He explains good and makes the test easy!!

He explains the subject sufficiently. Anything you don't understand can easily be made clear by referencing the book. He provides EXCELLENT study guides for the tests. I'd recommend him.

I LOVE this teacher. Great pace of teaching. He teaches many different ways of solving a certain type of problem. He shows shortcuts. He believes in a calculator. Study the reviews and so most of the homework, you'll make an A. Don't study/hmwk?...lol well I know that one too, thank god he drops the lowest test grade lol (It was the 1st one).

He was wonderful! Do NOT be afraid to ask questions; he loves them! No homework plus extra credit that helps you for the final is so easy! Even though attendance is not mandatory, it is best if you go everyday to really understand!

he is a great math teacher. he moves along quickly even in his remedial classes. he makes sure everyone knows what's going on but don't miss his class....you'll have to play catch up

this class i failed 2 out of the 3 test not including the final with F's & i passed the other with an B....the final i have no idea what i made && never did the lab and to my surprise i passed his class with a C...man god is good cause i have no idea how i did it..he's really nice..&& just task questions & you'll understand.take him twn & cntry

He is a professor but he lacks a motivation. I had an A but i had a hard time keeping up with him. IF U LOVE MATHS TAKE HIM, IF NOT DONT.

Very good professor. If you attend class and do the homework you should have no complaints. He will work any problem that you request and goes over the test reviews thoroughly if he thinks anyone is interested.

Unruh is a good professor. He's really helpful and answers all questions. There are no quizes and homework is not graded. All tests free response except the final. He gives reviews exactly like the test and goes over the review the day before, What more could you ask for? Trig and Cal arent easy subjects so studying is required. I recieved an A

He is very helpful instructor. He tries to teach as much as he can and show the new technology in our class. He taght us how to use Maple14 . that was fantastic. he answer to any question with solving them for us. he is the wonderful teacher.

He helps you with any problems on homework and walks you through them. Sometimes he may teach a material one way and one way only and may be confusing for some students but overall its a really easy class. The watch it videos on webassign will teach you the whole course basically as well.

Professor Unruh is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He is at class on time and takes the time to actually have a "lesson plan" for the day and not just simply use the examples out of the book. He is not an easy A and I had to study a lot. He helps solve problems from the review in front of the whole class, and individually after class as well. He gives the class personal advice to problem solving and understanding the textbook. Very knowledgeable. His way of speaking is plain and dry, but good-natured. He doesn't call out people who's cell phone went off or come to class late.

If you are strong in math, you will be fine. He is willing to go over any question that a student asks and is always helpful. Do all the homework on time and a B or higher is easy.

The first and the best Math proff i have ever taken at Hcc. He tries to be funny sometimes but he's not. Great reviews before tests. Multiple choices. Easy A. Don't know if it's because i'm asian or not that i like him very much. Recommend if you actually like math. He's willing to answer any kind of questions.

Very good professor. He may be too good. Very clear in his lectures but way too fast to grasp an idea of the concepts being taught. You can ask him to go over the problem but it's like he only knows one speed, he knows his stuff very well. Grading is straight forward. If you want to do well strongly recommend to do all homework and then some.

I took him for the first summer session, he's pretty easy, let's you use calculators, gives extra credit on test, and all homework is due at the end of the semester. His review is just like the test, just different numbers and he reviews the test the day before testing day.

If you are looking for a good calculus professor, he is as easy as it gets in calculus. Review homework problems and test reviews and you will get an easy A. His tests are very similar to review. Webassign is easy. I took him for two math courses and he is awesome. You know the deal, if you are lazy then don't bother.

Great Professor! He knows his stuff very well, (homework 25%)(3/4 tests + final 75%)(Quizzes are extra credit). Fast enough so we wont get bored, tests are much easier than reviews. If you know how to do 80% of the review you'll get an A. Just do the homework online and the A is guaranteed. He will repeat if you did not understand.

I think professor Unruh is one of the best math professors in HCC. He teaches in the same way that book does but when you asks him questions he tries to explain it in different ways until you understand. He will stay after class to help. However, his tests are hard, which makes sense because he is really good a really good professor.

he definitely knows his stuff, but goes by a bit too fast, wants you to know everything before hand. nonetheless, amazing teacher and gives good feedback. you literally have to work hard and do the reviews. THE HOMEWORK IS GIGANTIC, about 100 online qeustions on every chapter homework.

Professor Unruh is an amazing professor! If you are a mathematics, engineer, or anything STEM related major definitely take him. Or if you really just want to learn mathematics take him. I thought he was an easy teacher who went into depth, but I am a math major. If you are not a math major and just need to get it out of the way do not take him.

Caring Professor and goes over his reviews and your ?'s in class. Write down everything he writes on the board. Very accommodating teacher I severely burned my arm and he let me take the makeup test once I was ready for it. Best to learn trig before taking this class. I didnt and needed tutors. He really understands about Calculus, and he will show you two different way to solve the problem. Homework is due at the end of the semester. You should follow the homework carefully and the review, and you can get A in the test. The best review for the final is 4 tests that you take. He will drop the lowest test (not final).

He is not the best professor in math. However, in Cal 2, he is the best. He is a tough grader, you just have to show your work carefully.

He is really great at Cal 2. You will do well on your test if you review carefully the homework and test review. He drops the lowest test.

A good teacher I would totally recommend if you want to actually learn. He gives four tests but he will take out the one with the lowest grade out grade book. He cares about everyone's success and will make sure he can help you if you don't understand something. 10/10 I would recommend.

Professor Unruh is a solid professor if you actually want to learn calculus, I took Cal 2 with him and he explains the subject clearly and will answer any questions you have. 4 tests, 1 of the lowest gets dropped from your grade and a final. He will also go over homework problems with you. I recommend him if you're serious about learning calculus.

I took him during the spring semester online and had to join cisco webex meetings. He says "Happy day" a lot lol! Didn't need to speak or turn on my camera. You can ask him for help on any problem you're stuck on. You watch lecture videos and do some homework. Reviews are just like the tests. Replies to emails as soon as he can.

Professor Unruh reviews the material before each test. Also, he does the problems from the HW to give you an idea about how the app expects you to answer. He is so serene and replies to your inquiries. The course is manageable and requires you to complete at your own pace a certain amount of homework before a deadline.

For Calc 2 he is literally the best teacher you can ask for. Gives good explanations and will go through problems that you are stuck on. 4 tests. Drops lowest test. Online homework on every chapter. He gives partial credit on tests and grades fair. All negative reviews for him on Calc 2 are bogus. Take him if you want to learn.

Take this professor, all you do is buy the book and actually use it to follow along with him, you just use the book dont even need notes and do the online work with him that day. If you keep up with all the work its so easy the homework prepares you for the test. If you fail thats on you he gives everything you need to succeed hes awesome.

He's a funny and kind teacher. His lectures are useful, with great explanations. Hw for each section (but it's easy), 5 exams, allow to use a calculator/notes. This class is not for those who don't want to study and learn something. It was an easy A for me.

*MATH1332* He is a great professor and goes through the online homework during class. There were 4 exams, all with reviews that he goes over. My only regret was not studying the reviews on my own time. If I did I would have gotten a much better grade. I managed to barely pass, but that's my fault since I'm horrible at math.

4 test he drops the lowest one but these test can be difficult if you don't review properly AND it's 50% of your grade. Lots of homework HIGHLY recommend doing it, it doesn't boost your grade but goodfor review. If you want a professor that just shows the equation and some examples then this is your man. If not I recommend looking some where else.

4 exams + final but lowest exam gets dropped. Homeworks in pearson, tests also in pearson LDB. He's the sweetest old man, he's so pure, and helpful during online lectures.

He is the sweetest professor. I would definitely take him again. My class was in person, but he's not strict about assistance, something that's very helpful if you have a demanding job.

Mr. Unruh is good in my book, I took him for MATH 0324 math lab & he would do the homework in class with us. He's a caring & understanding professor. You can tell he's passionate about math which makes him patient with you if math isn't your thing. I'd definitely recommend him.

This professor was very helpful and his lectures where very helpful he would alway help with other math classes if you asked he is super nice and his test are super easy

Great and helpful professor, I took him as an add on to another Math credit course (Math lab 0324 is the course he taught me). If you don't get the homework/classwork he will work it out with you, don't be discouraged he will make time to help you understand. Enjoyed his teaching style and exams.
