Prof. Pappas is the BEST history teacher the college has. He does a great job at breaking the material down so the student "gets it". Every lesson is clear and interesting. If you show up to class, take notes, and study the guides he gives, you'll do well.

You can't find a better history teacher! He knows his stuff and really makes the subject interesting and "simple". His study guides are great. (take Ashby for english)

This guy is the man and a good teacher. He needs to get more specific into important facts that most history books wont tell you. Maybe use "A Peoples History of the United States" instead. But overall is probobly the best history teacher in UCC rock on

GREAT PROFESSOR! Take in-class notes and you will make an 'A'. His tests reflect just what he presents in class, no suprises. He even gives you a study guide just before the test and goes over it. He answers all questions professionally and this GQ dude has jokes! :-)

Papas is a very good professor. He gets you in to the subject and will explain things if you don't understand. Does not give homework, but does give a study guide a week before the test of everything that will be on it.

Very good professor and he knows his stuff. Also, very smart in history/geo. Gives alot of notes but some professors don't give any notes and tell you read the book which is dumb. Gives you a study guide outline and tells you whats going to be on the test. His tests are all true and false questions/multiple choice/fill in the blanks. extra credit!

I think this teacher is great. He knows what he is talking about and lets you know what you need to study for the test he gives extra credit and also gives you credit if you show up for all the classes great man.

I had Dr. Papas for History to 1865. There are no words to describe how good this professor is! He is the most knowledgable professor I've had so far. Very good! If you can, TAKE HIM! Amazing guy.

He is by far the greatest history teacher I've ever had. He doesn't give any homework. He just asks that you review your notes and read a little bit ahead in the book. Its not too much to ask. You get 3 tests and you know about them 2 weeks in advance and get a study guide with everything you need 2 know on it. He isn't really funny but he tries =)

Him and Roemer are the best, but recommend roemer if papas isnt teaching the subject, All you have to do is study the notes and the class before the test he goes over exactly what is going to be on the test. He makes History so much fun, he's very energic and keeps you wanting more. He's great!

This is my last semester at Union County College. Professor Papas was the best professor I have ever had. He is wonderful and makes the subject so interesting. He is really into the subject. I really didn't want to take history, but I needed a humanities elective. I am so glad that I did. I would love to take another course with him!

I Love him! He's the besttttt. he makes history fun and easy. all u have to do is take notes during class as he speaks; the test comes directly from ur notes, his tests are soo straight forward no trickery. he also gives 2 extra credit essays...DO IT...it helps ur overall grade worth 3 points each at the end of the semester. he's great! i mean i kind of like history but he really gets you into it. class discussions are encouraged as is participation. you're allowed 2 unexcused absences. he gives you all the notes, and the tests are multiple choice, true/false, and fill in. he's really good! don't buy the book! totally unnecessary!

He is a really cool professor! No need to buy a book, but pay attention!If you dont take proper notes, you can fail class. You have to stay awake, even if you dont want to so that u can get at least a "B".

Professor Papas is incredibly knowledgeable and interesting. He makes me love history -a subject I once dreaded. The class is lecture based with discussion throughout. There isn't much homework and extra credit is offered but you're required to take lots of notes for the tests. If he were my teacher for every class I'd have pristine transcript!

I have to disagree with other students that his class is easy. He makes class so extremely interesting it seems a little easy but his 3 tests are a challenge. The book is not needed but taking good notes is critical for a good grade. I'm actually really sad I'm leaving UCC and won't have the chance to take him for another class. He's the best

Professor papas was a good teacher, i didn't take good notes and it showed in his tests. If you pay attention to his lectures and take notes you'll be good. He gave us a lot of extra credit which is the only reason i passed the class. Attendance isn't mandatory but if you have perfect attendance, points get added to your final grade.

Professor Papas, one of UCCs many gems! The passion behind his lectures will make ANYONE fall in love with history. Hes a easy going guy and his class matches him perfectly. Show up to class and fill out the note outlines he's prepared, and you'll have a great study guide. Many of his questions are taken from those note outlines, look them over and you're set for his tests. The textbook used for my class was free and easily accessible online. He's a very knowledgeable man who gives great lectures.

Professor Papas is an amazing history teacher if youre interested in history. He lectures the entire time which could get boring, but he is very passionate about what hes talking about. You take four tests and he gives a few extra credit assignments, so if you dont do well on the tests make sure to do the extra credit assignments.

Probably one of the best professors you'll come across in your college career. If you have to take history, I would highly recommend this professor. I took his class online and was very content with his teachings. The exams are great, he'll give a review sheet and almost all of the questions from the review will be on your exam.

Such a great professor! All homework is optional and serves as extra credit. He gives you many resources to pass his tests which are the only grades that matter. I took Professor Papas for 201 this past fall, and I do not regret it one bit! He taught us history in a way that we students of the 21st century can understand! His homework assignments were optional, and exams were super easy. My advice; do his study guides as he lectures, and ask questions! If I need history again, I will for sure choose Papas!
