very demanding teacher, takes points off for not graphing right even if you know how the graph looks but are horrible at drawing!!!
Great Math teacher!
Great teacher! Pay attention to short lectures, take good notes. 3 tests + 1 comprehensive. She's so willing to help and can explain math very clearly.
HARD!!!! She don't help at all and her test hard!!!
she's a good teacher but her class is freakin hard. her lectures are very fast paced and you have to pay good attention. she starts on time and never misses a class. don't take her early in the morning. her tests are hard because she doesn't give you the formulas. she is willing to help you though and she's funny
u may feel her test are hard at beginning like what i feel, but my test grade improved every time, once u get to use what is going to be like on the test, u will be fine, i thought i may end up with a C at beginning, but i ends up with a A at the end, overall a good teacher, if u want to take morning class, u need to sleep well.
So hard.very fast paced, quiz over EVERY section so almost once or 2X a wk. test are hard and i studied alot.takes off for not CURVING the graphs well even though its correct!Sometimes she gets lost in what shes teaching.DONT TAKE HER.!attendance mandatory, no review, goes over my math lab quest, which arent even on test instead of going over test ?
very hard, bad grader , she takes points for every thing. don't take her. she teaches very fast .you will get lost
I am crying for this class. So nerve. I take both chem and biol are my time to study less than this class and not stress as same as this class. she give alot of homework online but grade only 10%. test too hard, too low grade.
She may talk fast in class and sometimes have mistakes and confused points in class, but she is very nice to you and always is ready to help you until you understand completely. Her test covers the main things that you need to know. Take her classes and enjoy them as well as you can. Do not rate her before you really try your best to study Math!
She crams a lot of stuff for one test, so it's a lot to study and comprehend, but otherwise she's pretty good and its not that hard a class
She does not like to teach. You go to the tutoring sessions at Richland and the tutors are confused as to what this teacher is teaching! She is a very bad grader! Takes points off for no reason or explanation. Her for any help is to study harder. But my question is WHAT! Drop this CLASS NOW!
OMG! Don`t take this class. Her test are hard you will not know how or why she takes off. She doe not go over her test. No help.
(STATS) Take her ONLY if you have a strong math background otherwise its a mistake i have an alright math background and thought it was confusing but still made it with an A (never studied so much in my life was taking CHEM and AP at the same time!)
I have taken good chances to work with her in answering my confused questions. I would like to say she will be the good teacher for students that always have good learning attitudes in her class and keep learning hard throughout the whole semester. Do not wait until her test starts for cramming up everything. You will see she is helpful overall.
She understands math but cannot explain it
Very good teacher. Helpful. She gives a lot of homework on My Math Lab, but it prepares you for tests. She will go over any question you have. I was intimidated by her at first, but she warmed up. I worked very hard to make a B in the class. I recommend her. But you have to go to class and do the work.
I am not agree with those who said she is hard. actually she is easy and helpful if you study like a college level student
She is the worseeee teacher of math at richland campus. stay away from her. her tests are so hard and long and she takes off alot of points for no reason on tests and did not go over the tests.Give alot of homework other than the online homework.By taking her you putting yourself in biggg trouble. I will not recommend her.
I think this professor is very good. Professor always helps me when I have any questions. I got A in this class. However, you must work hard.
Dr. Schulle is a great professor! Extremely smart and helpful. Her class was difficult for me; I had never studied so much for any class as much as a studied for hers. Either way, I worked hard and received an A. I recommend her only if you have above average math skills. Fun Fact: She talks in puns. :)
Unless you are a talented math student avoid this teacher. She is not a bad teacher but her tests do not reflect what she covers during her lectures. She suggests test study questions that are somewhat helpful though. If you do take this class expect a huge amount of study time at home. More than other classes. It's a fast paced class that should be taken by math/science majors. If you are not great at math and just need 1 credit, find a diff teacher.
Took her trig class over the summer and got an average of 105 on all tests. She always has a bonus worth 10 points. Pay attention and not be distracted by her messy hair. do mymathlab and email her or ask a question after class once in a while so she likes you:]
This is not an effective teacher by any means. She grades in a way that makes it seem like she doesn't want you to pass. Her lectures are confusing and disorganized and the tests are not fair.By far the worst math teacher i've ever taken.
This is an awful teacher. She knows a lot about math but knows nothing about teaching it. The material on the tests isn't covered in the lectures and she seems to take off points for unnecessary reasons. She is scatterbrained so the lectures get confusing quick. I regret taking this class so much.
mRS polly is a nice teacher, she is very helpfull , however very strict. If you wateva she ask you aint gon be in trouble. test hard , quizzes each morning, she is good for ppl who trynna be an enginer
Dr. Schulle is a fantastic professor! I never would have thought I'd succeed in (much less, enjoy) a stats class, but I did. If I have to take any other math classes, I will definitely look for classes taught by Dr. Schulle.
Worst professor I've ever had, by far. She doesn't care if you actually understand anything, just wants you to memorize things.
She is a bad teacher I ever have. don't take her class by any chance.
Dr. Schulle is a very intelligent woman. I learned a lot from her class. There wasnt an overwhelming amount of online homework assignments. She is helpful if you're willing to seek help. Her test grading isn't "hard", its exact. If you can write your answers in a sentence, it's "easy". I'd take her for all math class if I could.
she is the bad math teacher that I ever had, she knows the material but she never be nice to student. she always hurry and scared student with her test. her grading is hard. if you do everything right and your answer is wrong just by decimal point, that answer will be wrong and no point at all. her quizes in math lab will have time less than 10 min
She is very intelligent but hard grading. But if you are the student who wants to learn real math and do hard work. She is the right teacher for you. Dr Schulle is very smart, she knows the material perfectly.
Great Trig teacher. She really knows her stuff and is great at teaching it. She has a variety of teaching methods and assignments. She provides partial credit on tests. Took a bit of studying, but if you do enough you will get an A.
She is a good teacher with knowledge. She explains very clear. Although some people will feel she is hard, the class will let you learn a lot. If you hang in there until the end, you will find out you learn a lot in class.
She's so unhelpful that I'm speechless.
This teacher is not a good one. Her tests are very hard and she will tear your grade apart and give no partial credit. If you don't believe me then read the comments before this one. It is strange that the homework doesn't prepare you for success on the tests. The thing that destroys the grade of her students are the very hard tests.
This class is extremely hard. I used the book most of the time and the test was very confusing.
Taking this class online. It is very very difficult! I spent about 7 hours a day for several days studying for the tests and still got c's. She's VERY strict. doesn't give partial credit, gives handouts & replies fast, but isn't very helpful if you have questions. Get the Ti 84 (not 83) for this class. Do the practice problems in study plan.
I made an A in college algebra but for some reason I made an F in this class. About half of my class dropped so I am not the only one who knows this is an unreasonably hard class. The homework and online quizzes DO NOT help prepare you very much for the tests which is strange. I would only recommend this class to people I REALLY don't like.
I took her online statistics course during the summertime and spent nights doing homework and every other night doing quizzes. She was pretty tough in grading the test. The exams were straight forward but some questions may throw you off because this is a class that you must really study hard and show all your work. It was very fast paced.
She was very unhelpful and very rude when i asked questions. the material itself isnt very hard but she made the tests difficult somehow. but just study, i think you'll do okay
Not the easiest math course I've taken. Tests were pretty difficult, the book is useless, homework is worth quite a bit so its a nice boost. You must really learn to get a well grade in this class. (Trig)
Took her college algebra. Was fairly easy if you showed up and did the work. My only complaint in this class is that she did not once get in front of the class and help go over some of the more tricky areas. Basically the same class you would get if taken online except with the mandatory attendance.
Not the teacher to take unless you are willing to work much harder then any math class you have taken before. She is not very helpful and the homework doesn't well prepare you for the test so if your homework and online quizzes are looking good just remember that doesn't mean you will do well on the test and the test will make or brake you.
I am taking this instructor for Calc 1 online. She is very straight forward about when assignments are due but oh-my-gosh you will have to work for your grade. Assignments are due daily, plus additional writing assignments about once or twice a month. If you can keep up, the tests are a breeze, so do the work and you will be fine.
This professor would not go over a review before taking an exam and I would have no idea what I was doing. I could not make tutoring because of work and all my professor would tell me would be to just ask questions. I could of passed this course with more help from my professor.
I do not recommend this teacher. She wouldn't help me when I asked her to go over the problems I did wrong on the test and her tests look a bit funny in comparison to the homework. You have to show up for lecture even if you are doing excellent on the homework in order to make satisfying grades in the course.
Tough test grader. If you do not attend her class you will most likely fail. Her ratings are even worse when rated by students who took her class at UNT and I can see why her ratings are so low. I regret taking her hard course and she gives out take home assignments on top of the excessive homework. I would recommend taking professor Race or Kurtz.
She's probably the hardest professor I've ever taken. I wouldn't recommend this class unless you have a masters in college algebra. Test are very tough, and on paper not mathlab. Each question is very difficult. Please, I can't stress enough how much you need to read this before you take Dr. Schulle
Not a good teacher if you are looking to do well. Her tests have questions regarding the trig identities which isn't even mentioned well in neither the quizzes or homework assignments. The teacher wouldn't go over the problems I answered wrong on the test. It was as if this teacher didn't want the class to pass and I wouldn't recommend this teacher
I thought the test were so hard it is like being in a graduate course. You have to spend a great deal of time doing homework and you can pretty much determine what your average test grade will most likely be by your second test. I wouldn't recommend her because her class is hard but she does puns and I like her sense of humor but her class sucks.
Tough professor I wouldn't recommend to anyone. I love her math puns to death but I failed this class and I think it was designed to be too challenging by the professor. Don't take her and I cannot help but assume that there is a good reason why she doesn't teach at UNT anymore because she use to make her class even harder than it already is now.
I took this class online and spent 3 hours everyday studying and doing homework assignments. I dropped the class when one day I did a written assignment and she sent back a 75. I asked her what I did wrong so that I could improve on it for the next one and she just told me "Look at the key". That was my entire experience with her in a nut shell.
Warning do not take if you are not willing to put in the work and time. Actually do not take any calculus course if you are not. Calculus is not easy & coming from someone who started in Dmath. Lectures are clear and assigns hm on web assign. Exams are tough but if you do the homework & review the problems she assigns before the exam you will pass
Exams are tough TO DO IN THE TIME ALOTTED and if you do the homework & review the problems she assigns before the exam and know the material 100% you will just barely pass if you can race through exams. Calculus IS NOT DIFFICULT but she makes it difficult under the time constraints. Disappointing for the very best student!
Took Trig, Calc I, and Calc II online. Difficult tests, but they closely follow the homework so you know what to study. She throws some curve-balls on the questions so you need to know the concepts and not just the problems. You -will- understand Calculus if you can pass her class. She gives excellent notes on graded exams, but you must ask.
She is a good professor. She slowly explain every problem related to the topic . you can also ask her as many question as you want and she is willing to help. If you don't miss the class , you will succeed. It is not hard.
Horrible choice to pick. She makes the class so difficult and she is not very helpful. She seems kind but tough test giver and reluctant to do much towards helping you with more than just what her lecture provides. I wouldn't recommend this HARD teacher.
Not a good teacher an probably the worst compared to all math professors. She isn't very kind nor helpful when you didn't do the best on tests and you should know whether or not you will pass the class by the second test. Tests are tough that is why she drops multiple test grades and the majority of the class will still drop the course. Too tough.
Good teacher. Her classes are for serious students and those who are interested in math only. Do the homework, study for the tests. Practice makes perfect. Ask her if you have something unclear. Funny and very friendly. Would take her again.
If your only options are taking this professor or pushing your graduation date back an entire semester because there are no other math classes open and you need this last credit to graduate... WAIT AN ENTIRE SEMESTER AND TAKE ANOTHER PROFESSOR. Trust me, it will be worth it. DO NOT TAKE HER. She is unhelpful and rude. WORST PROFESSOR AT RICHLAND
Just like all Richland professors, she really is terrible. She shouldn't invest in teaching, not her lane. Obscure teaching and unfair tests. It's best to fire her.
Don't ever choose her for a class. She makes the class so difficult and she is not very helpful. She might come off as kind and helpful but has tough tests and her lectures are all over the board with no organization. She thinks she's funny but is not. Wait a whole year if you have to, to take a class that is required.
I wish I had read the reviews on this professor before I took her class. This was by far the most difficult class I have taken and I took organic chem while taking this course. She is rude when you go to her for help. Way too many quizzes. Homework due nearly every day. This professor makes it seem like her class is the only class you are taking.
DO NOT Take Any of Her Classes! I wish I had never taken her class. I read the comments on here before, but decided to take it to not push my graduation 1 semester. I thought I would do fine since I am good at math and I had gotten only A+ in all of the 5 math courses I've taken.I regret taking her. Even Math majors would fail her class. Rate -5
I wouldn't recommend this professor. Why she still has a job at Richland? I am not sure but it seems as though her goal in life is to make her students go through much distress. Her tests are tricky, by the drop date a big fraction of the class already dropped, and I barely passed. Please do not take her or you will suffer also.
I took her for both 1314 on campus and 1316 online. All in all, she is not a hands-on professor who will baby you through the work. If you are an adult and can work independently she is your person but if you are a whiny person who expects their grades handed to them on a silver platter, she is not for you.
i dropped her class! she was the hardest thing ever!! it was so hard i had to get in here and tell the rest of you guys! avoid her!!
I took her for Calculus one and two. They are both hard courses so don'y think you can skip class and still pass. pay attention and ask as many questions as you need till you can understand the Concept. i am in her cal 2 class with a 90.3 about to take the final. I would take her for 3 but she does not teach it. she wants all the notation on test s
It's a math class so yes there's lots of homework, at least 1 module a day. Tests are very hard. Small mistakes will kill your grade. She is helpful and does explain clearly. Not much time for each chapter to really learn the concepts so you fall behind if you have trouble or a slow learner like me. Does give bonus q's on tests.
Trig class online. Tests and final were done online and count for 80% of your grade. You have to scan and submit your work with the tests. If you get it right, points can and will be taken away. If you get it wrong, you won't get extra points for trying. Uphill battle. Tests are hard. Not enough time to show work and complete test.
Please understand meaning of level of difficulty. Calculus is hard. What makes this professor different is the requirement of every.. single.. step, and in full absolute detail, and only in her specific way. Your every question right will be an F due to superfluous requirements of "work shown". Your work will not be inferred, not. one. bit.
She is the worst teacher i have experienced in my collage life. no words to explain... JUST DON'T TAKE ANY CLASS WITH HER.
Please, do not take her. Very obscure lectures and rude teaching manners.
By far the worst professor I've ever taken, took it online over summer and I can't express how mean she is. You show as much as work as possible and she'll still find like one small thing and take off like 15 points. DO NOT TAKE HER EVER.
Worst professor I have ever had. She is a terrible communicator. She would knock points off for laughable things. Your line is too pointy. All answers correct 3/10. She is a tough grader in the sense that you have no idea what she wants. So you get hit for all these little nuances instead of your understanding of the concept and the correct answer.
This professor clearly writes out all steps to the problems. if you have any questions, she is willing to answer them even if you ask multiples times! She encourages students to ask for help and gives detailed test reviews. She demonstrates the process for each problem as she works it. She gives partial credit and a bonus question on each test.
I have her for Precalculus this semester. She is strict about notation, but she is very willing to answer questions in and out of class. If you have trouble with her class, go see her during office hours. She really helped me understand the material, and math is not my best subject! If you do the homework and ask questions in class, you'll do well.
So hard. hardest online class ever. almost didn't take her because i read the reviews, but they are so true. i had her for a maymester and it was impossible. i got to UT austin and i got literally a 70 in this class and barely too. dont do it
I am a straight A's student, and I love math. I aced my Calculus exam, and I am a student at UT Austin. This teacher made me hate math. I did not have time for all the homework so I just got the answers online. Super tough grader. I have a 70 right now. If i knew it was gonna be this hard I would have just taken it in UT. DONT TAKE! BEWARE!
She gives a lot of homework, but how else can you learn math? She is picky about notation, but she is willing to show you examples so you know what to expect. Students who complain just have not asked for help, because she promptly replies to every email and answers my questions.
Stressful! So much work and rude when you ask for help with questions
I have taken online classes before and Schulle has been by far the best online professor. The structure, organization and her allowing us to feel as though we personally her has made this course that much more enjoyable.
Took the professor in fall 2016 she gives a few extra assignments on top of the homework but it only helps you, the student understand the subject more. The test are decent she replaces two test grade with the mid term and final. With her if you put in the effort she will put in the effort in helping you. Great professor will take her again.
Professor Schulle was a great teacher she is very helpful and gives feedback. I took her Trig class online, things were clearly outlined in the syllabus and she followed it to a T.
BEST INSTRUCTOR. she is wonderful, nice, and caring. she reply fast to your email. All the works are very easy. Do the review assignments before the test; you will get an A on the test. The test is so easy . SEND YOUR WORK even if it passed the 30 minutes. TAKE HER CLASS and GET AN EASY A.
Dr. Shulle was an excellent instructor for my online Calculus 2 course. She provided quick feedback on requests including providing the solutions after our second test. Her grading strategies provide a safety net in that you can replace your lowest test score with the final. Would recommend you take her for higher level online math courses.
I wouldn't take a class with her again. I believe an instructor's job is to educate and inspire students neither of which I got from this class. Stay clear!!
Great professor. Had lots of homework but the professor was helpful in answering questions. Good reviews for tests. I would take her class again for sure.
Best math professor I ever had. Prepares you for the next course.
I highly recommend this professor. If you want to do well, ask questions. She is very helpful and will work out examples for you. Responds quickly to email.
Great professor. Prepared me well for the next class. Gives good test reviews.
Professor Schulle inspired me to do well. She was available during office hours to answer questions. I will take her for the next math course if she is teaching it.
I enjoyed the class and learned a lot. The professor was quick to answer emails and was very helpful. Would take her class again.
This class was not easy for me, as math is not my strong suit. However, Dr. Schulle is very helpful, so the other reviews saying otherwise are a bit confounding. Yes, you have to show your work and be precise, but that's what math is about. She was super helpful and walked me through step by step on stuff that I was very confused on.
I learned a lot in this class. The professor was very helpful and answered questions. She has a good sense of humor, too. She explained the material very well. The test reviews were good, too.
Just avoid at all costs.
One of the best math teachers I've had for people that aren't 'math people.' She really puts you in the position where you need to learn the material, but gives lots of extra credit. She tests you on understanding and learning the concepts and they are very easy if you do the homework. If you need trig as a pre-rec, she's a great choice.
Professor Schulle is a great teacher who truly cares about her students. Your final grade in her class depends more on whether you learned everything in the end, rather than when it came up on the first test. I really like her grading system.
wouldn't recommend
Avoid at all costs.
Will always reply to your emails in a timely manner and is compassionate about students. My first online class and it was a really great experience!
Horrible.
The class is ridiculously hard, my friend and I got B and A in Calculus I but we spend nearly 5 hours/day to do the homework! There are videos for each part to show you how to do the homework everyday but they are useless. Videos just repeat what is explained in the textbook! Hard quizzes? No instruction! 2-month flex-term with hw due everyday!!!
She is a great professor !!! Easy A all you to do it to follow what she is saying in class
I really don't understand why people are hating on this poor woman so much. When I took her Calculus I course back in '17, she was clear, consistent, knowledgeable, accessible, and very helpful if you had any questions about the material. It's thanks to her that I finally "got it" after years of trying and failing this course. Work hard, get an A.
