Absolutely recommend this guy. He's funny and also keeps you on your toes, but in a good way. The class is pretty easy, just do the essays. he even accepts them late. YOu can go to him anytime you need help and he available quite a lot.
his class was one of my favorites. it was easy, mainly opinionated, essays. when there was an in class discussion, he made it interesting. i plan on taking his film literature class in the spring of 2005 just to have another class with him.
Agree with the first two comments--he's very nice, funny, and helpful. He presents interesting topics, and the in-class discussions were always fun. I thought the class was pretty easy, but I really enjoyed it. Overall great teacher.
I'm not very good at English, but he made his class SO fun and informative. If you're a movie buff, this is the class to take!! He knows his stuff
He was one of my favorite teachers at Delta! Very funny and a smart guy.
I had Phil's Film as Literature class, and it was pretty cool. The in class discussions were off the cuff, with cussing and all. I wish I took it during the Spring or Fall because the Summer semester went by way too fast.
You must take his film class, it is awesome!! I took him for English 1A too, and it was still cool (he lets you out early and you don't always have to go to class). Great teacher. Easy too, if you actually write the essays.
Phil is one of the best teachers I ever had. I took his class in 01 and 4 years later I still remember everything from the class. His classes are so dam fun and interesting it didnt matter how sleep deprived or burnt out I was--I attended every class and didnt yawn once. The essays required some work but he was so helpful the process was effortless
Yes, easy class, engaging discussion. Good intro to film analysis- not too hardcore but just getting us to look a little deeper. I ended up getting my degree in Film and I think this was a good intro.

If you can take any class with this man, do so. It will be one of the best experiences in an English class that you will ever have.
Makes class interesting and enjoyable. Assist student in editing the essay assignments. Great class to become more informed about films and writing.
Hutcheon is a very quirky character. Very intelligent, humorous, helpful, and inspirational. He is one of the few positives about Delta.
This class is one of the funnest classes I've had at Delta. I wish there are more guys like him here at Delta.
Dr. Phil is the best teacher I have ever had. He is a very intelligent and helpful instructor here at Delta College.
If you want to learn English and stay awake at the same time, take this class. He is very helpful, thought-provoking and humorous. His teaching style makes the class easier not in content, but in process.
great English instructor
Really neat class. Some what good movies to watch, a lot of them are recent movies. You just have to write 3 essays on the movies. He is willing to help if you aren't a very good writer. I had a tough time with the essays, but I enjoyed the class.
Had him as a professor back in the early 80's. Not a better professor around. Impacted my life long beyond college. You'll be fortunate to be touched by his teachings.
he is a really cool teacher. highly recommend him for any class that he is teaching. he was very helpful, and funny too! more teachers should be like him because life is too short to make college classes harder than what they are.
Really nice person. I really enjoyed the class. It was a good summer class. Just go and watch movies, write 3 essays. Some of the movies were pretty bad..but its an opportunity to see movies I never would have seen before. Extremely helpful when it comes to his students. Wants to see them do well.Always there to give advice. One of the best classes.
His class is easy. We watched films, discussed them, and would write an essay about the films. Go to class and participate and you shouldn't have any problems. He has a good sense of humor and is very easy to talk to. I tell everyone to take his class.
Phil is a great teacher, nice guy and grades fairly. Class is easy. Only 5 or 6 papers and no textbook required. Helpful for those students that need it, I received an easy A with no help. Would recomend him to anyone.
He's a great teacher. If English is your second language you might have a hard time.
Dr. Hutcheon is the best! He's so smart, and he really wants everyone to succeed. He is very interesting as well. The class isn't tough; 6 papers or so. Class won't meet too often; he splits the class in half sometimes, and each half only comes once per week (for presentations, etc). He's very flexible and accomodating. You won't regret taking him!
Love this professor and loved his class! Not only was it an easy A, but he makes the class really interactive. Not all professors do that. Although I didn't like some of the films shown in his class, the others are really good ones. He also puts an effort to help every student the best he can, and wants all his students to learn and HAVE FUN!
The worst movies I ever saw. The kindest man I ever met.
Phil is a phenomenal instructor. He delivers his expectations and requirements clearly and forwardly. Always with a great sense of humor, Phil is very approachable and aims to get students thinking rather than regurgitating the "correct" answer. Excellent, empathetic teacher.
Dr. Hutcheon is one of the most wonderful and helpful professors I've ever had. 3 essays all semester, no book work what-so-ever, lots of free time (no class). He makes himself readily available for students at all levels of proficiency. TAKE HIM. You'll be SO glad you did. :) :) :)
Mr Hutcheon is such an amazing professor. Always there if you need help, very open to all the different opinions, funny yet knows his stuff; he's a film buff for sure! Easy to have a good grade. I recommend this class to everybody!
I loved this class, good movies. Its a must take class, no homework, funny, keeps class interesting. very helpful teacher, makes himself available for your needs. Makes you feel comfortable, Very fun class.
GREAT professor. lectures and movies are very interesting. class discussions are a huge part of the class and is sometimes very entertaining. we only had two essays to write.
I just finished Prof. Hutcheon's English 1A class, and it was my favorite of the semester. Prof. Hutcheon has an excellent sense of humor which made everyone feel comfortable in his class, and he allows his students to have a lot of freedom with their assignments. If you put effort into your work and don't procrastinate, you'll do fine.
He is quite unorthodox in his teaching, but challenges his students to think and write with a critical eye. Encourages lively discussion in class regarding the films and expects the same in the three essays he assigns. I had growing pains in the beginnning, but thanks to his guidance my writing has improved.
Mr. Hutcheon was the greatest teacher that helped me passed the mastery exam! He's really helpful and wants us to pass. Overall I advise you to take his class if you want to go onto eng. 1a.
Excellent teacher! Explains everything clearly, gives more than enough time to complete assignments, gives great feedback on your papers, and helps you plan out your papers through pre-writing exercises and conferences. I haven't received my grade yet, but no matter what it is, I highly recommend taking this professor's English 1A class.
This guy! He's really nice and lets us choose what we want to write about. We do present some papers to the class, but he makes it real easy. He's a great teacher and I recommend anyone to take him. No book!
A skilled teacher. He is charismatic and makes class interesting. There isn't much menial work in this class, which I enjoy. He insisted that the class called him "Phil", but I couldn't do that. This isn't a high school English class, however, so you will have to put some effort into writing quality essays for him.
This teacher is very nice, and his classes are interesting. There are 4 essays to write and a final. He is a VERY hard grader. Not much guidance as far as paper format. He doesn't allow makeup work and no extra credit.
Awsome!! Very helpful! Smart man!
smart guy. knows what hes talking about but isnt cocky about it. i would definitely recommend this class to others
Honestly, he is not just a good teacher, but a great person. The two research papers focus on career goals and romantic relationships. He is not a "textbook" teacher. He is a serious grader when it comes to research papers, but he addresses the mistakes to the class and works on improvement. He gives you points where they are earned.
Very good teacher, I enjoyed going to class. You do little speeches in front of the class, but they're really interesting. 3 basic essays and they're very helpful. There's no pressure, he will help you and notice improvements. Highly recommended !
Hutcheon's English class is convenient; meets once a week for an hour or so. The work load is acceptable, however, he has a very precise way of grading. Any grammar errors (even the improper use of a comma) lowers your grade. He's a fun professor, but a very tough. I received two A's, two C's, and I've won writing awards. Brace yourself.
Definitely the worst teacher I've had at Delta. The last time I checked, Eng 1A is a Written Communications class and not an Oral Communications class. This teacher is a tough grader and will not give you any credit for an assignment if you do not comment on peers' papers. If you do not like giving speeches for English, find another teacher!
I was excited about the class at first then when I got my grade on my first paper. I was upset. We are there to learn, not be told to drop the class. He needs to point out what we need to correct and not be a jerk about it.I totally changed my mind about being excited about the class and he is the WORST teacher I have ever had!!!
If you are a person who loves English, you will love this class. If you are a person who hates English, you will learn how to be a better writer. He is not a fluffy teacher, but he is fair and reasonable, and has a great sense of humor. I would say, don't be late for class, don't slack, and be yourself.
Weekly online and class assignments are helpful prewritings for the 4 essays you have to write. He's a cool person, but a tough grader. Only 1 person in all his classes this semester got an A on the first paper. He spends little time teaching grammar, so I suggest you take his class only if you already feel confident in your writing ability.
i took his hybrid class. great teacher. really cares about helping students and is easy to talk to. he can be a tough grader. class only meets once a week so its very convenient. there are only 5 online essays and 3 hand-in essays so its important to do them all!
I absolutely loved this class. He is an awesome teacher. A very intelligent man. No textbook needed only 1 midterm and final and two essay papers
He is very helpful, and understanding, but a tough grader. He will stick around class if you need extra help. His class only meets once a week so that is good. He is very down to earth. I would recommend. I didn't usr text book much.
I took his film as literature class and we would just watch a movie then have a class discussion about it and theres a few essays throughout the semester. He tries to get everyone to talk and participate in discussions which I was nervous about at first but he made everyone in class feel comfortable around each other. He is funny and down to earth.
He was one of the most interested teachers I ever had. He wants his students to pass. His essay topics are a bit personal, but thats what kept the class so interesting. He takes the time to get to know his students.. dont really need book. Beware he makes you do a lot of oral presentations, i was scared at first but they were really easy. Got an A.
Very intimidating class at first. 4 Papers total. 11 online 500-word papers. Your turned in papers need to be college level to receive good grade. Teacher really knows his english. He will teach you to become a better writer and prepare your for college papers.
Excellent professor. We were only required to attend class on Wednesdays but in the time I got to know him, hands down a great professor. Strict with grading, but knows his English very well. Very friendly, and likes to joke around a lot. Work assigned isn't too bad. Just don't procrastinate.
Took this course as a hybrid class, and pretty much all of the assignments were done through ETUDES. He is set on his due dates, a somewhat strict grader (hard to get an A), and expects every student to work hard. If you plan to slack, don't take; otherwise, he's a jokester and an enjoyable teacher.
Hybrid course, only met once a week in class. Hard grader, topics to personal, seemed like class doing his research for him. Nice man though.
Passed with flying colors. Just do the work and make an effort and it's a great class. Took as a hybrid and loved the combo!
You will watch movies then have a class discussion on the films you watch. Make sure to try and remember character names and participate.
He's a great teacher and a tough grader. The topics are really interesting and personal, but it will make for great writing if you get into it. The book is very very helpful when writing your papers. About 75% of students drop by the end, but it's really worth it if you stick around.
he is an okay guy. not the best teacher tho,if you want to be an eng. major and all that, hes perfect for you,but if not, dont take. he is extremely hard at grading and over half of the students wont pass. its just that, you have to drop or retake another eng class. you think its easy, but trust me, unless you are great at writting, its hard.
Pip is wonderful. Spoilers: Most of the work is watching films in-class and turning in a comment and a question about each one. But because of this, the two papers are worth a huge chunk of your grade, so DO NOT miss school when a paper is due or you will be dropped from the class. Many of the filmsclips are about warpolitics, but are quality.
It is literally impossibke not to pass this class. You show up, watch the movie, and discuss it. You have two papers (hard copies, no turnitin), a midterm, and a final. (NO TEXTBOOK) He's very laid back and willing to discuss sensitive issues related to the films. Great class!
He is a pretty interesting professor. In class we just watched movies and then discussed whether it was interesting or not. He's more into participation than anything. His grading is very confusing, not really clear on what he wants on his essays, just gives you a topic to write about. He is a nice and approachable professor. He showed good movies.
Too many warpolitic films. A few good films shown but overall a boring class. The professor is okay but isn't really clear on what he wants. Grading is also weird. He has his "favorites" that he loves to put in the spotlight every single class which was annoying. P.S. When he asks you to bring a dollar to class, you don't get it back!
We took English 30. Professor kept the class interesting. Overall good teacher!
I loved Phil! He was absolutely hilarious! He offered good feedback and was very encouraging. You will need to participate in class discussion and attend class. Make sure you show up on time to the first class, or he will not let you in.
I was very nervous over the course of the class, as only four things determine your grade: a paper, a midterm, another paper, and a final. (In addition to participation, I believe). While I got an A on the first paper, I failed the midterm. I guess it doesn't count, though, since I got an A in the class. It's a good class though.
Very clear in what is required. Topics for essays are catered to the students use. Wants you to succeed. Will sit down with you one on one to help you out. Even offers to proof read your essays before submission! Great teacher. Definitely impacted my educational outlook.
I took his Eng1A class online. Your grade is based on ten 300-500 word essays and 2 research essays (1500 words). I enjoyed the book we had to read... "Desperation Passes" which was actually written by him. Gives really good feedback on the essays... Especially grammar related issues. I enjoyed his online class!! :)
Very cool guy. We just watched a bunch of movies, some boring ones and some good ones. The quizzes are all about the movies you watch. Wrote two semi-analytical papers. He's very understandable about missing classes if you're sick (I missed 3 meetings). Just let him know and he might let you borrow the movie or give you options.
He has you read his own book and also fails you if you don't do good on the two writing assignments way before the semester ends and before you even take a final.
Professor Hutcheon's class was pretty easy for an English course. He is quick to answer any emails or questions you may have. His book is a good read. The course consists of 12 essays between 300-500 words, a 1,500 word research paper, and 700 word final exam paper. He comments on every paper with great, clear advice. I would definitely take again.
Good professor. He's a very nice guy that's easy to talk to. He is a tough grader when it comes to essays but he offers chances for you to let him to look over your rough draft and give you feedback. And his feedback that he gives is very helpful.
Phil is a great teacher. He is very clear in his expectations and gives good feedback on assignments. There are quite a few papers to write, but most of them are short and easy. The major essays in the class are actually interesting and informative. The career essay helped me get a better focus on my education path in order to get the job I want.
If your interested in the stories and characters in movies this class is great. There are only two papers the whole semester, so the workload is minimal. Just watch movies discuss them in class. Pay attention to characters and story lines in because you'll need to know for the midterm and final. You watch a wide variety of movies, all interesting.
He was very funny and made the class fun during finals and mid term. If you just want a chill class this is the one to take. You only have two essays to do the entire semester and they aren't too hard. He makes days specifically for you to ask him for help or help you on your essays.
Great professor. We do have a lot of papers but they are not that bad and he gives very good feedback on all of them. The books we read are interesting and his own book is funny as well. Good class and I would definitely take him again.
Great professor, not bad at all. My only problem was his own book , "Desperation Passes." I really did not enjoy reading it and it was a pain to try. Besides that, he is okay. Btw, he is kinda a tough grader so be on the lookout.
Great Teacher for 1A. The work is simple and he gives great feedback.
I really enjoyed Professor Hutcheon, he would always come to class with these big sunglasses on and it would make me laugh. He is overall a great professor, he really makes you get involved with the class and communicate with all of your classmates. He is a hard grader in my opinion, we had to write multiple papers and I never got better than a C.
Class is disorganized. Can not view grades. TOUGH GRADER. Finds something wrong with every paper. Cant seem to get a good grade even with applying his feedback from a previous paper. Makes you read books that he wrote. I would rather have the option of reading different books.
Dr. Hutcheon is very approachable and friendly. I took his hybrid class. I enjoy that he doesn't do long lectures. The only text book required is a book he wrote. Expect to triple read your papers because grammar error will cost you. All of the writing assignments topics were very interesting and enjoyable. You will become a better writer.
I took ENG1A with professor Hutcheon, the class was not hard overall as long as you stay on tract and do not procrastinate. He does not offer extra credit or excepts late work but he does give you more than enough time to ask for help before hand. He is also easy to contact, responds fast and works with you.
Dr. Hutcheon is the best English professor I have met in Delta College. If you want to improve your writing level, he is the right English professor. He gives good feedbacks to your essays and has clear topics which relate with the real world. Following his instructions and working hard are good ways to improve grades. He is fair and helpful .
He is an EXTREMELY hard grader. I took all of his advice and STILL got a C on his essay. He told me it was a well written essay but docked me for little grammar mistakes. He grades like youre in grad school when this is an introductory class. DO NOT TAKE HIM unless you are a phenomenal writer.
LOVED this class. Professor Hutcheon is a very laid back & very understanding professor. He dedicated a day for students to schedule an appointment to see him & have him look over their essay, which i would say, helped me out a lot before turning my final draft in.
Phil is one of the best professors I have had. He cares, gives good feedback, and encourages you to do your best. He is quick, so if you are not paying attention in class he will call on you. Manageable work load and pushes due dates to make sure you can stay on track. Entertaining and rewarding class. Will edit essays ahead of due date for success
Hes a really tough grader. He marked my paper on two misplaced commas and I ended up with a C-. He also makes you read his own book which was really boring. I took it online and my whole grade was based on 4 essays. I got 100% on everything else and I still ended up with a C. I would avoid at all costs.
I took this class for fall 2018 and I can say that I do not regret enrolling. Although this professor isn't an easy A, he provides helpful feedback to make your writings run smoothly. He explains things clearly and gives funny lectures at times. No textbook required but there is a book you have to read at a cheap cost at the bookstore. So READ!
He will make you a better writer, he nitpicks your essay until it is perfect. It is not an easy pass but if you use the resources, go to the writing lab and do every assignment you will pass. He does make you read his own books, they were not my favorite but they were easy reads and easy to dissect. New assignment due every week.
My biggest negative is, the 1st week of class, I sent an email asking for clarification of due dates. I did not understand the syllabus. His response was to read the syllabus... You basically teach yourself. 2 due dates for assignments. If you miss the first you get no feedback. Everything is credit/no credit except for two papers and the final.
Loved this class! I was a little intimidated before joining his class due to the other reviews saying he is a tough grader, but I think it all depends on your work ethic and dedication to the class. He gives great feedback if you email him your assignment a few days before the assignment is due. Highly recommend taking this class with Dr. Hutcheon!
Nice guy, cares about his students. Assigned 2 books to read. The books were easy to understand and humorous. We wrote 3 essays for a grade and wrote the rest for just complete/incomplete.
Professor Phil Hutcheon assigns his book, "A Child Left Behind" as a first assignment containing racism, relationships, sexual content, and politics. Personally I think that this book was not interesting nor educational. He assigns 3 essay that are somewhat easy but, a bit confusing. I only found the reminders on due assignments to be helpful.
Grades harder than most other professors. If you make a simple grammar mistake like a comma in the wrong place he docks you a lot of points. HE makes you read a book he wrote "A Child Left behind", the book was all over the place and made zero sense. WOULD NOT TAKE AGAN!!!
Dr. Hutcheon is a very thoughtful professor! He always have useful detailed feedback for my homework !
Like any other new student, I was scared at the prospect of Dr. Hutcheon being "a tough grader," but after passing through his class, I saw that he not only graded but also helped improve your writing skills and communication abilities. If there are any mistakes in your essay, Dr. Hutcheon will point them out and give you a chance to correct them.
Extremely difficult professor to get a hold of over email, he writes in all caps trying to emphasize a point to you as if your a little kid. Essays are on books he wrote, very peculiar but yea, and very tough grader
I took this professor in Fall 2017 and he had us read his own book and write an essay on it. I was able to skim through it in 2 hours and write my essay based on what I skimmed through. He's alright.
I took Mr. Hutcheon class in late January, at first I thought I was gonna fail this class. There wasn't really much to go on by other than his notes for each assignment. Honestly if you just read the modules and communicate with him it's not as hard as most think.
I had to read one of his awful books, "Desperation Passes". I am a minor and this book was filled to the brim with tone-deaf racism, sexual harassment, and messy plot lines. The professor himself is old and I cannot appreciate his writing/teaching "skills" in any way.
Most of, if not all, the assignments are essays, where you post your essay and respond to two other essays from other students. You read a book of his, which is alright. You write a "self-improvement" essay and do some research. Overall not too difficult as long as you have experience writing pretty basic essays. Gives detailed feedback in ALL CAPS
He is the worst teacher I have had in a long time. For an english professor, I found it crazy how confusing his instructions were. Hutcheon could not formulate one understandable sentence in his directions and often repeated things mentioned in other sentences. He makes you buy his very boring book about Stockton. Very picky with grading; annoying.
A REALLY hard grader. I wouldn't recommend for you to take the class if you're not good at writing essays. Your grade is based off of 3 essays. If you want an A, proof read your essays many times and keep in mind suggestions he gives you. His book "A Child Left Behind" was pretty interesting though.
Dr. Hutcheon is awesome! His feedback was always very specific and helpful. The workload was manageable, and I actually enjoyed writing the essays, especially the self-improvement one. I highly recommend his class!
I genuinely find this professor frustrating. He's a harsh grader with essays and will nitpick your sentences so watch out for grammatical mistakes and clarification when writing. He makes you read his own book for required reading which is weird. He also has a super strict late policy so be careful.
Really didn't like his teaching style, assigned so much homework, I would not recommend for anyone else
Mr. Hutcheon was a great professor. Unlike other professors he will detail grade every essay. Reading through it and giving feedback on how you can make the essay better. Overall, even though he is a tough grader it is well worth taking a class with him.
You will find his class difficult if you're not great in English classes. His instructions are all over the place so I had to take notes on my steps before I could start the assignments. I was instantly stressed when I knew I had an assignment coming up for his class. I wouldn't recommend as a first pick, maybe look for an easier class.
There were 3 graded essay,5 others that were complete/incomplete. Required to buy his book. Overall, not much work, but I had a hard time because he refused to grade my essays better. I am a high school student taking this course for credit, but he treated me like a college student and gave me a B on every essay. Very frustrating, barely got an A.
Dr. Hutcheon is a very good professor of really want to learn. He marks and point out every mistake.First time,it looks harsh to you but when you learned by his directions you feel yourself educated. He is a good professor if you really want to learn. I really like strict teachers like him.
By far the worst experience I have ever had, it is very frustrating that he won't let you revise your work unless you meet his expectations. Even if he gives you feedback, very picky about any little mistake and has your grades locked so you can't even see how you're doing all you get is a complete or incomplete and on some essays a letter grade.
Forces you to buy his book. A horrible racist book, save yourself time he has a white savior complex and you won't know your grade until the end of the semester.
The worst professor I have had at delta. It is my last year and he has made it so stressful. You won't know your grade until the end of the semester, I highly recommend looking into other professors
Weekly essays 7 total, 4 are graded on "complete" or "incomplete" but these are easy essays, the rest are letter grades; double check your grammar & citations because you can loose points easy. Some essays are compare/contrast, book (a child left behind), research (35% of grade), narrative (final essay 15% of grade). Grade is locked until final
he disclosed in his syllabus that his class wouldn't be an ‘easy A grade' and he meant it. class wasn't too hard and was straightforward. although he is very nitpicky with grading papers. not a big fan of his book though. it was cringe reading the amount of slurs this man wrote and some of the stereotypes in there were embarrassing..
Dont take him. The reviews on here seem great, but his instructions are very unclear. If you do not do exactly what he wants, down to a tee, you will receieve a zero, and considering there is only seven papers total and nothing besides that, that zero will have a major impact, especially if its a research paper, which is 35%.
Professor Hutcheon has a specific teaching style, but if you engage with it, the class can be manageable. The essays are graded strictly, so stay on top of your writing. I found ChatGPT and Unstuck ai helpful for study prep.
Extremely nit-picky. Only grades based on weekly essays. Terrible professor, if you can even call him that. Not an effective teaching style. Absolutely avoid him at all costs, or else you would just be wasting your money, effort, and time. I would rate him a 0, but that is not possible. Unfortunate.
Mr. Hutcheon is a great teacher, his class is well structured and his essays are easy to do as long as you follow his instructions. I also appreciate his thorough critiques that he makes on the essays. I don't understand why people think his class is difficult, as long as you follow all his instructions, which he clearly provides, you'll be fine.
His class follows a strict routine with weekly essays, and he is extremely nitpicky about grammar and details. You have to buy his book to complete assignments. I would have gotten an A, but he graded harshly on minor grammar issues, which we had to learn on our own. One essay worth 15% lowered my final grade to a B, despite earning A's on the rest
Wouldn't recommend this class despite the good reviews. Trust the negative reviews. This is one of the most difficult class I ever have in my experience. This ruined my semester despite being full time student. Follow the instructions, and choose a topic you'll do well on. Be thoroughly and proofread. Only in this class, you are on your own. GL.
The class had a very structured with a schedule that was easy to follow. He sent out weekly reminders which was helpful. Clear and direct instructions on assignments. Prof. Hutcheon is not an easy grader, but offers constructive feedback on assignments if you choose to submit a rough draft.
I got a D+ on my first essay, which only three essays are your entire grade. So I turned in my second essay early and got his help and approval on half of the essay and yet he still gave me a D. Even with his help he gave me a lower grade than the essay without his help? I'm known for bad grammar but come on I passed my AP Lang class with a B-.
First, he will force you to purchase his own book, which is almost an impossible read. It reads like a clunky middle schooler's work with racial stereotypes. He is very harsh on grading and expects essays almost every week. Even if you like the book, this class will take up all of your time for being such a low level course.
Please be aware that he leaves fake reviews. I would recommend you take anyone else besides him. He has a little man complex, and despite being a prereq class he is a harsh grader. Your grade depends on a total of 6 essays, and you will not know your grade until the end of the semester. I believe he marked all assignments with a pass or incomplete.
