Very good teacher. There's some complaining about his writing assignments, BUT there are NO QUIZZES OR TESTS!! What more do you want. Writings are mostly your own feelings and reflections. He shares great stories and it's a very free environment to do the same. Very open professor- great guy.

tirpak is great. the fact that i hate how much work he gives is shadowed by how great of a teacher he is. prob one of the most useful classes of my life - will use forever. a lot of writing (busy work) but there is nothing else to it. they're not "papers" like for other classes. theyre reflections - take it. ANYTHINGs better than a speech class...

I really enjoyed taking Prof. Tirpak's class. He tries to brighten every one's day, which is nice. He doesn't give out too much work and if he does... it's all easy. All he asks is that you pay him respect by showing up to class and to the meetings that you schedule with him. Overall, he's a good man.

Energetic, funny and nice guy. Reading the book is a must, but its an easy and interesting read. He does group activities to help us learn the material and we interact with classmates a lot. He tends to ramble. Theres no written final, just a meeting at the end of the semester where you talk to him.

If your lazy dont bother taking his class. Its not hard but he does give alot of work and the projects are pretty time consuming. If you skip alot you might not want to take him cause he gives important info in basically every class sesions.

The best professor i have had in nova. very helpful. if you are looking for a class where you dont have to do anything and get an A. look elsewhere. there is alot of writting involved but he makes it all fun. have taken him for 2 semesters. it'll be 3 this fall. i would take him for my last semester as well if he was available. highly recommended

He is by far one of my favorite professors, he does give a lot of easy assignments but if you just do them you will be fine! I would recommend this class to everyone!! he thinks he's hilarious and sometimes is. At the end of the semester he meets with everyone and pretty much asks you what grade you want! :)

No exams in this class, but lots of assignments. It was hard to keep track of dates things were due- but if you complete the assignments you will get a good grade. Buying the book is mandatory because the online access is required for everything you do in the class. His assignments help you pinpoint communication skills in daily life- very useful!

Great prof, still go to his office to visit even though no longer a student of his. No exams, lots of reading, blog entries, and projects. We had 4 essays each about 6 pgs. Attendance participation are mandatory. He has a strong personality so be sure to speak up. Group projects took up a lot of time. Great class, just be prepared to work!

I took a 6 week Hybrid class and the work was pretty bulky. He's a great teacher who's really passionate about the subject and very helpful to his students. A sense of humor is required (for me) and he's got that in abundance. I did the work and got an A. So can you! Attend class, get personal, and do the work! Good luck ;)

I hate public speaking, but Prof. Tirpak creates a comfortable atmosphere in class that makes it easier to present. He's a little slow when it comes to grading and he can give you incorrect scores so make sure you check them. But other than that, he's great. You do have to speak a lot, but if you follow the guidelines he posts on BB you'll succeed

Oh Prof. Tirpak. His teaching skills are good, tough grader he is... Bottom line, just do your work, show up, participate! Participation is always going to be used in interpersonal communication, so don't expect too much.

Classes are easy but most of the work is in online assignments and the 6-person group project. You have to complete all the online assignments, but Prof. Tirpak tends to grade more on excellence of performanceunderstanding than actual task completion.

Unlike most of my classmates, I actually enjoyed this class. It was super easy but interesting to discuss with others and the teacher. He does hand out a lot of homework though, so prepare yourself. It's all very easy though, as long as you set aside enough time for it all. His grading isn't hard so long as you read the guidelines.

Professor Tirpak does give out a lot of hw, but nothing no one can handle. Show up to class, and you'll pass all of your assignments. He doesn't tell you when things are due so you're kind of on your own with that. Hw is also very easy, 9/10, its always about your own life and your relationships!

I honestly enjoyed Professor Tirpak's class very much. He's pretty quirky, knows he's not the funniest guy but makes bad jokes and stuff anyway. He's a very understanding professor so if you're having a problem or have a question definitely talk to him and he'll help you out where he can. It's a lot of work but worth it.

I didn't like him at ALL in the first couple months of the semester but he really grew on me. The class can be boring at times but he's a decent professor. I think the level of difficulty of the class and the amount of assignments was on par with what college should be like. He does give a large amount of assignments but they are relatively easy.

The class is lecture heavy but he's very funny, outgoing and entertaining so it's durable. You do have to talk to your classmates and participate in the classroom. As a working professional, this class helped improve my verbal & written communications. There is a lot of work, but if you follow the grading rubrics & put thought into the assignments not tough. Professor Tirpak is passionate & knowledgeable about the subject matter. He makes the class a fun & professional learning environment.

This class was basically like a hybrid class. Most of the work is being done in google classroom. Homework was basically common sense. SO if you have common sense you will pass. He also is a goofy teacher and inspirational. There are group projects but that is up to you who you have in your group.

In terms of homework, while high in quantity, are (more often than not) extremely simple and not very difficult at all. Quizzes are online and the most important ones (most points) are open-note. As the course is communication, expect to frequently engage in discussions. As such, participation and attendance are both necessary.

If you and your classmates are kind and engage with him, it'll be a very fun semester for you. Lots of writing assignments, but he allows for revisions on essentially everything as long as you turn it in on time. The textbook is one that he helped create, so it's inexpensive and not filled with useless content. Very pleasant and relevant class.

HE is really good, its really saddening to see here a lot of students had bad experiences in his class but I can assure you that you're gonna get an A/A+ if you follow exactly what he says .

He's really a great Professor and is very caring about his students! It's a low cost material class and you will need to get the textbook because he uses it. You need to particulate in his class because he factors some of your grade into that. Overall he's really sweet and humble. Loves to teach and is a excellent teacher. He doesn't do projects!

Hes one of my favorite professors and he really cares about his students. As long as you finish assignments on time youll pass with an A+. The grading criteria is straight forward and he lets you revise your work if you turned it in on time for full credit. I did all the work on time and had a 100% in this class for reference. Take his class!! :)

Throughout this course, I wondered how well the course would do considering the pandemic and our switch to virtual learning but, Professor Tirpak is an AMAZING TEACHER TAKE HIM!!! Be cautious of due dates but all around he is amazing, caring and it is not hard to make an A, just focus, read and participate! Material is usual just get it done.

This class really helped e with becoming a more proficient public speaker and provided extremely helpful information and feedback on assignments. I highly suggest going to class for there are a lot of group assignments and presentations that need to be done to receive the grade you want. All around a great mentor and professor.

I can't say how amazing this professor for this class. Best Oral Comm class ever! Likes to say have a fabulous Las Vegas week at every class meeting is over. The only work you'll get that will be graded is the learning journal, and one project and a reflection sheet of when you participated for group work which is fun. I enjoyed his class. He is the kindest professor I've ever had. He makes class enjoyable and makes you feel comfortable. He acknowledges that we all are humans and not robots. The work is very easy and should take maximum 30 minutes to do. His grading system is based on how whether or not you put effort into an assignment rather than accuracy.

Coach Tirpak is a great person! I took the 2nd 7-week class over Zoom. Every week we had 3-4 discussions (most were completion grades) and they have great takeaways you can use in real life. In every class, we had presentations or discussions. Trust, presenting makes me really anxious, but you're always with a group and it's very quick. Take him!!!

He's an amazing coach, an amazing teacher, and an amazing grader. Although my attention span sucks, his lectures are very fun, interactive and he's very caring. He surely does give a lot of assignments but they're very easy and may take a bit of time. But otherwise, he was the best surely in every aspect.

Tirpak was great professor as he was easily accessible outside of class and had such a vibrant energy! His assignments are easy and there is plenty of time to do them. There are many group projects so make sure you keep up with the work load in your group -- there are also personal journals every so often and are supposed to be 6-8 slides!

Coach Tirpak brings an awesome energy to class every single week. He's also super flexible as long as you communicate with him. Just keep up with the assigned videos/assignments and participate in class and you can do really well in this course.
