Awesome Teacher. Doesn't use the typical powerpoint lecture. Makes the lecture interesting but you do need to go to class.

Great teacher. Makes a boring subject interesting. Likes to get the class involved instead of lecturing you to death. Be sure to go to class-he'll test on stuff that isn't in the book, but he talked about. Do the homework, you'll find the same problems on the test. Overall, an effective teacher and I would suggest anyone to take him.

Used real life examples to help in understanding the material. He was witty and kept the class interesting. During class time he thoroughly covered homework and got the class involved. LOTS of quizzes to help with overall class GPA. EXCELLENT instructor! If you REALLY want to understand Accounting, look for this instructor.

Great Teacher. Best class and teacher I have had throughout college. Got class involved and you could tell he really enjoyed teaching. Go to class and do the homework and you will do well. There are lots of quizzes but they cover the basic stuff just to make you actually be prepared and come to class.

Great teaching skills! Mr. Babin combined the real world accounting skills with texbook procedures. It was a very interesting and enjoyable class!

I took this class online and this was his first online class. It took him awhile to get the swing of things, but he was very helpful. As long as you do the work, you should be fine.

Professor Babin will be the best professor you will ever have! He is hilarious, makes the concepts understandable and cares for each student. Show up to class, listen and do you homework and you will have a fun and enjoyable learning experience. He made me believe accounting can be fun believe it or not!!! Take his class.

Professor Babin was the entire reason that I changed my major to accounting. He is an incredibly helpful and amazing teacher who keeps your attention the entire class and uses plenty of personal stories to either get his point across or just keep you interested throughout the class. I literally cannot recommend Professor Babin enough. Take him!!

Loved this class. Accidentally took the Honors section but stayed in it because of how helpful and encouraging he was. Really cares about his students and tries to keep things interesting. As long as you come to class and try to engage with the material, you will be fine! My favorite class of the semester!

This guy is the absolute best professor I've ever had without a doubt. He loves his subject, he is funny as hell, he cares about your grades more than you do. You have a decent amount of easy homework, attendance is done through GUDS aka easy classwork, exams will need to be studied for- one is dropped. I could not recommend him any more highly!!!!

I got my Bachelor, Master, and MBA here at UoM and through out these years, i had never rate a professor but i rate Professor Babin. He is an AWESOME professor and is worth every minutes in his class.

Mr. Babin is the sole reason I changed my major to accounting. You get points for homework, quizzes, attendance, and tests! Get all the points you can so you don't have to do so well on the final. Lots of online work, so it's pretty simple to get an A if you put in a little bit of effort.

I'm not going to even spend a bunch of time explaining how AMAZING professor Babin so I'll just tell you to take him. He actually cares about his students and gives every opportunity to really learn the material. I changed my major to accounting because of him and I regret nothing. I wish he could teach every accounting class I had to take.

I can't explain enough how great this teacher is. I took his honors section and finished with an A. Very managable if you come to class and don't get behind on the online homework and quizzes. Study for the exams, he gives you mock exams to help prepare. If you don't do well in this class it really is your own fault.

Technically attendance is not mandatory, but there were 2 point daily grades. He is funny and answers any questions asked. He also responds to emails quickly and grades quickly.

He is by far my favorite professor I've had. He keeps the class engaged while cracking jokes between. Also, he is very knowledgable about ethics but helps the class see multiple sides of a situation. I wish I could take him for other classes.

Take him! He's so nice and genuinely cares whether you're doing well. It takes a little effort, especially if you don't grasp accounting well (like me). He's always in a great mood. Just take him any chance you get.

I took Mr. Babin's course online. He was very fair and kind. The class itself is a LOT of work (fundamentals of Accounting), but he makes himself accessible. I emailed him once in late evening, expecting a response the next day. He emailed back within the hour to help, and even followed up to ensure I was understanding.

Professor Babin is one of the BEST professors in the accounting department. I took him for Acct 2010 and 2020! He is always trying to engage students during his lecture also he is always there to help you! Go see him during his office hours if you need help HE ACTUALLY HELPS YOU UNDERSTAND RATHER THAN OTHER TEACHERS JUST TELLING YOU TO STUDY HARDER

One of the best accounting professors. He offers tutoring and will just his schedule to meet with you when you need it. I had to study for tests, but paying attention helps a lot.

i love professor Babin, his hat jokes are the best. tests are tough. i barely passed, but he is very helpful in class and his office. future students get ready for tons of homework

Babin is one of the best professors to take. Just read and you'll be fine. He expects students to purchase the loose-leaf book and bring to class to ensure success. It's a lot of information to retain, but Babin helps as much as he can.

The project, practice, quiz, and bonus assignments were enough to keep an overall B average despite not doing stellar on the exams. He was responsive to emails, and threw students several bones at the end to get them through. You will work for your grade, but he gives plenty of rope to pull yourself up if you need it. Overall positive experience.

He really cares about students. Ask a question and he will do everything he can to answer it. As an intro class, many students take it as a requirement and he understands that. You do have to complete many assignments in the honors class but it makes the exams very easy.

This is my 2nd class that I have taken with Professor Babin and he is probably my favorite professor. I had him for Acct 2010 and now for Acct 3510. This class is tough, but he really wants his students to succeed. He provides you with the tools you need to succeed in this class, you just have to put in the work. Super funny also!

Great teacher. Makes jokes to make everyone laugh. He cares about you passing and you have to read the book. Highly recommend to attend class. Tests/exams are hard but he gives plenty time to take practice exam before test date. Lots of HW every week for each chapter.

Prof. Babin was a very good professor for ACCT 2010. I highly recommend him if you want to complete the class and feel like you understand the basics of accounting as a surface level. Did an incredible job of teaching the basics and fundamentals of accounting. There was roughly an hour to two hours of homework per night, but paid off.

I enjoyed Dr. Babin's class! Yes, there was A LOT of work, but as an accounting class thats to be expected. Dr. Babin responded to emails within a day or two and was very caring. He wants you to succeed and is very understanding. I will definitely take any of his classes that I can.

Great professor! If you are taking accounting you need to take professor Babin. Good lectures that explain the topics. Lots of homework though so it will take some time out of your week.

I got a C in the class, but really my fault for not showing up half the time. If you want a good grade, this is the professor to take. You just have to put in the work and he's going to do his part too. He's probably the best accounting professor at the university.

I loved Professor Babin's class. He kept me very engaged. There is a lot of work in this class but completing the work is essential to passing the class and understanding the content. yes accounting is a lot of work. but the lots of work gets you to actually learn about accounting. professor babin is such a great professor. he cares about his students. he gives lots of extra credit opportunities and helps you if you're struggling. if you wanna pass this class then read every chapter of the book and do the work!

This class is not a cake walk, but I took him for both ACCT2010 and ACCT2020 and he has been absolutely amazing to me. If you take diligently take notes and make an attempt to understand the concepts (going to his office hours if you're struggling with something) and put in the effort by doing homework, you will do fine in this class.

Professor Babin's class has a very heavy work load. Exams semi-monthly, HW, SB (2 per chapter), tax forms and quizzes (3 attempts required). Prepare to read and study and hone in on your time management skills. To pass this class, you HAVE to put in the work. He offers extra points on regular assignments. Very caring and kind instructor.

Professor Babin was great to study under. There is a lot of assignments and all exams are done on Proctorio with no open book. The final exam you are able use a 8.5 x 11 sheet with notes from and back. The weekly discussion posts are easy and help you learn more about the finances of other companies. Do not get behind on your assignments.

A lot of assignments. Most I have ever had in a course. Assignments were easy enough. Tests use Proctorio software. Do not get behind on assignments or you will never catch up. Overall ok course.

Highly recommend as a teacher. Lots of assignments but will actually teach the subject very well and can actually make you laugh while doing so. Exams were not as difficult as expected but still definitely study as he provides lots of practice assignments. Hope to take him again in the future!

prof babin is the best he does give out lots of work but thats just how the course is set up hes lecture are fun and informative ive learned alot in his class and i normal hate lectures (youll have a good time in his class as long as you put in some effort!!) i wish he teach all the acct classes

Professor Babin is my favorite professor. There is no other person that has taken such a serious interest in my education. If you have to take any class, take Babin. The courses he teaches are intentionally difficult. He is not a tough grader, but he teaches tough classes. Don't take his tax class if your schedule is completely loaded. It's hard.

Professor Babin is an amazing professor, these exams are TEXTBOOK HEAVY SO JUST READ AND TAKE NOTES. If you aren't an accounting major and don't care abt accounting, then this class will be hard but u have to learn if u want a good grade. Show up to class, he remembers you. Prof. Babin is very knowledgeable in the accounting field. His lectures are pretty informative and he teaches with a down to earth attitude. However, this class is VERY reliant on paying attention and there are homework assignments due almost everyday. The exams usually weigh a lot, but if you can manage, then it can be a fun class.

Professor has an amazing personality and is a great teacher but be ready to actually work, this is not an easy A class for slackers!

Accounting is not an easy class but this professor made me look forward to going! He is loving, a light to everyone around him, cares so much for you to pass but will not do the work for you and explains things greatly. You will pass this class if you do your work. I wish he taught every subject, definitely a one of a kind professor!!!

He does give a bit of homework, but that's because he cares. he wants us to practice and genuinely better understand accounting. He is who made me want to switch from finance to accounting, actually made it so fun, and encouraged me a lot. I actually enjoyed this class and it was fun for me after I got the hang of it. Def wants his students to pass

LOTS OF HOMEWORK, and the homework only counts for a small percentage of your grade. The exams are the most important thing, and if you're taking this course online, they are proctored. This professor is responsive, and I probably would take him again.

Genuinely loves his students.

One of the most homework heavy classes ive ever had, around 7 assignments a week. each one takes around 15-30 minutes. Exams are worth most of the points, if you fail one badly youll be making it up for the whole semester. Professor is very helpful and kind, while theres lots of work and studying, he does an amazing job at preparing you for it all.

yes the class has a lot of homework and readings, but its worth it. he matches the effort that you put in and provides many opportunities for extra credit and help along the way. if you show that you care and put in the work, he is the best resource and teacher you can ask for this course.

Oh, where do I even begin? He is the greatest professor I have ever had! Super fun and engaging lectures with lots of opportunities to practice the concepts and boost your grade. Professor Babin is my favorite professor at UofM! He cares so much about his students even though the subject he teaches is difficult. He offers alot of extra credit and really brings light to a difficult course. Also, this is known to be a hard subject regardless of the professor. If you study and pay attention to the lectures you will do great!:)
