Dr.Reedy is very nice and helpful,and also a good and funny teacher. He explains things quite well.YOu will find his class easy if you pay attention to his lectures since most of the questions or problems on quizes or tests are similar to the what he gives in class.I highly recommend to take him.

This teacher is really great. I failed the class the first time because I didnt go to class at all, but when I took him again and went to class I got the 2nd highest grade in the class. You have to apply yourself and di the worksheets. If you do that then he will be the best instructor you can get.

Dr. Reedy is a great teacher, he always talks to the class with respect, if you apply yourself and do all the worksheets and study his notes you will do great, I am getting an "A"in the class and this is what I have done. Do not miss lecture or lab or you will get lost. I have found that you really do not need the text book, he never checks for it

Dr. Reedy is the only teacher you should consider taking chem3a with! He makes chemistry fun (i was dreading taking this class). He has a great sense of humor and is full of energy. He is willing to help you as long as you go to class and apply yourself. He is very generous when it comes to his grading style! Overall fantastic teacher!!

I wouldn't suggest taking this course with any other teacher. Reedy is funny, interesting, and VERY helpful. If you apply yourself, and do the WORKSHEETS, he will help you in the end. He takes a very boring subject and makes it bearable. It is easy to fall behind quick in this class so it's you have to stick with.

I love his little stories, and who could forget his cookie recipe. A great teacher that makes learning chemistry fun. Don't take anyone else for 3A.

A+++!! A dream geek. A gifted instructor. Very fair, organized, and focused. Anyone who takes his class and is willing to put in the time to study will learn a LOT and get a decent grade. His study guides, reviews and clear instructions make that possible. On a personal level, he is a sincere, sweet, funny, dedicated "straight-arrow" sorta guy.

He kinda looks like he would have fit into revenge of the nerds and his personality is like Jonny Carson. But he is a great teacher, he goes out of his way to make sure u know what he is teaching and he makes it fun too.

It is a very hard subject but Dr. Reedy fulfills his end of the bargain and in order to make it you must fulfill your end of the bargain (studying).

This guy is the bomb! He is super entertaining, one time he did the moonwalk on top of his desk!I spent half of the lecture justlaughing, he talks about the atoms like their people, he makes concepts so clear, and gives you easy ways to remember things. I learned a lot and was well prepared for Chem 1A after his class.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. In fact, if you can get in, try very hard to get him for this class. While we were having fun, students with the other Chem 3A instructors looked confused and frustrated. Geek factor is way up, but maybe he just can't find a phone booth.

I wish Dr. Reedy taught Chem 3B. He is a gifted teacher and love his style of teaching. He is geek that knows his stuff and definitely knows how to make his students laugh. He took away my fear towards chemistry and now I am getting an A. He one of the best science teachers that I've had and definitely recommend him.

Dr. Phil is a wonderful teacher. Chemistry is a complicated subject to me, but I think he breaks it down to about as far as you can break it down. Great Teacher!!!!

He is honestly an awesome teacher. The only people who wouldn't do well in his class are those who just show up to class and aren't prepared to do any work. Just try and you will do great! He makes the subject matter seem so much more interesting than it is.

the best teacher I have ever had at delta!! He drops 2 quizzes and replaces ure lowest test score by the final. I currently have an A in his class. Reedy also gives extra credit! If you wanna learn chemistry, take reedy! He is not monotone and cracks jokes sometimes. His lectures are very understanding.

REedy is okay. He wasn't all that. Sometimes he makes students feel like they're dumb by making stupid remarks. He should stop! His test are tricky and mind boggling. But he is pretty cool... gotta give him on his demos though. Overall okay class... not what everybody makes it out to be!

Took this class online, was easy as long as I read the booK and watched the DVD. Would recommend this teacher/class.

Perhaps I'm Dr. Reedys oldest (62)student yet. He's a caring, thoughtful and skilled teacher who doesn't intimidate or overwhelm his students. I was scared at first. However, he's easy to work with and drops your lowest score with hopefully your higher final test score which can be very helpful.

Dr. Phil is wonderful. Make chemistry fun. Always willing to help out and explain and clarify where needed. Definitely recommended.

Reedy is awesome because he barely gives any homework and even though chemistry isn't the easiest subject, he keeps it interesting. As long as you take notes in lecture, you won't even need the book, I didn't even use it once! Just don't get lazy with the experiments and the key to his tests is MEMORIZATION! He's a good teacher

Mr. Reedy is a phenomenal instructor and demonstrates a passion and enthusiasm for chemistry. He makes the challenging concepts fun and enjoys when the students are interactive with him. Although he doesn't stress required readings in the textbook, I found it to be an extremely helpful resource. Make good use of his workbook to be well equipped!

Great Chemistry Teacher! He was always there to answer questions and you could tell that he did want the students to excell in his class. Chemisty is a tough subject to begin with, but Mr. Reedy made it possible for every student to recieve a good grade if they truly applied themselves.

VERY GOOD TEACHER.The subject was difficult for a few of us classmates. I suggest that you attend lecture take notes, and get samples of the previous test. Dr.Reedy is a great professor. This subject is very complicated and as long as you ask questions he will do everything in his power to help you understand. GREAT PROFESSOR, HARD SUBJECT (intro). In Reedy's class, you get out what you put in. sit towards the front and interacting in both lecture and lab sections. He takes notice and it will help bump a borderline grade. GET HELP IF YOU ARE LOST. go to the tutor center, his office hours, meet up with classmates, whatever, just dont fall behind.

He is one of funny professors at the campus. He made the class fun and interesting. He has a good sense of humors. Every Friday, he tutors the students who need more help. Chemistry is NOT my thing but required to take for my degree. Glad that I barely passed! My dad wasn't happy with me because he is a retired chemist. Oh well!

Mr. Reedy is a great teacher. He is funny and actually makes the subject very intersting. He always gives you a practice quiz and exam which looks almost exactly like the real quiz/exam. He makes class very enjoyable. Very easy to pass this class if you just put some time into it. Will not take up all your time though. Highly Reccomended

This teacher is soo easy you'll probably leave during lecture saying I already know that. I took Chem in HS and hated it. Reedy makes everything clear and understandable. His methods helped me understand topics I had trouble understanding before. Labs are easy. Goes over worksheets with clarity and answeres all questions. Class is a bit long.

There is a reason why his class fills up the fastest. He is a very skilled lecturer and he completely prepares you for his tests, if you show up and put the time in. Dr. Reedy is a cool guy who clearly loves teaching and has a fabulous sense of humor. I wouldn't take anyone else unless I had to. Attendance is absolutely necessary IMO.

Great teacher. He's super nerdy, but very clear. Labs are once a week. His lectures explain absolutely everything, it's great. Couldn't recommend him more, and I wish he taught chemistry 001 (both of them).

Goes way too fast and crams in way too many tests and quizzes at the very end. Doing well in the class, but only because I've teamed up with another chem teacher to study. Lively teacher, just goes WAY TOO FAST!

He is an upbeat teacher, but let me tell you he's downright rude. Always makes snappy, sarcastic remarks about other people. Prepare to study A LOT. Not as easy as everyone makes him out to be. If you're good at chem, you'll love this class. He's rude, and his study guides SUCK! YES REEDY YOUR STUDY GUIDES ARE WAY EASIER THAN THE TEST! Tests suck!

He is so detailed in explaining concepts that sometimes he over explains, making it difficult for some to grasp the concept. In fact, I often thought he could have cut class time in half because he would spend much longer than necessary explaing a concept that only needed a short explanation. He is a great teacher, I just got bored with the class.

One of the best science professors at Delta. If you took high school chem, easy A. If you didn't take HS chem it's still a doable course. He explains material clearly and will keep explaining until you get it. I didn't by the txtbook and never had to use it. His labs are fun. Made me enjoy Chemistry more than my HS Chem class.

If you are planning to take Chem3A, I highly recommend Dr.Reedy. Very nice guy and willing to help and teach. You do not need the thick textbook. As long as you attend his lectures and take notes you will be fine. Several quizzes, 3 exams, 1 Final. No lab exams. Have fun.

Amazing professor! Reedy explains chemistry so well that I rarely needed to open the book. He offers grading schemes such as "replace lowest exam with the final" and "these worksheets are only extra credit" which definitely help the beginner. Explosions and fires included.

Professor Reedy is an amazing teacher. I was intimidated to take Chemistry but like everyone else is saying, he made it fun. He is very clear but will not cover all the material Demmons covers in her 3A class. My advice is if you want to be prepared for 3B, take Demmons!!!!

Study. Do all wrksheets helps you for the quizzes and test. Do all labs. Hang in there. Textbook is an easy read. Reedy makes Chem seem easy until you have to apply the info yourself so make sure you understand the concepts.

He can be easy ONLY if you study for his exams and quizzes. The in-class labs are easy and do not require much time out of class to finish but you have to study for the exams, else you'll get a lower grade than you want.

Great teacher, makes chem easy to learn! 4 tests (final is easy & substitutes your lowest test), 10 quizzes (drops 2 lowest), 8 labs (step-by-step instructions)..sounds like a lot but isn't. He is flexible too! Go to class, pay attention, take notes- no reason you can't pass. I Got an A, never even used the textbook. I Recommend Reedy 100%

if youre pre med, engineeing, or other science major, he is not the prof. to take. he's so laid back and easy! if you move on the 1A, you will utterly fail if you dont learn the concepts in 3A. Pay attention. He's awesome! Test and quizzes were a joke, do practice tests on etudes. book was irrelevant, but read it so youre prepared for 1A. :)

I really enjoyed Mr. Reedy's class. I feel like he explains things really well even though the material can get hard. Make sure to go to SI! It really helps. WONDERFUL!!! I wish Dr.Phil taught other chemistry classes at Delta. He was born to be a chemist! I've even considered changing my major because of his class! I HIGHLY recommend! My advice is DO THE PRACTICE QUIZZES ON ETUDES!

Prof. Reedy is the BEST teacher to take for Chem 3A. His practices quizzes that he gives on Etudes are basically identical to the actual quizzes he hands out. I highly recommend you attend the S.I for this class in the math/science learning center. His FINAL is all multiple choice with an exception to a few problems.90% of his classes received A's.

Reedy is an awesome professor. He may give a lot of work but the subject requires a lot of practice. If you took chemistry in high school, you will do fine in this class. The experiments were a lot of fun :)! The best way to pass this class is do not procrastinate and actually use your book/the videos; you paid for them for a reason. Very fun class

Really awesome chemistry professor. You need to go to every single lecture and lab because ALL of the information is important. He encourages you to ask questions if anything is unclear. He fully prepares you with practice quizzes and exams so you will never be surprised. Take him for 3A and you will not regret it! He's pretty funny too.

Mr. Reedy is a goofball but a incredible teacher. The way he taught chemistry was very concise and got me interested right away. If you participate, do the extra credit, and do well on the exams then you should have no problem passing his class. Btw I never used a textbook but I barely got an A. Those who did use the textbook passed with ease.

I have a short attention span so i struggle to really be into what he's saying to follow along. SI HELPED STUPENDOUSLY! Labs are cool and easy. He's easy going and can crack a joke here and there. Would definitely take again!

He's a great teacher and funny. The class is hard already and don't miss class it will hurt you. Take advantage of the SI and the practice quizes, very helpful. The teacher is open to questions and he is always willing to help. I would take his class again! Many refrences to Star Trek and always shows his socks to remind us elements come in pairs.

Reedy is a really good teacher. I didn't have an interest for chemistry until now. Everything he wants you to know is clearly stated, and the quizzes are almost identical to the worksheets. You have to put in some work, but it's a relatively easy class to pass. Math is required.

Let's just say he's a really nice professor. He's very clear during lectures/labs. Tests are challenging, but if you pay attention you'll be fine. Science is not my field but I still managed to pass the class. Take him. Honestly, he is better than the rest of the chemistry faculty.

Highly recommend this professor. I just used the notes he gave in class and lab lectures. Will ask frequently if you have any questions. Labs are explained and not graded tough. Professor Reedy is a great guy. He gives practice quizzes that are exactly like his actual quizzes. I found that he grades the labs pretty tough. I also struggled with tests. I am an above average student and I found that I had to try really hard in this class. Take this class if you are satisfied with receiving a B or C.

Honestly, the only thing I didn't like about this class was that I felt like I was constantly shopping for not-so-"common household items" for experiments. Yes, the class is a little difficult, but if you do the conceptual academy assignments before the etudes ones, you shouldn't have any problems with this class.

Very funny and entertaining. The amount of homework was reasonable, and even though the quizzes were not hard, it was difficult to get a perfect score. He did cool experiments, usually making things explode. Good lectures, but they are long. If you want an A, don't miss the lectures and take notes, especially when he says it will be on the test.

Dr. Reedy is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He color codes the difficult concepts to grasp within diagrams and math work. He gives you everything to succeed. He gives you practice quizzes, exams, even the final! Tells you what you need on the final to get the closest passing grade/ next bump up (if possible). He answers his emails religiously

Hes an overall great teacher and I would highly recommend him. His lectures can be a bit heavy at times but he is very good at explaining things in a way you will understand it better. He cares about his students grades and will help you at any time if youre confused or need help.

I can't say that Delta has a very exciting selection of Physical Science classes but there are always some diamonds in the rough. Reedy is that diamond! He was an amazing professor who was very helpful both in and out of class, his work was not ridiculously hard but definitely not easy. Put a little elbow grease into the work and you should be good

Go to lecture and lab, if you miss one go to another lab. Lectures more in lab. Listen carefully because he does give answers. I didnt use the chem book as his lectures were thorough and hes hilarious. Study the objectives from his green handbook. Do the practice quizzes on canvas. Attend SI. If you put in the work, you will get an A for sure.

But I can say that out of the 8 quizzes he does drop the 2 lowest grades and there are 3 exams and in case you did bad on one of them he replaces the final with the lower score of the 3 exams. If I were you I will take him now if I had the chance, he's trying to retire in 2021.

Professor Reedy is an AMAZING professor! Chemistry is a challenging subject overall so to say his class was an easy A is a lie. Due to the way he presents the material, however, it makes learning chemistry that much easier and tolerable. His lectures pretty funny while also very informative. If you participate in lab, he'll round your final grade.

Professor Reedy made Chemistry extremely easy. I found the class to be easier online due to us having more time to study for it. If you put in the time and effort for this class, you will certainly get an A

Compare to other professor he is nice and answer your questions with the intention oh helping you understand the material. Yes you have to study hard to receive the grade you want but his lecture pretty clear compare to other professors and doesn't belittle you when need extra assistance. Drops lowest 2 quiz scores and exam score. Worth taking him.

This class was.. HARD! if you arent a science person be ready to struggle! But hes not as bad as the other chem professors. He replies extremely fast to any questions, and you can double check answers with him. Form a study group, take detailed word for word notes and YouTube certain topics to get clarification! Professor Reedy is amazing. I hated chemistry but being in his class allowed me to understand the concept better. He literally wrote the workbook we used to answer questions so it's obvious that he is very knowledgeable. I wish he would teach 1A/1B.

I literally cannot stress this enough, WATCH LECTURES AND TAKE NOTES. if you do this then you will pass. He gives examples on his lectures on how to answer his quiz/exam questions, so please pay attention and take notes. He does offer extra credit and will take off two of your lowest quizzes.

Hes a good professor and truly enjoys his job. His class wasnt anything too crazy but you HAVE to stay on top of your work. If you dont, youll get overwhelmed and the work will pile on.. then youll fail. I recommend getting into a study group (I did it via imessage). Studying with other students is what passed me tbh. Also.. TAKE NOTES.

if u can put in the work by watching the lectures, going to the zoom meetings, taking notes, and overall just understanding the concepts, the class will be not that hard. the test and quizzes are pretty straightforward just watch the lectures. this class is not for lazy people!!!

Overall, this professor was really nice. His homework aren't that hard as long as you put in all the effort because if you don't, then you'll fail. He replaces your lowest lab and lowest exam score, and drops your two lowest quizzes. One thing is you need to TAKE NOTES and use his provided exam and quiz reviews because they can help you.

Great professor! Some people complain that the lectures are long (and they are), but...this is a chemistry class...? Duh. You don't really need to read the free textbook to do well in this class, the lectures are enough. If you didn't pass, did you even try?
