She has great notes. In order to do well on each test, study the notes. She does not use the book at all. Her notes are easy to understand. Even though she is dull and boring, it is easy to get a good grade.

I had a terrible time with PS103 with a different teacher, but Salmons is excellent. I only wish I could have taken 103 with her. DO WHAT YOU CAN TO GET HER!

She is very nice but strict and somewhat hard. There is no hw, or quizzes only 4 test and a final. So if you do bad on the test your screwed. Go to class, its boring but the tests are based on the class problmes.

Very nice lady. Teaches very effectively. Too bad she primarily only works the mornings. She is as easy as you can get with such hard subjects.

Physics was never made any easier! She can definetely make you understand the uses and concepts, so when you actually calculate stuff everything makes sense. Great teaching methods and policies. I love that lady!

She is the BEST physiks teacher that non/EGR students kan get here at riddle. she is the klearest of em all, dont get me wrong her exams are HELLA hard, but she preps you well for them. she isnt strikt on attendence but it is REALLY good to be in klass!!!

Probably the easiest physics teacher ive ever had. Just go to the classes, try to stay awake. If you do everything the way she says in class you can easily pass tests. Tests are sometimes tricky but not too bad. Never gives homework

She is the worst teacher I have ever had. She is very annoying and she doesn't explain her examples. I have an A in her class but its because I did everything myself. Shes just a little butterball that thinks shes cool. Her tests are impossible and grades unfairly. Take somebody else!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know what the last guy's problem is. Salmons is a little boring at times but, she wants you to learn. She will explain something all day long if it will help you out. I ended up with a 98% and never even opened the book once. Just go to class and take her notes. EASY A

Horrible porfessor, this **** needs a reality check. I think I learned more about her family than Physics. I've asked for help from her, but never got help. She tells you the first day of class to not call or email her. Take someone else if you HAVE to take PS 103.

This lady is horrible! Her tests are nothing like her examples and she rambles on about her personal life. She often makes class longer then an hour because she goes off on tangents and forgets about the problem. I would strongly recomend you take somebody else. I worked my ass off and only got a C. She does not help you at all.

NO HOMEWORK. No work required outside of class. Don't need to buy the book. Show up EVERYDAY, watch her and copy her notes on the board, show up to take her 5 tests and that's the whole class. You HAVE to study for her tests. Even that doesn't guarantee an A or B. But what the heck, it's Physics. I can't see how Physics can be any easier.

You WILL fall asleep in class, guaranteed. No work outside class, however being in class must make up for the work. Her tests are relatively easy however if you get a problem wrong you get the following five wrong. Not recommended.

She doesn't care if you go to class or not and no homework is given during the semester. But if you miss classes you will not have many change to pass her class becuase the test is based on her notes . Sometimes she doesn't post it online. I recommend her if you don't like to do homeworks and go to class everyday. Test are hard - study u will get A

Mrs. Salmons might appear at first to be boring but she is actually pretty alright. She jokes around alot but because of her serious nature, many dont tend to get it. She is AWESOME! A great teacher and very very nice. So charitable. I would definately recommend taking her. She doens't care about attendance. I have a A A-plus plus!

Don't buy the book. If she writes it on the board, it's on the test. If it's on a practice exam, it's on the test. Know how to do those problems and you will ace the exam. If you can't do those problems, you will not pass the test.

Better than Azeem and Aggarwal. Don't bother buying the book. The noted and practice test is the only study guide. Her tests are too difficult, does not help and complicates things too much. Most of her tests are opposite of the study guides and practice tests. Very organized but too difficult. Take Deheli for PS 103 and PS104.

Don't buy the book. Notes on blackboard and slides. Everything she goes over is on the test. CAN BE VERY BORING WITH HER MONOTONE VOICE. Goes over a couple formulas a day. STUDY FOR TESTS!!

This lady is really organized in her lectures. There is no hw, and that's where the good news end.Her tests are very difficult,and she could care less if the class average is a 67. You have to study a lot for an A, but its not impossible. The fact that she is good at explaining stuff helps.If she would make the tests easier she would be just fine.

Do not buy the book. Exam questions come from the exact examples she puts on the board only the exams have different numbers in them. Boring teacher, however, if you write down what she puts on the board you will ace the exam. Puts practice exams online and you ace them. No homework required for the class.

Easy teacher, not available for office hours. (well she discourages it) She wont allow you to email her either. Dont buy the book and the tests follow her examples on the board but the numbers are changed. Shes a pretty boring person and tries to joke but they just dont make a lot of sense

Exam comes from her class. Go to her class and take a note. you will pass even you are not good at math. Her exam is kinda difficult. However it seems easier than other class.

This teacher is easy. DONT BUY THE BOOK, because it wont help you in this class. She adds examples that arent in the book. This class is simple, it starts with bernoulli and goes up to electricity. If you come to class and take notes you will pass. If you need help the only time she is available is in the classroom.

I actually took her for both PS 103 and PS 104. I hate physics and suck at it, but I actually understood it with the way she taught. She breaks it down and explains it very well. Tests aren't hard, questions are very similiar to the reviews. Very fair professor and the only PS prof I'd recommend from the other ones I've tried (and dropped.)

I enjoyed her class because she taught the material well. She does go a little fast though. You don't get to use a notecard on the exams, so you really have to learn the material. I bought my textbook for $24, and I'm glad I didn't spend more money on it - don't buy it! She doesn't refer to it for examples, and her exams don't test you on it.

Dont even worry about going to class because she is a horrible teacher. She lies. I got a 100 on the final and she gave me a B. Do not waste your time on her. Not a hard class just a really bad teacher.

As long you go to class you should get an A, although she doesn't believe in the "no question is a stupid question philosophy", she will make you feel stupid if you ask something she thinks is obvious. Book is worthless, don't bother buying

This class is not really a class you can miss. She always talks about the people that miss class and how they're gonna fail. If you just come to class and take all her notes on the boards you should get an A. Also if you go online and try her practice tests they are very similar to the actual tests. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK!

Pretty easy to understand. She talks slow, which is a good thing so you can understand her. But it's also bad because 1 problem will take long to do. Not a class you want to skip; you'll just end up falling behind. Course material could be overwhelming. Not a GREAT professor, but one of the better ones the school has to offer.

Salmons is just like all other teachers of PS in Riddle. If you don't have a Physics background, you shouldn't bother taking her. She is not the best teacher, but if you show up to class you're guaranteed a D. I personally disliked her class.

The class is not hard to take because she doesnt require you to do much but sit and watch her work all day. If your not extreamly self motivated in the course then its gonna be very tough because it requires a lot of out of class work if you want to be able to pass the test.

Salmons is somewhat difficult. She has 5 test including the final. Attendance is not required but if you want to get a good grade I suggest you go everyday. Moves pretty fast so if you need help, get in soon dont want cause you WILL get behind. She is one of the best physics teacher in the PS department. No hw but take notes to follow for the test.

I struggled thru PS103. Thought this class was going to be hard. EASIEST class ever. She dumbs down everything so you can easily understand it. But go to class or you will have a difficult time.

Had her in 1983 and still remember her. I was horrible in HS physics and she told me why. My HS was trying to teach 11th graders organic chemistry. Had a bit of trouble in her class at first, but a some tutoring made me into a physics fan. I'm glad to see she's still teaching and wish her the best. If you have a chance to take her classes, DO SO!

Do not recommend taking this class. Very hard to pass. Tests are extremely hard. The way things were taught in this class were by examples of problems. I dont know how shes highly recommended. If you want to fail, take salmons.

She is really nice person. Inmy oppinion, if you study the questions that she solved in class, you will be good to take a class. She does not have homework, so it can be good or bad. She have 4 test and final exam and she is good but can be grade killer. Good Luck!

Salmons is EASY, but a useless professor. I was able to make an A w/o going to class except for tests. The book is a much better teacher than her. I wouldn't take her 8am class, she will put you right to sleep with stories of her 100 cats. Fun fact, she is on facebook, but only invites "celebrities" to be her friends, she talks about it every day.

Class was not very hard at all, her entire class period is devoted to doing examples starting from the easiest possible question to the most extreme that could be on the test. Attendance is not mandatory but i highly suggest going for all the notes and examples she gives in class. Show up and copy notes easy grade achievable.

Great professor and a nice person. She teaches as a lecture. Not much discussion or interaction at all. In teaching a new topic, she starts off easy and works her way up to where we need to be for the test. No HW or quizzes. She gives enough examples to study from. Tests are fair as long as you study and memorize formulas. Had her for PS103 too.

One simple word... USELESS. She is very approachable, but when she teaches the material, she constantly gets off track and talks about useless subjects. There is no homework and no quizzes, but the exams are very tricky. She gives out practice test for each exam, but they are useless because the problems are completely different on the exam.

Phyllis Salmons has been teaching here at Riddle since the 1980's. She only has 4 test in the class. No HW, no quizzes. If you want a physics teacher you can understand, then take her. BUT. She comes off rude, cant hear, and her test can be very difficult. If you screw up on the first test, then it will be VERY hard to get you grade up.
