Very- perhaps the best- talented. He's a genius; even Deeba can attest to that; he needs to be out in the field and not teaching though. Does not have the patience to teach.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! I know of at least 4 people in this class who are taking it again.
HE IS A HORRIBLE INSTRUCTOR. I don't doubt that he knows his material, BUT he SHOULD NOT be a professor. No patience, No help and EXTREMELY RUDE!

I had this teacher. I passed the class. I dont think he is a horrible teacher. I know that I am not good at Math and was happy with a C.
He is an OK teacher. Stats is a hard class, so you have to do the homework in order to do good on the tests. Gives partial credit for answers on tests if you don't get it right. He doesn't take attendance--only cares that you show up for test.
I got an A, but it wasn't b/c of him. I am really good at math. He is very hard to understand and gets angry when you ask him questions. His tests are not that hard.
The material is hard and he can be rude, BUT he can teach the material, and if you ask questions he will go back over. Sometimes he is hard to ehar but he writes everything on the board!!! The test are hard if you don't fully understand the information!

You MUST do the homework assignments to pass his class. He doesn't speak loud and will embrass you in front of the entire class. He'll go over the HW and exam problems. He critics the test and will take off for petty things. I would take him again.
He is hard because of the nit picking points he takes off for each test. Speaks very low, sit close! Not a very nice person and doesn't like to explain things to you. Make him explain it until you understand because he will take off pts for stupid things.

If you can stand being taught without the professor giving eye contact while lecturing-he is the 1. If rudeness does not brother you-he is the 1. If you ask questions, and you do not expect a clear answer-he is the 1. Be Aware!!!!!!
If you have a problem with thick accents and do not like rude people then do not take this class. If you have no other choice than to take his class, take notes and do the homework and you should not have a problem getting an A.
I actually liked this professor A LOT better than LeDuc. This guy does mumble & seem like he went out late partying and forgot to change his clothes, but I was able to understand him & pass his course. Yes, he didn't seem to care too much for the students, but he showed up & did go over problems.

I don't know if he is **** or high, but he's always 3 sheets to the wind. Arrives 15 minutes late and then goes 15 minutes over. He mumbles, he's very rude, and very unhelpful. You'd be better off taking the course online. He's by far the worst professor I've ever had.
I took Stats two times before I took him and I failed both times. I passed his class with a B. He makes it easy and does not give you extra info. I don't like math but I would recommend him. He does have an accent and dresses sloppy but he is a good teacher.

He is not very patient but he really knows his material. He is very thorough and does not mess around. As long as you take notes and do not miss class, you can pass the tests and do very well. I highly reccomend him.

He has mastery of the subject but he is an inadequate communicator. He mumbles, and what little language is audible is unintelligible. Picture Austin Powers on dope who can calculate large equations in seconds. Lots of dope.

I always considered myself average in MATH. However, when I got to this class I could not understand the teacher. He wears the same cloths everyday and it seemed as though he was **** or out of it. He doesnt return any phone calls/emails, rude and doesnt like to help if having trouble. If classes fill up and hes the only class left just wait!
this is a super easy class...I got 32 in the beginning of class cuz I didnt go to class...but the final I got 98 which is a easy test so in the end I got a B...I would recommend this instructor to other student if you dont want to put too much effort in this class.
He's ok. Sometimes you can't really understand him, but other than he's an ok professor. He tries to help. His tests are not that hard, you just really have to study and do the homework, and practice. He pretty much tells you what's on the test.
You cannot understand him. He is constantly late for class. The only reason I am did so well is because I had already taken this class a previous semester and remember some of the stuff.
Despite all the negative comments posted about him, his class is actually quite easy even though I only received a B. Practice the HW problems he assigns, and you should do well on the exams. There's bonus points for each exam and I think he curves your final grade. I would have gotten an A had I not always procrasinate 4 hours before each exam.
Took him for Cal III and Stats. He's very smart. Not for slackers. Must practice homework problems although it is not mandatory to do them. Having the solutions manual proved to be quite useful in both classes. It took a lot of work but barely missed getting in A in both classes. It is definitely possible though
He does have a accent..but understandable. Go to the class do the homework problems, although not mandatory will help you with the exams.
He has an accent and is hard to understand sometimes, but his hand-writing is very neat and easy to follow. Homework is not mandatory, but you SHOULD do it if you want to pass the tests. One thing I hate is that his final exam is accumulative which is overwhelming. I've never had an accumulative math final before until this class!!
Took him for linear algebra. Professor is an idiot. He has no interest for the student, grades unfairly, and doesn't provide feedback on scores in a timely manner. He doesn't give partial credit for anything. He consistently was late for class.
He is not good in teaching and he often forgets! his Tets are easy and Final is very Easy! he gives you some extra points which helps a lot! overall, its a average class! if you r not good in math, do not take him.
this guy has a strong accent and is not very helpful with students. He doesnt care much about students or your grade. I took the final a day earlier because i had to fly out the following day (final exam day) and he did not want to give me the 25 different formulas for the final exam.!

I believe that he is a good teacher...You need to study ...he tecahes what he is going to give on exams...he makes this class easier not going through on hard terms..just discuss things which is going to come on exams...this is an Easy A class...just you need to do homework problems and you are fine:)

Current ratings don't give this guy justice. It's an easy A and I hate math. People forget to mention his easy grading scale. Also all of the content is covered in class. Although he does have an accent, just take notes and copy examples to review for test. Not too bad.
He's not helpful, and his English sucks. But it's an easy A as long as your not a math idiot and can grasp basic concepts. He gives you formulas, drops a test, doesn't collect homework, and does tons of sample problems. You have to TRY HARD to get a C or below. A for the math savvy kids, B for the math disabled kids.
If Math is not your strong subject DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. He is not helpful, you either know it or you dont..that simple.
Disorganized and usually late. Gives out so many points its hard not to pass, the homework is extra credit and counts for like 15% and the tests are worth like 700 points, but the grading is on a 600 point scale. Must be mentally retarded to fail.
He is an excellent professor. Attending class is important because he gives you step by step examples. Study all class notes and you will do fine. EXCELLENT math teacher!!!!

He is ten minutes late every day, but he is an excellent teacher. I recommend going to class every day because if you miss just one class you can get behind. Tests are exactly like that problems and examples he does in class and he is very thorough.

great guy. gives 4 tests. each test was out of 118 so 18 point bonus point/curve. He drops 1 of the tests. final was 150/228 points another curve. GREAT Prof!
Great instructor his formulas are very detailed if you write exactly from the board. They help with hw assignments and there is no fail to this class. REQUIRES responsibility and determination but that's a given in college right? Got a C cause I did not do enough HW.. I'd still reccomend.

Worst professor I ever had. This class is difficult and he makes it more difficult. He is so rude with students, his test are different from homework problems and class problems. Tests are hard and long. If you care about to pass the class AVOID this professor; his grading is tough.
Dr. Simeonov is among the best professors of UHD. After 150+ credit hours, no other professor showcased a more articulate and concise teaching style than his. He is moreover mightily generous and readily available for consultation; he will candidly go that extra mile for you. I am afraid that the posts downgrading Dr. Simeonov lack much maturity.
You have 4 tests (drops lowest) plus the final (department final). All his tests are 9 questions and you have to show all of your work, no multiple choice. He is always late, and wants to keep you late, but the homework he assigns is for your review, you don't turn in. He has no sense of humor, but is a good teacher.
The main thing I though wasn't fair was him taking points off if you wrote extra work even when the answer is correct. He uses up at least half of a red pen on each test when grading. This subject isn't his strongest one. He'd get confused on problems and we'd have to help him using Chegg. He'll throw in a few extra points here and there.
You have 4 tests (drops lowest) & departmental final. You have 4 EASY assignments using excel. Homework does not need to be turned in. He LOVES to used red pen on tests! Last test is hardest so make good grades on others. One thing I didn't like was he will write something then say '"you don't need to know that" after he confuses the whole class.
This Teacher, hates the Calculus 10th Edition by Ron Larson (Author). 1. he does not have a set lesson plan. meaning he does not know what HW to assign until the end of class and they are random. 2. he will solve the problem cold, he won't know the answer until he solves it 3. constantly blocking the board 4. do it his way or points off.
His tests are nothing like he teaches during class. expect to learn everything yourself. very hard to understand. I took him for calc II and the his grading system was horrible, four tests for the entire semester no homework or extra credit. If you care about your GPA don't take this professor
Simeonov does not have a set plan. He reads from the book, and does examples from it. Even so, you can still learn, but you have to practice on your own. The homework is not mandatory, but it will help you get that A.
Look this is all you have to do to pass his class, read the assigned sections do the problems at the end that he assigns and you'll get an A. Any time I see his name pop up for one of the classes I plan to take I always choose him. He is pretty straight forward. His classes consists of 4 exams and a final and he usually drops the lowest exam.
Professor is a really touch grader. You must show all work or he will take off lots of points. He loves to mark up your paper. I would not recommend taking this professor.
He is the worst professor I have ever had. He has a really bad accent with very low volume and monotone. Its really hard understanding or hear him. Not a good teacher, not a good person. seemed like he was stuck in a class he did not want to teach. the class average in his exams was in the 60s and he really struggles to explain. Pretty much just writes down what he reads in the books and show how to do problems. At higher level each problem is unique and he does not seem to understand that.
Horrible teacher. Does not explain what he does or how he solves a problem. If you ask him a question about the problem he gets annoyed and treats you like an idiot. Doesn't give a review for his exams. Better off learning from the book yourself.
Do not take if you have other options. Literally he just solves problems from the book and thats your lesson. I had home for cal 2 worst mistake of my life. Also he goes really fast. You need to be good at math if you pick him.
He doesn't exactly teach. He basically just works out the problems for himself on the board and expects you to understand his way of teaching which is way different than the book. He works on the problems as if its just for him, goes pretty quick and erases as he goes, which sucks because he gets in the way so I can't write down the problem myself.
Awful, doesn't teach. Knows the material but does not help any student understand it at all. Just stares at you with a judging look if you do not understand. Marks any minor thing incorrectly and will deduct more points than should.
I signed up for a prof with a great rating and they changed it last minute. I was stuck with him and he doesnt explain any material at all. Very monotone and thick accent.

His class consist of him calling the authors of the textbook the r word and getting frustrated at the stupid word problems. I cannot even sit through the lecture anymore. He accuses us of cheating all the time just because we do not show the work the way he wants us to. I actually wanna drop out of college because of him 0/10 do not recommend.

When you get your first exam back you might have a heart attack because he scribbles with his stupid red pen all over your exam even if you got stuff right. Exams are proctored with zoom, if you dont write your name or turn your camera on you fail!
He is one of the best professor i have ever had. His explanations are clear. He will give you exams only. All the questions are from his notes. Just pay attention to his lecture, ask questions, and you will pass. Easy A . I will definitely take him again for my other math classes.

Only good thing I can say about his class is that he posts his notes and doesn't require attendance. However his only grades in the class are tests and gives no review for these tests. Just tells you to review however many sections the tests are over. Won't take any other classes he teaches

This is a face to face class, yet he teaches out of the textbook and posts the notes and homework on Blackboard. I had a delay in admissions that caused me to register for classes late, yet he expected me to be completely caught up. Why this isn't just an online class is beyond me.
Avoid this man at all cost. I had to teach myself from youtube. If you don't do it his way for the exams he will take off credit. This is a fail class. You're lucky even if you pass this class. The grades are only exams and mini test. The way he teaches is the way a teacher should never teach. Please don't take him. I met some friends in there!
Do not take this man. Ask questions and he will look at you like you should already know from what hes previously said. Grades come from Tests and mini tests, but beware of going to the bathroom. Student was accused of cheating cause he was gone for too long even though the bathroom is on the opposite side of the building.
He is a good math professor. He dropped the lowest grade of exams. He allows to take mini test at home. In addition, he always took pictures of his lectures in person and posted them on Canvas so that students could easily follow his lectures. His words in lectures are very clear to see. Recommend to all students to take his class.

So much writing and asking him any questions prepare for a judging look. He writes exercises from the book, but then the exams have impossible questions you can't even begin to know where to start. He gives points based on the work; if you don't write down something, he takes off a point.

The positive reviews are lies. He does not allow take home mini tests, and he does NOT have reviews for tests. Gets aggravated easily if you ask for clarification. Says students blame his attitude on their grades, but fails to realize student grades are a reflection of his teaching.
I don't recommend to take him if you are not ready to have a hard core professor. He grades rough. If you don't do the work just like him he would take points off. You have to show all work just like how he does it, if not you won't pass
If you're failing he blames it on you and not himself. Complains about the textbook he has to use, about other professors not knowing how to teach, doesn't do reviews, doesn't do finals prepping, and complains if you don't show up to lectures. Don't post the grades on Canvas. You have to look at your myuhd to see what the final grade is. Avoid him!
Professor Simeonov has a specific teaching style, but if you engage with it, the class can be manageable. Attend lectures, use the textbook, and try Unstuck study - it really helped with my prep.

Tests have bonus points, making it easier to pass Cons: Gets annoyed when asked questions if it's not about the homework, constantly bashes the textbook/author, throws markers when they run out of ink, compares himself to other professors, makes you print your own formula sheet/tables
Simeonov does not take the time to truly go over and explain the reasons behind the math. When taking him for Probability & Statistics, I feel like it is crucial to explain why each distribution does what, and what each parameter means for it. Instead, he flies through the textbook examples and heavily critiques it every. single. class.
Very strict grader, Math problems have to include every single notation in order to get every point ,getting the right answer is not the only requirement. Only allows a formula sheet on test, Very high expectations for students.
He is always late to class. He reads problem from the book and works on it on the board and expects you to learn that way. He gets mad if you ask him questions about a problem he did on the board. He is a very tough grader he removes points if you do a minor mistake or if you dont solve the problem the exact way he did it.
I dont know why this prof has such bad reviews. If you are ok with math, you will be fine. Exams are like the homework and its not mandatory to complete. He has very extensively worked out each problem you need to know for the homework, which like I mentioned, helps for exams. Cal3 is easy with him.
