He is a great professor. His tests are not hard if you pay attention to the lectures which you will because he really makes it interesting. You will learn alot in his class. If history is not your favorite subject take him. Passed with an A.

I always dreaded taking history until I took his class. He really made it fun and interesting. He has a way of teaching that makes you want to come to class. As long as you pay attention you will do great on the test. I highly recommend him for a teacher. I liked him soo much that I am taking him for Histroy 1302. We need more teachers like him.

I was very suprised how funny he is and i take a 3 hour evening class so as long as I am entertained It's fun. Tests are easy, research paper is VERY easy. I would only personally reccomend to not miss a test because you get a take home test with 10 NOT VERY EASY essay questions.take the class and listen to everything, you will laugh the whole time

Mr. Martin is probably one of the best History professor that i have ever taken. His class is very interesting and his stories are halarious. I would recommend studing the notes he gives. It is very helpful. I made a 100 on his finals just by studing his notes.

He provides an objective but frank view of historical events. The majority of test questions were from the notes with a few from the book. I found the lectures interesting and enjoyable. Extremely generous in his grading practices.

He is pretty easy. I study the day before the exams and I always get a B+. The textbook is NOT needed, so don't even bother. He gives you a complete packet of notes ahead of time, which all of the test is from. His lectures are okay, I usually fall asleep. But if you really listen, the lecture is actually very interesting and insightful.

His class is very good. He knows what he is teaching very well. He makes history come alive... (this is coming from someone who before this class wasn't even aware of what World War 2 was..) Not only would I recommend him, I would only take him for history. He will make the class worth taking.

He tells the "story" of History. You have to print out the lecture notes but you do get them. Test has some book ??'s. He gives some test answers some times. He takes attendance roll but it does not help your grade. Do not deviate from the 2page paper, he counts off 20pts or more. You do have to study but he is a very facinating story teller.

Wonderful instructor who makes History come alive! This professor was by far one of my favorite professors this year. I failed the first exam in his class due to my lack to study and he talked to me after class, he's very helpful, tells interesting stories and doesn't make class boring. Read the outline he tells you to print out and you'll do well in his class.

This teacher is heplful but you must study. He gives you reviews before the test and it's the same questions and answers on the test. You have one research paper to so. DO IT! It help me pass the class cause my test grades were low C's and D's. Made an A on the paper and passed the class with a C. His class isn't boring and he doesn't curve.

Great teacher..give you the notes for the whole semester. Give you ten questions with the answer to the test. Must read the book. Just the notes along with a review will give you an C. Before taking this class I was not at all interested in history, infact I had droped history class before( with another teacher) but this time I am making not only passing but I am getting good grades. Funny; tells lots of stories and adds on to the information given to you. Four tests, one paper, and he gives you the notes. His reviews are samples of the test questions and for one test he gave us all of the textbook questions. The questions have the answers so you just need to study those, skim the book, and review the notes!

My favorite college professor I have ever taken. He is hilarious and covers the information very well. He gives a research project and is VERY flexible on what sort of project you wish to do. Took him for USHIST 1. Funny, lots of extra credit. The class is test heavy, but you won't need the book, everything is in the packet he gives you at the beginning. Got out early almost everyday so keep that in mind when choosing your time. He's pretty straight forward with what he wants, there was only 1 individual project and it was very easy.

His Lectures wont make you sleep. Though, I didn't get the grade for which I studied but he wasn't a bad choice. To score good, just remember facts from the text and give attention to videos he show in class. My advice would be to take classes like history online(to achieve an A).

I had Professor Martin for a 3 week mini semester for US HISTORY 2. Monday through Friday 8am to 11am. Amazing class, each day was amazing ALL the notes are posted on his black board page. I highly recommend him for a mini semester. Possibly the best History Professor in San Jac south. I would take his class again.

Amazing professor I highly recommend him for a mini semester in either us hist 1301 or 1302. He is a very kind, and intelligent professor. We need more professors like him.

Prof. Martin presents all of the information you'll need in this course at the very beginning of the semester. NO need to take notes. Pay attention you'll pass

Head his class for Winter break only had 3 assignments first one was syllabus, second was mid term third was either a regular final or a couple of questions about a movie. Amazing professor, definitely take him for History 1 or 2.

Absolutely one of my favorites. The only way to fail is to not pay attention or do the work. There are only 4 discussion questions, midterm, and final. He's very straight to the point and typically ends the lecture early every day. Must take notes! Definitely take him if you can.

I took Professor Martin History 1301 class online. My class was completely online due to Covid, and I am telling you he did not disappoint me. DO NOT Buy a Textbook for this class as Professor M provides a packet that includes everything. Just read those notes from the packet and you will ace the test. You will have 4 DB, 1 midterm, 1 final exam.

My first time taking with prof Martin. He provides the packet of notes on Blackboard, which most of the exam questions come from. Some questions come from the txtbk but if you pay attention to what he lectures in class you don't need the book. We watched 3 movies which had bonus questions on the tests. The grades are the 2 exams and a 2 pg paper.

We had to watch 3 movies at home which had bonus questions on the tests, plus a simple 500 word research paper, and the midterm and final were all multiple choice.

Mr. Martin forever changed my life. I took 2 classes with Mr. Martin and he mentored me for over a year to help me pursue history as both my college major and career. I feel that most people who didn't like him didn't REALLY know him. I spent hours every week just chatting with him about life and it's obstacles. I REALLY knew him, and I love him.

Dr. Martin was such a fun professor. I currently am taking his class. However, bc of his passing we have a new professor. Dr. Martin was so funny and had great lectures. He will be greatly missed.

RIP To one of the best professors at San Jac. One of the sweetest professor out there, so sad he is no longer with us. Glad I got to know him.
