Good professor, and I would recommend for this class.

Professor was such an inspirational instructor with many wonderful stories. I learned a lot in the past 11 weeks. I even replaced one of my other classes with COM201 because Professor Harris was such an amazing and very informative instructor.

Professor Harris is an excellent teacher. He explains the lessons very well, and I really learned a lot in his class. I would definitely take more classes under him if any were available. He is also a very nice and well respected person.

Professor Harris is a gifted teacher, a student's success starts and ends with his meticulous attention to detail and preparation for each class. Professor Harris was a very hands on professor. He constantly interacted with the students. You could tell he is passionate about what he is doing. Professor Harris was AMAZING! I sometime have a hard time with my time management with me being a single mom. He was always available, even when I was emailing at almost midnight in regards to an assignment. He was supportive throughout the class, pushing all of us to be great. I would take this class again but only if its with Prof. Harris.

Professor Harris is an amazing Professor! He's patient and gives time for students to make up work. Lots of speeches but pretty easy if you follow the outlines provided. You honestly get what you put into it.

Professor Harris ensures students understand assignments and will assist outside of regular class hours so that each student have all the assistance they need.

Professor Harris was very knowledgeable in the class topic, public speaking. He was able to drawing from personal experience and used real world examples in his teaching process. I enjoyed the class and feel much better prepared to speak publically. Professor Harris helped tremendously improve and get rid of my weaknesses.

The professor sends tons of emails so that everyone is on the same page. The homework maybe a lot but it is fun and it basically prepares for the next week. So if you do it early you are ahead of the game. He did offer extra credit at the end which I would do because it will add to your grade. Thats how I got an A+.

Exciting class and very personable. He helps with examples and encourages and motivates students. Although he changed the turn in date for one of our assignments to an earlier date (changed it from after Thanksgiving, to before Thanksgiving) we were provided extra credit and made my holiday break that much better. Up front and impressionable professor. Friendly and well prepared instructor. Knows what he's talking about and inspires his students to grow beyond their wildest desires. Course material is light but requires a lot of time and practice to master. This class will help you over come any fears you may have of public speaking.

Awesome professor. Very open minded on things and issues. Let's the students talk of how it is without any interruptions or censoring. He's also very humorous as well. Professor Harris lets the students debate, question each other and lets us have our speaking terms.

Professor Harris, is very flexible with work, he is very understanding about late assignments and relocation, Although, he gives a lot of work , it is very time consuming but very fun to learn about the projects given.

Prof. Phillip is a very good and active lecture that makes students understand all concepts of the lecture. So far Ive taken one class with him, and I would be more than happy to attend any of his future classes. Ultimately, I would recommend everyone to take classes with Prof. Phillip, because youll enjoy learning from his knowledge.

Professor Harris taught this course in a manner that was extremely understanding. It proved difficult at times but that was due to my own initial fears. As time went on, and because of the way the class was taught and how Professor had us interact with each other, I not only became comfortable but it also became less difficult.

Professor Harris really gets you to step out of your comfort zone and get in front of the class to give your speech presentation. This is the only way you'll get better, and Professor Harris really helps mold you into a better speaker. I really liked the structure of the class and how he went over assignments prior to having them turned in.

Coming into this class, I was very nervous to speak publicly. Taking this class gave me not only confidence in myself but the ability to correctly outline , prepare and present my speeches effectively. Prof Harris was very patient with me and gave me the tools I needed to succeed in this class.

Professor Philip Harris, is the BEST instructor for COM201. I had a lot of fears about public speaking. The way he presented the information was awesome. He went through each chapter with the class to make sure we had a clear understanding of our assignments. I had a few questions outside of the class and he responded within a few hours.

Professor Harris has been very inspiring. The course work was difficult, but his constant help, motivation and communication was impeccable. He was constant with reminders for course work completion throughout the duration of the course. It has been a pleasure to have him as in instructor. As active as Professor Harris is, he ensured that his students were well prepared while he was away, planned our assignment due dates accordingly and we were able to stay on track according to our quarter schedule. If you want to build your speaking confidence, take his on-campus courses. You wont regret it.

Professor Phillip Harris is very professional and down to earth with his students. He was very organized and prepared for every class. Professor Harris made sure that we were ahead of each assignment by encouraging students to work ahead and turn in assignments before the due date. He is an outstanding professor!

Even the few times he was absent, he made sure we were all in track and even ahead of schedule. I was skeptical taking the class at first, but Im glad I took his class and took a lot from it which improved my overall public speaking.

Professor Philip Harris is an excellent teacher. He knows this course inside and out, and his communication skills are outstanding. Participation in the class is mandatory, but above all else, his exercises in class emphasize group participation and coordination with speaking on varying topics in front of the entire class.
