Very hard class but this is a one of few college classes that you can really learn about the subjects.
i kind of like it the way how he teaches. for those who find him as hard prof. it is just philosophy. but the best thing is that there is no final exam. with his questioning, he just makes you to think clearly about what is real and quality of your life
It is hard for someone who is used to go through college with the most minimun effort. I totally recomend his class for those who are serious about their education. He's very clear, organized, and aprouchable.I now understand myself better because of him.
i find it disrespectful that the same ppl are allowed to speak everyday. that kind of atmosphere, in addition to the impersonal learning method of online reading, is sometimes very discouraging. he prides himself as more of a scholar than a teacher.
Of my 3 years at QCC, Dr. Pecorino is perhaps the wisest, humanistic person on campus. He is a genius, and people should look at him, see his vitae, and use that as an example to see how disciplined, student-oriented, downtoearth, and ethical this man is.
Quite possibly the most arrogant individual that I have met. If you have an opinion, do not take his class, unless your opinion matches his.
Although i do agree that he does seem to guide you in the way of his opinion ,its perhaps inevitable, Since hes human like everyone else. Aside from that, i would say he is an excellent teacher, who does seem to have a genuine interest in what he does.
Prof.Pecorino was an AWESOME teacher, I learned a lot from him and thoroughly enjoyed his class!
Prof. Pecorino is a great teacher I have learned alot form his onlne class with the discussion board. Prof. Pecorino is very on point and very helpful he there when we need him and he is always glad to answer question. I think he's a great teacher.

HE ISNT CLEAR SOMEWHAT ON THE THINGS HE SAYS. HIS ESSAYS ARE SO DIFFICULT DONT BOTHER BUT OTHER THAN THAT HE IS A GOOD TEACHER
Prof.Pecorino is an outstanding teacher, who would challenge your mind by risen questions that most people don't think about.
Once you understand what he wants from you, it gets easier. He is very helpful. I have him on-line and he really tries to make YOU think and figure out the answer. After all that is what philosophy is all about. He is hard working &wants us 2 do well.
I took Phisophy twice..first I failed and I thought the class was difficult but If you listen to everything he says, read the material, stay up to date with your work as well you will learn so much.He is a great instructor who belongs at Princeton.
Professor Pecorino tries to keep everything to the point and make things clear for us. I'm taking his online philosophy class, which I didnt think I'd enjoy that much, but surprisingly I do. We learn alot and the interaction's a plus. Fun experience.

Professor Pecorino has a clear knowledge of his subject that he is teaching. He makes classroom talks interesting and definitely makes one think. I think he is a brilliant professor.
I'm in Professor Pecorino's Medical Ethics Class. O admire his style of teaching an course online. His words are so clear,to the point and I know he has great talents.THecoolthing is that he lks Ringo Starr! *Beatles*
HE TELLS HIS STUDENTS TO RATE HIM!HOW DISGUISTING
i,m doing this because he told me also
For someone not to attend his class, in my opinion is not just mising his class. It is an act of unwittingly infantilizing and fleecing your entire thought process from progression to unbounding limitations that will definitely and always be beneficial.
Professor Pecorino is an excellent teacher. His classes are very helpful and interesting; I recommend to any one to take his course.

Prof. Pecorino is really a great teacher. I really recomend anyone to take any of his classes, unless you don't like to think... Plus, he atempts to fly across the room!
You had to work for your grade, made the students think for ourselves and form our own opinion and his hybrid class was great no need to buy the text &we were able to send reports via email- I'd like to see other profs as hi-tech(in tune w/ modern times)
I thought that his class was very interesting but could get a bit out of hand sometimes. Everyone has a different opinion about certain topics and it is hard to be objective when you have your own opinion. He could be a bit harsh at times but effective.
This teacher is not for the stupid or lazy. So if you do not want to work for your grade do not even bother. This is the only real college professor that I have come across in Qcc who teaches on the college level.
Prof. Pecorino tries to make students see things his way and when they don't he makes them feel like crap. He wasn't very helpful to most of the people in my class and they ended up etiher dropping the class or he failed them instead of giving them a WU

This is a vey intense course and requires alot of critical thinking. A little more invlvement would be greatly appriciated to help give people a better understanding of course.
I took the online version of this class... there is no tests just 8 short papers... The first paper and the final paper are nothing.... just your opinion... and you can re-write the rest... excellent teacher.. very clear on what he wants...

The first professor impress me in this college by the way he teaching. Great!!!
This was my favorite class. The professor is great he keeps his classes thought provoking and fun and I walked away with certain thinking skills that I can use as long as I live. I recommend this class very much,(this class is 50% effort and 50%thinking.w/effort &open mind you will get a good grade.
Excellent teacher! This class you think and expand your beliefs.
Prof. is great. He really kept the students working till the end of the semester. He encouragesd the students to help each other.
This class was great ,I didn't expect that I would pass this class since was it was online ,but with y effort and professors help I have made it and I'm really happy , so I enjoyed this class and learned so much. Thank you professor pecorino!
Why so many people drop this course is beyond me. WAKE UP AND START THINKING! It's a relatively simple course and there's not even much work involved. Prof. Pecorino is possibly the most easy going professor I've ever had. Thanks for a great semester!
didnt care for his teaching skills or attitude. to me he was very blah.
prof. peccorino was pretty kool. He taght me alot and motivated e to learn ore. He helped me think. Any time I needed help he offered it. He was kind of stuk up in the beginning but very friendly towards the end. Give him a chance!
The most intimidating professor in the world, very cold and dry has no personality. You dont even feel comfortable speaking to him. If you want to torture yourself then take his class. He does not belong at QCC!
I took this class fully online. I enjoyed the class and dedicated myself to read and understand the material. If I was confused he was more than happy to help me. It is very intensive and he makes you think think think. If I had another opportunity to have this professor for another class, I won't hesitate to enroll.
cool proffesor.enjoyed this class very much.if you try you will get good grade.
this class is realy worth taking. its really easy to get a good grade, but you cant be lazy and if your not happy wit ur assignment grade u could retake it!! this class is really interersting and i wish class wasnt over soo soon and the prof was cool and made u think its worth takin if you need a phioosophy credit take this prof!!!
He was very good. one of the best instructor I ever had. Keep up the good work.
Wow what can be said abt prof.pecorino he is the best professor there is. I highly reccomend him for any course he taeches he makes everthing very interesting he class is the best and he is very helpful, very clear and a caring professor i loved his class and his attitude (Marina)
I TOOK HIM FULLY ONLINE AND IT WAS A FIRST AND THE BEST EXPERIENCE EVER. JUST DO YOUR ASSIGNMENTS, AND GET INTO THE DISCUSSION BOARD AND DO WHAT YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO DO AND THAT'S IT!! NOTHING HARD ABOUT THE CLASS, JUST PREPARE TO BE OPEN-MINDED AND WRITE WRITE WRITE...IT IS A WRITING INTENSIVE COURSE YOU KNOW!!!
the best professor there is
Nothing to comment. Class is done.
Professor Pecorino taught an utterly wonderful online course in Medical Ethics. I learned a hugh amount, had a great deal of fun, worked hard and would take any course he offered. He's a really committed, terrific teacher.
I attended an online summer class. It was very intense, a lot of work, but I was able to do it in bed, on the beach, or in the car so that was nice. The professor is very helpful and knowledgable.
I took an online Medical Ethics Class with the professor. It was a pleasant class that was quite educational & informative. The professor was approachable regarding the materials taught. It was a course that required commitment because it was all online, I loved it. I would reccomend this course for anyone with the self discipline and motivation.
I enjoyed his class alot. Was one of my favorite classes. No A is free but, in this class a feasible feat!
Professor Pecorino is wonderful educator. He guides you throughout the semester and understand students' needs. Thanks to him i very much appericate Philosophy in many ways.
Professor Pecorina has been encouraging and I began to enjoy the class midway through the semester. I think the course is helpful in that it helps you to critically think about computer technologies and its future and impact on us.
He is really helpful and ready to help you anytime you ask for. I am glad i took this class
I wasn't always crazy about the amount of response I received from Dr. Pecorino, but I have to say I have learned more timely and relevant information in this course than I ever expected to. I find some application of what I have learned just about everyday in the news or in conversation. A very good course and well taught.
I took this class online, it was extremely challenging and very rewarding. This was a great class. Be prepared to work and be prepared to walk away with a new found knowledge of the world around you. Great class.
Thisis a type of class where we are to learn from each other. The prof intereacts when necessary to guide us in the right direction. Prof Pecorino did just that - he steered us inthe right direction when we strayed.
Professor Phillip Pecorino is an outstanding, fair and patient Professional. He is by far the best in this department. Recognition and credit must be given to him.
The teacher kept me well informed about my status in the class and what I need to do to improve.
Thanks to the Professor. I really learned in this class. His feedbacks were very helpful.
Brilliant. Professor Phillip Pecorino, was clear, precise, made the class interesting, and was there for everyone whenever we needed him. Thumbs up to you Professor, on a job magnificiently done!
very interesting.
Little to no feedback but found the online course well organized. Topics covered were interesting and important as they impact the majority of today's computing society. Thought-provoking and challenging yet worth the effort.
The class was very good and I learnt a lot. Thanks for the professor
By the end of this class, Professor Pecorino managed to stimulate a strong interest in me regarding my understanding of the world and human relationship.
Tough Course, but a fantastic teacher. Course was relevant and Professor Peccorino made us think "out of the box" all the time. I will take what I learned here and apply it to situations for the rest of my life.
Professor Pecorino is a great teacher. he is helpful, he does not put you down and he helps you to better understand the chapters as you go along. He responds to questions quickly and he is open minded. He is an A+ all the way!!!
He may come off as a hard teacher but he's not. I took this class online for SPSS. You honestly don't need to do the readings, I didn't. Make sure you keep up with discussions. Do your student leads always two days before they are due. He's really easy if you do what's told. I'm a slacker and I still got an A.
GREAT PROFFESSOR
I felt the class we well structured and thought provoking. I took the class because it was a requirement, but now that I've taken it, I would recommend it to anyone whether they needed it or not.
The professor was very helpful and guided you along the way. I like the fact that after every week you knew where you stood, grade wise, in this course. If you needed to improve you always had time to do so. I would definitely recommend this class to other students.
Overall a good learning experience
Dr. Pecorino is an excellent professor. Very responsive to questions. His participation in the class is sometimes brief but always impactful. In this case, less was more. Fair grading, challeging assignments, and lively discussions. I would recommend this class to anyone who enrolls in college.
Professor Pecorino does a great job getting the point of Philosophy across. He is pretty strict when it comes to applying what you have already learned. I would take another class from him!
hes a great teacher, and fun. i have learned so much from this class, and i recommend it for any major..it will make you want to change your major actually. take the partially online class becuase attendance in done online., although the meetings once a week are very helpful JUST TAKE THE COURSE!its great becuase you always know your overall grade!
I really enjoyed this class and would recommend it to all. Professor Pecorino's course is extremely well laid out with a regularly updated gradebook. He is an excellent techno-savvy teacher who has embraced the digital era. You will enjoy your semester as well as learn
VERY HELPFUL EXCELLENT CLASS
I really enjoyed this online class and learned alot about the dialectical reasoning process and philosphy.
Extremely organized class structure. Clear definition of what is expected.
Easy going class. Prof gives you an opportunity to complete the missed assignment for a full credit which is great !!

Intensive reading & writing but it was well worth the knowledge gained. Assignment tasks seemed tedious at first but once I got the hang of it all (time management for completing weekly assignments for each of my courses) this class was a breeze.
great great great professor. take the partially online class. u dont even have to show up to class as long as u do the work thats online. but his classes r so interesting itll make u want to go!
This class was very interesting and fun to take. The professor lets you make up work that isnt a perfect score and works with the students to bring their grades up. Easy A if you put the time and effort into the class. ITS A MUST, TAKE HIM!
I took the partialy online class. Attendance was not mandatory for the physical class, but it is online, at least 3 times a week and you must post, complete the discussion board assignments, plus homework to send it. VERY HARD & lots of reading. Do not take him unless you are really going to dedicate yourself. He is a very hard grader!
i took the online class. easy A as long as you put in the time and effort.he gave lots of extra credit and let you redo a written assignment if it wasnt a perfect score. its not so much reading but the written assignment was heavy at times but the hw was all common sense. he'll only be mean if your not doing the work. take him if you want an easy A
I took the Medical Ethics online class during the summer session..and it was a LOT of work..this class is a WI..so there is A LOT of reading as well as writing involved..prof. was nice..gave a lotta opportunities to earn extra credits..although I would suggest to double check and count your points to confirm that you're getting the grade u deserve!
Summer online course was intense but as long as you complete what is asked of you in the syllabus, the class is a piece of cake. It seems like a lot of reading but most of it is actually interesting if you open your mind to the material. Keep your eye on the due dates, module end dates, Participate in class discussions, and you'll get an A!!!
I had him for intro to philosophy what an amazing professor he kept us awake in class very loud and good at making his point. If you do every assignment exactly as asked and really try to understand what hes talking about you will do great.
Not easy A at all, many homework and make sure you have time to do them cuz the homeworks are 50/100 of your grade, also even though you did all of the HW it doesn't mean you can get full mark....
Took the online class. Class wasn't so easy but still got an A. A lot of reading and assignments. As long as you do what you're supposed to you should be fine. He allows for a lot of extra credit too.
Prof. Pecorino is one of those professors that teach many sections in a few different colleges. He uses his own online book and gives a lot of work. I am a good student, but his work extremely demanding. If you are going to take this course with Pecorino, make sure it is your only course.
Do all his home works and make sure you read the textbook. You got to read a lot but once you understand the homework is doable. Do extra credits. He does a point systems and he tells you, your projected grade. Listen and ask question don't wait till the last minute
Dr. Pecorino is simply an amazing professor. I learned soooo much from him. Philosophy became one of my favorite classes because of him. His work is pretty demanding and you'll need to put a lot of effort, time, and use critical thinking for the homework. At the end, though, it's all worth it! He is a lot of fun and he'll challenge you to the max!
Good prof, good person, fair. I mostly dislike philosophy, but Pecorino made me dislike it somewhat less.
Great online class. I thought I would finish the class with a C but left with an A. Course does require for you to pay attention to it. Fair amount of blackboard discussions per Module & weekly assignments are fair. The assignment questions can become repedative but over all a good course.
Professor Pecorino is the best !, love his style of teaching he is VERY organized and you understand exactly what needs to be done and when it is due, there are NO exams for this class. Easy A if you really do the work and do what is asked of you. He's awesome I would definitely take his class again ! I got an A as a final grade.
Prof. Pecorino is amazing. He's work is clear and he explains his material that you will be able to understand. There are no exams but there are papers that need massive amount of thinking, also dicussions in class as well as online. His class is points based so if you do everything you have to do, you'll get an A.
Took this class as an online course. You get what you put in. The Prof. is there for you when you have questions. This class will make you think and get you stumped at times. Just make sure you participate and do all of your assignments and you should be ok. *Bonus* the textbook is provided online for free.
*Free online textbook**. There were 7 main assignments to be completed throughout the semester. Many bonus opportunities are available, it varies for what the bonus points count for so show up. If you find it draining to read an excessive amount of text, there're ways around it to find your answers &complete the assignment(doesn't involve cheating)
Very inspirational class, No exams only assignments that are based on your thinking, more importantly READ THE TEXTBOOK!! Other than that easy A.
I got an A, and I worked hard for it. This was a WI class, and you will WRITE. Most of the class dropped out, because it was very intimidating at 1st, but it did get easier. He is very fair, understanding, and a bit funny. The book was online reading so you will save a few bucks there.
The course was Partially online and an hour in class. The course is graded by attendance, blackboard discussion and writing assignments. Each is a considerable amount of points. The more you do the more you get. The professor is great, the material was a bit tough but after you get the hang of it with the online textbook, It's fairly easy. Take him
I loved this course because all the topics that we saw were relevant to the course. I specially liked the way that the professor gives the class because he is really clear when he explains a new topic. I would recommend this professor to a friend because he is just amazing.
NO TESTS!! He only gives you 9 written assignments that go along with what was taught in class. It's not that easy if your a lazy person because you can't make up assignments and there's a 1 or 2 week deadline for each assignment. Also, there's one class you don't want to miss where he gives you a free '100'.
This guy is TOUGH!! 9 written assignments that consist of around 2-3 pages each and the lectures are long and boring. Don't bother bringing a notebook because you don't need to take notes.
Great Professor, hard subject.
Very helpful.. Really need to be in the discussions participation is a must gives extra credit as long as you post in the discussion board and participate you will pass
He is a great professor for philosophy, you will learn a lot from the class and the professor himself. Make sure you do the assignments on time, HIGHLY suggested.
Professor Pecorino's aim is to make you a more critical thinker. This class extends beyond the realm of philosophy and you will apply what you learned in this class to other aspects of your life. Highly recommended Professor & subject.
Expect to put in a lot of work in terms of writing assignments and reading. It is all manageable and he gives out tons of extra credit.
Be prepared to read a lot. Easy written assignment all are copy and paste. A lot of extra credit. If you are lazy don't take this class. I enjoy his class also learnt a lot.
Great Professor, will work with you
Took his class for Writing Intensive, he definitely makes you work for it and is a tough grader!!! My papers would be about 15 pages long for each 9 assignments! Extra credits are even worse, I stayed up a few times to do his assignments and ended up with grades as low as 0 & 10. His lectures are super boring at times, but he is sometimes fun.
I thought the class was hard but after the 1st paper it gets easier. He gives models of each assignment. Best philosophy professor do the assignments get an A .
This class can seem a bit overwhelming if you don't want to read and participate in the online work. Also this class I feel that it is important to always check your email and the discussions in case any changes or something important pops up. Be prepared to answer a lot of questions and do a lot of reading. The less communication the harder.
Amazing class and a spectacular professor :) the class is easy if you do the reading, keep an open mind and do the assignments and discussions. Make sure to organize yourself, read the text, do extra research and hand in your assignment's on time also DO THE EXTRA CREDIT it doesn't hurt to get a few extra points. Overall I would highly recommend it
He gives a lot of work and does not explain the work enough or thorough.
Great class would love it
The class was awesome. Keep an open mind and do the readings.
Takes attendance very serious, some of the assignments he gives are kind of hard and gives bonus assignments that really help out your grade. Overall is he a funny and nice guy.
Hard grader but if gets easy after the first paper , do your work on time , and come to class and you should be fine . Funny teacher would recommend!
He was a great professor, but he gives an assignment every week. It's due every Sunday at 12:00 am. Talks in ways that can confuse you. Work can seem overwhelming, and text book is indeed a necessary. Once you do an assignment and wish to do better, he allows you to fix your assignment to get the better grade. Gets you thinking.
WORSE PROFESSOR EVER!!! Taking his online course, doesn't explain anything properly. Overwhelming amount of information on blackboard which is VERY CONFUSING!! Expects everyone to be philosophers. I won't even recommend him to my enemy. Maybe with the comments I saw his in person class is good but NEVER take it ONLINE!!
Let me start by saying I received a B in this course. It is a lot of work, but certainly doable. I only received a B because I missed one assignment. The problem I have is that I walked away from this course feeling like I didn't really learn anything. There was very little feedback. two thirds of the class routinely fails.
Best Professor EVER!!!!! He is so good at teaching. His lectures are amazing and he tells you so many stories about his childhood!! I was always late to his class because it was an 8 AM class, he excused me. NO EXAMS!!! 9 ASSIGNMENTS. NO TEXT BOOK REQUIRED! ASSIGNMENTS ARE SO EASYYY. I would take it again and again if I could.
Honestly, do yourself a big favor and don't take his online class. I can't say for in person, but for the love of god don't take his online class. He is of no help whatsoever and the course load is WAYYY too demanding. He says don't get nervous because it looks overwhelming at first, it is overwhelming... forever. It doesn't get easier.
He gives 10 papers throughout the semester but theyre not as hard as they appear, his lecture is very interesting and makes you think Im very different ways, its not an easy A but its definitely not a hard class, he gives you chances to redo the work, make sure to always ask for extra credit in class he usually gives it out and ask for redos!!!
please avoid this professor at all costs. dont set yourself up for failure
be on top of the work. seems like only 5% of the class passed. be careful, this class is a lot of work.
This class is just a compilation of work that the professor has accumulated over the years. The course is way to detail oriented which waste time and constantly makes the student read redundant material over and over. You can tell that he only adds to the class which is why there is way too much information to process in a fair amount of time.
This class will really make you think. It is reading intensive, but the textbook is online and free. No tests, but lots of papers and written assignments. It was a lot of work. You will spend A LOT of time on this class. Overall, I felt rewarded for my efforts as he is a fair grader.
Dr. Pecorino is a great professor.
This course requires a lot of time dedicated to it, and you will have many readings, and writing assignments every week. However there is no midterm exam or final exam or essay, just weekly readings, assignments, discussion board, and case studies, but he the professor does grade clearly, and will give you a chance to earn bonus points at the end!
Homework is a pain but overall a good professor! Just show up to class and do your homework and your fine. He also gives extra credit.
Professor Pecorino is a fair Professor, if you study youll pass, as long you follow his instructions you will be ok, its a lot of reading but overall his class is very interesting and useful to knowledge your skills in your career. It was worth it all the invested time !. Would I take his class again? Of course I would do it ...
The topic was fairly easy to understand but you have to work for an A. Prof. Pecorino structured this class in a very straightforward way where it is easy to understand and will not have to constantly ask for help. Lots of reading and short papers but no midterms or exams. The "final" was just an evaluation of the class, which counts as EC.
Although I only received a C- in the class, I take full responsibility for my grade. Unfortunately, I had some things happen in my life and did not have as much time as I wanted to dedicate to school. Combined with my other classes, I had to choose some assignments to leave behind. Everyone is graded fairly, do the assignments and you'll get an A+.
I took this course online and at first it was very intimidating the instructions on how the online class was going to go. After the first week I relaxed and realized this professor is very direct. All you need to do is do the modules on discussion board and submit an assignment (paper) every week or almost every week.
He is AMAZING! I've never met him in person but he knows what he's doing and he's really good at it. The material he covers may be lengthy, depending on your time management. Overall, if you put in your time and effort into it, you'll learn so much.
saying don't get over whelm,m but don't fall for his traps he trying to make people fail.
took this class online this summer, 100% recommend. Textbook is online + free. No midterm, no exams & the final was a bonus that counted as extra credit. Do the work to your best ability & youll get a high grade. Everything was straight forward, but make sure to manage your time well to complete all required work.
you must be able to read alot and put in the time, if you don't then you will fail
Dr. Pecorino is an interesting professor, I took him for medical ethics online. The class had a lot of reading due every three days with even more discussion boards, assignments and case studies. Even though the class is an extreme amount of work, only first few assignments were hard. After you get used to the work it actually becomes super easy.
It was a Summer 8 weeks class. Very intense, but Dr. Pecorino was fair with the course. It's college and if we are getting into the medical field there are no shortcuts. He gave excellent feedback and a chance to re-do the assignments. I highly recommend him.
Nothing in his class has been organized. His syllabus is just links upon links and hard to understand. He assumes we don't have any other classes or a life outside of his class besides his.
Online Bioethics class. A amazing amount of reading required. Numerous outdated data and links that don't work. Much of the data is from over 20 years ago. I am paying for what here ??? He posts on his site that he wants feedback from students. He does not however. He does not like to be questioned at all. Egoist anyone?
Class can seem intimidating. It's not though. There are no exams. Just DB and papers, duh! It's a writing intensive course. You will notice a lot of student give up by mid-semester. There were 7-9 of us left by the end. The class is really an easy A if you actually submit the work. He even offers two extra credit ops and a free week with credit.
No tests! just do your assignments and discussion posts. Hes looking at the effort you make and gives extra credit AND second chances with reasonable cause. Make sure you check your grade book (he misses some). Aside from personal reasons, if you dont do well, you just didnt care or try. EASY class if you put effort in!
I cant even believe he has good reviews on here. I withdrew from his class after 2 months. He tends to over explain when it comes to instructions which makes it more complicated than necessary. I followed instructions based on the rubric and he still would take points off. Also stopped answering emails when I contacted him about it.
Do everything and you will literally leave with an A+. Skim his long essays on his website and just make sure you answer EVERY part of his questions. Overall, the class was a tad bit demanding but is doable!! No tests!! Only easy weekly discussion posts (5-7 posts a week) mostly opinion-based, and Module assignments (also not hard just long)
Never ever take his online Phill101. I warned you, the amount of useless stressful "tasks" are overwhelming even if it's a single class you take.
Lots of readings and assignments. EVERYTHING has to be answered with evidence. Not an opinion-based class. Be ready to challenge your beliefs. The only material needed is his textbook, which is free. Don't panic, the first week is the worst, but it gets better after that. People who drop the class might be used to easy stuff, but this is college!
HALF his class is FAILING within the FIRST WEEK. Do NOT take his philosophy courses. HE DOES NOT USE BLACKBOARD correctly and insist on using his own disorganized and sloppy website. He is highly DEMANDING. The amount of UNNECESSARY reading you have to do is a shame. Don't let people blame you for failing his class, when he is a TERRIBLE professor.
He is one of the best professor for PHIL. He is nice but tough grader but have to read a lot gives extra credit. I highly recommend y'all student to take him if y'all taking any philosophy class.
He is a great professor. The class may seem overwhelming at first, but once you get the hang of it it's easy. You have to be prepared to do a lot of reading and writing, but that's part of every class. I learned a lot from him. I highly recommend taking this class especially if you want to work in the healthcare field.
Great professor Lots of details given in online textbook. I learnt a lot.
Although this class was online, Prof Pecorino really made the instructions clear and understandable in the syllabus. Just read his textbook and the syllabus thoroughly and that's pretty much an ez A.
Awesome semester! Very easy class. Try to keep up because it's alot of content to read but informative. Three discussion submission minimum and one essay per week on blackboard. No midterm, quizzes, or final exams. Just submit your work and paper and follow instructions and you will pass.
Professor Pecorino's class may seem underwhelming for some at first, however, once you understand what is required to complete the weekly assignments and discussion board tasks: you should be able to get an A very easily. There are no exams or quizzes, just have to do the assignments. He is very understandable and wants you to succeed.
Is an easy A if you do all the assignments.
Professor Pecorino is a gifted educator. He is personable and able to keep the students engaged. There are no exams or finals. He is very fair, empathetic and considerate of the students' needs. A good grade is indeed achievable ( bonus work and opportunity to correct work). I would highly reccomend Biomedical Ethics under his instruction.
Philip Pecorino's class is very time consuming and should not be taken with a heavy class load. I will be retaking this class ASAP but only by itself or with a very light class load. He is very kind and patient but very demanding. Assignments are due every few days. Discussion board is attendance, you have to reply to every single topic.
Philip is extremely dismissive and unhelpful. Asked him for help in the class after receiving bad feedback on my assignments and he immediately turned me down and belittled me. After calling him out for passive aggression he tried apologizing. I withdrew from the course, wasted my time and money. This man needs to retire already.
Very knowledgeable. The class is very time-consuming so do not take it with other courses. I had straight A's all semester, this class is very easy.
AWESOME PROFESSOR!
Awesome professor! There is a lot of homework and writing involved so his course was quite time consuming but it was pretty easy to get through. 10/10!!
Professor Pecorino's class is manageable if you stay on top of the work. The assignments can be time-consuming, but with resources like unstuck AI, you'll be able to tackle them efficiently. An A is doable if you follow the syllabus closely.
Very time consuming. Lots of reading and assignments. And he uses his own website for textbook, grading, etc.; instead of Brightspace. It was difficult to work with it, and would prefer him to utilize the unified system. He's generous grades as long as you do the work and show some effort. He offers bonus assignments to make up the grades too.
He is too demanding!! The workload is irrational & when you ask for help he has an attitude & gets smart with you. Only take this class if this is your only class! He thinks his class is the only one that exists & he doesn't try to work with you. Half the class is failing so far & he doesn't use brightspace. Runnnnnnnnnn!
This was a summer course that I attended. a lot of reading, a lot of understanding, and heavy assignments. No tests or quizzes. The professor is direct. Prioritizing your timing will help you pass this class. I appreciate how well-organized Professor Pecorino is with his resources. If you stay on top of the assignments, you can pass this class.
Professor is AMAZING!. He is very helpful and responds to you when you're in need of help. Lot's of reading but he tell's you what you need to read. Text book is on line. At first the class seems to be a ot but it's not, just pay attention to what work you need to do and you will get an EASY A.
I found the class to be quite challenging, primarily due to its scheduling as a summer course. The lectures were fast-paced and demanding, yet I managed to keep up with the material. Despite the intensity, the experience was rewarding and pushed me to engage more deeply with the subject matter.
Professor Phillip. Pecorino is a very open and very straight forward individual who will help you to do your best if you are willing to put in the work. He is very informative and I did enjoyed my summer class with him. Thanks professor
Prof is really good! Class was very straightforward and he clearly explained what he expected from us. Material was also super interesting. Offered extra credit!
If you have him for online... Its intense but he really cares to educate you and make sure you understand all the data he's feeding the students. It seems like a lot of tedious work but the work in the end will make you think better as a person. If you are LAZY, you WILL FAIL. Great Professor for students who care about education.
The best professor you can take this fall semester. I definitely recommend him. All you have to do is homework and attend class. His class was very interesting and very easy. Thank you, Professor Philip Pecorino. If you do your homework and attend classes, you'll easily get an A.
he is great, you will NEED to read. it is impossible to fail
He is a great professor, you have to take with him. You just have to do assignments and no quiz no exams, really good .
A great professor. If you're open minded and focus during class there's no reason not to pass. Makes all the ideas clear and then leaves you to make the decision on your philosophy.
