I had no interest in Middle Eastern Studies before her class. Pinar makes everything so interesting and gets you to think critically about important issues. She's so nice, understanding, funny and beautiful! One long paper, final, lots of readings. Definitely take her, you won't regret it. She's the coolest professor at Ramapo!
She is probably one of the best teachers I've had so far. Very helpful and would definitely take her again! Take her for any class she teaches!!!!
Pinar is AMAZING. Her enthusiasm for her work gets everyone interested in the class material. She's so helpful,so nice and such a great teacher. Do the readings, participate in class discussions and you'll be fine! I highly recommend taking her for any class she teaches, you won't regret it! Pinar's the best professor I've had at Ramapo!
She is awesome! She is one of the sweetest and nicest professors I met in Ramapo. There is one 12 page paper and one presentation. It is not a boring class, and her way of teaching gets you in the mood of learning. Definately take her, you won't regret it!
One of my favorite teachers at Ramapo. Very down to earth and simplifies the material for students. She's quite the looker too!
I had Pinar for my first year seminar class and she is AWESOME!! She is so interesting. I am going to take EVERY class she teaches! Even if you dont have the same opinions as her she grades you fairly. She also does not grade on the English language much mostly that you understood the topic. She is fair and i highly reccommend her
she is really nice and helpful. For tests she doesn't try to trick you. Her tests are normally 2 or 3 essays, but they are pretty easy, because if you have the smallest information to back your essays up you will get a good grade
Pinar's AWESOME! Take any class she teaches, you will not be disappointed. She's really into her stuff and she gets you interested too. There's alot of reading but she's a fair grader in the end.
Thanks to Pinar, I gained a new perspective in reading history! :) Never miss her classes.
I really liked Pinar's Women in ME class! She had lots of interesting readings and the discussions in class were engageing. We saw some films that were good because it put a face on the subject. I highly recommend Pinar's classes. She's one of the nicest professors at Ramapo and she cares about her students.
An amazing teacher! Her classes take a little effort to get into, but once you do it is so worth it. Pinar has a knack for making faraway cultures relatable and long-dead figures interesting. Her Women in the Middle East class is really eye-opening and makes you think. Plus she's always willing to help out a student any way she can :)
I typically hate history but with Pinar I actually appreciated it. She is the best and such a sweetheart. For tests she gives you the questions prior so all you have to do is study that and an EASY A awaits you.
pinar is awesome one of the nicest people you will ever meet and she really cares about the subject matter. she is also one of the easiest teachers you will ever take. if you pay attention in class and take notes during the review session you will walk with an A and a great understanding of the subject she is teaching taker as many times as you can
Pinar made a subject I had little interest in fascinating. She is so into what she teaches, and really cares about her students. Very kind, and wants her students to be successful. I cannot wait to take more of her courses.
I had Pinar for World Civ II and Women in the Middle East. She's definitely one of the best teachers I have had. Her classes are really well-put together and you learn a lot. In World Civ, even though the topics had been covered in other classes, I got a much better picture of how the world was back then. Pinar's also very sweet & approachable.
I have had her for Arabic Hist. and Women in the Middle East. She is great! Take her if you can!
Pinar is a wonderful lady. She teaches history in such a way that it's like a story.. and it's easy to understand. She doesn't take attendance, but she's not stupid- she knows people's faces and if they show up or not. There's 3 assignments all semester- Midterm, a Paper, and a Final. Take her!
Pinar is an amazing professor for anyone interested in Middle Eastern studies. She brings to class a unique perspective and enjoys teaching her students about the culture she comes from. She is very flexible when it comes to assignment due dates and grades very fairly.
Doesn't take attendance but your notes will get you an A on exams. Exams are STRAIGHT from the studyguide. Lectures from powerpoint (NOT posted online) She is SO nice & young! EASY class. Readings not necessary & information is not specific. DEFINITELY TAKE THIS FOR HISTORY REQUIREMENT! 1book review (book of your choice)&3 minute presentation on it
Pinar is very nice, patient, encouraging, sympathetic and interesting. No textbook for this class; she posts the readings online. Lots of cool films! You get to share your thoughts in two papers and a final exam. The end of year debates were really fun too! I hope to take another class with her before I graduate!
This course is quite easy and is likely a good choice for someone who is not interested in taking a comprehensive course; however, if you are a history major, this might not be the best option for you. Assignments are very simple, but the lectures are forgettable and you will likely leave the course feeling like you have learned very little.
Honestly she is great. So sweet, very easygoing. For world civ II you only write one ten page paper and present on it. She doesn't typically take attendance but worth it to show up. Lectures are interesting, and she bases the essays for the midterm and finals off of her lectures.
Amazing teacher, so sweet and cool. Watched a lot of inspirational and intriguing movies about women in the middle east, loved every film! Easy going and cares about her students. Would ABSOLUTELY take her again. Best class!
Pinar is so cute! She's truly passionate about her classes. She's very sweet and always there to help. Lets you out early. Easy midterm and final & 1 ten page paper. TAKE HER!
Each class is basically a lecture, based exactly off of the PowerPoint. While attendance is not mandatory, attending is essential as the exams (only midterm and final) are based exactly off of the PowerPoints. There is no need to read as the study guides are based off of the PowerPoints too. She respects her students and values their thoughts.
She is so easy and sweet!!! Midterm, CEC (1-2 pages), Book Report (8-10 pages and presentation) and a final. You do not have to show up to every class. She gives a powerpoint or movie each class. The powerpoint goes by fast so be prepared read fast. DONT BUY TEXT BOOK!
The best Professor i have had. Hands down! I took last semester and i will be more than happy to take once again in my future semesters. She really wants her students to understand the material even though it is not insanely difficult. Funny and sweet Professor. By all means, take her as often as you can before her classes fill up :)
great class, take a lot of notes but no homework. Only midterm and final but they're extremely easy and in essay form that she goes over the week before. Lets you out usually 1o minutes early. was a good interesting class for a possibly very boring topic.
She's one of the nicest professors I have ever met. She's understanding and cares about her students so much. When she gets frazzled you do too because she's that nice of a professor you feel bad and want everything to go in her favor. In World Civ 2 theres not many assignnments and she makes it extremely easy to understand.
Extremely easy class. two tests where the essays were given in advance. Kayaalp is a very nice lady who wants to see her students do well. I'd take her again if I could... don't buy the textbook you don't need it or use it
Pilar's world civ II was by far one of my favorite classes. She really knows what she's talking about. Pixar cares for the students so much she's always their for students during office hours and always willing to work with you. Absolutely recommend!
Easy class to pass. But she grades you based off of what she thinks you look like you deserve. Doesn't actually read the final and paper. Also if you try to contact her about your grade she will avoid you and not answer, so thats not very professional. Pretty annoyed with her
Pinar is such a sweet lady and really cares about her students. For World Civ II, there was no midterm and four tests where you knew the essay prompts ahead of time. The final was then a book report on a book of our choice. She really wants all of her students to do well. Definitely recommend taking her!
She is very funny and i don't mind waking up at eight in the morning to go to her class. She makes it fun and interesting.
Great Professor. She makes learning History fun, even if you hate it! Do't be afraid to take World Civs 2, you can take it without World Civs 1. Tests are essays about any of the lessons she talks about, you pick which one you want to do. If your class does well, she'll get rid of some tests and/or the final.
Professor Kayaalp has been a mentor throughout my graduate studies. Consistently positive and encouraging, she helped guide me through difficult moments when I was tired and ready to give up. Her support and guidance has helped me achieve a great deal professionally. Rare to find a professor who truly cares as much as Professor Kayaalp.
she is a great Professor, she talks about the world the way it really is. If you have a question, she is always there to help. I recommend her for any class at Ramapo
As a chemist history has never been my thing, but Dr. Pinar Kayaalp made it my favorite class this semester. Furthermore, I am not a morning person, and I was happily going to her 9am class. The timeline and the context of her class are amazing, the lectures are extraordinary , and she is such an inspirational speaker. Definitely recommend!
She is so awesome! Took her for Islamic Art and Architecture mostly due to how it fit my schedule but I'm SO GLAD I took it and found her! She teaches so well and is so understanding. Easy and fun class
She is very passionate and knowledgeable about the subjects she teaches. There are only three essays where you get to pick the question you write about. I definitely recommend taking her class.
Pinar Kayaalp's class was fantastic. She outlines all of her lesson plans and Quiz dates on the syllabus so you know what is coming. She is an excellent lecturer and presenter. All of her lectures were extremely interesting. You can tell she really enjoys teaching history. If you get a chance, you should definitely take her class.
Pinar is an excellent Professor. She rarely hands out homework assignments, but be prepared to do a lot of note taking in class. Grades were comprised of three in-class essays. Pinar makes the class very practical and straight-to-the-point so that her pupils will remember the information taught.
This is the most genuine professor that you can possibly take at Ramapo. She truly cares about her students' success and always makes her lectures very interesting. Although she holds her own opinions about controversial topics, she always remains neutral. She's more interested in hearing her students' opinions. She is super respectful and kind.
she is amazing. never takes attendance and only grades three tests. there is also no (official) final
She is the best professor I have had here at Ramapo college. She always makes her lectures interesting and makes sure every student understands the concepts. She is so genuine and sweet and incredibly intelligent and will 100% give you the grade you deserve.
One of the best Professors at Ramapo College. She is very sweet and intelligent. I really learned a lot from her class. Take her as an elective, and especially if you're a History Major.
She is the nicest professor youll probably ever encounter, a gem. Really wish more professors were like her, learned a lot without an insane amount of pressure with assignments. Show up to her lectures and express effort!! Shes pretty cute too.
She is the sweetest professor I've ever had and is such a mom. History is not my strongest but I enjoyed her class and lectures. I would take her class again and I don't even like history.
Professor Kayaalp is such an amazing professor. She really cares about her students & puts so much time into what she presents us. She inspired me to push myself in that class. She's so funny & will always get you to laugh, which is difficult for an 8:30 class, but she really is such a mom that cares so much about her students & their learning <3
Pinar is the absolute sweetest. She genuinely cares how her students do. She allows for extra time if needed and does everything within reason, taking into account the needs of her students.
Best professor at Ramapo College.
Pinar is an amazingly genuine professor who cares about the success of her students. She is very understanding and her lectures are very engaging. She is always available during her office hours and is willing to help students understand and clarify topics if needed.
Professor Kayaalp is one of the best instructors that I have ever taken. Her lectures are incredibly interesting and coalesce complicated topics such as international events into something very manageable. There is only a few papers, so you really have time to research thoroughly instead of cranking out a lot of papers with minimal time for each.
I took Professor Kayaalp for World Civilizations and again for Women in Middle Eastern Societies. She is an excellent lecturer who loves to incorporate very entertaining movies into her class. Her grading is very fair and reasonable. I would highly recommend taking her if you have the opportunity.
I had Professor Kayaalp for Islamic Art and Architecture and she was always accessible via email despite the class being conducted remotely. There were three assignments including the final and for each, the directions were always made clear. I would definitely recommend this Professor and hope to have her again in the future.
Professor Kayaalp genuinely cares for both her subject and her students. I had her for Islamic Art and Architecture this semester. Even with COVID going on, she was happy to sit with me through Webex and help wherever she could with my Final Essay. She gave me the time I needed for projects and usually responded to emails within a day.
Professor Pinar is the nicest professor I have had so far at Ramapo. She is an easy grader and the class is very easy to pass with an A. Out of all my classes this was the class I was the least stressed about due to her clear grading instructions and her accurate following to the syllabus.
very good professor overall
The class consisted of 3 projects all due at the end of the course. There were weekly lectures. The assignments were 2-5 pages and not hard. But there were unfortunately no directions or guide. At times I was confused. However, Professor Kayaalp is one of the most liked teachers at Ramapo. She is kind, caring, and doesn't overwhelm students.
Professor Kayaalp is super understanding and kind. She is an excellent teacher and I would recommend her to everyone. Her class mainly consists of a few essays and a bunch of readings. Its an easy A if you get the essays in on time. I would definitely take the class again.
Professor Kayaalp was so nice and an amazing professor. She helped you if you needed it and made sure you understood. Her assignments were interesting. Take her if you have the chance!!
Pinar (she lets students call her by her first name) is an AMAZING professor! She is out-of the box when it comes to learning. Unlike the traditional college professor, she genuinely prepares students for grad school work. Her class is modeled in a grad school format which is less time consuming, but just as fun. You wont regret taking her class!
Even though the semester was online due to the COVID pandemic, Professor Pinar gave straightforward assignments for my Modern World Civilisations class. She also gave a lot of flexibility in choosing your own topic for each assignment, which I personally loved. Overall, it was a great experience and the work didnt feel overwhelming at all.
Professor Kayaalp is super chill and understanding. She empathizes with students in times of the pandemic and has been very easy to talk to. Totally recommend, 10/10
Professor Kayaalp is truly amazing. I had her for Arabic History. While your final grade is based on two essays, she provides excellent feedback and makes the process less daunting. Highly recommend ANY of her classes.
Took her for Modern World Civilizations. We never met up for class. There was readings she put up on canvas but you did not have to do anything with them. All you had to do was write 4 papers in total. That was the only thing she graded. She held optional meetings to talk about the readings. Sweetest lady ever.
THE SWEETEST EVER. I loved her class, Women in Middle Eastern Studies. She cares so much about the subjects that she teaches that she just wants her students to get a glimpse of the diverse perspectives. I learned a lot but did not feel stressed about her class or assignments because she made the class environment a comfortable space. TAKE HER!
Took Women In Middle East Societies, which was a breathtaking and educational experience. Very Gald Ramapo offered such a course, sadly it gets full quickly. As for the class, there is no need to buy a book. The professor provides the materials, there are three papers and lectures for the course, which is very doable as the professor guides us.
One of the best professors in Ramapo
Took Pinar for Honors Arts and Humanities and she was so understanding with everything going on. Lots of interesting topics and such an easy class. Would definitely take her again.
Took her class on Women in the Middle East and absolutely loved it! It was a very interesting subject. As for the actual class, Pinar is such a good professor - very sweet, obviously cares a lot, and super willing to help with the material outside of class. The work itself is easy - the only assignments are four thought papers.
Had her for Honors Studies in Arts and Humanities. She was very kind and did not make the course super stressful. There were lots of readings but you didn't really have to do them all if you didn't have the time.
By far the most laid back teacher I have ever had.
I wasn't sure what to write for "taken for credit" so I put yes because it is a class you get credit for; however, I wanted to take this class. The lessons are so interesting, the professor is someone you can tell really cares about her class and students, and the work is not overly stressful.10/10 would take a class with this professor again!
I could go on and on about how amazing professor kayaalp is. She is hands down one of the best professors I have ever had through all my years. She's very passionate about the class she teaches and loves to interact with students during lecture. If you want to enjoy learning I highly suggest you take this is the class. Great learning environment!
I LOVED HER CLASS! I was never a fan of history, but she made it enjoyable. She is the sweetest and most caring professor I have ever met. I HIGHLY recommend taking her class, you will definitely not regret it.
best prof ever. just lectures and lets you leave, sometimes early. barely any assignments, no homework
Genuinely the nicest professor at Ramapo. She assigns modules to read, but you don't need to read them. There are only 3 assignments and no final. She knows what she is talking about and makes history very interesting and engaging. I would def recommend her if you need to take a history gen-ed!!
She is the nicest professor I've had so far at Ramapo. She mostly lectures during her class periods. There's no midterm or final, only 3 papers throughout the entire semester but they're so easy. She's an easy grader. You won't regret taking her class!
She's the absolute sweetest and kindest soul. Lectures only, don't need to take notes, not tested on material. Three basic essays. She's always willing to help with whatever you need. Sometimes we just watched videos or documentaries. I would highly recommend taking her for this class or any other class when you can. Seriously an amazing person.
Professor Kayaalp is such a caring and inspirational professor. She understands the difficulties students go through and does her best to work with everyone. Her lectures are probably the most interesting and involved as well. You definitely won't get bored! Material is very interesting and the assignments are easier since she is big on details.
She helped me so much in a time where I needed extra time on an assignment! She gave me the time that I needed and was so quick to answer emails! 10/10 recommend this professor, she is THE BESR!
The professor did a good job of introducing the course materials and explaining her expectations for students as they did the assignments. She did especially well with virtual meetings because she was always available even when few students attended. She graded the assignments fairly and provided helpful feedback of students' writings.
Such an amazing prof! She makes you actually want to learn about history w/ out feeling like you are forced to like some HS classes felt. She is so caring and understanding! The class was super easy too - just 3 papers which all you had the choice to write about!
Professor Kayaalp is amazing. She provides all the tools for success, is clear of expectations, and available to meet for extra help. Even if sessions aren't mandatory, students should attend. Questions from classmates are helpful, she helps develop ideas into effective papers, the assignments are enjoyable, and she leaves you feeling inspired!
I have taken several of Professor Kayaalp's classes in all formats and levels. She is always available for help and guidance, truly cares about her students, and is incredibly fair. She is an incredible professor and the Ramapo community is lucky to have her! If you have the opportunity to take any of her courses, I highly recommend taking them!
She is absolutely amazing! After a heavy courseload over the school year, she made it clear this summer class would not be a burden. 4 papers/writing assignments over the course of 4 weeks and clear instructions. You can email her with any questions & she is happy to help! She gives great feedback on your assignment & is the best! TAKE HER!!
Relax and laid back
Gives a lot of lectures but was always very nice and helpful.
Very caring professor, she's understanding of your situation and wants you to succeed. Not that much work, just do the assignments and you'll do well.
Professor Pinar was one of the best professors I have ever had! Her lectures are easy, interactive, and interesting. I would highly recommend taking her classes, as I would love taking another class with her!
She is an amazing professor. She cares for her students and is very passionate about the class. Materials are very interesting, engaging and easy to complete. I recommend this class for any major, it is not stressful, but fun and educational.
The SWEETEST professor I have ever met!! She truly cares about students, and the class topics are so insightful. 3 papers but they aren't too bad and I feel like I have actually learned in her class. She shows movies and goes over reading but makes them fun and wants to listen to all students. Need more professors like her!
Literally my favorite professor ever!!! She is the sweetest person ever and cares so much about her students. She cares so much about the topics she teaches and brings awareness to the Middles East. If I could I would take her class again. There are only 3 papers that you would have to do and make sure you read all the articles before class.
Pinar's class is the first class at RCNJ I've taken where I truly felt calm, inspired, and respected. The content she chooses is tough, but everyone should learn it. Take her!
Super nice, would take her again 100%, no homework, no exams
Best professor with very interesting lectures. You will love her lectures and maybe fall in love in history. Choose this class and do yourself a favor.
She is one of the best professors at Ramapo. She is very caring and is very lenient in grading. Only 2 paper throughout the semester and she allows you to take extra credit assignment if you want to bump your final grades. I wish she taught in higher level courses as well.
She is the best professor at Ramapo. I learned so much about Islamic history. Thanks to her interesting lectures and only two papers throughout the semester. She also showed interesting history videos occasionally.
Only two papers throughout the semester and the instructions are very clear. She also lets you complete extra credits to bump your grades. Take her class, you will love it.
She is very caring and responds to your email immediately. Only 2 papers and the instructions are very clear. She even lets you do extra credit if you want to raise your grade.
Kayaalp was incredibly sweet and did her best to make sure that the class wasn't too work heavy. I had her for history matters and we were only graded on two papers, one 2-3 pages and the other 6-10 pages. She's not a tough grader at all and assignments are painless. Attendance wasn't mandatory, but you'll gain from her lectures. No tests either.
Super easy class, 1 assignment a month. Takes late work. As long as you do the assignments you'll pass.
One of the best courses I've taken in college. Not a lot of homework, and the material was easy and fun to understand. She really cares about our learning.
Pinar is extremely caring and understanding of your situation and willing to help. I've taken her classes multiple times, the assignments are straightforward and not very difficult.
She is by far the best professor I have had at Ramapo College. I took her course of Modern World Civilizations and did very well because of the way she taught her class and wanted her students to succeed. She only assigns one assignment a week which makes the class less stressful and there are no exams. I highly recommend this professor.
She is very loose about the attendance policy. There are only 2 papers you need to write and 1 presentation. Due note she does not grade harshly and she is willing to make exceptions. As long as you submit the assignments it should be an easy A I would highly recommend taking this class if you need a history gen ed
Kayaalp is an amazing professor. Took her for HIST150 and I actually liked that class more, but both are great. She really cares about her students, is an easy grader, and topics are very interesting. She does have you rent films every now and then, but no required text. Good amount of reading, but not awful. If you're thinking about it, TAKE HER!
By far one of my favorite professors I've had at this school. She is so caring and kind towards her students. She understands that we have other stuff going on, making the workload extremely manageable. She truly cares about her students and wants to help you succeed. TAKE HER! SHE IS AMAZING!
Great professor took her twice. She usually only have has 3 assignments were semester
She was an amazing professor. We only had two assignments the entire semester (a presentation and a paper) and she is always willing to help you. Her class was laid back, and attendance was not mandatory, however I enjoyed going to class, and would go often. She is great, I highly recommend taking her class.
Pinar was one of the best professors I've had in college. Truly cares for the students and really inspired me to view life differently. It's not always about the tough classes but the ones that make you gain and learn from. Her way to captivate a room with her lecture was truly awesome to see and hopefully I can take her again.
Pinar is an excellent professor! She kept the work load very light, but was also an amazing lecturer and I definitely learned a lot from her class. You can tell that she cares deeply about her students and wants them to gain the most they can from her class. She was extremely helpful in her office hours as well.
Professor Pinar is an excellent professor! She cares for students and is very understanding. Be prepared to read the texts she assigned before class since there will usually be an informal class discussion. The coursework is pretty light and manageable. If you need to fulfill a gen ed, please take her! She wants her students to succeed.
Amazing professor, would take her again for a different course. It was very interesting and was passionate, few manageable assignments,
For freshmen and students at college in general, Professor Kayaalp is a fantastic experience for any student and defines what a college professor should be. Not only did she deliver her subjects and lectures with care and conviction. But she allowed me to do my own project for her class, let me use my creativity and was willing to protect my work.
Two assignments the whole semester, attendance doesn't matter, no textbook, very caring towards every student. TAKE HER CLASS!!
Professor Kayaalp is amazing!!! Cares very deeply about her students. All of her positive reviews are warranted. Truly an amazing person who makes me want to be a history major to see her more often. If you need the gen ed, take this class at all costs.
Prof. Pinar is the best history professor at Ramapo. Her class consists of two papers and a PowerPoint/speech later in the semester and mostly lectures. Her lectures are so interesting and she is phenomenal at explaining everything. Attendance is not mandatory and she is easily accessible outside of class. TAKE HER CLASS AT ALL COSTS!!!!! Love her!
Pinar Kayaalp is so incredibly nice and caring. If I was not graduating I would take more of her classes. Grades have not been submitted yet but I have a 100 in her class currently. If you just try, you will get a good grade on the assignments. Easily one of the best professors at Ramapo, please take her class!!

Professor Kayaalp is one of the sweetest professors I've ever met. She's very passionate about what she teaches and her class is very easy. It's just a paper and a presentation which she doesn't grade harshly at all. Great professor, great class I 100% recommend!
Professor Pinar was horrible with answering emails, and left absolutely no feedback on the 2 assignments for her class. Her lectures consisted of movies, and little to no actual lecture. I would not recommend taking her class at all.
A few major writing assignments but the material that is covered and the time you have make them very simple. Amazing professor, she's very understanding and not too strict in class and on assignments.
Professor Kayaalp was the best professor and was very caring and so engaged in all the lectures. I would definitely recommend taking her class. The class was very manageable and I learned so much.

One of the best history professors! Engages students with interesting lectures and a manageable workload - just a few assignments. Would highly recommend this class, it's a great gen-ed option. The unstuck AI platform was super helpful for studying.
Attendance isnt graded, literally don't show up. Only assignments are a paper and presentation which are really easy. Easy class and easy teacher. Also no textbook and like I said before you don't have to show up for class.
If you are taking any hard courses in a semester, take Professor Pinar's course along with it. Her course will allow you to take a break from all your stress and anxiety making your semester doable and manageable. Take her course to get a higher grade and learn about history
Grade consists of few assignments and no tests or quizzes (at least for this course). Her lectures are amazing and she often goes by a hybrid schedule so you are not in class everyday of the semester. Super understanding and encouraging as well.
Professor Pinar is such an amazing professor she loves to help her students, she very caring and respectful. Her lectures are easy to understand and follow along with.
This is an absolutely amazing gen-ed course. Easy A course, hard to get any grade below A. The professor is so nonchalant and cares for her students. She takes attendance every day but is not part of your grade.
I would highly recommend this professor, she was wonderful and lenient with grading and coursework. Had her for history and got an easy A.
She is so good. I recommend!!!!!!!!!!

There are a few assignments per semester which are very easy as well. I love her and have taken 3 of her classes. Such an easy class with an amazing professor
I love her so chill and such an easy class. If you have a very busy schedule and you want a little break def take her class. She's very understanding and I don't think she cares about attendance too much. Easy class and easy A.
Amazing. Had her for an 8am, class was cancelled a lot before hand so we all could sleep in. Very caring and respectful and understanding of outside activities outside of class. Amazing I wish I could take her for every course I have had.
I literally ended the class with a 100. Graded by a paper and presentation all of which easy. Like I looked at the computer the whole time while presenting and got a 100. Never went to class, really nice person though.
Literally the nicest person ever. Take her class, you won't regret it!
An amazing professor that really cares for her students. Her lecture made learning about the Islamic World fascinating and inspiring. Presentations are mandatory but Proffessor Pinar really makes the classroom a safe and judgment free zone! I 100% recommend this course!
This is the easiest class you can take at ramapo. Pinar is so nice and cares so much about her students. There is no midterm or final or any other quizzes and tests. The only assignments are 3 easy papers, and 2 presentations. Doing the bare minimum you will get an A. She makes the class seem hard during syllabus week but don't let that scare you.
Pinar is amazing! She loves all her students and is very supportive. Her class was very manageable and she was super understanding and encouraging. I highly recommend taking a class with this woman she is great. I will 100% look for her name when planning future classes.
It would actually be stupid not to take her class if given the choice. Graded by 2 short essays and she's the most lenient grader in this entire college. She's awesome!
Just a wonderful person and professor. If you get the chance to take her do it!
I love her. She is so easy to access outside of class and gives great feedback. Her assignments are clear. Best professor I've had so far. I took this course for summer session one.
Took her for summer session one. Amazing prof and she gives clear instructions. The assignments are easy and she is easy to reach outside class. I would email her questions and she would get back to me within the day. I would 100% take again!!!
She's super clear with what she wants out of the class I had zero complications .Shes the sweetest teacher and is super organized.I got an A !!!!! BEST PROFESSOR
Great professor, one of the best at Ramapo. I highly recommend taking her, she answers emails very quickly and is accessible outside of class. She also provides great feedback on papers and wants the best for her students. Take her, you will not regret it.
OMG amazing! The online course was relatively easy, with interesting documentaries. I really enjoyed this class, and Pinar is the nicest art history professor I've ever had!
Kindest in the world. She went above and beyond to help me when I was trying to graduate. As an advisor, she was always present and genuinely cared about my success. We literally went back and forth across campus together to figure out my registration, and I cannot thank her enough. If you have the chance to take her class or work with her, do it.
Extremely nice person. Her class isn't particularly interesting and she doesn't do much to make it interesting, but she's super patient and I had fun with some of the bigger projects she gave. Not very test/homework heavy at all, and is willing to work with you to negotiate due dates. All around solid, even if the class itself is a bit tedious.
Attendance is NOT mandatory. Pinar is genuinely the sweetest professor ever. You don't have to attend a single lecture or do any readings to get an A+ in this class. Your whole grade is 4 easy projects (2 presentations and 2 easy papers) and she is a very very light grader. HIGHLY recommend her.
genuinely the best professor ive had while being enrolled here. she is so sweet and knowledable. she makes learning fun. she gave us 3 major projects no midterm or final or even homeworl. 10/10 class
Easiest class and best professor. Extremely lenient, kind, and caring. Only four assignments the whole semester. Attendance is not even mandatory.
Professor Kayaalp is the sweetest most caring person. She graded us on two project presentations that are super easy and there is no final or hw. I totally recommend her class if u need a break or an easy but well informed class for the semester.
Literally the easiest class I have ever taken. If you can take her class to fulfill your Gen Ed, DO IT!! You will not regret it. We were supposed to have 3 projects this semester, but she ended up removing one. So we were graded on 2 projects. I'm a nursing student and this class being so simple helped me put all my focus into my pre-reqs instead.
Very kind to students, grades fairly, very light workload. Would recommend
Great teacher, easy to understand, and the work is straight forward just do the work and you will have an A.
Pinar is very knowledgeable about Islamic Art and gives great lectures. The class is an easy A, two projects and presentations. Highly recommend you take her for your gen-ed requirements.
