Very helpful teacher and wants students to understand what he's teaching. His lectures are fairly interesting, and he asks you to learn what's on his powerpoint presentations. Tests are straightforward. He's a great prof!

Great professor and an interesting and intelligent individual. The class was fun, though not the easiest, but that's due to how much information there was. He cares about what your opinion is, and always adds in little tidbits of info. that is new. The book was more supplemental, but the vocab was essential.

He gets excited over some topics often, but doesn't stay on them long. Always answers questions and is pretty clear. He gets real upset if people leave early, show up late or do not come at all. He does random in class assignments. Tests are super easy as long as you use his study hints. Great guy.

I was NOT interested in psych, but needed a social science. Prof. Jordan is a GREAT teacher! He made it totally interesting! Be ready to print a LOT of ppts and check blackboard frequently. You need to attend ALWAYS - he gives points at random. Text book use is almost non-existent - wishing I'd saved the $.

Mr. Jordan was extremely helpful and his class was fun to attend every week. He even posted his powerpoints online, which helped out A LOT! Since his tests and quizzes are based on them. This was an extremely easy class to ace and totally worth getting this professor!

This professor does NOT round up. I got a 89.8% and prayed and hoped he would...he did not. Yes perfect attendance is a MUST and do not show up late. I watched him hand out tardy slips...seriously...he does. Random points given which could make or break your grade. Pay attention, participate and show up to class.

Show up to each class with a print-out of the notes, take side notes and do all assignments and you can get an A in the class. Tests can be rough, but not if you study the crud out of your study guide/notes! Don't confuse yourself by reading the textbook. Jordan knows his stuff well enough that the textbook is pretty unnecessary. Enjoy the class!

Great professor. Very nice and open to questions. He posts his notes on BB (short time only)- print them out and add side notes during lecture. Moves quickly, there are pop quizzes and extra credit that fluff your grade. Interesting class! Book was used mainly for quick review. Straight forward exams and a fair grader.

If you come in late he will clown you! He is very upfront about material on exams so you know what to study. His notes are posted online for a span of time so get them as soon as they come up. He doesn't use the book so show up to class prepared to take notes or print out the slides.

Great teacher. He's super nice and very helpful. Some lectures are kind of dull but most are interesting. This semester he started giving more tests which was extremely helpful. We were tested on an average of two chapters so we didn't have to remember things from prior weeks or months. I would definitely take a class with him again.

Great professor! Gets really into what he teaches, makes class fun. Always there to answer questions and help you out. Not much homework, he does give pop quizzes so just go to class. Took both 111 and 150 with him and would recommend him to anyone.

Professor Jordan delivers all of the information very well. He puts all of the power-points that he uses for lectures in class so be sure to print them before he takes them off of Blackboard. There are some extra credit opportunities and if you go to class there are in class assignments that are extra points. Overall GREAT CLASS!

He is one of my favorite professors, I had him for lifespan development and learned so much in the class. He is great at lecturing and it was actually interesting. He is strict when it comes to attending class or coming in late or leaving early. If you do attend he gives easy points. I would recommend him for sure.

Lifespan Development - He likes to talk off subject. I think the class would have been more beneficial if he gave us more written work and case analysis rather than standard tests. Not everybody tests so well. He rushes his quizzes. I think more group activities might help. Don't miss his class, you will loose points from assignments in class.

Great professor, loves his work. Expects you to pull your own weight, but wants you to learn and know what is going on. DO what he hands out and you'll do good. Showing up to class is a MUST! He will not waist your time if you dont waist his.

He changed everything up this semester. You must take notes or you're screwed. So showing up is a must. Theres a quiz every week and it's anywhere from 10 to 20 questions fill in the blank, and if he's being nice, you get multiple choice. Don't take it if you don't expect to work.Exams were different this semester too.Lots of changes.Cool Guy.

GREAT Professor! You have to show up to class and take notes, he doesn't offer his PP slides on BB anymore. There is a quiz once a week just over the notes in class over the previous week. AND they are fill in the blank, but don't freak out if you fail them, Just do really well on the Exams. Exams are on BB, openbook and you have 50 min to complete

If you don't if you don't go to class you won't get a grade better than if you just read the material. He elaborates on the whats in the text book.

He is a great professor. I felt so comfortable with his class. I love his power-points, videos and notes which definitely help students. It is not hard to study compared to the other classes. You will have a fun in his class and love his class. But make sure you study and do your homework on time. OVERALL GREAT

Teaching style is great. Power points are great. If you apply yourself, class is very easy. Is amusing and funny. Knows what he's talking about. Great for a first time Psychology class.

Took his class during the summer awhile back, and it was my 2nd time around. He's awesome and I loved going to class. He has pop quizzes and he makes them SO easy - you'd have to be sleeping to fail. He's extremely interested in what he teaches. I'd recommend Jordan for sure

I took him for PSY111 as well, he was a little bit harder this time, only because he assignes a lot of homework, its gooed because its alot of fluf for your grade. He's really cool about grading and I never opened the book once, the tests and quizes are basically all from his lectures. He doesn't believe in cumulatives so the final's a regular test

Jordan is a great teacher who has online tests, virtual children and adult where you raise your child and then live as yourself to 80 years old. I'd recommend reading all his notes though because he has quizzes every week.

Professor Jordan is a great teacher. Very helpful and will answer any question. Doesn't put powerpoints on blackboard so have to show up in class for notes. Weekly quizzes on notes or articles. Online exams and virtual children/adults every week. Would def. take this professor again!

Pretty difficult since we had class once a week. A little unclear of what chapters to read unless you ask before class dismissal. Gives great examples in class and is there to help you succeed rather than fail. If you talk to him after class on how to do well he will explain exactly what he expects from his students.

Professor Jordan is an excellent instructor. He made me felt like he really cared about the students. The workload is not too bad since it was very interesting to work on. He usually replies to emails very quickly. If he taught another class that was required, I'd definitely take him again.

Prof. Jordan is amazing! I would highly recommend him for anyone interested in taking a PSY class. He is very helpful and pretty relatable. Just be sure to attend all of his classes because you'll need the notes in order to pass.

This online course was one of the best that I ever took. I recommend to others to take this course online. There is a lot of essay questions, exams and reading that takes up a lot of time. But if you are willing to put in the effort and time, then the teacher has no problem giving you an A and then some extra points.

Class is not "mandatory", but if you do not go you will not get anything above a B. He gives one quiz and one exam a week on the material covered in lecture. You do not need to buy the textbook for this class but you will need to buy a program he addresses in class. Getting an "A" was a bit of a challenge, where A's usually come easy to me.

I really enjoyed this online course! Overall an excellent professor with great communication. Highly recommend!

You have to show up to class to get the grade you want.

I would definitely take another of his courses. I asked all kinds of questions and he got back to me within two days every time. There are quizzes with every video so get along with your short term memory, but READ too. His tests incorporate things only found in the book. He's a great professor and very clear up front. I recommend him for anybody.

Try not to be late to his class or else he gives you the evil eye. Otherwise, his lectures, although long, are interesting and he keeps them lively. Good class to take and a good teacher overall. Very understanding with technical issues on blackboard.

His lectures are long but he keeps them interesting (most of the time) and he is funny. If you have any computer issues though he seems to get annoyed and doesn't want to help much. Sometimes he seems to be condescending but ONLY every once in while. Overall he is very clean on what he expects from you. GO TO CLASS!!

Took him for online psy 111. There were alot of quizzes and videos to watch but they were all helpful and related to the chapters! I still refer to some of his materials for other class!

Jordan lectures really well. He is loud and clear. When lecturing he moves and is entertaining. I took it Fridays for 3 hours and he gave us a quiz first thing. He used the full time, but also showed things like "Brain Games" to make it fun. Missing one class lowered me a letter grade though, so quizzes really matter!

Really easy class. Weekly videos followed by quizzes, reading the chapter with a test at the end. You have to really put zero effort into his class to fail. The chapter tests are a big part of the grade, I missed one the whole semester and it hurt it. Otherwise, a really straight forward and fun class!

The lectures are so good I never feel the need to check the time, they are relate able, and he is very good about getting back to emails when you have questions.

Took Professor Jordan for my Human Development Psych class. Phil Jordan is very concise, encouraging, and really strives to make connections with his students, commenting on projects or things that were submitted. I looked forward to the homework every week, as the material was thought-provoking and fun to learn about. By far my favorite class.

This is the most interesting class I've taken at UAA! I loved going to lectures each week. He gave a pop quiz every week in class, but these quizzes were easy and came straight from the notes. He gave pretty simple yet interesting weekly online assignments, which took 1-2 hours each week. Chapter tests and final exam were open book and done online!

In my class he had a 10-15 question quiz every Wednesday in the beginning, on the content we learned the class before. The homework was consistent, EXTREMELY easy. No papers. He relates things to how students would understand. He actually made me consider changing my nursing major to psychology! If you have to miss a class it won't hurt if its his.

By far Professor Jordan was my best instructor! Great lectures, clear expectations, and lots of feedback. He is excellent about answering emails and helping in anyway possible. He expects you to be an adult and be respectful in his class. If you take this class you will learn an incredible amount of useful knowledge!!

Good class. Easy. Gives a lot of quick easy assignments, so tests weight out in the end and aren't worth your entire grade. The only thing I didn't like was that his tests and quizzes were based off only his lectures. Not once did we use the book. Which is a bummer when you spend money on a book. Overall good class.

This is my second class with Jordan. He often changes his class content from semester to semester, and gives out assignments that best fit the class's needs. He really tries to teach content relevant to the students. Most of the tests were online, but he did give a few in class pop quizzes. His lectures had it all; I never once opened the book.

I really enjoyed Lifespan Psych with Professor Jordan. He makes sure he gives every writing assignments a feedback, which I admire. Not bad for a 5 week summer class. Highly recommend him because of the manageable workload

Professor Jordan is overall an amazing professor. We had pop quizzes every Wednesday, but his lectures were clear and he made sure to give us enough time to write everything down. We had some assignments online, but it was very important for us to be in class to get information. He doesn't post powerpoints on Blackboard. Super manageable workload.

Professor Jordan is an excellent prof. and really knows his material. He made sure to remind the students of upcoming HW deadlines. Quick email replies. I had his MW class. Lectures were on M, on Wed. we had quizzes from the material went over during the lecture on M. Homework was online, either thru blackboard or Revel. Some in-class work.

Professor Jordan is fun to listen to in lecture, there will always be a pop quiz every week. Glance at your notes right before class from the previous lecture and you'll be just fine. Learned a lot and was a very interesting class, even if your just taking it for a GER.

Professor Jordan is awesome. It's clear what's expected of you. There are lots of smaller activities each week. I think that the workload is manageable. Awesome and relevant lectures, he grades quickly, he's responsive and posts a reminder each week. I would definitely take another course with him! If you do your work, this is an easy and fun A.

This was a very interesting, but relatively easy class. Quizzes on lectures each week and there's 3 major assignments. If you email a questions, he gets back to you pretty easy. He does not permit late work so keep that in mind.

Very well organized for an online course. Most weekly chapter assignments can be completed within a few hours or less. No extra credit. Honestly, there's really no reason for it. No midterm or final. Professor Jordan really understands the material and how to deliver it best to students. He is one of the few gems left at UAA.

I took this as an online class, but his lecture videos were always helpful. We'd have quite a few assignments every week, nothing difficult though. He would usually add extra lecture videos on specific topics when the chapter was broad, which made the whole class more interesting. Everything is very straight forward, you just have to take the time.

Professor Jordan gives a great online psychology course! He was always willing to answer any additional psych questions I had, and provided us with many fascinating videos to watch in the homework. The class in general was easy to follow, and kept at a good pace. I definitely recommend him!

The lectures were also extremely interesting and well put together videos. If you do the assignments on time and watch the lectures/videos you should do great. Overall a solid choice for an entry level psych class. Some weeks contained more work than others. Personally, I think he has too many quizzes to take after watching videos he picked/made. Reading the book makes this class easier, but manageable w/out it. Makes you do inquizitives from book which can be time consuming/wasting.

One of the kindest professors I've taken. He's willing to work with you if you submit something incorrectly and he also responds almost immediately to emails. I learned so much from his class and through his teaching style. I highly suggest this class. Do buy the book though because most of the assignments are based on the readings.

Professor Jordan has been amazing! I took Life Span Dev. during the summer, so we had 5 weeks to get through 15 weeks of info. He is extremely thourough and very organized in his presentations. The work is not difficult, but there is a lot of things to do. He is professional, understanding, and responds to email quickly. Uses a great textbook!

I took Professor Jordan for A111 and A150(online). In both classes he was helpful, understanding, dedicated, organized and responded to his emails very timely. Also, he made learning fun and relatable. He used both the textbook website and BB for assignments but if you read the book and watch his lectures (take notes) you'll do just fine.

Amazing lectures! Easy online work, in class work, and projects. Effort necessary. Study the slides to pass the exams. If he spots you talking in the middle of a discussion or going out to go to the restroom, he calls you out.

Related the subject matter to real life, making it easier to understand.

If you get the chance to take Jordan's class, DO IT! My favorite thing about him is that he makes the class fun and interesting. There's a quiz online every week over his lecture and some easy online activities. Take notes during the lectures! You need to be at class because he has partner activities randomly that you can't make up if missed.

Jordan was awesome. This was my favorite class this semester. It was an easy A, but I still walked away with new knowledge. He has some odd rules(he doesnt like people to leave class, even for the bathroom). But that would be my only complaint about him.

Although I haven't been in school very long and I took the class online, he is my favorite teacher so far. He's very responsive and helpful, the assignments are always clear and he bumped my 89.6% up to an A without me having to ask.

Prof Jordan was amazing and my favorite class of the semester. His lectures were interesting and stimulating. I was engaged without having to tell myself to. All I can say is I'm glad I took his class! Class material and projects were fairly easy. Make sure to complete online assignments.

Took the 5-week course with him, so it was a LOT to do per week. Anywhere from 5 to 9 videos for mini-lectures, then anywhere from 6 to 8 supplemental lectures, and 5-8 activities. There's also a 30-question quiz and application question every week. Lots of assignments. Self-guided class, but I learned a lot.

Super easy class. I highly recommend taking it for a GER if your schedule is overwhelming. He gives reminders through email when units are due, and give three weeks to complete two units. I suggest taking notes while reading chapters.

I have taken Mr. Jordans online class during Spring 2019. A 15 total of chapters for the whole sem and you have 2 weeks each to do 2-3 chapters which are not bad and are really easy! I usually spent 3-4 hours to do it in one sitting. I have never talked to Jordan in person but he responses quick in my emails. Just do the work and youll do good!

I would still listen/watch Professor Jordans lectures and I took his course a year ago. I recommend his class to all of my friends if they are required to take PSY105. Hes AMAZING and you learn so much!!!

Barely read from the textbook, only to freshen up before the tests, and passed with an A! We were given around 3 chapters every 2 weeks with homework to complete it with. Honestly, I would complete the homework either the day of or the day it was due. Very easy class, yet interesting, informative and well structured!

I took the class online. Professor Jordon gives clear instructions and his (comparatively short) lectures are easy to understand. He is enthusiastic about the subject matter. There are a lot of small but easy assignments for each chapter but he gives plenty of time to finish them. Very responsive, usually in a day or less. I highly recommend him!

Professor Jordan typically replied to e-mail within 12 hours, so he is quite reliable, even with the several large classes he teaches. He helped me understand a few psychological aspects through e-mail. Since there is plenty of reading, especially in the last 3-week period, make sure to schedule that work. Each unit is to be done within 3 weeks.

He is amazing! The class is pretty easy there are weekly chapter quizzes, occasionally there will be extra video quizzes, and 2-3 assignments (per semester). I believe there were 3 exams and he spilts each exam covers 3 modules each. All of the exams come straight from the end of chapter mini quizzes. The interactive book online was about $20.

He was able to outline the course expectations very well. What you needed to know was emphasized and clearly stated. I highly recommend him to anyone taking Psychology.

This class was my favorite class I've probably ever taken. It was online but the material was enjoyable to read, although it was a lot of reading, it was easily digestible and the tests and quizzes applied well to all the reading material presented. He was also extremely empathetic during a global pandemic so that was really nice.

Prof Jordan was amazing. I took his class online, but I felt like I still learned a lot. He is very clear on what is she each week and once you understand the rhythm of the assignments, the class is easy. The assignments are due every Monday, which threw me off at first. I would most definitely take another class if Prof Jordan was teaching.

He is great, he sends auto emails when you finish quizes congradulating you or telling you that you can try the quiz again. Even though its an auto email it honestly made me feel really good. the class isn't hard but its not easy, study and youll be fine. Hes a treat.

As long as you study, the tests and quizzes will be a breeze. He provides encouraging automated e-mails whenever you get a good grade lol//

I took PSY150 and PSY111 as online seminars over the summer and loved them both. As long as you read the book and study for quizzes these classes are a breeze and I really liked Professor Jordan. He gives off very kind vibes and was responsive to my emails when I needed help.

Took his class this summer. It was a 15 week class condensed into 5 weeks which made it pretty challenging to keep up along with my other classes. All the test questions are very straight forward from what you read in the book. One project and the rest was quizzes and tests. Very easy class to pass!

I loved this prof and class. There was a interactive site used for reading, tests, and homework that was super easy and simple to use. He also had lectures that were super interesting. As a summer course there was alot to do but i took it on top of 2 other classes and did just fine. I would definitely take it again.

There was a quiz at the beginning of each class - a 10-to-15-minute quiz on the previous lecture. These were helpful, and the lectures were clear and organized. He was very kind and forgiving. He was quick to respond to emails, and was always helpful.

Great, relatable material; clear guidelines; flexible on latework if needed. One of the most informative courses I've taken, but also one of the easiest. Do the work and enjoy your A. Professor Jordan is awesome.

Pleasantly surprised with Professor Jordan! VERY nice, incredibly patient older gentleman - no difficulties with technology on his part! Clear grading criteria, simplistic "watch video and open book quiz", interactive online textbook system (must pay $35 subscription), easy short lectures a few years old, but nothing detrimental to content. Took psy111 this semester, but took psy150 a few years back and they were both super easy and informative. There are lectures each week with quizzes. Online textbook that has you read and do little quizzes. I felt like I learned a lot. A few actual assignments besides the quizzes, but he's very informative on how to complete them. Great Professor!

I personally loved Professor Jordyn. He gave great positive feedback. There are a lot of quizzes but the chapter quizzes you get to try twice. As long as you watch the lectures, read through the chapters and take notes, you will get an A.

Professor Jordan is phenomenal. Very clear expectations, interesting lectures, and just generally very approachable. Absolutely no reason to come out of this class with anything other than an A. He made the material fun to learn with a VERY reasonable workload.

Professor Jordan was a good professor to have, but didn't do as much teaching. You can tell he used outdated videos for lectures, and you should be ready to read and take quizzes. I am not sure if I would take this class again. It was very easy and self paced, but if you don't enjoy reading then don't take this class. Overall, not a bad class.
