Dr. Chase was by far one of the greatest professors ever! Even when I transferred to Richard Stockton, he wished me the best of luck, and congratulated me.

Dr. Chase is the best professor @ CCM. I looked forward to going to his class. Class is very easy yet extremely interesting due to in depth class discussions. Dr. Chase is a wonderful and caring person and wrote me a letter of recomendation which was extraordinary. He will teach you a lot about life

Professor Chase is probably the coolest guy at CCM. He definately knows his stuff. makes broing stuff so much fun. i looked forward to that class. Take him if you want a great professor

Professor Chase was very helpful. I took this class online and it IS a lot of reading and posting, but he makes the questions interesting and tries to keep the discussion moving. He was willing to help out and answer any questions. I would definitely say he is one of the better professors at CCM.

He's a cool teacher. You read a lot of short stories but when you discuss them ou have fun. I learned a lot from his class. You don't take a midterm just a final and you do papers like every 2 to 3 weeks but they're easy. He also gives quizzes that help you a lot at the end. take him....he's really cool

He's a good easy teacher, in his class we have an essay due once every 2 weeks or 3 weeks depending on breaks or what not but for essays he picks like cause and effect and from there we can write about whatever we want pretty much. His quizzes are very easy just do the readingthe questions on quizzes are like what is the main charater of the story?

Professor Chase is a very, very nice guy. His class is amazingly easy. You'll have a quiz on the reading that you did for homework, but the questions are simple. Essays are due every 2 weeks, but the topics are fun, and you can write about things that interest you. I definetley suggest anyone going into Comp 1 to take him.

He is a great professor.He opens every class to discussions from the readings from homework. Gives 13 pop quizes throughout the entire semester on the homework readings. Quiz questions are not hard at all. Some of the readings are a bit long. The longest story I have ever read was six pages. If you do the readings, you will do really well on quizes

This professor is the best teacher ive had at CCM. His approach to teaching is not straightforward mindless lecture (which english shouldnt be anyway). Instead he makes you think about the readings and is very helpful with the papers. Once in awhile goes off topic but i think that was just because my class always brought it up. Great sense of humor

He was an incredibly awesome teacher. Very dynamic and kept my interest. Intelligent conversations, easy to pass the course if you do the work.

He is very kind, clear, and fair. There wer a lot of interesting discussions. You working hard and can get A easily.

Great teacher. His wife had their second kid. His book is almost done. Managed to get the whole class interested in Beowulf.

ENG Comp 2 online. He is so helpful and nice. Read the stories and do the posts and spend a few days on your papers and you will do well. He really wants all of his students to do well and will help you in any way you need. Take Him!! He is the best!

Took a course from him at Drew University. He was spread thin with his many teaching requirements at County College of Morris, but he still managed to provide great insight into texts and promote interest and generate a learning environment.

I had him for English classics 2 semesters ago and he STILL remembers me. He's defintely one of my favorite teachers at CCM. Awesome teacher, great class, and he'll still have a conversation with you if you see him again after the semester ends.

BEST TEACHER EVER!! He is the only English teacher I have ever had that taught me something. He makes you learn and is always happy to be in class. I will most likely try to take a literature class with him again. He always cares about his student's grades and wants to help. I only had 3 papers and story quizzes. Let him review all your papers too!

Dr. Chase is the best professor at CCM if you have any questions he will help you. If there are any students that haven't taken comp 1 yet then I highly recommend that you take Dr. Chase but you have to sign up for his class on the first day of class registration because his classes fill up very fast.

Dr. Chase is more than likely the most influential professor I've ever had. I took his class while applying to four-year schools; I was going to settle for going to a school that was easy to get into, but he urged me to reach higher. I took his advice and next semester will be my first at an Ivy League school. Chase helped me all along the way.

Had him for both Comp I and Comp II. He is absolutely an incredible teacher; one of my favorites at CCM. Caring, funny, and definitely a cutie. He assigns easy papers, but he's a tough grader. You're guaranteed an A if you go to class, do the assignments, and take your papers seriously. Plagiarizing is obviously a nono. Wish I could take him again.

Professor Chase is absolutely one of the best English professors at CCM. He knows his subject very well; take him if you want to learn and enjoy English classics. I highly recommend him for everyone who is interested to learn, and not only to pass the class.

Nice guy but didn’t learn much. Assigns a lot of reading and had a reading quiz almost every class. But they are SUPER easy and he drops your 3 lowest scores. Gives 2 in-class essays and a final exam essay. Also a 5-7 page research paper–you can submit multiple drafts and he critiques it. Overall, a lot of reading, but make an effort and get an A.

I gotta a C in this class but loved his class anyway. I just missed a lot of classes. That's all. NC

He's awesome! Only regret not taking him for Comp 1. If you are taking the same class as I did, do read before going in. It helps because he usually ends up quizzing us with five really easy short answer questions on what you've read. I've gotten away with it with spark notes a couple of times. His interactive classes easily makes this class fun!

Prof. Chase is one of the best English professors I've ever had! He's super nice and funny! His class is easy going and very fun with class discussions that are super engaging! One of the best professors I have ever had! Chase is very comical and I actually looked forward to his morning lectures. Quizs are 5 questions each and are super easy if you read. Reading assignments weren't long either. The papers were straight forward, but had to be handwritten which sucked. He mad English very enjoyable, i would take again!!!

TAKE HIM! Hes a great teacher read what he assigns he gives 5 question short answer quizzes every class (But they are so easy) gives great feedback and is an interesting person over all! Would definitely recommend and take again!

He is the best English professor! He is funny, witty and humble. He expects everyone to participate (part of the grading), and gives enough time for students to make essays. Taking him for ENG 112 now because he is very good. If you write essays that are substantial and show critical thinking, you will be fine.

Without a doubt my favorite professor at CCM. I took him for comp 1 and I would definitely take him again. You have to hand write essays in class but this means he is always there to help and you don't have to worry about outside work besides a research paper and readings. Absolutely love him.

This was my second time taking Comp 2 and Professor Chase made it really easy to pass. There were 2 in class essays that he gives you two classes to work on, an oral presentation, and a research paper. He is really easy to talk to and if you need help with your paper he will gladly help and lead you in the right direction.

Great class, very organized, very fun. As long as you read, you'll do fine on the quizzes, they are very easy.

Am absolutely loving Comp 1 with Prof Chase. The focus of his classes is thinking critically, so come with that in mind and with some grammar knowledge, as drilling grammar is not a focus. The thing I appreciate most is his willingness to listen to the ideas and beliefs of everyone in class. Great discussions. Sign up before classes fill up!

Super nice and funny. He's always in a cheery mood so that helps with the atmosphere of the class. The workload is no problem at all because all our essays were in-class besides one and the quizzes are a guarantee 100% if you read the short, short essays. He gained my respect as a man and as a teacher. 10/10.

Professor Chase was one of those professors that once you would get out of class you think of the world in a different perspective. He really cares about his students and his lectures are always on point. As a freshman in college I was vey happy I took him he really inspired me! Professor Chase is awesome! I took two online classes with him, both were well organized, easy to follow, and he was very responsive to emails. I'm not into fiction but I thoroughly enjoyed both classes with him. As long as you do the reading, take the super easy quizzes, and devote time to your papers, you will do well. He is a wonderful teacher!

His online class was very organized and he responds quickly to emails. There is a 7 page paper, but he is always willing to help you through it. Lots of reading, but it's worth it for such a great class. You can tell he's passionate about the material. The quizzes are easy as long as you do the reading he assigns. I highly recommend this class.

If you have to take Comp 1 and 2, you might as well take them with a great professor so sign up for his courses.

English Comp 2 is a terribly boring course, but Prof. Chase manages to get you through it in pretty much the least painful way possible. Fair bit of reading and writing involved, but as long as you actually complete all of the assignments and do a half-decent job, you'll pass. Good professor.

Reading every class but it isnt hard and the reading is fun and interesting. there are three inclass essays but u get two classes for completing n one presentation but it can be on one of the inclass essay also there is a paper which is also pretty easy imo. there are small quizes every class but supereasy!

Professor Chase is a great teacher who cares about his students. Would recommend for Comp II

His class is a great elective to take, but you can't just show up and expect to get an A. Every class you have to have the reading done because he has a quiz as soon as the class starts (if you show up late you get a zero) But he's overall very fair and helpful. He also assigns a 7 page research paper, but he's always willing to help.

He's a great teacher and it very easy to talk to because he allows all students to participate fairly in class.

The best professor I've ever had. Brilliant, beautiful, caring and his classes stimulate such intelligent conversation. Quizzes every day, but if you read, you will get an A on every quiz (I never missed a question). Take Chase for every class possible, and pick his brain, because it is very full.

I took Professor Chase for my first on line English class. He was extremely organized! His grading is extremely fair and he has very specific guidance. He always made himself available to meet with me and guided me. You have to work hard for an A, but he is very helpful. I took him again for my second on line English class.

I was nervous to take comp. 2 online after my experience in comp. 1 with a different professor but Dr. Chase is a real gem! Lots of reading in this class but he didn't deduct from my grade for every little grammatical error, instead he truly grades you on your efforts as a student. If I had to take more English, I would absolutely take him!

Dr. Chase is an amazing professor. On campus, he gives daily quizzes on the readings he assigned. Super easy and he drops the 2 lowest grades. One presentation and 3 in class essay 1 at home essay. He is supering caring and works with each student. Textbook is used in his class. I hope I can take him for Comp II. I definitely recommend Dr. Chase!

Great professor. I had him for Comp2. He gives a quiz at the start of every class so don't be late. They are very easy but they are designed to make sure you do the readings which I personally found interesting and fun. Easy A if you take the time to read. You'll have a major paper on either a poem or story but he guides you through the process.

I had Dr. Chase for English Classics. I got a C in his class, but I blame myself for not turning in a rough draft of my final paper. Seriously, give him a rough draft of your paper! I am shy, so this was hard for me but if youre into class discussions, this is the class for you. He was very understanding and kind, overall. He genuinely cares.

I took Dr. Chase for comp II Spring 2020 and OH MY GOD best professor I've ever had!!!! Awesome feedback, easy grader, and always helps when you're confused. I took it online and I still had to rent a textbook and the class is reading heavy but honestly if you just skim the readings and reply to peers you'll pass. I'm taking him next semester too!!

Chase is amazing! Took him in person for Comp 1 and online for Comp II. He is a great professor who really cares and engages his students. Def would take him again! Comp II you have 3 papers and final as well and discussion posts! He is one of a kind professor! My final was optional! Chase works with each student and wants them to succeed!

I absolutely loved professor chase's class. He is very passionate and truly cares about his students. Discussions are very productive and is an all around great professor. He is not a harsh grader and gives back grades within a reasonable time. Just a fantastic person and educator.

He is clearly so passionate about what he does, so much so that it's refreshing. No one can accuse him on not loving what he does, that's for sure. The only warning for this class is that the readings are VERY long sometimes, and even to someone who likes old literature, some of these stories are real snooze-fests. Nicest professor at CCM.

He doesn't use Blackboard but his syllabus is very easy to follow and thorough. Most of the classes are just talking about the readings. Your grade is made up of a few essays but he's an easy grader. Very nice and gets sad when ppl don't do the readings.

I really liked this class! We had a paragraph response on one of the readings almost every class, but the questions were generally easy. He is a pretty easy grader and we had 3 major essays to write throughout the semester, which he was very willing to give feedback and help us.

Professor Chase was a very good professor. For his online class he would have all of the work for the semester ready to go and there were discussion boards due every Wednesday. I had 3 essays and a final research paper but he was a very easy grader. Offered great feedback on all of the assignments and was very lenient.

Very polite and very funny. He doesn't use blacessay. To grade. He will put grades in at the end up semester in Titans Direct. He will tell you your grade if you ask. You will write everything. Computers won't be needed unless you have accommodations or have an at home essat. He also doesn't give tests.

Lots of of short readings throughout the class. I am a Non-Native English speaker and I didn't have any problems with him or found his class difficult. He is very helpful. You just have to ask for help if you need it.If you study at least 1 hour a day and do all the assignments on time, the class is gonna be super easy.

Professor Chase wasn't so bad. He encourages you to participate and makes sure your involved. The lectures he teaches can be a bit boring but I would say it depends on how you are as a student. (Also why I have a C). Overall good class, pretty easy, just keep up on the reading and you will be fine. Readings are short too.

I loved his Comp II class. There was a lot of homework relating to reading short stories and poems, but our class discussions were really interesting, and he was a really fun professor to have. He definitely cares about his students and wants them to succeed.

Great teacher who is passionate about english and his students! Im not a big reader so i was nervous for this class but all the readings are short stories and poems, no crazy long textbook assignments. He will ask at the end what grade you deserve based on class participation so just make sure you have something to say during each class session

What a great professor!! His class is really easy, and the assignments are simple and manageable. I took this course online, and our only homework was to read a few poems each week, write a 350-word response on Blackboard, and reply to one classmate. We did this for 11 weeks, then we did 2 easy essays and 1 research paper. Highly recommend!!
