One of the best. You will never have a better instructor for Commercial Law. He's also great for Torts. And, on top of that, he's one very nice person!

One of the most entertaining teachers at SNESL. However, his Multi-state questions can be tough to figure out.

He uses very practical examples to get the point across. He is very helpful. He is just a good teacher.

Professor Clearly is straight to the point, and he will give you the tools to succeed in his class. Performance is up to each individual student. There are no head games, which is nice. His humor is unique, but appreciated.

Wait till you take his telephone book of an exam, see if you laughing at his jokes which he puts into all the multiple choice and essay questions. Study hard or you will crash and burn!

Cleary has a unique teaching style that manages at once to maintain the undivided attention of the whole class while effectively explaining very complex material. He is a nice guy too.

Makes class as fun as he can and has a cynical personality. Professor Cleary is the man!

OH yes Professor Yankee's Hater.. well I enjoy his hypos even though me and a bunch of other Yankee's fans are at the heart of them, but I would never become a Boston Soxs fan ewwwww

This stuff is hard to comprehend but he does make it as clear as possible. Exam is passable with a lot of studying!!!!Hard subject but Prof. Cleary keeps it fun and entertaining.

He's Good

For people like me who are shy and serious, Professor Cleary can be a little intimidating at first.But, you can learn so much from him. He is very smart and presents the material with ease and he his very forgiving and willng to explain anything you have difficulty with. Overall, he is awesome.

Prof. Cleary is the MAN!! love his sense of humor, now this time i think you owe me about 45 min. of class-time- oh wait i forgot administrative announcements don't count... thanks for always answering questions and explaining the material thoroughly and please be nice about that midterm project :D

Intellegent, exceptionally witty and humorously sarcastic, Prof. Cleary takes a very dry subject and makes it interesting. He missed his calling as an entertainer, even though he is a fine professor.

I love him to no end. I also love saying that I did well on his UCC exam in the same year the Yankees won the World Series ('96).

He is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He makes the topic come to life by using our classmates as examples. He makes sure that the topic been covered is understood by every students. He is great.

What can I say? As his name suggests, the man is very “clear” He takes the time to make sure everyone knows how to prepare for multistate questions & essays. Love his sense of humor! Plus, he’s calm, cool, collected,& in-control. Go to class prepared & ready to be called on. He won’t cut u down, but he’s the type of prof u’d hate to disappoint.

Between Judge Jacobs and Prof. Cleary it is difficult to choose which one is my favorite professor. Both are very well spoken, and command respect with their knowledge. It was a pleasure to be taught by them. If I had to choose I would have to go with Prof. Cleary because he is a triple eagle and to me that is pretty impressive.

Lord Cleary can only be described as indescribably intelligent when it comes to the voluminous commercial code. His teaching style keeps you interested. Take good notes, he tests you on what he teaches...

Great professor and actually helps you if you need help. make sure you write down every example he gives as they will appear on the test

Other than getting rather embarrassing nicknames ...I actually learned torts and UCC something that is rare in law school.

I wish Prof. Cleary could instruct some of the other faculty as how teaching is done. Along with Prof. Clifford, the BEST instructor at UMASSLaw. Thank you Sir!(Hope I didnt go OFFTRACK)I would have given him a 5.0....but I can't say he is EASY. The material is tricky, but he is a consummate professional.

I took this Professor at Pace University for Tax 311. Great Professor! Although, his quizzes were long but he then allowed us to do take home quizzes mid way through the semester. Really understandable. 10/10 recommend!!

I really enjoyed Professor Cleary. He is an effective teacher and has a great wit. He adds a lot to the law school.

This dude is hilarious. Look, he doesn't make up the rules. He just delivers the content. I want to be PCleary when I grow up.

Clear and to the point, pay attention and you wont have any trouble. The clicker questions really help ensure you're on the right track.

So funny while still making us work hard and actually learn. One of the least challenging classes to keep up with because his slides and notes are so great.

He is a Legacy from SNESL to UMass School of Law. The law students are lucky he is still teaching he is one of the better professors at the school. For UCC he made this dull subject very approachable and easy to process. I would take his class again if I had a chance. Hey Professor Cleary I hope the Sox win in 2021 for you!

He is a great communicator, engaging, has a talent for simplifying complicated concepts, and has a truly hilarious dry humor. A really exceptional law professor who any student would be very lucky to have.
