Dr. Antolic-Piper's class was challenging but you learn a lot about philosophy and yourself. Put a lot into it, and you'll get a TON out. I didn't really have an opinion about philosophy before but I ended up loving it and seeing why it is important.

I honestly don't know what the other people are talking about?! She is super nice and it's not hard at all if you pay attention in class and go over the reading (and if you don't understand the reading then she'll go over it in class if you just ask). Some of the assignments are a little dull but it is not hard to get a good grade in the class!

An impossible GenEd. The readings took hours of annotations and lectures were equally cryptic. Pia herself is quite condescending, which was incredibly unnerving especially when one was putting forth a great deal of effort to decipher her assigned philosophical texts. Don't listen to those who claimed she wasn't at all bad - avoid her at all costs.

Phil 150 with Dr. AP is definetly not easy. However, this class is very engaging and interesting and the professor is very smart. There's plenty of extra credit opportunites: three EC questions on quizzes, EC for class participation. If you study, pay attention, and participate you will do great. She's also incredibly sweet and understanding!

Professor Antolic-Piper is helpful, but only if you seek out help yourself. She will not come up to you and ask you personally how you are doing in her class. You must go see her in office hours and attend the review sessions for the quizzes and tests in order to fully understand the material. Make sure you read all of the chapters in the textbook

Dr. AP is awesome and her classes are very interesting. There is a custom "course pack" as the textbook that includes chapters from many real textbooks. She places great emphasis on the material in the course pack, but the chapters are interesting and fun to read. She also cares deeply about her students.

Very kind and considerate, a pleasure to take classes with. The class material was rather complex at times but she always made an effort to explain things in a way the class would understand. Responsive to students' questions and clearly wants you to succeed. Definitely take her if you get the chance :)

Dr. AP is an amazing professor, very caring and provides tons of support. The material is tough, tho and attendance is mandatory (no phones!). She's very passionate about philosophy and really knows her stuff. Classes are argument-based (about a lot of current issues) and I appreciate that she's not biased towards liberals and very open.

Dr. AP was my favorite professor. She cares about her classes and her students, really emphasizing to participate in class (which you should -- it gives you extra credit!) She gets to know everyone's names as well. Read the textbook, participate, study well, and you'll be fine.
