Great prof for Intro and for Criminology. Test questions are clear and fair. He is awesome!!!!!

He is very easy to understand and never makes the papers hard. if you can be given a capital punishment paper that is not more than two pages what more would you need. His tests are not at all hard. He simply makes life simpler for students.

Great teacher. Go to class and study the test study guides he gives out and an "A" is easly acheived. You take lots of notes, but for all the notes you take you learn just as much.

As far as Criminal Justice profs are concerned, Toggia is number one with Al Pisciotta. There is nothing I can say, excellent teacher.

Toggia is a master of his discipline. He encourages his students to learn the founders of theories, the basic tenets, and to apply the theories to real life situations. It is not merely a fact dump. He is very easy to talk to and understand, and appreciates when students engage him in debate.

Easy as hell, gives a review sheet nothing else on the test except for study guide and class notes. Sometimes hard to understand in class but he covers what you need to know, 88 96 94 98 are my tests so far.

This guy is a great teacher! I was suprised at how easy he made class. He knows what he's talking about, and is more than willing to explain things a couple of different ways if you don't understand. He's also very nice in and out of class. He always says hi if I see him around campus.

I liked Dr. Toggia. If you take his classes make sure you sit on the far side of the room b/c he uses the overhead a lot and always stands in the way. Make sure you study for the exams and you'll do fine. He's a cool guy and I recommend him to anyone.

Good prof. smart, organized, and cares about his students. Class can become very boring. Everyday you sit in a dark room and copy around 2 pgs. of notes. Tests are fair - always make sure you know the names of the ppl you are studying. Book is helpfull but you can get by with out it.

Took him for most of my CRJ classes. He's also my advisor! Great man! Very helpful and understanding. Take good notes and see him regularly if you have concerns and you'll be fine! A little hard to understand but he's a great professor!!

excellent teacher. Show up to class and study good for his tests. Remember the names of the scholars he mentions in class because they will be a big part of the multiple choice tests. He is VERY good at making a multiple choice test by the way. Show up to class for the random in class assignments and you will do good.

I have him for criminology right now, I love him. His classes are brilliant, you can tell he loves his job and his students. Always tries to make things interesting and fun. He gets really excited and loves when students interact. Show up and write notes, you'll love his class too. I haven't missed a class yet and have no urge to skip. He is great!

Excellent teacher! He cares about every one of his students even if you arent a straight A student. I would recommend him to any CJ major. Dr. Toggia is one of the few teachers that make this a respectable University. Take him any chance you get. He is NOT an easy A, but passing his class isn't too hard because you will actually learn something

Very intellectually sound professor. I really enjoyed his class this semester. If you study thoroughly tests will not be an issue. Book is more of a point of reference, not needed for class.

I really enjoyed Dr. Toggia's class. The tests are easy as long as you study and pay attention to his powerpoints. Attendance is very important, missing a class can back you up, and missing powerpoints will affect your test grade. Overall he is a very good professor, has easy test, and is not boring.

As a CJ major I find this class very fun. Lectures can be fairly long sometimes but its not horrible. If you take notes from the powerpoints and read the book you should pass fine.

The BEST professor for CRJ!!! Only has test but the test are VERY straight forward. Classes are very interesting. He does not post powerponts so you should come to class. I will defiantly recommend and take him again and again!! If you need help he will help you out. He loves when students participate in class.

He was very helpful from day one. I suggest you read the chapters, they are not long and they were pretty interesting. It will make a difference in your test grade. He did his best to keep everyone's attention but college students like to sleep some days. He was funny and I would have him as a professor again any day.

Awesome prof, he knows exactly what he's talking about and how to teach it. If you're unclear about any materials he'll happily go back and answer any questions you have. Also points out exactly what will be on exams and quizzes. Lectures are also really interesting.

Toggia is the best, hands down. He is so passionate about CrimJ and it makes the class so interesting!! His lectures are long and heavy but he makes it so captivating that I can honestly say that I was worth the hour and 20 minutes. His tests are easy if you understand what is going on but he makes sure you do. TAKE HIM!!!

Professor Toggia is hands down the most passionate professor in the criminal justice department I have had so far. He has a big heart for what he does, he really cares about his students. Tests are simple, there are no curve balls. Didn't use the book once. Tests are lecture based. Would take again 10/10 recommend. Go to class & take notes

Professor Toggia is one of the best professors in the criminal justice department. You don't need the book, all the information on the test is from lecture. He gives 5 quizzes and 4 exams. Exams are pretty easy. He is passionate about his work and makes class super interesting. overall, I would recommend taking him.

Class is easy if you go. He teaches in powerpoints but he doesn't post them on D2L so you need to go to class to see them. He has 4 multiple choice tests and 5 fill in the blanks quizzes. As long as you follow the lectures, they'll be easy. Never bought the book. He did an extra credit quiz on the last day.

Senior Seminar is no joke, regardless of professor. I think he is probably the best professor to take it with. Follow directions, ask questions, and do the work and you will pass! He understands life gets in the way sometimes but you have to be honest with him. Class is only once a week, so no crud you should show up.

Great professor, his lectures are pretty entertaining for a MWF class at 9:00, he's great at what he teaches considering he's been doing it for 10 + years. He's always accessible outside of class if you need help but other than that, tests are normally easy if you pay attention in class, read the textbook minimally and take notes.

Absolutely loved him. I had him at 9am MWF and loved coming to class, lectures were really easy to follow along with. Quizzes and tests are mainly on the notes taken during class. Some of the material on exams are also from textbooks, it's good to read over the chapters. He was super caring and always answered questions, would definitely take again

i had Dr. Toggia for intro to criminal justice and he was one of the best professors I've had so far my freshman year. His grading was clear and it was easy to understand what he expected. He was very nice and was easy to talk to outside of lectures. If you take good notes and pay attention youll be okay!!

Dr. Toggia is a great professor. As a non-criminal justice major, I can say he made taking a general elective fun and interesting. I looked forward to going to his class and really enjoyed his way of teaching. The class is very lecture heavy and he doesn't post his lecture slides anywhere; You need to show up to class to do well.

Dr. Toggia is great. The class is not hard if you show up and take notes, you know, like you are suppose to. Tests are based 100% on the notes, dont buy the text. That being said, if you skip, you WILL fail. Easy pass if you just pay attention.

Dr. Toggia is such a phemonenal person, professor, and advisor. I took a few of his classes, the guy is just amazing. If you think the whole class needs another graded assignment or quiz to boost grades, he is super understanding and will most likely say yes. If all professors were like him, students understand the material and concepts in class!!

This class is very easy in my opinion, the concepts are based on logic and common sense. He teaches very well, gives a lot of detail and his slides are whats gonna be on the test. He gives homework assignments that are very easy and are used for studying for the test, also quizzes on fridays that are based on the chapters with only ten questions.

Dr. Toggia is a great professor. I'm taking CRJ 175 now and he's just a great professor all around. As along as you show up, study, pay attention then you'll get a good grade. Dr. Toggia cares about his students.

His power points made the weekly quizzes an easy A. His lectures were informational and easy to follow. He seems to enjoy teaching and knows his stuff. Class isn't mandatory but you wont get the slides otherwise. There is a quiz almost every week, 5 straight forward video assignments, and 4 exams

I loved the way Dr. Toggia had set up class despite giving lectures online during a pandemic. I have the upmost respect for Dr. Toggia, he is understanding and provides good information not only for class but life as well. He is a true inspiration

Toggia is very lecture heavy, but he is very personable and kind. His work in class is mainly note taking and his exams are based on notes you have taken, so if you miss a class you might have trouble with that section of the exam. He does not randomly call on anyone, but he appreciates participation

Professor Toggia is a great professor & you can tell he really cares about what he is teaching. He was super understanding if his students were struggling, and if we had a quiz we were struggling on, he would help us and make it open note. Make sure to pay attention to the lectures and take notes & you'll be fine!

This is the second time i have had this prof and i love him. Hes laid back and will not call on you ever. tests are mostly online and he gives the required class time to do it. he answers emails quick and is always willing to open office hours for you if you need the extra help. He does not do study guides. tests reflect the notes you take

4 Exams including the final 10 quizzes and 10 assignments all very easy. Just pay attention in class and you'll do fine.

i love prof toggia. I have had him so far for 3 years for classes and will always take him if i can. lectures pretty much reflect the exams and quizzes. if you just pay attention in class you will pass with flying colors. He always encourages going to his office hours if you need more help. doesnt call on people in class

Fantastic Instructor who takes his time to help students through his work and is always clear and concise on what he's teaching. His methods for teaching are good, and he makes classes fun.

I loved taking Professor Toggia's class. Make sure you show up to every class because reading the book will get you nowhere. Everything you need to know will be talked about during class and PowerPoints aren't posted. Good thing is if you listen and write down most things you pass the exams. They are straightforward and he doesn't try to trick you.

Toggia is a phenomenal professor; I have him in his Ethics in Criminal Justice course. He is extremely engaging, entertaining, and gives insightful analogies and applicable information regarding his lecture content. It is well worth taking his courses; he is an excellent professor.
