I tought he was fair as far as grading. Gave plenty of class-time for group work. Was always available at his office or after class for advice.

This was a tough class. I learned a lot but the tests were very tricky. Gupta seemed like a nice person & was available for help when needed. Just don't underestimate the difficulty of the tests. I gave 110% and it was only good enough for a B.

Write down every word he says during lecture because his tests are hard, and clear as mud. Lecture material and marketing techniques is about 10 years old. Got a B and was happy to get it.

Great professor. He kept telling us how hard the class was going to be, but it was VERY easy. Tests come straight from lectures...easiest since my gen-ed's. You just have to go to class to pick up on everything. Can be a little boring too, but I've seen worse.

The questions for the test come primarily from the in class notes that he gives. You can study the notes and do fine on the test. He wants everyone to do well, so he usually has extra credit assignments and a curve on the test. He is hard to understand sometimes but overall a good professor.

Don't but the book you won't need it at all. Dr. Gupta is a great teacher. Work hard on the project and cover everything he tells you to cover. If you do that then you will get an A. Class is not too hard and I liked going to class.

I'm a management major and needed another class and chose Mkt 447 which is Technologies in Marketing. Gupta was awesome, there is no textbook, just some group work and individual projects and 2 tests. I was expecting a B in the class and walked out of there with an A!!! So I highly recommend you take Gupta for any marketing class possible!

Gupta was amazing. He kept the class fun and the group project was pretty enjoyable. He doesn't post his slides so you do have to take notes, but the notes are pretty basic. Attendance isn't mandatory but important for participation. He shows a lot of videos and websites that he does test you on. His tests are not very difficult, study the notes.

Dr. Gupta is the absolute best professor I've had at WSU. International Marketing is a very helpful class for marketing majors, but even more so for international business majors. The information learned in this class is important, and Dr. Gupta teaches it in a very easy, understandable way. There is a bug project but it is very fun and doable.

Dr. Gupta seems to really care about his students. However, his powerpoints are pretty dated and he is not very challenging. The group project is annoying because there are almost no guidelines. If you are looking for an easy A, hes your guy. If youre actually trying to learn, he may not be the best choice

Professor Gupta is a gifted marketer and a caring professor. Along with in class lecture, he uses his professional contacts to aid his students in their internship/job search. The lectures don't cover any really mind-boggling concepts, but the tests also cover case studies and current event articles. I'd definitely recommend taking Professor Gupta.

Dr. Gupta is a kindhearted man. His intentions are in the mindset of what is best for the students. He loves to give extra credit on exams, but beware, there is no specific guideline as to what will be on the exam; However, if you listen to his lectures you will be more than prepared. The group project doesn't have much of a guideline either.

The only grades for the semester came form 3 tests, a group project, and some extra credit opportunities. The class will be much more difficult than it needs to be if you skip lectures, fail to take good notes, and choose not to study. Tests are not hard if you have studied enough and understand the concepts. Study and you can pass easily.

Instead of drowning in slides/material, we focused a lot on interesting case studies (Nike,google,etc.) & current events. Simply show up, exams are fine. This class teaches you a lot about international marketing. There were three exams and a group paper/presentation. The exams are not meant to trick you, if you do what is needed (read the book, pay attention in lecture/take notes,&read the cases) you should do well. Participating in the lectures really helps the material stick too! Good guy

Dr. Gupta is a great professor. All of the notes can be printed out and anything he says during lectures could be on the exams. You'll do a research group project, and learn how to work with SPSS and Qualtrics. If you don't understand the project or notes, ask questions he'll answer them. He cares about his students and their grades for the class.

Professor Gupta was a great professor. I learned a lot from his lectures and as long as you read over and study his power points you will do great on tests because he always curves them. Wants you to get a good grade and will mention that many times over the semester!

Great professor that offers a lot of extra credit. There is an assigned textbook, but as long as you look at his power points youll be good for the tests.

Class format: watch the weekly lectures and finish the discussion post assigned. The grading consisted mostly of 3 MC exams with 10% of the grade being discussion posts. The exams are noncumulative except a 15 question final exam worth 5% of the grade. Lectures at a slow pace allowing for great notes. Hope to take a class with him in the future.

I have had him 2 times and about to take him a third time. His classes are straight forward and pretty simple. I have never bought the book and have gotten an A or B both times. Just listen to the lectures and take notes. He doesn't test over anything he didn't cover.

Dr. Gupta is a great teacher for marketing classes. He is very thorough as to what he is expecting from you. If you show up, participate, be a good team player, you will receive a high grade. For his exams, You should pay attention to in-class lectures and mainly his PowerPoints.

This professor taught the material well and with experience. The course material was insightful and I would love to have him for another class! He gave out a curve on the final that had bumped my grade up a letter! Thanks to this generosity I was able to get all A's last semester!

Really nice professor, and it doesn't hurt that the class itself is very easy. Always gives a good exam study guide and none of the homework is too overwhelming.

Professor Gupta makes the class material engaging. The tests are tough, but with the curve and use of resources like unstuck AI, you can still do well. Definitely take this class if you want a rewarding challenge.
