I strictly recommend this teacher. He teaches very well with demonstrations and open book tests.
This professor is so NICE! But just because he's nice, don't take advantage of it! He has 3 open book tests and a final. All 14 hw's are handed in for a check which is worth 20% of your final grade, besides all the answers are in the back of the book! His lectures include demonstrations and funny jokes which makes class more interesting and fun!
Probably the greatest chemistry u will ever have. Very easy, clear. Opne book test for every test!!....drops the loswet grade. There' sno way you can fail this class.
This guy is great! His exams arent hard and he explains everything in class..You get hw every wk but its really easy to understand. And hes reallyyy nice too!!
lol he is great..very nice and reasonable.
There's too much to mention because he's the BEST!!!!! Although his tests are open book, you still have to study. He is very clear and hilarious and his demonstrations are fun and helpful. If you get him as a professor, consider yourself LUCKY !!!!
He is so cute and understanding person, i just love his, but let me warn you it is an open book exam yet kind of difficult, but is you study before the test you will get a good grade.
Very good teacher. No one would regret taking his class. He is a kind of a teacher that everyone wiould like. Very easy and tests - OPEN BOOK.
so nice and cute :) i love his jokes. a very good class. open book exams. he is the best!!!
he's funny and tries to keep kids attention by bringing in little experiments
The best chem teacher
great teacher, made chem easy and fun
best chem teacher
excellent professor. gives reasonable amounts of homework and grades fairly. the exams are open book and he encourages his students to utilize the materials and sources they are given. if you're considering taking chem120 choose him because he's great. he's funny too and his class is not boring at all
i do agree with the majority of people, but let me tell you there are three open book exams and you think it is easy because it open book but it is not just study a lot before the test. overall he is good
Guys! You forget that passing this class isn't everything. Then, you'll have to pass NLN-exam. However,no one will allow you to have a book with you over there. Make your own decision!Chemistry is more about the studying on your own. You'll have to work if you're interested in having a good grade.
You probably won't have a choice, but if you do, take BASTOS! He is the freaken BEST!! He takes a boring subject such as Chemistry and makes it exciting, fun, and EASY! I don't know how he does it, but he's a talented, funny, cute guy with loads of charm. Make sure to listen in class, take notes, and study from your notes. Don't forget the H.W.!!
He means good but hasn't got a clue what it feels like to be a 1st time chem student. He teaches in english and test in french. You are going to work your butts off. Many people love him but I thought his test were very unfair.
He is a good professor. He makes chemistry fun. Sometimes it gets boring. His exams are fine only because it is an open book exam. I dislike the final a lot. I must detest it because it is another high school regent exam that really does not relate to anything that I have studied. Overall, take his class because it is one of the easiest in hunter.
This guy is more like a high school or middle school chemistry teacher not a university prof he makes you love the subject provides notes on the blackboard and tests open book and openj notes however there is homework couple of probelms every week
what is everyone talking about? he is condescending, dismissive, and rigid; all these good reviews must have been written by the professor himself. Not helpful at all, reluctantly takes questions and then just repeats himself and does not attempt to EXPLAIN difficult concepts. Test are open book, but so difficult, not enought time to finish exams
i know he is a nice guy ,but his exam is freakin hard!???i mean u don't even have enough time to finish all the questions??and u can't forget homework btw.if u missed it , u can't make up. he won't accept any excuses !but he will curve and drop the lowest grade!that is fine.
He's a nice professor, always on time and neat. His exams are open book but their not easy. Sometimes the class is boring and somtimes he brings in his homemade experiments to demonstrate. Gives alot of notes, nothing is posted on blackboard. Watch out for the final, it's cumulative. Overrall, he's a cool guy.
I used to hate chemistry so badly because i did really bad in chemistry when i was in HS. But i love chemistry after i took his class and i think chemistry is actually not as hard as i thought.. take him, he's great!! But i dont really like the final because it is cumlative, but then it's not really hard anyway.. if you study, you will get an A
You will get your A only if he likes you; overwise, you will be said that there is only 1 point that you need, but you aren't going to be given it because you are not made of silicone. He is a really funny professor! I'v loved him. Don't show your interest in chemistry because he isn't interested in it at all.
He is good but you still have to do your part. MUST DO THE HOMEWORK to understand and although the test are open book YOU MUST STUDY.
Open book tests but the tests are acutally really hard, he curves points though.
when it comes to hw hes a jerk, wont accept late hw even if ur dying!open book tests but it actually makes it more difficult cuz you have a minute per question! you need to flip thru notes+thru ur text book! you have NO space for anything-posts the notes on blackboard so you dont really have to go2class. he claims the tests are cake but they arent.
He's really good at clarifying the concept.. i think his class is pretty easy if you read before the lecture and study for the exam. Even though the tests are open book, but that doesnt help much in answering the questions unless you read the book before and know where to find the answer. i like him, he's really good at explaining the concepts.
really nice person! he gives awesome analogies that're sure to help you during tests. open book tests are sorta hard, so just know your stuff!
He makes everything really clear and easy to understand. The tests are open book but it is still helpful to know the materual beforehand. It's really easy to not go to this class but that's probably not the best idea. He drops the lowest test grade (and homework counts as a test grade so make sure you do it). And sometimes he plays music =]
He is a great professor. If you come to class and study, you will earn a good grade.
He's a really good professor. Lectures are straight to the point.
he is a really good teacher!! the class is easy and straight to the point. u technically dont even need to come to the lectures, the tests are open book and so is the final! the tests are pretty easy if u understand the material. i really recommend this teacher he is great
his is easy and hot, looked like a soccer coach rather than a professor. As I have learnt chem in secondary school, his chem100 is just too easy. I think his class is a kind of boring for those who have learnt chem b4. He looked at me angrily when I didn't sing alphabet song w/ the whole class. But if u want to get a easy A+ and don't mind getting
This professor may be a good professor on teaching the material at the beginners level but as far as teaching in depth faster paced courses he lacks the skill. He stumbles on his words and is certainly not practiced.
Exams/quizzes are open book/notes. Exams are mult. choice and fairly easy. Expect weekly quizzes and online homework, which add up to an exam grade each. The classes themselves are completely pointless (because the quiz/exam question come from the book, not the notes), but mandatory because he collects classwork. If you do EVERYTHING, you get an A.
Lectures are straight to the point. Open book exams (but make sure to be semi-conscious and know what you're doing). Drops the lowest grade, attendance doesn't matter because it's a lecture hall.
He should elaborate more during lectures and the book that was used is TOO SIMPLE! If you study the questions from the textbk it'll NOT help you with the exam!
Good professor- makes the class kind of fun. As long as you complete the homework and take all his tests, you should be fine. It isn't too hard to get a good grade in his class as long as you complete the work.
well, he is a nice guy... but is very egotistical when he wants to be. his exams, which are open book, come STRAIGHT from the book. dont think you can walk into the exam with the book in hand, expecting to get an A... its not that simple. however, if you do your work, and pass his quizzes, you'll get a good grade
a funny and nice guy.easily get an A.if the average exam grade is low,he will give curve.3exam grades,1hw grade& he will drop the lowest one.1cumulative final exam.he post notes on b.b.&also doesnt take attendance.he also give out extra credit if necessary.so u hv lots of chances to improve ur grade if u r not good at chemistry.strongly recommand!
In my opinion he is an terrible professor. There are 400 students in the class, yet still he talks super fast and does not care whether the class is with him. Also you can't ask questions during class & there is no tutoring for the subject. He is very stingy with the grades and the homework assignments and exams don't reflect what he teaches.
Finds teaching methods that students can relate to and tries to make it easier to understand for students. He's funny too.
Out of about 70 students i dont know a single one who had any positive feelings toward him. I spent the entire class passing notes because all you need to know he goes over the last few min of class. Hard. pretty unreasonable guy and his tests were not overly hard but VERY hard to do good on. Dont take him
obnoxious.teaches as if we are elementary students.gets extremely irritated when question asked.makes same bad jokes repeatedly and talks about himself-wasting time.goes too fast.because tests are open book figures 'everything is fair game' allowing him to avoid teaching all together.gives very little time on quizes and is a fan of phrase 's.o.l.'
I do not recommend people to take chem. with this professor. He's horrible! Although his exams are open book, its pretty hard to get a good grade on them. His jokes are not funny at all and he does go pretty fast. Put bastos as your last choice when choosing a chem. class.
This guy is very disrespectful and very unreasonable. He believes that the world revolves around him and teaches his class in that manner. I do not reccommmend this professor because he has no interest in educating his students and helping them excell. With him, he is always right and the students are always wrong. He's very self-absorbed.
I think he is a very good prof. I love the way he teaches. He interacts with the students and use different props when teaching so the concepts can be easier to grasp. He really wants to help students. He gives 3 open book exms plus online hmwks. There are also weekly quizes. Study and you'll do just fine.
I would not recommend him because his teaching and the exams that he gives do not correllate, he's horrible.
great teacher ever had. He is so helpful when I had a question. But he is sooo strict that he told. If you study hard, you can get a good score.
great teacher ever had. He is so helpful when I had a question. But he is sooo strict that he told. If you study hard, you can get a good score.
I love this guy. Mind you, chemistry is a very hard subject but he makes everything about it easy to understand. Attendance isn't taken, but his lectures are priceless - much better than what the textbook offers - so don't cut. There's homework to do every week, but it helps for the exams. Be on time for the exams - they're long!!
Hes cooll and funn. i mean.... i actually dont fall asleep.. thats says alot...
His lecture soo so great and if u go to his tutoring u will know about everything..the hws are kinda hard but it helps u for the exam .first test is pretty easy but the rest take up a lot of time so u have to be very prepared even if it is open book.. his notes are great!if u work hard u wont be dissapointed with ur grade
He's really fair and helpful. his tests are decent and if u study for it u will pass with a decent grade.
Bastos is the best chem prof. we have at Hunter. Open book exams. . Clear explanations.. He just knows what he is doing. If you are willing to learn, you ll learn.
People like him because it is easy to get a good grade in his class (open book tests) but he won't teach you anything. If you are a serious student and actually want to learn the material, take the course with someone else. He is impossible to follow in lecture, often makes mistakes when copying his example problems, and can't answer questions.
Make sure you are adept at self teaching. His inability to adapt to the needs of the class coupled with his own self interest makes this class one that I wish I could have switched into another section.
Every1 has diff. opinions of "Dr.B". I personally didnt learn much from his lectures. He makes everything seem so easy in his examples until he gives you ridiculously hard quest. on the quizes so its better if u teach urself using the txtbk. Everything is open book but u dont have enuf time to look for answers. Dont let that fool you. Exams are ok.
If you are adept at reading science textbooks you have a chance of making it out with some knowledge, but none it will come from him. GOOD LUCK FUTURE STUDENTS!
Dr. B should be teaching middle school. He likes gimmicks (ie. made college chem class sing the alphabet) and surface level teaching. He doesn't answer questions, and open book tests are his excuse to ask about things never mentioned. Chemistry is easy, learning from him is hard (and not worth it). If you are stuck with him buy a good textbook!
Useless as an instructor. More interested in cracking jokes than actually teaching. I ended up skipping lecture everyday except for test days. I taught myself using the textbook and information gathered from the Web. I finished with an 86%.
O, my God! I'm not gonna let myself write, whatever I feel like writing( kinda unapropriate) but this professor is just unexaptable. My advise, Awoid if you can, I wish I did!
bad professor, first of all he is completely rude and disrespectful. it seems like he doesnt have patience and to be a professor you must have patience.. his lectures are worthless and his handwriting is disastrous, i dont know why he even bothers posting them on bb if theyre not legible. Avoid him if you can and take someone else!
He is a really bad professor. I had to teach myself everything from the textbook. He really has no idea what he is saying or doing. I showed up to every class , i did every Home work ,did well on all of the quizez and when the test or grades come in they dod not reflect what he taught in claa. if you want to learn or get a good grade.STAY AWAY!!!
The Homework for this class is virtoully undoable...the textbook does not support it.. you have to look up alot of the answers online..going to him for help is a waste of time, because he cannot explain his answers and goes very fast. His first exam is the easiest...but the rest are hard...avoid him!!!
Dr. Bastos is the worst professor I have ever had. If you have to take Dr. Bastos. follow my advise 1. GO TO EVERY CLASS (ATTENDANCE IS PART OF YOUR GRADE) 2.DO THE LAB WORK 3.HIRE A TUTOR 4. READ THE TEXT BOOK BEFORE CLASS...
One word description: Terrible. Two words of advice: Stay away! Bastos is a terrible lecturer. His exams reflect rarely anything taught in class, and he pulls questions straight out of his butt. He is rude and treats his students as if they were in junior high school. He is extremely impatient and sometimes does not even know how to work out
Everyone thinks he's awesome. keyword:THINKS. hes outrageously rude and impaitent. he never takes time to answer questions and continuosly slaps u in the face with that "see me during office hours". handwriting is HORRIBLE. makes work seem easy then jumps out of the woods with semi-hard legthly TIMED exams. DO NOT let the open book fool u. HORRID!!
I read his reviews before taking the class and I thought he would be a good professor. However, he was HORRIBLE. He can't teach. Open book exams made him seem easy but he never gives you enough time to open the book. His notes are absolutely useless. If you have him you are better off studying yourself.
he made chemistry seem so simple.his exams weren't simple but it doesn't take much for one to read and correlate between what is taught and what the book supplements.on the whole i enjoyed his class and would reccomend him, although there is rarely much interaction unless one goes to his discussions held after the lecture, which is a great help.
He is disrespectful and doesn't know how to explain things in more than one way. If you don't understand a concept the first time and ask a question, he just repeats what he has already stated over and over again. He then brushes you off and says that he will return to the concept later in the class (he never does). Good luck.
this professor does not know how to teach. he rushes through the problems that you will not understand anything. he was the worst chemistry professor i have ever seen. he should not be teaching. first day the class seems easy oh open book exams, they are totally time consuming.i never used my book for the exam cuz its to much time the exams long
Batos.........Batos. He is not helpful during office hrs he rushes through everything. If you were excellent at chem then he is your man if not please do yourself a favor and run away.
I don't know how his ratings got so low, but I took him FAll 2006 and he was a great professor! The class wasn't held in such a huge lecture room back then, which made the class more comprehensible.
An overall irate professor. He may be a good teacher to those who already have a knowledge in the field, but otherwise makes for an awful teacher.Does not explain in simplest terms, and tends to overcomplicated every problem. Has not been able to maintain a teaching position at any one school for more then a few years on the basis of poor teaching
His lectures are good but when it comes to the test, it is like completely different. His tests consist of stuff that he never go over. Awful
Horrible...makes you think you're doing good the entire semester but if you mess up on the final(which is 40% of your grade), you're screwed and ur grade can drop by a whole letter...HW's are easy, and regular tests are fair but be careful about the final!! he also speaks clear, but too fast.
oyy where to start.he is not THEE worst but he is pretty bad.the only good thing about him is that he gives hw that can be used to boost up your grade.the overall class is very difficult. the concepts may seem very easy but anything can be hard when taken to the fullest extent.if you are going towards nursing-get ready for survival of the fitest
If you're new to chemistry be prepared to a lot of studying from a textbook. He moves from one topic to another quickly and with so much info that needs to be covered it can be difficult. Tests are not that hard if you know the material, though. Plus you are allowed a cheat sheet where you can write w/e you want on it.
HATED HIM!!! DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. AVOID IF POSSIBLE. HE IS A POMPOUS ASS
Dr.B is not a bad teacher but makes a lot of mistakes when gradin the exam and posting the grades. u will have HW every week. do them u will be fine. tests sometimes take more time than the class time. so u might have to rush through the qts. But if u read the book and do the HW, there is high chance u will pass the class with B or above.
hot professor. makes chemistry seem fun and easy. his exams are fair. i got an A
I hated him even though I got a decent grade. Personally, I don't think he should be teaching advanced chem(112). I took AP chem back in HS, so I know most of the materials. However, he is so capable of confusing the students, extremely unclear about the materials. His bad attempts on being humorous really irritated me, too.
Horrible professor, You try so hard with homework, quizzes and classwork, hoping that will boost your grade but when it comes to open book exams, horrible. Absolutely no time at all. He speeds through everything and is very unclear. If you don't know chemistry definitely DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFfESSOR!!!!!!!!!!11
i just started out in this class. No grades yet, but I feel this guy is completely incapable of teaching people. I could skip his class and do just as well. So what's the point of having him? its pathetic, i love all my classes except for this one
Waste of time and money, just buy a textbook, learn it on your own and show up for exams. If you go to class, you will walk away more confused by his circular logic and wandering thoughts. Completely disorganized and totally incomprehensible.
Homework has nothing to do with classwork. Classwork is rather easy but dont be deceived, for his tests and homeworks are much harder than his teachings.
He is the first professor that i ever hated in my life. This guy seriously can't teach. His homework has nothing to do with the classwork or the book. I didn't learn anything in his class. I had to teach myself. He really sucks as a professor.
he teaches you nothing. he uses class time to tell lame stories that do not teach you chemistry. he just wants to hear himself be "funny." class has nothing to do w/ HW, and HW barely has similarity to his tests. you're going to be stuck teaching it all to yourself. his class is an insult teaching.
BAD BAD BAD! He is a bad teacher!
HORRIBLE professor! What he teaches has nothing to do with the homework or the exams. if cuny is going to make cuts they should consider him first.
He's not mean and terrible. He's just.. not good at teaching. He tends to get off track telling funny stories and jokes and he's very nice. He allows us to ask him questions after class, which is a plus! His tests are OPEN BOOOOOK! His class is easy if you read his slides and study the textbook.
bastos is pretty entertaining. his stories are okay, but doesnt have to do anything with chem. his tests are "challenging" which means VERY tricky but most pple get like 70s. hws are so tidious bc they are due b4 12am on sundays... im not sure if his exams tests your knowledege or the capability of figuring out his tricks. =/
He's the worst teacher ever. It's almost impossible to avoid his class if you're trying to get into a medical block. Word of advice: Dont go to class, since all his notes, exam questions and homework questions come directly from the textbook. Also the effort you put into the test may not meet your expectation since his tests are extremely tricky.
Don't bother going to lecture. Just read the textbook thoroughly. Open book tests. Drops lowest test grade. HW every week to be submitted sunday by 11:59. Dont wait till last minute because the site will be so slow that you may not be able to get on and submit each answer one by one. HW grade can replace one test grade. His tests are VERY tricky th
You can get by without going to class if you do the HWs and read the textbook and notes, but the problems he illustrates in class are helpful. Tests are open book, but VERY HARD. HW is tedious, but you'll get a good grade and it counts as one test score, of which the lowest is dropped. You'll get as much out of this class as you put in.
Plain and simple...teach yourself. His lectures have do not have anything to do w/ his tests which although they're open book are EXTREMELY hard. Use the txtbook, print and study the notes, go to the tutoring sessions and you should be fine- just don't expect him be much of a teacher.
Just read the book and practice questions and you will be fine in his class. I don't bother much showing up for his class. He gives homework for extra credit. Exams are not complicated, just need to read and apply. Exams are also open book.
Professor Bastos is organized. His powerpoint slides are just for himself...you have to read the textbook in order to follow up better. Textbook is not hard to understand. Do the hws every week bc like the others say if you miss a test this can count for it. 4 exms, one of which is the final, HW Assignments count as a test. xms arent bad, study! =]
You guys complain too much. This is college for crying out loud. We aren't babies anymore. If you can't take this than you probably shouldn't be at college. Just work hard because there's no easy way out of this.
He's really smart and is a nice enough guy... but that doesn't make up for the fact that he can't teach! He shouldn't be teaching chem at this level. His lectures are too basic, they don't teach to the level of his exams. This class is like buying a chem textbook and teaching it to yourself.
this class is all about teaching yourself. it's fine if your willing to do the work and read the textbook on your own. if not, avoid at all costs, you will fail miserably. his lectures give the basics of what you are learning, you need to reinforce it with the textbook. if you make this class your priority, anyone could get an A.
If you passed you Chem Regents in high school with an 80 or above, you will pass his class for sure. Don't go to his lectures if you don't want to. Make sure you understand the materials by reading the text book. easy A!
His class is fairly easy taking that you study on your own or in groups. His homework?s reflect a lot of the material found in his exams. He gives plenty of help after class and during his office hours. Does respond to emails. Attendance is not mandatory but do STUDY on your own!! ? do not wait till the last minute, AND DO the extra credit assignme
One of the worst I've ever had in my life. He talks about grades being earned and not given, but even when you earn your grade he finds a way to take points off! Plan on spending a lot of time with your text for this class. He is completely incomprehensible. Won't make appointments with students and ignores emails. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
He is pretty ok but his exams are HARD even though its open book. I studied from the textbook becuz his tests do not reflect his lectures. the textbook will be your guide.
He's a cool guy, even if he has corny jokes. Chem is hard guys, so you will definitely have to study hard, with him or not. 3 tests, 1 final, drops the lowest grade. HW EVERY week, due Sunday, never forget. Lab is a pain in the ass, but you'll get through it. Study Study Study!!!
You will never get bored in Prof. Basto class.
To be honest he teaches chemistry at a beginner's level which makes you think ok this can't be that bad, you get it. The homework comes in and it hits you in the face, none of it was in lecture and some stuff he explains gets confusin. Or you go and take the test and you don't know anything. Basically this class is teach yourself and not at all eas
Even though his tests and quiz are open notebook, u might think its easy and not study, don't fall into the trap, he gives easy practice problems before test but the test is nothing like it, read the book dont just go by his lectures. He wants to see who is lazy and go by the notes he gives and who is smart enough to actually study from textbook
u think the material is simple while in his class but wait until you see the hw problems and test ?'s..the test on stoichiometry &gases was the toughest.. didnt reflect wat we did in class at all. STUDY! if worse comes to worse, bring a laptop for his exams and google the ?'s..horrible handwriting and he does calculations too fast to understand
Hard course, you really need to depend on the textbook. You will learn much more from the book then you ever will from him. Homework every week is a real killer; the hw is really hard and doesnt reflect what he lectured that week. Tests are openbook but its too difficult to find what you need in that little amount of time
Pretty horrible professor. Easy class, but not much learning going on.
One of the worst professors I've ever had. He goes so fast in class and spends an unnecessary amount of time reviewing easy basic concepts and leaving 5 minutes for the hard stuff! I lost the 10 point curve on a test for forgetting to put the exam type on top of my test. This isn't a hard subject, but he makes it as difficult as possible. HEARTLESS
He thinks he is the coolest guy, but really he is lame. He yells at you in German. He is very obnoxious and not helpful when asking questions. He lets you have open book, but the tests are too hard to finsih. Open book does not help. NEVER EVER TAKE THIS PROFESSOR.
He's funny and makes chemistry interesting. "Always remember", he said, "chemistry is easy, english is hard."
One of the funniest guys i have ever seen!!! Cracks jokes in class all the time. U should definitely take your own time and study b/c chemistry is not easy. Tests r doable, but u need to study a lot.
One of the funniest guys i have ever seen!!! Cracks jokes in class all the time. U should definitely take your own time and study b/c chemistry is not easy. Tests r doable, but u need to study a lot.
Bottom line: he's a solid professor who will care about you, if you put in the work and the time. His humor isn't my style, and he can get a little short-tempered, and his sarcasm isn't helpful in class. But I learned a lot and I think he knows how to teach Chemistry. Do I want to be his buddy? No, sir. Would I recommend his class? Yes.
Bastos is a fair professor. He teaches well. You should at least skim the chapter before going to class. His grading system is a bit vague which is annoying. He also doesn't listen to his students, answering the question he thinks was asked rather than what was actually asked.
he gives really good notes. he also gives you his own formulas that make more sense than the textbook ones. he's a corky guy, not that hard as everyone says. don't take his 'cheat sheets' for granted, you do need to study. exam questions can be a little tricky but he drops the lowest grade anyway so you should be fine if you understand what you rea
I took this class in the summer and Bastos made it very bearable. He always tried to wake up the class by making them repeat that "chemistry is easy and english is hard" drops the lowest grade on hws and exams. lets you have cheat sheets. very helpful and explains things clearly. read the textbook if you're confused but other hes perfect.
In my opinion he is not a good professor. He moves too quickly through the material and his example problems. He does not listen to the students when questions are asked or when asked to slow down. The test questions do not always reflect what was taught in class. Throughout the course his grading was very vague and frustrating,Do all the homeworks
Horible. He has his own way to solve th problems from the homework. He changed the chemistry to mathematics...He is not good teacher. He love himself and think he is the man of the world which make him ridiculous. He says"englis is hard chemistry is easy". I would say:" English is hard, chemistry is horible with teachers like Bastos"
This guy love himself. He say "english is hard, chemistry is easy". I would like to say "English is hard, Chemistry is horible if you take bastos". He make chemistry more to look like a mathematics. His exams are tricky. If you take him prepare yourself to stay long days and nights solving the homeworks :(
he is a great teacher! loves chemistry and gets across the ideas clear
He tries to help but he's not very good at it. Besides that he is a good teacher; very enthusiastic. As long as you read the textbook, you'll be fine. He tends to make problems more complicated than they really are. Just do the questions at the end of the text and review his quizzes and you'll get an A.
Fast unclear lecturer. Will not stop to answer student questions or slow down. assigns a ton of homework which is not helpful for his tests. tests have nothing to do with lecture. like taking an advanced math class. no theory.
I was left astounded by how much work I was given.
Tough Professor but teaches well.
Challenging but engaging class. Lectures break down topics well. Using unstuck study and the free textbook helped me ace this course. Definitely worth taking, just stay focused and engaged.
