He is a nice person, but is not a good explainer, he thinks you know the topic already. He does however explain something you don't understand if you ask, and you can come to his office there he tends to explain the section better.
He is a good teacher. It is true that he has a strong accent but he explains well and give you extra points for beeing on time and present. If you do the homework, the tests should be easy for you and you will pass with an A

Worst ****ing teacher. I don't understand why people say he is nice, because he isn't. He has the worst accent and does not help you to better understand the work he expects us to know. For one, i intended to enter the class and learn from him, not find it within me to know that i know this crap.
Worst teacher I have EVER had. You can't understand one word this guy says. He's definately a math genius, but he can't teach what he knows. Tests are hard. No patience with students who are slow to pick up material. The only way you will ever pass his class is if you're awesome in upper level math.
I found him to be quite helpful. Once you show him you are interested in learning he is more than willing to go over material in his office. He only assigns a few h.w. problems and if you do them you should be fine for the tests. I got an "A" by studying 2-3 hours for each test.

He's nice if you respect him. He helps you a bit but it's hard to understamd him. In class you can understand what he's doing on the board but when the test comes around you're clueless. He gives you extra credit for coming to class but you really need to bust you butt to pass. I got a B in both Algebra II & Statistics. I used all tutoring tools.

DON'T TAKE THIS TEACHER!!!! I HAVE NEVER SPEND SO MUCH TIME AT THE MATH LAB, STUDYING. I WORKED MY ASS OFF AND I GOT A "C", WHICH I WAS HAPPY BEACAUSE THAT CLASS WAS A MISSION. HIS FAV THING TO SAY IS "OK EASY FOR CHILDREN" AND EVERYONE IS LIKE HELL NO!!!!!
I wouldn't say this class is hard, but you definitely have to do the homework and study at least a little bit. If you go to every class you get extra credit. I bombed 2 out of 6 tests but with extra credit i ended up with an A.
This Professor is very knowledgeable and willing to help in any situation. I am very dipleased to read these negative comments about this nice man. The class is not easy but you have to be able to put time and effort into your grade. I took him in 1998 for Statistics(I got an A!) and May 2005 for College Algebra(I got a B!)

Bonus points will help you pass. 10 points for each week with no absences or late. Strong accent. Not clear with assignment, but he will help you if you show interest in passing. Pactice by doing homework.
I dont understand how people can complain aboutthis professor. He is the best math professor I have ever encountered in all my years of being in school. He takes his time, doesn't skip steps, and is more than willing to help you one on one if you show interest. This man explained an entire chapter over again to me in his office. Who does that?

This class was very tough but he is very helpful. Don't take this class unless you expect to be there every day. This guys knows Math like no other teacher I know. Great for Math majors.
he does have a heavy accent, and he does get carried away on tangents sometimes, but overall, he is a good teacher. he knows his stuff, and is willing to help you. he helped me for 2 hours one day explaining a concept that i didnt understand. you do have to work to make a good grade, but he'll help you out if you really try
He does not teach easy classes. You really have to do your homework and pay attention in class. He is not very helpful but i have done okay in his classes. Best advice: know the practice tests like the back of your hand and you are guaranteed an A on the test

I took this class twice because I took it with this guy first and flunked it. He's got a really thick accent and no understanding of the fact that the rest of the world is not as math-oriented as he is.
He is an awsome teacher!! i would recommend him to anybody! He gives extra credit and helps you out to pass. Just come to class all the time and dont be late to his class. Study his practice tests and do your homework and you can get an awesome grade. I wish i could take him for calculus! He was a great teahcer!!! Good Luck!
Very Very Hard and likes to flurt no one can understand him and says "easy for children" a lot and another word he says is "scatter" and i still don't know what that is or what it means
THIS CLASS SUCKED. I FAILED IT. IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT FOR ME TO UNDERSTAND HIM. HE GET UPSET IF YOU ASK TO GIVE MORE EXAMPLES. OVERALL I WISH I NEVER TOOK THIS CLASS.
Well it's hard to actually format a comment on this professor. He is easy but hard at the same time, helpfull but unhelpfull...you get the point.Simply attend every class and sit within the first 2 rows (horizontally).I did fairly well in his class with hard work and he's the best stats teacher on campus or so I heard.
I really suck in math so i thought that i was going to fail. He noticed that i actually was failing and he had the curtisy to pull me in his office and help me all the way, i ended up getting a "C" and the crazy thing is that i failed every single test. He really helped me and so did prayer. you should try it!!
hes not an easy teacher but he doesnt teach easy subjects. Make sure that you know the practice tests he gives you like the back of yo0ur hand and there is no way you wont get an A in his class. He has an interesting sense of humor

The guy is very smart but he expects you to know how to think in advance. In a sense I felt like I had to know already what he was teaching. His accent also makes is super hard to understand. He expects you to know all that is going through his head.
I barely passed. He doesn't like to answer the questions, he never explains the homework; if you tell him that you had a problem with it and ask to explain, he will say that homework is for home. He is a nice person, but I wouldn't recomend him as a teacher.
Save yourself some trouble from this arrogant man.It is not worthed to spend your money to take his class.He assumes that all of his students are math geniuses... "SELFISH !!!!!!." Y is he teaching? if he doesn't want to explain nothing.
This guy is weird, he's nice, but cant really explain much, he doesnt speakk good english so its hard to catch what he says, he will help you alot outside of class, but in class, sometimes he goes too fast. DONT BE LATE. He gives you 10-15 extra points on each test just for being there before him. Its worth taking him for low level math.

Worst Math Teacher I've Ever Had. I like math and got A in class, but didn't learn a single thing all semester! Waste of time. He's a robot, comes in "teaches" what he knows to the board, not the class. Does not tell you what section or topic he's on. Extra pts GIVEN to students, to make class average look better. Must have good prior math to pass.

I honestly enjoyed my Intermediate Algebra class. Sure, this professor isn't the easiest but all you have to do is TRY. Try to listen, pay attention, read at home, do the excercises in the book, and STUDY! The professor does a lot of example on the board. He's very smart. He gives extra points if your not absent. I got an 'A' in the course =)
you have to love mat. study and get your self a good calculator, and learn how to use it. it will help you a lot.
Don't take this class if u've been out of school for while..He deffinetly does not know how to teach...and he cant speak english.
He tries to be funny you may giggle, he is very helpful the more you go to his class the better. At the end of the semester he gives students with 3 absences of less a chance to audit if you fail!! he also gives extra credit. Only bad thing is he has an accent.
5 out of 25 students took the final exam, that is, 80% dropped. Yes, he has an accent, but he is pretty much clear on his explanations. And if you have a bad time learning, just keep showing up on time and you may earn 10 points in the final grade. 20 points for perfect attendance!!! that makes your C an A!!!

In the begining he scared me but once he sees you are putting forth the effort he is helpful and caring. I got an A. Granted I worked my butt off but I KNOW the material which that is what counts! I am going to try to take my next class with him!

Attendance earns points, taking good notes is advised, asking relevant questions only helps. Taking Calc 3 in 6 weeks advised if no other classes taken. Calc 3 is not easy, but if you're prepared and study, he can make it easier for you.

he is very unclear, i believe he is an extremly smart guy, he knows exactly what he is talking about but i think he doesnt know how to translate it into teaching. he answers your questions with questions. The points that he gives suck i never missed one class and i still got 3 "dots" cuz i walked in a minute late.
Extrememly hard to understand. Seems to teach Math by talking. Expects you to understand everything and not forget since "grammar school". If you ask a question, he will either say it's a stupid question or will ignore you and say "you should already know this". Only 3 people in my class has B's others failed, stopped going, dropped out.
dont take him and if you have to, be sure drop before the drop deadline date for refund, becaus it wont get any better trust me i had to learn the hard way, and also because thats all that it will take to see that this guy knows his math but cant teach it the way to help you understand but guess what his test will be of everything youve already see
I would not recommand this teacher to anyone.........His Extra Credit depends on attendance,If ur tardy that counts against u,He does not require u to do homework, but make sure u study really hard anyways,ur grades are only based on ur tests which there are 6 test, his test are hard,....I can go on forever, but from what i just wrote its ur Choice
Very smart man but can't convey what he knows to the students. He rambles on certain topics and expects you to pick it up instantly. He lies about what's going to be on tests, cannot be found outside of class, and is quite difficult to understand. If you have perfect attendance he'll drop your lowest test grade and give ten points of extra credit.
If his class is the only choice you have then my advice is to never ever be late or tardy because he gives 50!! extra points for that and drops your lowest grade. The class might seem hard at first but the best advise i can give is to never give up it gets easier at the end.Trust me. this class thought me that hard work does pay off
This professor covers materil very well, sometimes hard to understand, but he will explain in more detail if you don't understand. Is willing to help you if you need it.
His Polish(?) accent may make it hard to understand at first but don't give up. He's passionate about math but might not be the best at explaining. Some things he can explain, others not. Anything you don't understand, ask; he explains it in a different way and it's easier to get. Ask after class if you want. Having a strong base in math will help.

OMG!!! WORST TEACHER EVER!! Not only is he bad at teaching, but he has horrible character. According to one student, "all you have to do to get an A is talk to him, be friendly, and talk about casual things like girls". ????? He doesn't care about doing a good job. By the middle of the semester, 15% of the class was left, not including myself.RUN!!

I got a B, but this teacher is not simple. He sucks in teaching, he is only good for student who alreay know most of the material. Attendance is probably the most important thing. Class is too long and he is too boring. I wont recommend him. Only reason i took him is because he was the only teacher on campus that teaches the combo.

This is one of the worst professors at Broward College.He spends most of the time talking about things not related to math.
What the hell...this class is A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!! I understand english is not your first langauge, but I couldnt understand what he was saying..He talks so much, mostly about nothing. I literally gave up on the class and I showed up for attendence..I tried...I knew STATS was not the easiest class, but this guy should not be teaching.

This teacher is freaking horrible. This is my first semester in college, and he expects us to know everything prior to beginning class. The first class, he skipped the first chapter, and started in the middle of the next. Then we moved on to the next chapter. And we got a test on everything, including what he skipped. STAY AWAY!!! All he does is read from the book, he does not show the process His tests are entirely multiple choice without partial credit. If he didn't give extra credit for attendance I wouldn't even bother showing up. He is a nice guy but a horrible teacher. If you have to take one of his classes MIT Opencourseware will get you through it.

Obviously not the greatest math prof out there, but his class is very passible. If you put in the effort, go to tutoring and try to get some useful info out of him you will pass. His test are all about what he teaches in class,just copy the numbers of the exercises he wants u to do has homework, they will be in the test but easier. I've been going to college for about 2 years now and this is the worst professor I've ever had. I never thought I would meet a professor who was so unwilling to help his students. If you can work on your own then maybe you might have a chance. I recommend buying MathXL and studying like that. I did that and barely got a C. Take him at your own risk

First off he has a very deep european accent, a lot of the time he had to repeat himself. He doesnt allow notetaking while he is going over something, you have to wait until he is finished which is hard in math. He didnt tell us chapters we were to be quizzed on until the last half of the semester when everyone was failing. no homework.

Awful awful teacher, skips all around the book, doesn't even teach what is in the book half the time, the tests are completely new from what he teaches in class. One student went up to him and told him so the whole class could hear that he was the worst teacher he ever had when handing in our SECOND TEST. Half the class has already dropped.
A person who is not strong in math I suggest highly not to take this man class.All he doed is get up on the bored and he gets into his own little world from there. Its easy to cheat in his class, but he's not helpful AT ALL!!!!

Class isn't that hard, book is definitely a MUST. As long as you do the suggested problems he assigns, you can't get less than a C on his tests. He's pretty straightforward & his accent isn't as bad as people say. He gives 10 extra points on every test if you attend every class plus he drops the lowest test grade so an A or B is definitely possible

He is very hands off,doesnt give any homework or review for the final.He is the professor that hs teachers talk about in the sense that he doesn't baby you.But if you have a question he will answer it.Tends to get off topic during lectures its alright he's kinda funny.Also gives 10 points on every test and drops your lowest score which helps alot.

He is a boring teacher, don't bother asking for help because he will either confuse you or won't help you out and when he does, you ask him "what happened with my help" he will respond with his lame excuse and if you talk back NOPE he starts giving his lame excuses and somehow he is always right. Im a straight A student and was taking this class during my senior year in high school. I studied every night. The material he teachers is inconsistent with what we were tested on. He has a strong accent and expects you to know everything already. My acceptance to college was revoked due to this specific teacher. STAY AWAY!

he is not as bad as everyone makes him out to be nor is his accent. his class is not that hard I got an A. you get 10 points on his test if you have perfect attendance for the week which helps alot. there are 6 tests and a final. if you go to class, take good notes & study the problems in the book that correlate to the notes you can pass with an A
NOT a bad instructor. You do need to be able to teach yourself, however, so a pretty solid foundation in algebra is needed (which you should have anyway since you were placed in this level course). OPEN BOOK TESTS. 10 pts for PERFECT ATTENDANCE for tests. Will explain over if you need help. I received a C, I could have done better with more effort.
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROF even if he was the only one available. He's a real genius for sure he should be closed into a laboratory making the world better with new inventions and other stuffs may be but he shouldn't be teaching because he simply doesn't know how to. Worse prof ever! No review, no communication, he's just a robot.
Hes not that bad of a teacher. Goes off topic alot. Gives extra credit for perfect attendance. He has a heart. does care about you. I got an A but learned frm indpndnt study not from him. I didnt pay attention to his lectures. I recommend him if you are willing to put in some work. Also invest in a really good hitech graphing calculator. It helped.
I had STA2023 with him and he is the worst professor ever! He has a VERY thick accent that is tough to understand. He runs through the material too fast and gets irritated when asked to explain. He says "if you were paying attention you wouldn't need me to explain!" By the end of the term there were only about 5 students left in the class. HORRIBLE
Do not take him. His lessons are hard to follow and he is not helpful. At all. Hated his class the list goes on. I had to teach myself the material.
He goes off topic a lot. His lectures are fast, not so clear and he has a thick accent. He seems like he doesn't like to answer questions and expects you to get the subject right away. Miss class,you'll get so lost. STAY AWAY from him if you're not a genius at math.
If you have good attendance and take good notes then the book is only for homework. Easy A. He makes STA fun. I took eight week course and we had 6 tests and a final. Open book (notes) tests, but still if you missed lectures it is hard to follow. Professor really cares so ask questions if you don't understand.

Ok, I will give home the fact that he is a brilliant mathematician. But when it comes to teaching it, I wouldn't recommend him. Now if you are a genius and love math, then by all means, he's your guy. But for everyone else, I would advise you to pick a different teacher.
I took him twice and failed both times. If you expect to go according to the book, you won't get straight A's. He believes that he is correct and not the book (even going to the tutor labs didn't help since the tutors had no idea how he got his answers). He gives 10 extra credit points for each class if you have perfect attendance though.
Prof Galkowski is a good professor but not a very good teacher (he said he isn't a teacher lol). If math isn't your strong point I recommend taking another prof who's more hands on and helpful. His class is one where it falls on you to prepare and study for the exams 100%. If you attend every class he gives you +10 on each test, SO SHOW UP!
Professor Pioter is real Mathematician. he goes over every topic that you need to learn. his teaching is a university level. it s your job to study for every chapter.
I'd be lying if I said he was easy. Took him for MAC1105 & 1147 and passed both with A's. U have to love math to like his class. MAC1147 is a 5 credit class so it's an extra push. May be hard to understand because of his accent but he's understanding. i told him how far i drove to get to his class and he understood. Xtra credit for attendance
I was skeptical with these reviews but I took him anyway. I do not regret it one bit. He really cares and is a great instructor of mathematics. First teacher in a long time I actually studied for and learned something new. Extra credit for attendance saves tests. If you get a 100 and miss no classes, you get a 110. - gives you a passing chance
Off topic a lot, a waste of time. No breaks. Extra credit if you don't miss a class but if you come a second late he marks you absent. If you like teaching yourself go right ahead and take this class. I went to the bathroom for ten minutes and he redid the attendance check randomly and marked me absent. Better to waste your gas and go to North.
He is confusing, kind of rude, not very helpful. he does not pay attention to students while testing though so there's that. no nervousness from him cowering over you watching you take the test, he just sits on his computer. He will mark you absent if you are late. you get an extra 10 points on your tests if you have perfect attendance.
I was in the hospital and he refused to give me the notes for me to make up my test. I got the notes from a classmate and then he refused to let me take my make up tests since i had no doctors note but I had proof of my hospitalization. Then he said I won't pass so do I want to accept an incomplete or get my hopes up for failure. DONT TAKE HIM!
Worst math professor I have ever had. He is not organized, he will just begin writing notes on the board but will not ever say what he is going over. Calls students stupid for asking the question. He does not have an email and is never in his office. You wont know what your grade is till the end of semester. Never reviews tests either. DONT DO IT.

Attendance is essential in this class. you get extra credit for perfect attendance and in this course youre gonna need all the free points you can get. He will explain things only once and hates answering questions so pay close attention . The course its self get a little challenging but if you study you can pass with an A
Grade is entirely made up by six exams. The exams are difficult, almost impossible. He is very smart and funny but that only makes lectures more confusing. I considered withdrawing from the course but tutoring helps so go! He gives extra credit every test for perfect attendance though.
Really try to avoid him. I did not pay attention to previous reviews thinking it would not be so bad but clearly I was wrong. His lectures are boring, goes out off topic a lot, gets upset if you ask any questions arguing you were not paying attention. Take any other professor
When I say this is the worst Proffesor at Broward College believe me. There is six test and six test only he doesn't explain anything clearly he assumes you just understand everything without any explanation. He demands perfect attendance yet he is never on time . In addition, if this is your last semester don't take him you will fail.
Do not do this to yourself. He will ruin your entire college career. He finds the hardest way to test you on things he never really taught you to begin with.

Surprisingly he was actually a good professor. He took his time to teach you something and if you didn't hear him the first time he repeated himself. I learned so much from him. He has a great sense of humor and he drops the lowest test if you have perfect attendance. He really wants to see his students pass. Also, he gives extra points on tests
He is not mean at all, but he is not the greatest teacher in the world. His notes are very disorganized and we never had homework. The only grades were the 6 tests and final. You basically do everything on your own, and he would get off topic. If you struggle in math, you shouldn't take him.
Mr. Piotr was so funny to be with. exam is always similar to what he has done in class. Pay close attention cause he does not like to repeat . Do all the practice excercices that he suggested. his accent makes him more difficult. if you're late your absent, if you're on time everyday you get extra credit and you will need it. he starts a topic then goes to another and the test is on the first topic, the after the test he's on topic 3 and the next test is going to be on the second topic you did. its just kind of confusing. teach yourself
This man has to be one of the worst professors ive ever had in life. This man doesnt teach you, he teaches at you. He lectures and does problem on the board all class without really explaining anything in depth or even asking student for questions. Theirs no homework, no real in class assignments for practice. DO NOT TAKE THIS MAN AT ALL COST.
I just managed to just get by. He would trail off and talk about random things that have nothing to do with math. I don't think that he's someone that is easy to approach. One good thing is that he is very generous when it comes to extra credit if you always show up to class. Also, I never used the textbook so that was a waste of money.
He is very difficult to understand. He goes off topic... ALOT. He goes over several topics before a test and only tests on one of the topics. He is argumentative if you do not understand something. He isn't a "teaching" type of professor. He is more of a "telling" professor. None of the concepts are explained, you must teach yourself. Don't do it.

I thought i was decent at math, this man made me realize i know nothing. the book is wrong to him, he knows everything about mathematics. he believes if you use mathematics you can never get confused.i'm gonna keep it real with you, do not and i repeat DO NOT take this class. this man will convince you are stupid. he tells a lot of useless stories.
This teacher may be a bit soft spoken but not hard to understand, especially if you're brave enough to ask. He's patient and doesn't mind going over the content again in class for those who don't get it. He also added extra credit towards the tests if you get to class on time. I'd take him again if I could.
This professor helps you so much, he gives extra 10 points on each test if you go to his class everyday.. he can get off topic a few times but believe you will be happy you got him. if you study a lil you will pass.

Professor Piotr was alright. Stats is a difficult subject for me so I had to work harder for a good grade. Grades only on tests and final no graded homework. Take good notes and get the book, you can use them on each test. Gives 10 extra points if you don's miss class. Overall, study to do good on tests and try not to miss class to get extra points

Nice professor, bad teaching methods. Teaches chapter out of order. Moves on to different chapter before giving test for previous. Only grades test. Never goes back over the test. Open book and notes, but can't understand my notes. Needed to make my own notes. No other grades, like quizzes and HW to balance test grades. Extra credit won't help.
He is a pretty bad professor. His notes are garbage to look at and you basically end up needed to teach yourself because you learn just as much with or without him there. He goes off on tangents like spending 20mins talking about rhinos and he jumps around teaching one section for one class then jumping to another the very next class.
He only grades by tests. You can choose to do homework or not, you do not have to buy the book and all the tests were open note and open book. However, I didn't like that his grading was only dependent on tests, he isn't the best at explaining things and often complains about such small things that students would do. I personally do not recommend.
ONLY graded by tests (30% accumulative final, 70% other tests). Textbook not mandatory. Tests are scantron, open book & open note. If you come to every class ON TIME & DON'T leave early he will give extra credit. Poor teaching methods & you'll more than likely have to teach yourself. Constantly complains about random stuff & can be a little rude.
Literally does not teach anything. Walks into class late every single day. Copies the example the book gives you on the board and thats it, thats how he teaches. Lets say you have to use the restroom, once you walk out he stares at the door and complains in front of the class that you left. He always makes mistakes when showing an example.
One time a student was getting up got up 2 times to use the bathroom , he got mad & started talking bad expected us to agree with him & laugh. Get a bad attitude when a student ask a question, cant study from notes because theyre all over the place, doesnt know how to teach , have bad handwriting so its hard to understand what he writes.
Dont take him hes no help. You cant understand him at all. Were in quarantine and his notes are written in sloppy cursive.
An extremely hard professor probably the worst teacher I have ever had in my life. Test heavy he does not give you back your exam when finished so you can not review your mistakes. during quarantine we did not meet at all online, he was only sending emails with notes that were written in cursive making it hard to comprehend.
To pass the class just use Chegg.
I took his class online. The only reason I got an A was because of Chegg and his tests were all online. I can already tell if this class was in person I probably wouldn't have passed. His lectures are extremely boring. And he writes in SLOPPY cursive that is not even legible. If you take him online you'll get an easy A but you won't learn anything.
