Great professor. Answers emails and posts grades very quickly. He is always willing to help his students. Go to class. He knows who is there and who isn't. He will spoon feed his students with his test reviews. He does speak very fast so it is hard to keep up at times. Every class is entertaining.

Great Prof, I'm not a finance major but he really made it fun and interesting. You must come to class if you plan to pass, all of the calculations are from notes. If the class exam average is good (75-80) on both mid-terms, then he cancels the final.

Dr. De Jong is amazing. He is by far the funniest instructor you will ever have. The workload is fine and some of the equations are a little tricky, but then again, it's international finance. Tests are straight forward with 1 group project. I would highly recommend.

Attendance isn't mandatory during the regular part of the semester, but the material is hard enough that you need to go. Don't bother with the textbook, he refers to it for only a couple of problems. Tests come from notes and lectures. Go to review days. Pick your groups wisely for the final project. My group was on point which helped me get an A.

Loved this professor! We had 2 Exams and one group project. The project was really easy, just make sure to pick a good group. Difficult material, but the professor explained the material clearly. literally didn't understand finance and tried but you have to put in the work. if you don't study then you'll have to ride on the group project to help you pass. he's really open to you going to office hours and giving you help. listen throughout the class and read before hand if you aren't finance savvy or haven't taken finance in awhile.

Dr. de Jong is a wizard. This guy is a financial purist who will give you the tools necessary to understand how money works worldwide. He is terse to the point of mean but extremely colorful. If the teaching gig gets dry he should be a comedian. Bottom line, awesome Prof and you will learn, but don't expect an easy A, mostly C's in the class.

Interesting guy and very clear on what he tests you on. One of the best professors I have had when it comes to tests. Had them graded within the hour and no surprises or curve balls. if you study and come to class you will pass. Half of the test is online and half is in class. Don't let that fool you though, the material is still difficult.

De Jong is a great professor. He is very clear in what he expects of you and truly knows his stuff. He actually talks to you instead of reading off of a powerpoint and answers any questions you have. 2 test (60% online, 40% in class points) and a group project. Professor De Jong's was an especially refreshing and energetic course to take after being online for the duration of the pandemic. His lectures are necessary if you want to do well in the class, though if you miss one or two you can always watch them online. You should opt for in-person attendance though, he will make you laugh!

Exams have 4-6 essay questions, proctored. can only work on one question at a time. can't go back to correct prior answers easy to mess up. shows you how to do things in Excel which takes seconds but you can't use Excel & have to do manually.
