dude for real
This class is very easy! As long as you show up and do the work, you will pass the class easy! He is very easy to learn from.
Professor Reichert is great, he's very funny and a great teacher. His classes are made up of weekly quizzes, online work, group projects, and weekly discussions. I've taken two of his classes now and he's great. Highly recommend him for his business classes. His classes are pretty easy as you show up and do the work.
Great professor. He does a great job making the class engaging, has always been accommodating for everyone. You have to show up on Fridays for discussions to get points and you have to talk, but its not bad especially the more the class progresses. The final project is divided into multiple parts and is worth a lot of points, but it's realistic.
Professor does a great job make every minute counts in class. If someone isn't necessary to learn he will just skip it. Gives a lot of fun stories and examples during lectures. Discussions are worth the most in the class. I wing almost every discussion. The hardest part is getting an chance to speak without being cut off. The homework is easy.
I did 2 classes before with Peyton, it's a pretty smooth course. There's so much valuable learning material in the lectures, real-life scenarios, and you do have to participate pretty heavily in this class - especially group projects and discussions, which have a lot of weight on your grade.
Lectures did not meet my expectations as all he did was read off PowerPoint slides. When it came to the group projects, he deviated from the syllabus. In addition, the instructions for the group assignments were unclear and incomplete. And it seemed like forever to have those assignments graded.
Great professor, really engages you. I would take this class again.
This was my second class I have taken with Prof. Reichert. His style is easy to follow and sticks to a standard formula of quizzes of Wednesday and discussions on Friday. Late work is not accepted but with everything laid out clearly, it is very easy to stay on top of everything and his lectures are fun and engaging.
Great professor. He does a great job making the class engaging, has always been accommodating for everyone. You have to show up on Fridays for discussions to get points and you have to talk, hwoever more the class progresses, it gets easier. The final project is divided into multiple parts and is worth a lot of points, but it isn't burdensome.
This professor is super great to have. Has a great and helpful grading system and class was built around real world scenarios. Overall great teacher and class.
The homework is very structured, so you know exactly what is coming each week. There's a group discussion each week, where participation is very important. As long as you show up to class and complete(most) of the homework, you'll get an A. He also drops a few of each assignment.
This has been my 4th class with Dr. Peyton. He is an amazing teacher. Very clear standards from day one.
This professor was very helpful and made the class enjoyable. He made the class interesting, and I liked the way the course was taught. He is gracious and he drops a few of the lowest graded assignments which is also really helpful.
Taken a few classes from this teacher, very respected and a caring teacher. Group projects are a big part of the course, but you will not be deducted if someone does not do their portion. I appreciate knowing that he cares about others and their situations. Lectures are engaging and interactive to really get each point across.
Grading is very easy and he drops a ton of assignments however because of this there is a 0 late work acceptance. Tough but fair considering. Normally there is 2 lecture days and then a fun discussion on friday. participation mandatory on fridays and wednesdays. group project realistically could be done by yourself but is a very fun assignment.
This is a great class coming into knowing person finance. If you want to set your future better with finance. You must take this class! You'll learn about Credits, insurance, debt, and how to protect yourself from sales profession. There is a weekly discussion and be willing to read for the discussion that happen weekly.
Professor uses his sense of humor to his lectures very fun. His improvision skills are amazing. Earlier this week since he messed up the lecture and class material schedule. He gives us a choice. Option 1: Continue with the slides. Option 2: Go with the wind. We all voted to go with the wind, and it was a very fun lecture.
I enjoyed taking this class. Although participation is important for this class, his grading is pretty flexible, so it allows you to miss a few things here and there and finish with a solid grade. I would suggest focusing on assignment deadlines and contribution to group projects, those are important for your grade.
The professor explains personal finance in simple, real-life terms. The assignments are easy if you read the chapters he selects from different books. Most points come from virtual book homework, and there are simulation group projects—so choose your group wisely. This class really helped me understand financial concepts and plan for the future.
He is a great teacher and he does a great job at relating it to real life. Every week there will be a class discussion that you need to show up for and can be very helpful in your investment goals. The insurance section can get long and tedious, just like actual insurance, however he provides great insight into the world of insurance.
The class is fine, very lecture heavy but it's very straight forward. Lots of group work but just pick a good group and you're fine.
They provide thoughtful feedback to each exam essay; although, it does take a while to receive it. The course layout was easy to understand and follow.
Solid class
Professor Reichert is awesome! I took this class online, found it to be very informative with low difficulty. Grading criteria was clear and Professor Reichert provided valuable feedback; you get the impression that Professor Reichert genuinely cares about your success. Definitely believe this class should be a required credit for what you learn!
Prof. Reichert is a very easy professor as long as you make sure to stay up with the class! It was very low maintenance. Personally, I would knock out all the homework or discussions at the beginning of the week so I wouldn't have to worry about it. His class is very test heavy, but he is a very easy grader.

Personally, I would knock out all the homework or discussions at the beginning of the week so I wouldn't have to worry about it. His class is very test-heavy, but he is a very easy grader. It does take some time to get feedback, though.
Very good class and easy to pass, the professor makes everything organized and easy to accomplish.
I am taking the course online and it is very easy to get in contact with the professor and she always answer any questions that you have fast. The assignments are not hard they are just assessments that take more time to complete and you need to put thought into each assessments. They exams are all written.
Lots of work each week that take time to do. Easy to get in access with the professor.
Class is pretty easy to pass. You do need to read a lot though. Unit exams are proctored 250+ word essays. She makes us do exams through Verity to prevent cheating and plagiarism. Shes very sweet though. The exams being proctored made writing essays more difficult than it should be though since no copy pasting is allowed and u can't use a notesheet
Professor Reichert was very clear of the expectations in participating in this class. The way she built the online course made it very easy to manage my schoolwork and life work, and still able to learn and benefit from this class.
This online class was better than I expected. He has specifics on the Syllabus you have to read for the 6 or 7 written Exams you have to write and it is proctored but honestly they are not that bad. You just read the chapters do a smartbook assignment and extra assignments that go with the chapter. After that you do the exam and reply to others.
Professor Reichert's class was clear and concise with material, grading, and expectations. The assignments were easy to understand and weren't overwhelmingly hard or just busy work. I appreciated the expectation to engage with my peers in discussions about course topics. Overall, a good course and an intriguing learning experience.
Pretty simple class, same amount of work every week. Test heavy but not difficult. Professor is very easy going for this online class.
Very helpful, information was given in a clear way. He gives grace for a lot of assignments, and if you do the work you will get a good grade.
He was a nice professor who was always willing to help. With that being said, one thing I would be weary of is his Smart books are 70 questions, due dates are put in wrong constantly, and there is heavy work weeks spread out
Gives good feedback, her teaching methods have you learning versus just memorizing chapters. If you have questions about anything she answers them clearly.
Overall, this class wasn't too difficult. There was quite a bit of reading to complete the assignments, but the Professor was nice.
Great professor! I took online and exams were monitored through YuJa Verify Test Proctoring. Most assignments were through Mc Graw Hill connect. Only complaint is the feedback for the exams. I would get like a low 90 and he would give feedback saying what he liked, but he didn't give feedback for what he didn't like and didn't say what I did wrong.
This class is mostly graded on tests and Smartbooks (which are 70 questions), but it's relatively easy and the grading criteria is clear.
This professor bribes students with extra credit to write reviews of him. TAKE ALL REVIEWS WITH A MASSIVE GRAIN OF SALT. If you never want to interact with your professor, and have little to no feedback, this is the professor! Takes forever to grade. You won't receive a grade until after you've taken the next test so you don't know what to improve
There are 2-3 smartbook assignments a week for the summer course which are all 70 concepts which take you roughly an hour each and guaranteed 100%. Exam questions are given prior to exam to study but only few are on the exam. All you need to do is complete smartbook and take notes only on the vocab on the powerpoints. VERY easy grader.
Overall a really great professor and class. Lots of notes, but the class and expectations are all clearly mapped out. Would recommend!
Overall great professor and class! The course expectations and assignments were clearly laid out. Lots of note taking, but easy to manage. Would definitely recommend!

Great professor, responsive, fair, and professional. His discussion boards actually encourage critical thinking, not just busywork.
Professor was responsive when sent questions but unwilling to provide feedback on how to improve on the current work assignment or future work assignments. Professor was extremely slow to grade assignments. Students were expected to know everything about business and the canvas/verity applications on the first day.
BUS 121 Online, Great professor and easy to manage workload.
The Dr. present a good materials for who seek to understand about business, its really help me a lot since there is many new knowledge gained, that before this I don't know what it mean or even exists.
Few assignments but each was information rich and lengthy. Intuitively taught an I found it quite easy.
You will learn the material through different types of assignments.
Class was alright. The smartbooks are extensive 120-200 question assignments, and in the summer you can have 3 of them in a single week. Feedback was great, format of tests being essays was to my liking. good class.
Good feedback on assignments. Essay for exam was something I liked, not sure if all will however. Smartbooks were extensive and frankly a little frustratingly repetitive at times, but alright. Overall, class was very good.
I took the online summer course for BUS 121. The only hw was 2-3 smartbooks per week which take about an hour each and a guaranteed 100% if you complete it. For exams, you choose a question from a list that is provided to you prior to the exam and write at least a 200 word essay.VERY EASY grader just take notes on the vocab from PowerPoints.
This class is very good if you want to get into the world of business, You learn a lot of good content. However, you must study a lot because the tests are difficult. If you have any interest in business take this class with this professor.
He helped accommodate me when I needed it the most
The course is not difficult. There are no recorded lectures -- just reading, SB assignments and essays. If you're not a fan of SmartBook, avoid the course as it has 70 concepts per chapter. He is not easily accessible, and instructions are passive aggressive. Also be prepared to be half way through the course before the first exam is graded.
The essays are a good way to learn and test your knowledge but the quick books are more time consuming and don't feel to helpful in my opinion.
The class had weekly assignments due but it is mainly a lot of discussion board exams. I liked that replying to comments left on your post to help strengthen your argument helped in boosting your grade. My one complaint is that it takes him a long time to grade. I didn't receive a grade for Exam 1 until after Exam 3.
I felt this professor was very kind and understanding when it comes to test anxiety. Also, very communicative. I took this as a summer course and I'm very glad I did.
Nothing was ever unclear with the assignments. Plenty of time to get everything completed if you stick with it.
This class is super laid back but I found that the professor took a while to grade my exams/discussions.
Professor Reichert is a great professor as long as you do your job as the student
Great teacher—fair, approachable, and organized. Everything was clearly laid out from day one, so there were no surprises.
Dr. Reichert consistently goes above and beyond in responding to emails and addressing concerns about classwork. Down-to-earth personality that makes you feel heard and understood. I appreciated his time, effort, and support in this class.
Just unfair and rude
Overall my experience with Professor Reichert was good! He is willing to communicate with you and hear you out. If you are planning to take the online class be aware that there are online proctored essay exams. These require much thought and intentionality. Likewise, you must be patient with the online proctoring website... it is very finicky!
Professor is very fair with grading essays. This class has several opportunities for extra credit which I appreciated. The workload is reasonable and not overwhelming, but the SmartBooks are time consuming as there are 70 concepts. This does not bother me so much, but others may not feel the same. Overall, this class has a manageable workload.
amazing and makes sure we all understand.
Work is easy to understand and straight forward and he's willing to help through anything.
straightforward, willing to help
Class is heavy focused on in-person discussions and group projects. Dr. Reichert is an amazing professor, he cares about his students and has a very good teaching style.
This class is really smooth, Smart books and Fridays will have a class discussions and you would have to be prepared for all 4 groups and read the reading to be prepared. He is sorta a harsh grader when coming to exams but overall a great professor.
Class discussions are large part of your grade. Lecture every Tuesday and discussion every Thursday. Wasn't a huge fan of the discussions, but other than that, great teacher. Makes lectures interesting and not so boring like other professors.
Took Intro to Business online and the class had both pros and cons. No lectures, 2 hour smart book assignments per week, sometimes 2. 6 proctored exams make up majority of grade. Zero credit is given for late work with very little exceptions The canvas shelf is VERY organized and grading criteria is clear. Reichert is warm and kind in demeanor.
Nice professor, homework assignments every week, attendance is not mandatory or graded which is really nice
Great at lecturing, has a weekly discussion every Thursday, if you aren't into public speaking don't take the class. A progressive group project that is majority of your grade, takes around the last 10 weeks of the class.
Great teacher easy to learn from just a lot of smartbooks.
he ight ... I guess
Professor Reichert shows a strong ability to keep the class engaged. Furthermore, he is quite enjoyable to listen to and can be pretty funny. He uses rapid slides to get through lots of material on time, which is both good and bad. It makes actually taking notes in class extremely difficult, but at the same time there are notes in Canvas. Not bad.
He is a very good professor. We have weekly discussions which are nice to see other people's perspectives and come out of your shells a bit, but this means that participation is paramount. The discussions generally aren't difficult, but you do not to prepare beforehand and, of course, participate.
The professor is very nice and very understanding if you have to not be in class.
a lot of busy work
Has a lot of smartbooks homework
Lot of group discussions and group projects. Don't take this class if you don't like to public speaking.
Nice guy. If you do the discussions well you will get an A.
This course is very good, coming from someone who does not like basic testing styles. The discussions are a very good alternative that made the class more enjoyable, and Mr Reichert is very open to discussion, which makes the class fun.
Detailed lectures with great analogies, however, may be too fast for people who struggle with note-taking. Every week, you will have a class discussion, which will be a significant portion of your grade. I don't recommend taking this class if you aren't ready to speak every week.
He is a good lecturer and has a strong ability of keeping the class engaged. Class discussions are very important so showing up and participation matters if you want to have a good grade. Uses smartbooks which are very long but they are helpful.
Overall, he keeps things fresh, so the class doesn't get too stale. Make sure to remind him of grade mistakes quickly, he won't change it if you wait too long, and he does make mistakes for the discussion grades. For lectures, he talks very fast, and skips through slides quickly, so you may need to review the lesson, or a very fast notetaker.
He is amazing of the concept very well and he did all the smart book, and the assignment are very good with the job as a teacher and the professor
He really prioritizes that all students learn and to not focus solely on good test grades. Very fun class.
Nothings handed to you in this class don't expect to score highly if you constantly skip classes. The people that decided to not take this class struggled. But the people that showed up consistently and paid attention to the rubric did well. The professor is fair, discussions aren't too bad.
good with everything all the assignment concept he it amazing
This course was very beneficial as it gave a solid introduction to the business world. The weekly assignments consisted of smart books, quizzes, and discussions. Professor Reichert was an excellent instructor, always available to assist and throw in a bit of humor.
This class is fast-paced and assignment-heavy, but super beneficial. His lectures are entertaining. The work, especially in-class discussions, feels daunting at first, but once you figure out what he wants, it gets easier. Your grade truly reflects your effort, so show up, participate, and stay on top of assignments, and you'll learn a lot.
The group projects are kind of hard, but if you actually try then you should be fine.
He is very easy going and puts it all the resources you need at your disposal, its just up to you to not mess it up.
Dr. Reichert's class is structured in a way that helps you. There is no late work, but you have the opportunity to make up points that you didn't get. There are discussions every week, worth 100 points, that are a lot of fun to do.
his class is very stressful and his grading is very strict. discussions are not very hard if someone doesn't say what you wrote down or if someone doesn't talk the whole time.
Very hard grader and make sure to do smartbooks ever week.
the professor was amazing at lecturing; I was able to learn. But it was just his time management with assignments
He places a lot of importance on group discussions, so be prepared to not just sit through lectures. Most of the homework isn't worth much, so the class is very learning based. He's good at explaining the material, though, so you will learn in the class.
He has a great teaching style and consistently ensures everyone understands course material.
Professor Reichert is a great professor and wants you to succeed in his class. He offers 3 extra credit assignments and he has about 4 group projects that are decently easy. Class discussion's are every Friday and you get a lot from this course! Exams are also decently easy. I would definitely recommend him for this class.
Professor Reichert was a very relatable and realistic teacher, and I would consider taking other classes with him. However, his grading is harsh, so you have to follow the Rubrics perfectly and double check!! There are group projects and the time between the due dates did not feel sufficient. Be ready, show up, pay attention.
This class isn't hard, unless you pay attention. There will be weekly discussions and you will HAVE to read the reading, if not it will be notice. Every Wednesday there will be in class quizzes that you have to be there for. Overall, great class and professor, would take again.
He does really good job at going over and teaching the material from each chapter and loves answering questions. I liked the discusions but some of the questions were hard to relate back to the article and some of the time the discussions would go in a different direction.
Overall, the professor was really nice, and his class wasn't that hard I would just say to pay attention in his class. If you need help understanding any of this work, he is willing to help you if you need it.
Don't start the semester weak, start strong and finish even stronger. Expect to do smart books 1 - 2 times per week with an average about 70 concepts per quiz, the professor might say the smart books will have less concepts over time but thats CAP cause I have been taking them till the very last. every fridays there are discussions, i dont like it.
He made it easy to understand the material and gave you not too much work to where it's overwhelming. Be prepared for those Friday discussions weeks because they can affect your grade if you don't constantly show up to them. He will make this class as easy as possible without spoon feeding you the good grade, you have to put the work in for it!
The class if fairly easy other than the problems that occur with working in group projects.
he makes sure you have our class assignment is related to business and we gain important skills. If you are not a person that like to speak in public, just a heads up we do live disscussion. However I personally feel you can benefit from it because he teaches how to open up and have a voice. overall the class is not that bad if you show up
2nd class I have taken with and they are my absolute favorite professor. I feel like I actually enjoy the content because the work is more hands on and if you just show up and listen you will easily pass. I love the discussions too. It really is more of getting you ready for the real world and I am ADHD and dyslexic to the max and I did well.
This was an overall good class. I would give this class a higher rating if 1. his dates weren't constantly incorrect in canvas and 2. presentations for the group project weren't so traumatic and grilling. Highly suggest finding and choosing a team sooner than later because you need a strong group to survie the presentation portion.
Definitely a lecture heavy class, but does a good job of explaining content. Participation is definitely encourage and okay during lectures. You get out of this class what you put into it. With that being said, it was not extremely difficult. He is very open with his students and approachable.
The professor seemed engaged in the classwork and making sure the students participated. I really appreciated the way he set up the exams to ensure academic integrity with the proctored writing assignments. I thought that was a really great idea to help reduce the use of AI!
Instructions for group project were often unclear, and expected students to have knowledge beyond class level. Exam and project due dates were often changed with little to no notice, and Canvas page often was inaccurate or missing information. Professor is often difficult to contact, expect a two day delay in response.
Writing involved for every exam along with a discussion and smart book assignments make up the entirety of this course. Not hard but does take some effort.
A lot of things in this class are pretty easy, just make sure you're in class for the in-person assignments. As for the group project, you will be graded hard. The group I had was good and we worked together well, and even though we thought we included everything in the rubric, we still got 20-30 points off most of the time.
This class was really awesome! I had a great time in it. My grade is mostly based on the weekly discussions and group projects, but it was super engaging overall.
Great assignments. Easy composition of education. Helped me understand the material in a great way!
Easy to understand composition of information. Assignment load was not too heavy and was also enjoyable. Overall great experience in the class.
The Smart book assignment is LONG. I sometimes spend 3 hours just to do it since English is not my first language. If you hate writing essay, don't take this one.
Overall good class but if your not comfortable talking, this is not for you
Over all the class wasn't that hard but i will say if you attended class it makes the work a-lot easier.
the project was probably the hardest and scary
Very fun class! Will probably face difficulties during the simulation, but overall very fun!
Most of the grade is based on group discussions and group projects. The class is designed to make you learn and isn't just lectures.
He was interesting to listen to while lecturing, but the group projects are a lot of work and can be very stressful.
Semester starts off incredibly busy. Multiple hour+ long assignments every single week, followed by a lecture on the same material every Monday. Each week follows the same structure until mid-November, when presentations begin. Monday is a recap of the reading, Wednesday is another lecture with a quiz, and Friday is a full-class discussion.
instructions for group project were confusing. He was clear about what assignments would matter a lot for grades. hard to get a hold of. lectures were good.
This is the third class I've taken with Dr. Reichert. His classes are very structured. Lectures are on Mondays, followed by lectures and quizzes on Wednesdays, and class discussions on Fridays. Very simple. There are several papers and a presentation, all of which are group assignments. I would highly recommend anyone to take his classes.
He's a good teacher but the connect assignments can take really long to complete and if you don't like speaking infront of people good luck becuase theres a discussion every friday worth 100 points.
Gives example while lecturing and interacts with class instead of droning on like many other professors would. Responds promptly when emailed, and is receptive to feedback. Transparently gives more weight to certain assignments, makes this clear at the start of the semester and ensures it is understood. It's hard to mess up in this class.
Reichert is straight to the point and he gives plenty of warnings, feedback, and tips throughout the semester so you can succeed. Group project was VERY tedious, but it was a learning experience. Be prepared to speak and learn to put yourself out there. I was timid at first, but you truly learn to speak up by the end of the course. Attend classes!
Be prepared, and respect the deadline
This class was great! He provides good in-class lectures and applies real-life scenarios to help provide perspective. There is weekly homework, but it is just to prepare you for what you learn and does not take too long. Weekly discussions that you must prepare for, but not test-heavy at all!
2nd class I have learned soo much! This change my mind on what I want to do for a degree I love it so much.
Professor Reichert is a great professor. Does a good job at explaining each topic during class. Be ready to do discussions every Friday and take pop quizzes on Wednesday
The best professor to take if you want to finance better.
There's a large group project that lasts most of the class. Group discussions every Friday, where you are expected to speak and ask questions once. The professor is quite nice and understanding, and the lowest grades drop near the end of the semester. There are two major exams; however, if you miss the first one, the second is worth double.
Great lecturer and really practical. Throughout this course you will learn the finance that actually relates to financial situations you will go through in your real everyday life. It's also important to know that you will have to prepare for discussions but they aren't that bad.
He was really good
The professor was responsive and gave useful feedback, which helped me stay engaged throughout the semester. While the course was flexible and well-paced, adding more real-world case studies could make the material even more practical and relatable for future students.
Consistent class weeks. Lots of homework, slows down near the end of the semester.
Dr.Peyton is a great teacher and will give very detailed feedback. In management you will have a group project and it's very preparing for management matters. If you're taking this class for an easy A this isn't the one as you have to show up to complete attendance quizzes and a weekly discussion. Overall, very straight forward and informative.
Great lectures but also very good at getting students involved with in-class quizzes every Tuesday, and discussions every Thursday. Grades on good time and great responsiveness to emails.
I liked how he designed his course because it made us understand everything clearly. He was funny, polite and fun. His was clear with his instructions and kept his words till very end. His is professional and teaches all the courses with examples.
Very personable and humorous. Class-led Friday discussions over key points learned over the week solidify understanding of the material. The evolving group projects are well designed and really engage your research and writing skills to get the best marks. Overall, he is a very knowledgeable and effective teacher. Highly recommend.
The professor demonstrates strong professional abilities, her class was excellent; her instructions were always clear, and her feedback was always useful.
Dr. Reichert is very knowledgeable and connects material to real-life scenarios. Tues are light lectures with short quizzes; Thurs are student-led discussions—participate and come prepared. The group project is major, so communicate well. He's communicative, supportive, and I'd take him again.
I love Dr. Reichert this was my second class with him. You have two assignments each week, three total tests, a discussion each week and a big group project. Most things drop and the class is very easy if you stay on top. Reichert wants you to succeed and if you put in the minimum effort you'll get an a. However it is really helpful if youextrovert
All classes have in-person discussions every week. Pretty easy overall, just know your stuff. Very effective professor and keeps you engaged. Honestly, it's a heavy load at times for a business class.
Always nice and straight. When he says something about assignments, it's the truth. Very honest and doesn't lie about his class or how he teaches
Definitely goes over material well, definitely take notes. Definitely elaborates on topics if you are confused.
The professor is nice and understanding. However, he does not answer emails until after a few days. The syllabus is not accurate, and the dates have changed. So, you need to be responsible and check every week to know what you have to do.
Discussions are the most valuable to your grade. But don't forge to do the ABA, and smartbooks! Those assignments add up over time ALOT. This class doesn't teach you how to enhance business decision making skills as an owner or high level exec. Instead, as the name suggests, it teaches you how to manage people based on theory and principle.
Had PowerPoints on Tuesday and explained a lot
The only complaint I have about the professor is how long it takes him to reply to emails.
Loved this course! He gives great lectures and is very interactive with his students. He uses real world examples throughout. There isn't much homework, one assignment a week unless there's a group project. One thing that stood out was our class discussion days, it was a great practice for public speaking and building confidence.
Very good teacher, learned a lot, and too difficult.
Amazing Professor!
Awesome class!
This professor tries to relate to his students by making sarcastic humor and unclear punchlines the basis of his lectures. He clearly knows a lot on the subject and is very willing to teach but may come across as harsh or unkind through sarcasm. Is a very strict grader and will make sure you have his rubric down to the T. GO TO CLASS.
I like professor Reichert because everything was simple in the class and there was easy directions to follow. One thing I also really enjoyed was how flexible the schedule which worked in my favor. In my class all assignments were do on the weekend. I would definitely take another class with Professor Reichert.
Engaging lectures and makes learning interesting.
He's a little slow with emails and grading, and too fast w/ lecture slides. He makes sure that the class isn't too boring via guest speakers/field trips. Be sure you catch grading mistakes (and they do happen) soon, as he is unforgiving if you wait too long. Also, he might show up late, or cancel class last-minute. Funny, though.
Generally kind of rude and rushes through notes during class; meaning that they're completely pointless to look through during the class itself. Usually late every day and completely unapologetic.
Overall fine, just lots of McGraw-Hill questions. Instead of wanting to really engage with the material, it was just so much that it made you want to get it done.
