This teacher is a horrible example for the class content that she teaches in which is supposed to be some kind of business behavior/etiquette class. Poor example and long winded. Would not recommend her. Find someone more intriguing.
She is very strict with grading. Her assignments are not very clear. And she talks way to much. Expect to stay in her class for the whole 3 hours. I hear that the lab instructor first name Loni (male) is fun.

Very boring teacher and her assignments are unclear. Class could easily be over in 30 minutes but she keeps you there the whole 3 hours.
She is very boring, likes to ramble on and on. Does not give clear instructions on assignments, will cause loss of points. She is not a hard teacher it is the class.
She is really nice and willing to help, but very particular. Make sure you check over every assignment twice!
Unclear about assignment requirements, tough grader. Willing to help you if you ask. Very fair teacher, although not the easiest. A little long-winded.
Very good teacher, and very interesting. Also very fair in the grading, do the work and you'll do well. If you don't do well, it's your fault. I think she is really good. Take her!!!
She is not hard as a teacher, it's just the class. She is a very nice person and very fair in some aspects but can be a little unclear when it comes to assignments. Read the assignment requirements and you'll be fine.
The test is hard but not because of her-- Callarman rights all the test. She's a nice person but cancels class a lot for her convience and dont expect to learn anything in lab...
I don't know what she is like now but she used to grade on the "C" standard which means if you do perfect on a term paper or assignment she will give you a "C." The only reason why I passed is because she doesn't get to make the gradi
Has poor grading standard. Get on good side for grades. Don't go out of your way because she won't, and won't help the struggling.
Try to avoid Harris if possible. She is very unorganized.
does an adequate job with the lab. grading for tests is nit picky. the class is pretty easy otherwise; she doesn't write the tests. not always the most helpful. not really that much fun.
Labs with her are worthless. She spends the whole 1 1/2 hour lab going over something that would usually take 5 minutes. She is insane-(decided not to grade tests b/c majority of ppl did not HIGHLIGHT, UNDERLINE,or BULLET their responses to essay portion)
really nice teacher, sometimes unclear about certain topics though.
Tends to talk alot but she's very nice. Read chapters before class and you will do well on quizzes. 93% or higher and you will be exempt from cumulative final.
Very nice. Give's quizes that are straight from book. No major projects. Only one test at end of semester. She was great.
Many times she isn't very clear and she does ramble alot and can be a hard grader. However her class is not that hard as long as you stay on top of the assigments and the group project. I got a B so it can be done.
She genuinely does care the grade that you get however many times comes off very ambiguous in instructions for class projects and meeting times. Tolerable as a teacher but i'm certain there are better ones to choose from.
She thinks its an english class. Take everything to the writing lab. She grades fair but tough. I got a B but worked for it.
Has a lot of potential to use her wealth of experience with different companies but did not seem to. She talked about very basic stuff that I have already learned from my current job.Study from the start on quizzes-DO NOT miss class or you will miss60/730
Did not enjoy this class at all. Talks tooooo much about nothing. Cornerstone is her life, puts little effort into this class. Pain in the butt journal.
Talks alot about nothing. Takes forever to grade and return papers. Highly critical on spelling and grammar. High expectations, but not impossible and requires you to be self motivated. Stay on top of the project and spell/grammar check all turned in papers.
VERY, VERY strict on grammar and formatting. Actually strict in general.
Very Unprofessional, always late!
Although she is helpful when you ask directly, this class is a waste of time. It takes her 1 hour to ramble out what should be said in 5 minutes.
Very strick grading. Almost always late to class. Poor use of class time. Never reenforces any class material. Never talks about assignments or mentions due dates. Extremely ambiguous when she does.
She is always late for class. Not clear on assignments and due dates. Does not grade consistently. Grades harder on grammar than she does on content. When asked a question on a grade, she cannot give you a good answer. i would not recommend taking her.
A little off track but means well?Class is easy but some assignments are unclear. Quiz every class, get with a good team, Her lecture is monotone and could be more exciting. She knows that it is a general course but requires alot on the journal. Overall she is nice and respectable,do not overanalyze
Her ambiguity in grading assignments was unbelievable for a UCF prof. and when asked about how she graded assignments she seemed aloot and unclear. Think she lets her child grade the papers. If u like a teacher w/ grading consistency STAY AWAY! She should be teaching remedial english not cornerstone. She can grade the gramar but not content.
Not a hard class, frequent quizzes but easy- straight from the book. Lectures are boring but overall not a bad class to take.
She made this class as easy as it possibly could be. Very nice and cool teacher. She loves creativity and originality. Also makes cornerstone lab fun and entertaining!
I would rather slit my wrists then take this class with her agian. As mentioned in other reviews, she grades more on grammar than on content. You could write about sesame street and get an A on it as long as your grammar and spelling was correct. Also not very clear in assignments and due dates. Even if she is your last choice, don't take her!
harris is one of the worst professors I have ever had- she does not even grade on content, but on grammer.. her class is a complete waste of time, i did not learn a thing in her lab, your grade in this class will be based on memorization skills and grammer - not reasoning
Harris is a very good teacher. She does not put up with any work that is less than perfect only because that is how it is in the business world so if you dont like it change majors. Harris really shows you how it is.
She is extremely picky about grammar, especially commas. I rarely had any issues with my writing until I took this lab. It is like you can never have a 100% paper, she will always find some imperfection. I even took my work to the UWC and she still had problems with it. I mean misspellings I understand, but COMMAS?!
Greatest professor I've had at UCF! She is willing to bend over backwards to help you out; so friendly & genuine. You have to read the book to do well (straight from text, so clear), but I actually enjoyed the book & wanted to read more, which I cannot say about any other class I've ever taken. I'm a C student & I got an A with minimal effort.
She is not that bad! She is very picky about grammar. Cornerstone itself is a time consuming boring class. Her lectures are boring but she tries. She grades easy on the presentations. Harris really tries hard to be as fair as possible. Someone else said it already, but if you can't handle Harris, think about changing majors.
not a bad teacher, i read a few of these before i had her, but shes actually great. make sure to really proof your work and give more than enuf detail in asgmts. easy class to do well in.
Horrible teacher, 1st off in this class you need to dress nice, the women looks like she just came out of a twister. She does not understand complex sentences so she takes off points. If you contact her via email except at least a few days before a responce. she gives everyone a D if you work is good or bad. She looks crazy and she is.
Extremely picky in grading, as mentioned. Very willing to help if you make the effort to ask for it. Often takes 5 minutes to answer a "yes or no" question. This redundant rambling can make it difficult to pay attention at times. My other gripes are with the course, not the professor.
I think she is cool. She's a smart woman. She is very nice and cares a lot. I don't know anyone in the class who averaged less than a B on the material that she actually was involved in grading. Just make sure you edit your stuff. I wouldn't mind taking her again... just not for Cornerstone (thank goodness!)
She is a great teacher. She will really get involved if you need her too and is extremely willing to help. I would recommend her all day long. She cares about her students. She does ramble and is a little dramatic at times but she's a great teacher.
Very hard class and stressful. The teacher made me even more nervous. I didn't learn anything!
This class absolutley sucks ! Everything is point less and just makes you be a slave and learn all about what community service is about. Also she thinks she is a commedian but overall you'll get by. You cannot miss class so just hold yourself still while your ass is in the seat.
She is very nice and helpful. Very clear with her expectations and gives you good advice for future Business presentations. Grading might be a little hard but it prepares you for the real world. and besides... this is college people!
This teacher wasn't that bad at all. I didn't find her grading too picky as some people say. Out of all the Cornerstone lab instructors shes probably your best bet.
Awesome teacher. An A is almost impossible, learn how to write business-style before you do any assignments. So helpful when you have a problem, and in Cornerstone, you'll have your share of problems. Advice for course: start on the proposal in 1st week & concentrate less on the project (the class is what makes your grade). Take Harris & Good Luck!
She is nice, study for the quiz's because that makes a big difference in your grade. Overall, it was a fairly easy class. Essay exams arn't too bad, as long as u have a study guide. She talks a lot, spends a long time on slides, but u learn too.
respectable but, trying to prove something
She was always at least 5 minutes late to a 50 minute class that only meets once a week. She rarely finished covering the couple of things that needed adressed before the class ended. She was nice and friendly and seemed like an easy grader until the end of the semester. Suddenly she was taking points off for things she never stated in the syllabus
Easy material, but she gives you quizzes all semester (which suck) and her tests are ridiculous...essays. She does grade really easy, however. She's always late getting grades back to you & changes the syllabus a lot. Not so bad, not so good.
Pretty boring lectures, although she has the tendancy for being funny. Essay exams... know the meaning behind everything you write, she'll see right through it. In class quizzes, do good on these and should make a B in class.
She is a pretty good professor. She gie you quizzes throughout the semester. Does anyone know if a C- is passing for management majors? Anyways all in all take her. Really nice lady...
If you can take another professor DO IT. She makes it a whole lot harder than it is. I know it seems easy, but her test are HARD. All essay. She give quizzes every class. If the class is a 3 hour will keep you the whole time every single time. Don't think you will get out early. She says you will, but you won't.
Shows up 20 minutes late to every class. Looks like she went to hell and back every single day she's a HOTT MESS. Hard, boring, and MONOTONE. STAY AWAY FROM HARRIS!!!! Takes for every to get your scores and papers back to you.Complains how she hates grading essay's, but keeps giving essay exams. She wears bright red lipstick which is horrible.
Very helpful teacher on service learning issues but sometimes unclear on assignments with very picky specifications. I highly recommend.
Have you ever had a professor who keeps you 4 HOURS AND SPEAK MONOTONE. Well if not then meet professor HARRIS. She will keep u the full 4 hrs. Hard and boring. She is shows up late to every class. RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN FROM PROFESSOR HARRIS. PLEASE I SWEAR YOU WILL BE HAPPY YOU DID.
Lectures aren't bad, but she was always late and never responded to emails and was extremely disorganized! She changed the syllabus 2 times and was always cancelling class at the last minute...2 hours before class started. She changed the final to a cummulative and had told the entire class it would only cover 6 chapters! AVOID IF YOU CAN!!!
She's the only one who teaches this class I could find, so I took her despite the warnings. I swear her classes are the LONGEST 3 hours you could spend! It hurts, seriously. Then, we have the exams, essay format in the testing lab & they are HARD. I am doing OK, but did not plan to have to work so hard for this class. IF you can take another.
She likes to hear herself talk. She drags her lectures on, seriously spent about 30 minutes on each slide and it was painful. She grades you on your absenses and raising your hand in class. Her tests are long essay tests which she grades unfairly. She is horrible, I would never take her again.
She was very helpful to us in making sure our projects were successful. Her appearance is not great but she does know what works and what doesn't with cornerstone. She is also very understanding and just wants everyone to do their best. A good teacher to take for cornerstone
She never gives the assignments left up to guess work...bad teacher ;(
Professor Harris is obviously passionate about the cornerstone course. She wants all teams to succeed in their projects and is very helpful when needed. She did take a long time to grade assignments which made it impossible to gain experience for the next assignments. I would take her again.
Phyllis was not that bad. I am currently taking her Human Relations of Management class. She does have long classes and 2 out 3 of her exams are short essay questions. She helps you out because she gives you east quizzes (individual and group) and as long as you study the tests are easy.
Horrible. Always showed up late, never graded assignments in a timely manner, very unclear with instructions on assignments, gives ESSAY TESTS in the business testing lab. Also told me saying that I was exempt from my final only to email me again after the last class saying that I still had to take it because I was 3 POINTS AWAY!! 345/348.
Worst teacher I have had. Only one who teaches this class so I had to take her. If you can avoid...you should. Unless you like wasting your time and money listening to her drone on about pointless information.
This class was pretty easy and I didnt put much effort into it. The exams are essay format. She would present a brief story and you had to apply concepts and explain how they were present in the situation. Big sports fan and outspoken on her political views. In class quiz once a week worth 25 points. Then taken a 2nd timeas a group worth 10.
Had her for the lab. She is awful..all instructions and due dates are up in the air and can change at anytime. There is no organization in this course, specifically with her. It was awful but it's finally over. Dont take her if you can.
Unfortunately this professor is always late and unprepared. She takes up class time loading up the computer and makes free response tests from current events. You should read the book as whatever she says may actually misguide your study. Her personality however is cheerful but her grading system is atrocious. Her system is one of the worst in UCF.

Had her for Summer A, 2 multiple choice exams, 1 essay exam (which was very difficult!)Final exam could be dropped if u had a 93 in the class. There's a sign-in sheet plus group/individual quizzes, 1 group presentation. I got a B. wasted $ buying a textbook, didn't need it even though she said we would. study ppt slides & study guide. Good teacher.
Ended up using the book more than I thought. Professor is very knowledgable, though talks a little much. Beyond that, interesting class. Book is useful for the tests but not required.
Easy the worst teacher I've had at UCF. Never left time to explain assignments. Spends 30 minutes on 1st slide, then spends 10 on the next 4, never hits the last 10 or so slide that explain your assignment. No organization. Also, kept everyone about 5 to 10 minutes late every class. Unexplained assignments leaves students clueless.
Do NOT take her for cornerstone. Learned nothing except her personal stories. Does NOT answer e-mails at all (despite the fact). Organization is pathetic. Navigating through her webcourses is a joke and expect to learning everything about assignments yourself. Terrible.... Also, your events don't matter at all, just your paperwork.
She is really nice and enjoys what she does. Prof Harris is always in a great mood. If you study the powerpoints and study guide and do some reading, you can definitely attain an A.
Took her for Human Relations and she was AWESOME! Attendance is mandatory. The group project is really easy. There are 5 quizzes and you get to drop 1. 3 Exams, got Bs on 2 of them and an A on the Cumulative Final. Book was not needed, make sure to study the power point slides and you will be fine. TAKE HER!!
Took in the summer while working full time. COULD NOT HAVE HANDLED ANOTHER CLASS. This class is not hard, just extremely time consuming. Ms Harris makes it as easy as possible with her gracious grading.
Worst Teacher I've had at UCF. Very unorganized and dates constantly change. Very unprofessional, always shows up late and keeps students way past time. Would not recommend
I am sure this woman is a nice lady but she is not a good teacher. She is unorganized & she blames everything on webcourses. She doesnt specify what she wants specifically on the reports. Everything is a jumbled mess with this lady. She changes the date of when things are due IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SEMESTER. dont take her. prepare for a mess if u do
She is UNORGANIZED. All assignment instructions are unclear and contradict themselves on webcourses and she NEVER answers your emails to clear up the confusion. She loves to hear herself talk. Dont take her. There is no organization or structure. she changes dates to assignments without any warning. WORST teacher I have ever had PERIOD.
Aside from the fact that grading takes FOREVERRR, I really liked this professor. Unclear at times but if you keep touching base with her during office hours she's more than helpful to clarify her expectations. Her grading is extremely gracious and more than reasonable, got an A working full time-summer semester.
Nice and passionate professor but she is very disorganized. There are several versions of assignments on Webcourses which can be confusing. Also, for assignments she gives unclear expectations and takes forever on grading. An A is definitely attainable, just make sure you clarify expectations before attempting assignments to avoid point deductions
Very nice, helpful lab instructor. Class itself is time consuming but fun and rewarding. Work hard and you can get an A. Also, don't miss class!
This class was an amazing experience. Mrs. Harris truly cares about your success. I rated easiness a 5 because it's "rate your professor". The class itself is challenging and time consuming. Mrs. Harris was very clear on every aspect of this course.
Very strict about attendance. Good personality. Keep in contact with her throughout your project and she'll assist you greatly.
MS. Harris is an inspirational professor. She treats her students like adults and wants them to pass. Exams are straight forward. Assignments in her class are reasonable. She has a great sense of humor. The topics are very useful for your professional and personal life. Read the book and powerpoints and you will do well on exams and quiz.
Group fundraising project. You must attend every class or points are removed. If you particiapate with your group, submit all assignments on time and complete your events as you promised then it's the east class! An A is so easy to get if you participate.
Attendance is not required on lecture days, but you do have team posts and in-class quizzes (of which one is dropped). She takes FOREVER to grade things, and isn't clear about why points were deducted. 1 midterm and 1 final, final is cumulative but you're exempt if you have a 93+ after the last quiz. Don't buy the book, her PPs are from book
I had her for 2 previous courses and purposefully took her for my Capstone lab. Very funny, knowledgeable of modern business, and super helpful. Show up, ask questions, and pay attention.
Tests are nothing like study guide, and the exams are way too specific for the course. She also took months to grade simple assignments and was late to class almost every time. She's super unorganized which makes the difficulty of her exams even worse. I emailed her 5 times during the semester and she didn't reply to any of them.
I took her for Capstone lab and shes a bit disorganized but shes really nice and helpful. I would say a very fair grader also!
I have taken her for Cornerstone (although it is not offered anymore) and now this class. She is very disorganized, but she is a great teacher!! She is very nice and understanding! She makes everything easy and relatable, so take her honestly! Easy A.
Took her for cornerstone and wasnt bad so i took her again for capstone. She was way overwhelmed and took forever to return grades, we didnt get our first project grade until final exams. Shes a good teacher but disorganized, its a lot of leg work but not that hard for capstone, take her you'll be fine. quizes had to be done on scantron v. online
She is nice and caring for her students, but very disorganized and a VERY tough grader compared to other Capstone Lab profs. It also takes forever to get grades back. I like her personality-wise, and gives detailed feedback, but it takes forever to get grades back and lectures ramble a lot of the time.
Nice lady but terrible professor. Extremely unorganized, takes forever to grade things, gets distracted easily and will go on rants. She has no urgency in anything, her tests had spelling/grammar errors in 75% of the questions. Obviously doesn't care about how we do because shes very unwilling to help and will change things last minute. Stay away!
Took over the summer. Would not do again. She planned out a lot of activities to do but they fell through for various reasons(not all were her fault). Still made us do big reports on activities that had very little content to actually write about. Exams were full of grammatical and errors. Lectures were incredibly boring she just rambled on forever
The worst online class I have ever taken. Very hard to get a hold of when emailing not responding for weeks, having to stay 20 minutes after class for her to do her job and help. Not understanding of things happening outside of class. Talks in circles and doesn't have a point to reach then says she is upset with the work of the students.
