Pich is a very good instructor I've ever met. This is the first time he teaches at Langara. He is teaching only Math 1171 and Math 1174. He doesn't teach Math 1170 yet. He used to teach at UBC and VCC as well. I've learned a lots from him. He is clear, friendly & patient. He knows what he is doing. I am so happy that I is in his class this term.

BEST PROF IVE EVER HAD IN POST SECONDARY. great lectures, doesnt waste your time/money, quizzes are easy as long as you keep up and GO TO CLASS... class notes extremely imp. helped me SO MUCH even tho i wasnt an enthusiastic student.. gives you random hints about quiz/midterms:) LOVE HIM (and his random jokes about his wife and weed).

Pich is very good prof. I never thought that I could pass calculus I. But, I got a B+ from his class. Every is clear. He is friendly, approachable, helpful, and understanding. He is funny with his Korean movies jokes. But, some students who did not work hard don't like his class and don't get his humor in his jokes. TAKE HIM!

Funny teacher, sometimes confuses the hell out of me as his language skills are a little lower, but he cares about the class and how they do. He understands the material but sometimes has a hard time slowing himself down enough to teach it. Overall a great teacher. I would highly recommend him, just take notes religiously and you'll do fine.

I love his class, THE best professor ive had in post secondary. Not sure if i'll pass the course yet since the finals not till couple of weeks. but his midterms and quizzes are straight out from texts and examples. Go to his office hour, he so helpful. Funny guy too.

Pich is a great prof. really cares and wants people to understand. He is really helpful in guiding you through which courses you should take. He follows the text book a lot, but DO NOT miss a class cause when he teaches topics they become crystal clear. An awesome prof. Funny, nice and an easily approachable guy. Too bad he doesn't teach 1153 :*(

He is a really nice prof. He will teach you untill you understand. He uses the text book at lot during the class, and the quizes are based on text book as well. However, dont miss his classes cause some question in the quiz are discussed during class, also, he will discuss the some similar questions that are on the test / midterm during class.

Go to every class ...understand the questions he does in class, and review everything before the midterm and its a guaranteed A. He is a prof who actually does alot of different practice questions...to make you understand the concept. Take him or belchev ....everyone else just svck....i got B+ and i svck at math

Go to class every day, do all what he says, and come to his office hours for helps, you will learn a lots and easily pass his course with a good grade. Plus, he is funny and you will not get bored in his class. I had been there and done that and got an A from him. Pich is the best!

Pich is awesome! With his good jokes in classes sometimes, he make Cal 2 more easy to understand than I thought. Very clear and know what he is doing. Go to class every day and do what he wants you to do, you will be fine and may get a very good mark too (I did). His notes are very good stuffs. Go Pich go!

Man, he is hard! But, easy marker. If you don't go to class, and you are really suck at math like me, you won't pass his class because he test you what he does in class not from the book. He is very good though. Go to class is the name of the game in Pich class. Nice person and very helpful and understanding. But, HARD.

Pich is the best instructor that I have had so far. He is clear and know what what he was doing. He patient, helpful, and understanding, but very funny. I would even marry him if I love math. But, I used to be sucked at math. Pich changed me. And I got A- over the summer taking his Math 1271. He is HARD, but, easy marker. Go to class is the best

Pich is hilarious. Humour is much needed especially for a boring, dry course like math. He's a top notch teacher and a very generous marker. His notes and examples are complete and they reflect what is on his midterms. A word of caution: the final was difficult because it was different from his MTs. I dropped a letter grade because of it.

When is Math easy? He's a funny prof tho with an accent! Math..you either get it or you don't...do lots of practice and u'll do well!

Great professor, gives straight forward tests. If you put effort and do the textbook questions AND attend class you will do fine. I failed my first time taking Math 1174, but got an A in his class =D! It's helpful to attend his classes! But he is a bit rude when you ask for one on one help :S so avoid office hours if you can!

one of the best maths instructors. Tells every key point very clearly. He didn't waste any time in the class. Try to follow what he said in class, attend every class and u won't have any problem. 2 midterms are easy, but u need to review the problem book and text book for the final.

Love his humour, makes class not-so-boring. He's nice + his notes + lecture are good, tells you ahead of time when you have quiz/hwk. Every 2 weeks = quiz/collects hwk. His quizes reflect on understanding from his notes. He posts solutions to tests/quiz/hwk in course files. Midterm = all written + difficult (maths is never easy:()

He is so funny! Bahaha...He's the best math teacher I've ever had! Quizzes and Midterms are fair. However, the Final is a little hard and unrelated to the course. So beware!

You have to attend class and do all the assignments in order to do well. He goes really fast but his lectures are very clear. Not the most helpful during office hours but if you need clarification during class, he'll try his best to assist you.

Can be hard to understand sometimes. Teaches calculus like everyone else. Some small issues with pedagogy, teaching things in a strange order. Generally explains concepts clearly. Exams VERY short on time so you need to practice.

Great prof. Notes r clear, he can be sarcastic n such, but he knows his stuff. He actually explains why certain situations cannot work in the questions. his quizes and mts are pressed for time, but if you go to class u would've seen em before. finals ARE NOT made only by him but fair. practice n go to class. if you do that you cannot fail.

Good teacher. But, he is hard on tests and final. However, if you do what he wants you to do and study, you have not problem. I got A and I am not good at math, but study hard as he suggested. HE IS NOT RUDE.

When i first came to class i thought it would be boring like every math class but pich told us funny joke,s made everyone laughed. i enjoyed coming to class everyday i just hope i can take his class again in the future. ended up with a b-.

I got an A- in his Math 1170 last term. His notes are nice and clear, but sometimes I didnt know what was going on. You need to attend class as he often uses his examples from here for exams to see who came to class

Hes a pretty funny teach imo attempts to crack up the class once in a while tests are fairly simple just practice the questions he assigns as practice and go over his notes and youll do good. i would take him again

Pich is cute and I really enjoy his jokes! His notes are clear though there may be some typing errors sometimes. He explains things quite clearly and his quizzes/tests are not hard. Make sure to attend class then you will be fine :)

I LOVE PICH!!This is my first time comment on ratemyprofessor!I really want to let you guys know how wonderful this teacher is!I took his math 1174 last semester,he is funny,smart?passional?willing to help.Sometimes he makes some jokes on women?but he isn't malicious.I really hope I can take Math 1274 by him but he doesnt teach 1274 this semester.

Pich is a very good instructor, he is patient, friendly, and extremely approachable. He loves teaching and it shows. If you take his class make sure to complete all the exercises in his notes as he often puts them on the exam. The midterms were tough but fair. Class average was quite high for a second year course (70+). Also, hes quite funny! :)

I highly recommend taking math1174 with Pich. He truly cares about his students. If you review what he has done in class, plus doing his suggested problems, you will get at least a B in this class

Pichmony is a very friendly & approachable professor who wants all of his students to do well. His lecture are funny & fairly easy to follow, however, if you have any questions, feel free to ask him & he will take his time to clarify your confusion. Study exercise questions from his notes for quiz & test (No surprise questions) & you should be good

Great teacher! I hate math but he made it interesting. He gives quizzes but lets you know about them in advance. Midterms were fair, final was a little easier (or maybe I studied better?). Super fair marker and is happy to answer any questions you may have. He provides his own lecture notes and examples. Pretty easy going, would highly recommend!

The class itself is tedious for some students, but he tries to make it fun by his humour. He is a decent marker and will give you marks as long as you understand the materials. But sometimes he could not explain material well for some hard proofs. It can be overcome by going to his office hours and he is really patient to help. Love his courses!

Pretty good prof. Hard class, but his notes and lectures are clear, easy to understand. Tests are reasonable. I am on my way to get an A.

make sure to preview the class materials. I personally found it is difficult to catch his lectures though he is very slow.

He is a fun and approachable professor. The proofs and examples in this course are hard, so make sure that you attend his lectures. If you don't understand, he will patiently explain it again during his office hours. He returns graded exams/quizes quickly (usually over the weekend). He might be one of the most hard-working professor in Langara.

Pich is one of the best profs at Langara. He is a bit slow when giving lectures. Sometimes, he is to easy with weak students - babysitting them. He's well prepared, never misses a class, comes on time all the time. His jokes are good. But, he is hard on people talking in class and late for exams. He allows cheat sheet. Take his classes.

Great teacher! He is good at explaining concepts and his midterms are fair. He doesn't give homework so a student can spend more time on the practice problems that he/she finds problematic or interesting. As long as you are prepared you will do okay on all of the tests.

Pich is great. He tells you exactly what to prepare for for the midterms and final. No surprises at all. He also uses humor in his lectures so calc aint that bad :D

Great teacher! Lectures are straight forward, but sometimes I found it difficult to keep up in class, since he kind of talks fast and his accent is a bit harsh. He doesn't give much homework, so you can spend more time studying, and the quiz questions are straight from the notes. The midterms are fair, and he tells you which questions to study.

Very good lectures, gets straight to the examples rather than theories. Exams and quizzes were based more from the notes in class and lectures, so study the notes first, quiz every two weeks, by far a well respected calc prof, only very few dropped out. Midterms are straight but finals were really tricky

I took Calc 3 in Summer 2018 with him. He is good prof. Extremely organized and on top of the schedule. He made the course much easier by providing us really detailed and compact notes. The exams are very fair, do more than just the suggested problems. Try to do the harder ones at the end of each sub chapter and you will be successful.

Most likely the best 1174 prof at Langara currently. Although his class is difficult like every other Calc class, he cares about his students and is sure to give out lots of part marks. If you only understand the basics you could still probably get around a 65%, which can't be said for some other math profs.

Pichmony sometimes is hilarious and his lecture is amazing. I have to say if you have a little knowledge of math, you would enjoy the class. If you are not smart enough to get what he talks about in class, don't blame on the professor, it's your problem.

Pich is the best Math teacher ever. He gave us handouts and clear lectures so it was easy for us to follow. Pich told us what materials were going to be on the quizzes, and exams. He doesn't take attendance but my advice not to skip any class otherwise you won't be able to know the extra exercises that may be on the tests. NOT a tough grader.

This is the first MATH 1175 class in Langara this term. The final grade depends heavily on your exam and midterms, quizzes only account for 10 percent of the final grade. No homework at all during this online term. If you still can't grasp the concepts, he is willing to give personal tutoring via zoom. Pacing is realllly slow during lectures.

The pacing is pretty slow so you might get bored because he really wants you to understand the materials, but he jokes around during lectures. There's occasional quizzes but they're not too difficult as long as you understand the lectures. Your grade depends heavily on midterms and the final exam. Just study and you'll be fine.

Pich really cares about his students. He is very organized, funny, and provides you with everything that you need to succeed in the class. You've got to study and work for your grade, lectures can be dry at times but also fun- it's calculus we're talking about so some stuff is boring but some are pretty cool. Anyway, I recommend!

I absolutely hated MATH1174. I took MATH1275 because I only needed it as a prerequisite for my degree. I found the second part of the course to be less engaging and a bit harder. But the course was not stressful and I am glad I took it with Professor Anhaouy.

Prof. Pichmony is pretty good, actually. He is tough, but fair. He makes it clear what he wants you to do in order to do well on his exam. No surprise quizzes or questions on the exam. But, you have to work for it; otherwise, you will not get good marks, but he will not fail you. He does not like cheating students and punish them hard.

calc 2 is not an easy class, but Pich is a very knowledgable prof who walks through the material step by step so students can understand. we had take home quizzes & he provided very clear & detailed outlines for exams, so we knew exactly what to expect. but, you always have to do the work in order to do well. wish I could take math again with him!

Pich is awesome, he is THE BEST math teacher I have ever had! His midterm is fair and he will tell the class EXACTLY on is going to be in each and every question of the Midterm. He makes jokes making the class light and fun. Watch his lectures and you will be fine.

Pich makes things very clear as far as what to expect on midterms and is pretty fair when it comes to grading criteria. It was unfortunate that he got fairly sick halfway through the semester and had to move to online lectures. Nevertheless, if you are going to choose anyone to take a math course with, choose Pich!

Best thing about him is that his content is well organized. The material is tough but you always know what to expect. Side note - he is very fun.

One of the better clac professors at Langara. His notes are pretty clear and so is the criteria; I personally appreciate that he doesn't just delve into calc right away or explain things in a way that only math geniuses understand like my previous calc professor. If you aren't particularly good at calc, I would recommend him.

I LOVE HIM. best calc teacher ever, his accent is hard to follow sometimes but he explains really slow and makes sure you learn, if necessary he will explain 5 times until you get it. He post his homework so you dont have to buy the platfom. Test are the same as lecture notes and homework, make sure you understand and you'll get an easy A with him.

He's funny and very helpful. Very patient to explain a concept if you don't understand. He posts his notes online and does all assignment (not graded) solutions online beforehand. Amazing prof. Do the assignments and attend the class and you'll do great. TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN!!!

Pich is a great professor and his midterms and finals are pretty easy if you do the questions on the lectures and suggested exercises because they're pretty much the same. No quizzes just assignments that you submit as pdfs and he posts answers as well. He has the lectures posted online both empty lectures & after they're done in class. easy marker

Pich is an excellent math professor. His lectures are clear, and he ensures students understand the material. Though the pace can be slow, it helps cement the concepts. unstuck AI and the free textbook are great study tools alongside the lectures.

Definitely cannot miss any classes especially near exams as he loves to give out hints for questions that can show up. His assignments help with learning the material but it's best to go over his notes on your own time. Best thing is that he doesn't use the textbook and instead prepares slides that cut out a lot of fluff from the book.

Show up to class and put in the work to get a good mark. He gives partial marks on exams and is not a tough marker! He does not do quizzes, but does assignments that have 2 questions. Would 100% recommend him!!

Pich is an amazing instructor! He really cares that his students do well. Calc 2 is not an easy course, but Pich makes it manageable. Study hard, do all assignments and in-class examples, and you have a high chance of doing well.
