He is a billiant man, but he cant teach for his life! his accent was terrible and going to him for help (countless times) did not help me pass his class. I took it with another professor and did amazingly 100% better. This teacher screwed up my gpa!

Worst teacher at CSI. He would constantly walk over the window and stare outside for minutes at a time in the middle of talking. He has a very HUGE ego and doesn't like to be questioned. Stay FAR FAR AWAY from this man.

He is the worst professor that I have ever had. He will try his best to make you fail because he feels that a teacher who gives more D's and F's than A's and B's is simply a better teacher. I have spent so many times in his class hoping he would just quit and never come back. No Respect! He SUCKS

whoever sees this man's name on their schedule should drop him immediatly. He is paid to do absoultly nothing.He does not know how to teach and should not be allowed to go on teaching complicated subjects. Why the math department has not done anything about him is beyond me.

He is the worst of all teachers. His name spells him. MISRA for MISERABLE. He made the class soo boring, i wanted to drop. But it was too late, so I got an F in his class. Made me hate Math. Had an advise for you. If U see his name, RUN!!!!!!

If you get this professor, I suggest you RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!He is the absolute WORST!If he doesnt like you, your grade will be unfair, even IF you can understand him!Before this class, I was a math major. After having him as a professor I said there was no way in HELL I wanted to take math again!

horrible, don't like to teach just likes to talk all day

one of the worst Professors i have ever had. He never goes the extra steps for u to understand him, loves to skips steps in a problem to make u confused. Trys to make jokes to make the class fun, but its not. I advise you to drop this professor like a bad habit.

I am a grad student. I recalled I got a C from him. D was the ave.This is one of the worst professor I ever had in my college life. He is from India, it is very hard to understand him in the class. He claims that he wrote books for publishing, I think he is the only one understand the book. I think he should get fire and shame on him as a prof.

Very good teacher for any low level math class, preferably any level 100 classes. Any students taking a higher level math course please avoid misra at all costs. Tests have nothing to do with the homework, so you pratically have to guess how to answer them plus he always strays from the topic which is math not his life in india.

I can't even call this guy a teacher. He has failed at his profession for many years. He is very rude. He never stays on task. He wastes time he could be teaching. Just like any higher level math class.... study your butt off. But, do not take it with him if you want to learn from your Professor. Everything you learn will be on your own.

By the way, whoever rated Misra as awesome is probably Misra himself. The topic he's supposed to be teaching (History of Math Thought) is amazing, but he doesn't know ANYTHING about it! He really enjoys making people fail to make himself look smarter! He's really dumb!

This professor has Tenir at the college so unless you already know the work which is the case if anyone every passed his course, or have a lot time for tutoring, or just like wasting your money it is highly advisable not to take him.

Teaches 2 simple slope math questions in 100 mins. Class was pissed and reported him.

The worst professor in the world of mathematics... I took him for math 230. 6 hours of miserable pain... He can't teach and loves to philosophy about his car..... Btw he asks you to ask him questions when you don't understand anything... When you do he will flat out say shut up don't waste my time on this easy crap.....So if you take him good luck

You really can't understand what this guy is saying 90% of the time, he starts to drift off the topic all the time. When he actually tries to teach, you won't really understand what hes saying

Nice person. Bad teacher. I took his calculus 230 class and lab, 9 hours of hell a week. his strategies and approaches to teaching math are very confusing and unless u go to tutoring u will be absolutely LOST. I dropped his class cuz I didnt trust if he would give me a decent grade for my efforts if i failed his tests and final. DONT TAKE HIS CLASS

I took this because I had no choice. He is horrifying dont even think even though the reviews are bad to take him. By far the worst professor I have ever had. Loves to argue with students, hard to understand, gets side tracked way too much. He didnt even learn my name until 60% of the starting class dropped. Also the fact that other professors I had knew how bad he was says something. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Misra the Misrable. Avoid at all costs. All he cares about is the history of math and then screws you over on tests.

If you are reading this don't do what I did, GET OUT OF THIS CLASS. On the first day he actually explained to his class all the bad reviews!!! Constantly go off topic on everything. Homeworks he gives are hard to understand because he gives material that he has not actually covered in class yet. I have plans to drop this class and you should too!

if you want to tech your self calc1 then take calc2 tests take this prof. when you want to know how to find derivitive hes teaching you the history of the circumference formula cause its "cool". he failed my entire class on 2 exams and tenure protected him. csi did not once question maybe it was his teaching and we were out $1800. Had to drop 4 GPA

The first day of class was very interesting. Professor Misra read some text from the book and expanded on certain ideas. However, for the rest of the semester, classes were wasted going over ideas that could've been explained in 20 mins but ended up taking the whole lecture. Review sheets can be misleading. MUST READ THE BOOK or prepare to fail.

Misra gives incredibly difficult exams that are impossible to get a good grade on, even if you are an A level math major. Some (few) questions are straight out of the notes, but a 85% of questions are IMPOSSIBLE to know how to do based on what he actually reviews in class or even whats in the textbook. Dont take unless no other choice. Wont curve.

-Gives review sheet but doesnt go over them -Review sheet wasn't even part of the exam -Comes late and interrupts(for 10 mins) during the exams -Took the whole lecture just to answer one problem(very slow teaching and wasnt even on the exam) -Needs anger management classes -Doesnt give a curve and not a fair grader

I found Misra very confusing. He is not clear on what he wants you to know and finds anyway for you not to pass his class. You might as well study this on your own because he can't teach. Won't curve even if the whole class isn't doing well. Not fair at all and be aware of his temper- needs help on that. Go to office to be on his good side.

this professor should not be able to teach anymore, very slow and hard to understand and WILL make your semester much harder than it should be.

DO NOT REGISTER FOR HIS CLASS. If you are currently taking a one of his classes don't "tough it out" nor believe him when he tells you that he will work with you if your test grades are low, Misra holds students to an unfair standard while his teaching abilities are not the best. He is a smart person and knowledgeable but can't teach

Just awful. He teaches math by reading off of powerpoint slides for the 2 hours of class. Barely ever does the math. Very hard to understand and follow. Really disappointing.

Professor Misra was the worst professor I ever had. He taught using powerpoints based off the textbook and was very bad at explaining the math. He gave ridiculous quizzes and tests with questions we never saw in class, and didn't give us enough time to take them. He wastes the first 30 minutes of class ranting & doesn't understand students. AVOID!

DO NOT TAKE!!!!! Trust me this guy cant teach. Hes an unbelievably cruel grader and said he would help us but didnt. He refused to give partial credit because he doesnt have the time.

this class is the worst I took in my life the professor has a very bad accent where you aren't able to understand anything he gives power points from the book and tells you to read. NEVER ANSWERS EMAILS NEVER . he doesn't know how to teach at all. he just uses other professors work. he's exam are noting related to the topics he gives in lectures.

He is the absolute worst professor I have ever had. Spends 50% of the lecture talking about nonsense, then barely explain the topics while writing stuff on the board expecting you to already know what it all means. Takes 45 mins to do a 5 min problem with this guy, and he somehow doesn't explain it well either... If he explains at all.

The worst math professor CSI has to offer. DOES NOT TEACH. Asks if you have questions, if you do he will attempt to do the problem (but is completely incomprehensible).

im not the guy to write reviews but this is the worst professor ive ever come across. I got an A in calc 2 this class ill get a d cause of his wild grading policy. Just randomly deducting 75% off the problem for arithmetic, and cries like a toddler when you approach him about it. He gets lost in his work while lecturing. he needs to retire

Did not understand anything and its not just because he has an accent, his teaching was unorganized and he grades tests harshly.
