he's what a teacher should be like. when was the last time you learned something in class???? yeah you have to study but he's fair and he offers help. you probably one of the ones that talk all through class or walk in and out whenever you want. you are the losers!

The best teacher I ever had. Really knows his stuff. Is hard, you have to work, but you will learn. So many losers at this school that it makes it hard to learn.

Prof. Simone is a teacher who makes every class enjoyable. He incorporates real-life situations into class and makes sure the lectures are not boring. He is fair while grading and easy to speak to. If you are looking to take a class and learn something, his class should be a good fit.

professor simone did a great job. i learned what i thought wud b a very difficult subject due 2 the excellen teaching by mr simone. some students were making it difficult 2 learn and difficult 4 prof simone 2 teach. nassau community college students r losers. if u want 2 learn this is the class.

Just because he wont coddle you because you cant keep up with the material doesnt make him a bad teacher. The fact that he doesnt curve doesnt make him a bad teacher either, you people are spoiled. Deal with it, you'll appricaite a teacher like this later on in life.

honestly prof. Simone is a awesome teacher. I had him for physical science and although im not the best at science, he made the material easy to understand and he was very helpful. Definetly take his class if you want to become more aware of things around you and also if you want a great professor :-) PS- Save the enviornment, buy a Prius!

He's an inpirational teacher to say the least. My major is now environmental studies b/c I took his SCI 109 class and it blew me away. He does a great job of incorporating the textbook material into his lectures in real life ways.

simone is an awesome teacher. the only one from nassau that i've actually wanted to have twice. he's very thorough and doesnt put up with nonsense from the cool guys in the back. he almost let me fight one haha. but if youre into getting mad at the US and homosapiens in general take his environmental class. cool labs, and a laid back atmosphere. but get your work done, pop quizzes are guaranteed. 10/10 if youhad to rate him.

at first, i thought he was ok. Once i got to know him, he was helpful. Do the work, and don't fool around. His tests are fair, come from the book. If you talk while he's teaching, he will not like you for the semester.

i had signed up just to get it out of the way and at first didn't care either way about it but when he started teaching us and using examples with planes it really drew me in more i loved that he didn't just stand in front of the class and drone on but he actually showed excitement about what he teaches which only made me want to hear more.

I learned more important life lessons in this class than any other class I’ve ever taken(no exaggeration). At first, I thought Simone was a lunatic and a pessimist. But once I left the class I began to see that he was right about almost everything. I recommend it to anyone. It is a lot of work, if you want an easy grade you may not like the class.

Okay Prof Simone is a straight to the point guy, but does go into A LOT of detail and discussion about Global Warming. Can be overwhelming, but he is very imformative. Textbook is Mandatory, bc his tests come straight out of it.

Totally opened my eyes to what's happening in the world around me. His classes never dragged and I was interested 100% of the time. I thought he was a FANTASTIC professor. The one important thing to note is that he is very pessimistic (subject matter can be/is very depressing), BUT after learning about what he knows you would be too!

This teacher was my favorite teacher I ever had at Nassau. He knows everything about the environment and he is just filled to the brim with information. I learned so much in this class, it was worth the semester cost for this one class. He is the most interesting person ever. I can not say enough positive things about this class, take it!!

Very interesting and informative class. He comes on a little strong in the beginning, but you do learn a lot about the environment and what the government doesn't want you to know, and it definitely changes your views on a lot of things. I would definitely recommend taking Environmental Science with him as the teacher.

Simone was a great teacher. The problem is that most of the students can't do six grade math. Can't read. Won't study, and cheat. It's pathetic. So they blame the prof. and make stuff up. I worked hard, got a good grade, learned a lot.

Loved the class, I wish it could have a been a whole year long. If you don't like reading don't take the class, and if you don't read the news then start because this class is all about interesting discussions. Bring something new to the table, it's worth it. 100% awesome

This past semester I took Mr. Philip Simone's eye-opening Environmental Science class. Simone is a briliant, intelligient man and his style of teaching is unique, rare, and effective. If you are willing to accept the truth about the environment, politics, and society, this is the class and the professor to learn from. -Don't follow the herd!

How could I describe a professor who has indeed met the expectations that were desired pertaining to the knowledge of our earth's environment, and the impact of human activity as a whole. Pessimistic perhaps as he has openly admitted, but straight to the point. Along with his variety of movies, lectures/text are exactly what will be on the test.

He is trying to do the right thing, I just wanted to be taught the facts rather than stories/opinions, considering Im paying for it. labs are movies. an easy grade if you READ THE TEXT. only 6 chapters and all good to know for political conversations along with environmental protection!

This guy is hillarious he's pretty chill his test are straight out the text just read it like three or four times and listen to his lectures for osme reason this man goes off on honey bees everyday but take his class! he really makes you think about how unnatural some things are and how much were being brained washed

Good teacher, very different in his teaching style. Only professor that really opens up your mind and the problems of the world. Read the text 2 or 3 times and you'll do fine. His dry sarcasm can get annoying and he's very strict about cellphones and being late. Easy class, only ones who fail are those who don't care...

This proffesor is amazing! Very easy class to pass if you pay attention and read the text. Very interesting to listen to and definitly opened my eyes about the environment. He really has no hope for the world and is very sarcastic but overall a very good proffesor i would love to take his class again. Probably one of the best in Nassau.

One of the best professors at Nassau! If you give him the chance, he will open your mind. He's opinionated, but also very fair and won't grade you based on your views. Class tends to get better as the semester goes on, when the typical disinterested students drop and the only ones left are the ones who care enough to pay attention and contribute.

I had this professor for environmental science. It was the best class I ever had. The guy is really smart and has a great sense of humor. You will learn alot and it's a low stress class. Just go to class and read the chapters and you will do well. I guarantee it will change the way you look at the world.

Had him for my Physics 101 class. He made the class extremely interesting and helped the class with any problems or questions we had with the material. Very patient and nice teacher who makes the class interesting and fun.

Take this class it's the best option for a lab science screw biology he gives 6 exams all MC. Just read the chapter he says you have to read & you will do fine. I took him during my last semester at Nassau I went from an F to a B just by getting it together. So I warn you do the reading come to class & enjoy a life changing semester with him.

Professor Simone is simply the best there is. He's extremely well-educated and knows his material. He's got some of the craziest stories you'll ever hear, and he's hilarious. All of his exams were directly from the book & notes given in class. I'd take his courses a hundred times over if I could. I highly recommend him to everyone! He's awesome!

Best Professor i've ever had at NCC, really makes you view the world differently. The exams are really tricky you need to know your stuff but everything is in the book. If you're looking for an easy grade and don't care about the environment and how you live this class is not for you.

Amazing Professor and a really down to earth guy. He talks about the harsh truths involved in environmental work, which made me like him even more. Not much Lab work and lectures cover more of the ideas and real world applications (both of which are on the tests!) of the information read in the text. Just listen, READ!!!, and think a bit, thats all

This is a class that teaches you about what is really going on in the world. "it's not negativity, it's reality." Professor is very knowledgable and more than willing to discuss any relevant topic in his lectures. If you're excited to learn and enjoy documentaries you'll love the class and hearing the professor's point of view(+ get a good grade).

Great professor! He makes this class interesting by relating everything to airplanes. The class trips are awesome! The videos that he shows are helpful in understanding the course. I really enjoyed his class even though i was always quiet! If you don't study or listen to his lectures you most likely wont pass because everything is on the test.

Great professor he's very helpful. The day before any test he will ask if there is any questions about anything and will go over anything you would like which is extremely helpful. His discussions in class are both funny and intellectual. You will need the textbook! This is one of those classes where you won't pass without it.

I learned so much from this class about the environment. Pay attention and take good notes because he doesn't put many notes on the board. He does do some lectures from the text which is great if you have a highlighter. Would definitely take again. Love the dry sense of humor!

Hes great. Take any noted you can but he only tests you on chapters straight out of the book. Don't sleep in his class he will call you out and probably fail you. A very easy, straight forward grader. All you have to do is read the textbooks. Took him for both Physical and Environmental Science. Would highly recommend if you want to learn what's really going on around the world.

Great guy, Go on his field trip! He comes off a bit scary but make it through the first two weeks and you'll realize he was just trying to weed out the lazy ones. Heart of gold and funny. Keep your phone in your pocket where it belongs and you will enjoy yourself. Also you might develop a phobia of planes either temporarily or permanently. cheers!
