she explains very well. but u have to study hard
Dr. P (Dr. Rad) rocks! She's super smart and funny, keeps you on your toes.If you study her lecture notes and pay attention during lectures you will ace the quizs. Pracs are hard. Pay attention!
Took her for 203 & amazing! Though she is strict and makes you do work, her teaching are very clear and straight to the point. She'll make the class interesting.
Fantastic Dr.P. intelligence, knowledgeable, friendly, helpful & care about students.clear lectures, fun lab.do test review, give extra credit on midterm & final.straight forward tests.can get good grade IF you study hard -- handouts & pay attention in class. REMEMBER, SCB is a heavy course, need effort.
She is arrogant and rude. She does not teach, instead just reads PowerPoint presentations (which anyone could do on their own). Her tests in previous semesters were straight forward and now are tricky and go beyond basic mastery of the subject. you will still find the testing process confusing.I think she enjoys watching students fail. Bad teacher
Confusing, standards vary from semester to semester. Her lectures are useless because you will be tested on stuff you don't see in the lectures.
Do not take her class. She is not rooting for you to succeed. Even if you read chapter cover to cover, its not enough. She makes up her own questions, and they are a unreadable mess. She spends YOUR test time correcting HER test mistakes/typos. + she takes a LONG time giving back your tests (how hard can it be to run a scantron thru a machine?)
203 is insanely hard, and the quiz's are crazy, but Dr P can teach. She knows her stuff and is a really nice person (and hot). She does review, sits in study hall and explains stuff over and over again till you get it. To the one's complaining..try STUDYING maybe?!
Wow. you guys dont know how good you have it.. I have taken this class 2 times, and both professors were terrible. She is good, only strict and quiz's are hard. But atleast she's on the student side..I didn't do well but I have learnt more from her than the other two professors..
hard course. hard professor. no doubt...but loved her regardless..if you want to learn AND have fun take her.
her teaching style is not systematic though she has mastery over her profession. loves to give tricky quizzes (so called critical thinking). But takes care of students well. don't rely completely on her lecture, rather spend more time on the text book if you really need good grade.
Hard professor. Hard quiz's.No doubt the hardest course I have ever taken to date. I still loved her though..the most I have ever learnt will be in this semester. I admire her.
She is a nice person, knows the material That doesn't make her a good teacher. A teacher must be able to communicate their knowledge effectively. Her strenght is in research. With more experience she will be a good teacher but she is not there yet. Needs more experience teaching and understanding her role as a Professor not researcher.
I'm really surprised about these bizzare comments. Dr. P is very knowledgeable and is really enthusiastic about what she is teaching, it shows. She also really cares about her students and that they understand the material. She is kind and respectful and upbeat. I look foward to going to class(!!). She is a joy to have as a professor.
This class is difficult. I'm not sure if it matters wheter she is a good or bad professor because the material is hard. You may get better professor or worse. She's not worst or best. She's a safe choice.
She is demanding but she wants you to understand the material!I am very surprise about some comments in here! She is very clear when she explains something she has experience and she is a very fair grader! She wants her students to succeed.Bio is hard! You have to spend at least4h daily studying.Read the book not only her notes and you will have an A.
I had other science professors and they were better.
So, if she said:"this is very important"you will have it on the test! write every question that she will give you in the class and review because you will have it for sure! she is a very fair grader!you will not use the book because she has her own notes, and everything is from her notes!!! she is the best!
Currently taking her class. She is awesome, can't ask for a better professor. I did my research before I took her class, and I'm glad I did. My advise to future SCB203 takers - Don't slack off, it's a hard course, and it's hard for a reason. The semester's not over yet, but I'm going to miss you Dr. P =(
The best professor I had so far. If you want to lear the stuff, she is the right professor. Very demanding but helpful. I had great time at her class, miss it already learned a lot not only biology, but also how to critical think and apply knowledge. Great professor!!!!
She is the best professor.
Dr. P genuinely cares about her students' success and is transparent about her expectations and what the course demands. Her explanations of even the most complicated concepts were very clear. I highly recommend her. If you want to do well, make sure you use the study hall to look at models and take thorough notes in class.
She is awesome!!!!! Scb 203 is a hard course. All you need to do is to work hard and she will help you achieve your goals. She is so passionate about teaching. I enjoyed her class. keep it up prof!!!
awesome teacher definitely cares about her students and makes time to help you and review before exams her tests are exactly like her slides and she will let you know what to study for the test
She's a wonderful human being and an excellent teacher, someone who can make you think out of the box. Plus she's easy on the eyes ;)
REALLY DIFFICULTcan not believe the grade I got from her class, that my lowest grade of my all courses!
I highly recommend this professor. The semester is over but I really miss her. She is a wonderful teacher and a great person! Very clear, not that easy but fair.
Really nice professor but I didn't like new student seminar. Too much work for 2 credits. But she a great person and pushes you to excel and prepares you. Learned a lot from her
Dr. P has changed my attitude towards achieving my dreams. Her NSF class was a life changing experience. It's been an honor being in class with her.
Do not recommend! Her slides are pointless and don't make sense. She took 3 weeks to grade our midterms and by then it was too late to withdraw from the class. Her test questions are very confusing. I went from having an A in scb203 to failing scb204. She's very educated in anatomy, she just not good at teaching it.
Dr. P's lectures are very clear and straightforward. She writes on the board and explains slides. I got an easy A in my 203, but I have never studied this much in my life for 204 but I know that I earned my grade, she is def not an easy A, but I don't think I will ever forget this material. one of the best professors I have come across.
tough grader, trick you to stay in her class to not droop by not giving the mid-term on time. You will never have an A, pls give yourself a favor avoid her class.
Had to study overtime for this class, not easy to do with 2 kids, but she encouraged me the whole way through. I have not met any professor sin my life who care about my personal struggle and she did. She knows her material, really knows it. I would take her class again. great, kind professor
She's the kind of professor that you remember and look back on 20 years from now as someone who changes your perspective and view on life and learning. I'm so glad I registered for her class, I'm so glad I got to know her as a person. I have sat in her office for 2 hours trying to understand action potentials and not once was she frustrated..
OK. So NSF is like insanely writing intensive for 2 credits, really doubted the point of the class but then, but THEN half way through i relalize that dr.p helped me figure out what i am doing wrong in all my other classes. fun professor we did some really interesting activities in class.
Dr. P cracks me up! She is smart and funny, yeah hard to find ina prof these day. take her class yo.
Took her for 203 3 semesters ago and did not realize her worth, am in the Nursing Program now and I go back to her taped, recorded lectures ALL the time for a refresher. She's worth the tough A that I got. Super cute also ;)
AMAZING
worst professor ever ! no extra credit. test is difficult .
SCB 203 is definitely a tough course that you have to constantly work hard for. However, having Dr. P as my professor pushed me to my best potential. She is a fair grader but you have to work hard to earn that A. Her lectures are amazing and interesting and she explains concepts clearly. For me, she is one of the best professors in LAGCC.
Top 10 professor in LAGCC. I think the material can be harder.
Dr. P is approachable and does not talk to students. Study the lectures and textbook together. She expects you to understand the material more so than memorize. The one issue I've noticed is that she doesn't respond to her email very well. Also, proofread the questions to the quizzes. They are sometimes wrong or confusing.
This semester wasn't the best for me however, she is a very amazing professor, she cares about her students and wants to make sure her students understand the material. Although I didn't perform the best in her class because of the lack of discipline I had, I did enjoy her lectures and her energy towards the subject
She is a really good professor. The class within itself is very content heavy and you will need to study hard but she makes the class worth it. She explains things in good detail and always wants to see her students succeed. If you want to have a great experience in A&P take her.
There is a lot of studying but this professor always helped make things easier to remember, like applying it to different analogies. Follows the syllabus so there are no surprises. She goes through lectures fast to ensure she finishes all lectures by the end of the semester but will slow down to explain it further if you ask for help.
One of the the things that i like about Prof. P is her willingness to help the students. I can assure you that A&P is not an easy class but she will motivate you to work hard to get the grade you want. She is really clear and know what she's teaching & she makes lectures really interesting, which will make you want to learn more about the subject
I have never had a professor that was good at what it teaches. She is very thorough, her lectures are easy to understand. She is a great professor, if I had the option to take this class and choose the professor I would choose her. She is great at what she does.
Dr P is an amazing professor. She may seem a bit intimidating at first but she is real down to earth. She cares about her students and takes her time to ensure that everyone understands the material. She is always willing to help outside of class and is very fair. I would take her again for 204.
She is really good professor. I just love her lectures and really very helpful. If someone doesn't understand any topic she can go over and over again.
Professor preethi is one of the best professors I've encountered at LaGuardia. SCB 203 is a very difficult course but she makes it a lot easier with her detailed explanations and commitment to making sure everyone understands the material. She is tough but very dedicated and hands on. I wish she was teaching SCB204! She's the best.
A wonderful professor. Her lectures and ways of teaching are great and are easily understandable.
After taking a long break from school, I decided to go back and get a second chance at it. My program requires an A&P course. In the beginning of the semester I was terrified, but this professor made this class so enjoyable that I learnt to love the material. Dr. P is a great professor and mentor. I wish I can take all my classes with her.
It's the end of the semester and it looks like I'm finishing with a B/B+. Yeah, of course I wanted a higher grade, but that doesn't mean that Dr.P is a tough grader she's very fair. You have to work for your grade, the effort you put in shows. Dr.P is a great professor, I say that because she is very thorough, and you can tell she enjoys teaching.
Professor Radhakrishnan is amazing, she really cares about her students, and challenges our knowledge so that we can apply what we learn in real life. She even further explains in depth if the power points are confusing. Ultimately, she wants her students to learn the content and will do what she can so that you can successfully your major.
Professor P is a very understanding professor . Shes available to re teach the material if you dont understand. Just dont expect your grade to be handed to you. You end up actually learning.
Shell do everything she can to ensure you pass. You just need to do your part equally as much. She genuinely seems like she enjoys teaching what she teaches and loves science. Shes not one of those read-off-board professors, she explains concepts in her words well. Will provide you with resources to help you do well in class.
I am now a practicing Nurse, and I refer to my notes from Dr. P's A&P classes (204) often. I remember being so frustrated at her case studies, but she is the real deal. Persevere through, study hard and immerse yourself and push yourself to understand that she is one of LAGCCs few profs who understands, cares and respects our generation of students
The greatest anatomy professor in LAGCC. Very thoughtful, nice and respectful, fun and easy going, yet concerned about her students knowledge. I had the best time and got very inspired by her, she is a real gem, take her and you will never regret.
Picture this. It's finals week, you have been giving it your 100%, both your kids and you run a 102F temp, daycare refuses to take kids. I emailed her. She says, come take the exam if you can. She watches my kids whilst I take the exam! She brings coloring pens, crayons and toys for my kids. Yeah, she is one in a million.
Dr. P is one of the nice person first I can say that. She is really caring about her students. Quizzes are not hard. Respect her students. Human anatomy one of the hardest class but Dr. P make the class easiest. Her lab class is really the easiest.
she's great, really cares for her students, great human being and professor.
amazing professor, truly cares about her students and highly recommend her. a lot of professors should take notes from her
I cant find a word to explain her personality and knowledge. She is such a nice person. Very smart Professor. I learned from her a lots of things. Even A&P is a very hard subject she makes it easy understand. My English is not very well but when she explained I understand 100%Definitely recommend her. Take her she really cares about all students
Hands down one of the best professors I have had! Very hardworking and makes sure the students are prepared and have everything they need to learn in her class.
Dr. Preethi was amazing! You can see that she really goes out of her way to help her students. She made really difficult and overwhelming material less scary with the usage of lists, and study guides. Very understanding and fair!
She is best professor in LaGCC. Many professors have to learn from her. She put extra efforts to help us. Definitely take her, you gonna learn a&p in easy way. She is hard working.
Professor Preethi is one of the best professors I've had. A&P isn't an easy class if you don't read & study the text but she explains everything in a way where you can clearly understand. I had her through distance learning (online) and she worked with us so that we could get the most out of the Lab course & She insures her students can come to her
Prof. P is awesome, there is no doubt she knows her stuff. If you're confused she will make the time to bring you up to speed. Read your text and you will do great in her class. She is extremely accessible outside of class and study her reviews everything on her test is in her reviews and her slides. Text will fill in the blanks about concepts.
Took A&P as we moved to distance learning. Dr. P was incredibly organized. Especially in comparison to the class i am in now, I realize how much work must have gone into her classes to prepare. Her classes are not easy by any means, she makes you work - hard. But, she is approachable, and respectful and always available.
Anatomy class itself is a very difficult class (as to level of difficulty), so having Professor P who is very knowledgeable and approachable, makes it less difficult. She is an expert in her craft. Ask her any questions you have difficulty understanding and she will explain it further. Tip: Read before class to be well-prepared!
I really enjoyed this course with Professor P. She is very understanding and takes time to explain things outside of class if needed. Quizzes and exams are hard but it is all because we have to know our content and professor makes sure about it. No doubt that you can take this course with Professor P ! Thank you.
I like her voice, she speaks clearly and fast. She is patient and nice. I watched her every lecture record 3-4 times. If you spend enough time focus on her lecture you will be fine.
she is amazing and understanding
She has such an attitude and she gets frustrated when students asks her questions . She was worse Professor i have ever taken in lgcc.
Doctor P is an amazing professor, She knows her stuff, very professional and organized, A&P is not an easy class but she makes it super clear, Be prepared for the written exams, take notes (ALWAYS) and study for the practical exams as well and you will be fine, if you do your work, attend to class and participate, you will be fine. BEST PROFESSOR!
Get ready to take SCB20x by yourself. By lecture 20 she will have gone over maybe 5 of them. She has a website where she reused her previous lecture videos which have a ton of mistakes. Trust the textbook, not her words, or at least be very attentive if she mixes things up cause its often. She makes it a point to quickly whisper in them as well.
Dr P is a solid choice for lab professor. She's very clear about what to expect for exams and will let you know what is important to learn. Participation is important during her lectures. Requires a lot of self studying but as long as you do that, you'll do fine. You can tell she actually enjoys teaching, compared to other professors.
I just love her. Her voice is very clear and explains very well and makes it easy. She gives slides or handout where you can learn all the things that will comes in her quiz. Nothing from the things that she didnt teach. Print out, listen to her lecture videos and make notes and study. You will get good grades I guarantee.
I couldn't have asked for a better A&P I professor. It's evident that she loves teaching and respects her students. What I appreciated most is how organized she is. If you take notes, study and pay attention you will do well. She sets you up for success. I'm so grateful to her!
Dr. P is the most concise instructor I have ever had the pleasure of learning from. Anatomy is a TOUGH subject but she provides a plethora of available resources. There is never a question Dr.P cannot answer and she is super responsive with emails or office hours. As future healthcare professionals and baby scientists, Dr. P is the best for A&P.
Dr. P is simply the best. SCB 203 will be hard because of the content, but having a professor like Dr. P makes it enjoyable and understandable. Take her class! I wish she taught SCB 204, too!
she is best of the best.
A&P is very difficult and you have to learn an incredibly high volume of information in a very short period of time. That said, I was especially grateful to have a teacher as exceptional as Dr. Radhakrishnan. She is incredibly organized, knowledgeable, and accessible. Equally as important she is down-to-earth, kind, and patient.
SHE IS THE BEST. HER LECTURES ARE VERY CLEAR. YOU WONT REGRET TAKING HER.
It is a difficult subject, but professors lectures and explanations are understandable and interesting!
I really like this professor, she's very into her job. Is a very tough class I'm not gonna lie, but she makes it fun, and interesting everyday. Study her lectures, and watch all her videos, and participate that she want you to see. Ask for question if you want to know something or are curios, she like student that ask for questions and participate
she's best. This is the first time having a BEST professor, I'm so sad that I only had her in lab. she go with everything little by little she always want us to participate and she answer all your question. Study every day because SCB is not easy but this teacher make better, the exam are good but the time is sate by the course coordinators
I believe that I could not have had a better professor for SCB203. This class was extremely challenging and the lectures were intensive, however, she has the capability of keeping everyone engaged. Her voice is very clear, she is cheerful, and is extremely organized. She is also very responsive to emails. If you're a nursing student, take her.
Her lecture and lab was good. She teaches and make it easier. Her slides are to the point. Make sure to read her slides and watch her videos.
Professor P is very interactive with her students and motivates participation and encourages curiosity in the course. I learned a lot and felt every lecture productive. She is a patient, professional and caring educator, it's obvious that she enjoys teaching and wants her students to succeed. She is a gem and we were fortunate to have had her.
I am so blessed to have taken this class. A & P is an extremely LARGE and hard subject with so much information to remember, I took this course in a short semester and Professor P explained things clearly and concisely. Her teaching methods have honestly made me a better student. She is caring toward all her students. I highly recommend!
A&P is DIFFICULT not matter who you have as a professor but I'm so happy to have had Dr. Radhakrishnan for the lab portion. Her material is clear + she is explains everything very well. Extremely knowledgable + always willing to answer questions. I wish I had her for lecture instead. I enjoyed every class I attended. She is amazing!
Professor Radhakrishnan is just plain and simple AMAZING! by far top in her field. The class was difficult but she gives more then enough resources to study and her lectures are clear. But the main idea is to read and study because the class is not easy.
Professor Radhakrishnan is a great professor to have for A&P 1. She is extremely knowledgeable & encourages you to ask questions. She talks very quickly & covers a lot of material, so be prepared to read ahead or be very focused in lecture. She cares about her students and encouraged me to pursue a more advanced degree. Would take again!
I WOULD TAKE HER AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN. SHE IS CARING WHEN IT COMES TO LEARNING SHE MAKES THE COURSE ENJOYABLE. SHE KNOWS HOW TO TEACH! SO FAR, I HAVE HAD THE BEST PROFESSOR IN MY WHOLE LIFE.
A professional and a passionate professor that gives all her attention to her class. Scb 203 is difficult but with all the resources she provides, you have no excuse not to excel in this course. Don't underestimate the class, because it is difficult, follow all her advice, and your hard work will pay off. Thank You professor Preethi Radhakrishnan.
She is a good professor as she provides good study resources and her lecture is not bad. I had her for lecture and she knew our lab professor wasn't so good. I was one point deficit and she didn't care. For final exam, I couldn't find some of the answers in her slides, so dig deep. DO NOT EXPECT SYMPATHY KINDNESS POINTS FOR BEING SINCERE!
Dr. P was one of the best professors I've had. She goes above and beyond to explain the information and presents it in a way that makes it easier to understand. She is also very clear about what is expected of you as a student and what material will be on the exams.
Human Anatomy and Physiology is a hard course no matter the professor. If you can take her lecture and lab please do. Only reason I passed was for her Lab section. The test and material is heavy. So take advantage of study hall. No homeowrk is given so tests are a major part. Very cool professor!
I wrote a poor review for Prof P earlier last year.. But honestly I am writing this now to say how much I appreciated her lectures and her as a Professor and a person. Prof P I apologize for the poor review and hope you know you are a great professor! Sooooo much of the material we went over, I still remember and understand it. Thank you Prof P!
I had Dr. P. for lab but I wish I had her for lecture as well. I ended up using her recorded lecture videos on her website to study for my lecture quizzes and exams because she's so good at presenting the material in a clear and digestible way. 203 is hard no matter what but it helps to have a prof who is genuinely enthusiastic and caring!
I am hornored that having Dr.P as my Lec&Lab professor, she is widely Knowledgeable and Caring. A&P is not easy, everyone should put best effort, and professor makes it joyful and understanding. Follow her step you will success.
A&P is a content heavy course but Dr. P makes it simple as possible by providing the resources we need to succeed. She is genuinely a nice person.I was terrified in the beginning of the semester but Dr.P made it such a great learning experience. Take her class, put in the effort and you'll do great. Thank u Dr.P for being such an amazing teacher.
very kind, patient and care about your passion.
She's good professor. I wish she can be my professor again. She give's positive vibes throughout the class and she's explain thoroughly the lesson well. I would recommend her to take her class especially if you taking SCB 203.
She is really amazing, this is not an easy course but her lectures make it easy to understand. She truly cares about her students and does everything she can to make us do better. She made Kahoots for review, records all her lessons, and is very accessible outside of class. She's also a nice person who gives you great vibes and energy.
Start with a layback fack feeling and gets intense as the end gets closer. Attend, read, start assignments before required.
This teacher is very nice with the work she has to teach in the class. If you want to meet her, do it, she is very patient when teaching the class.
The class was hard overall. Definitely a lot of studying needed to be done. I only had her for lecture, her quizzes, midterm and final are relatively easy if you study hard enough. Exams are mostly lecture based, so I would recommend to go to lecture class. She emphasizes active recall to succeed in her class which is true.
She knows how to explain hard concepts. She doesn't give study guides, but her midterm and final have similar questions to the quizzes. Her quizzes are easy if you go to lecture. She will sometimes give example questions and/or she will say "this is important" or "pay attention to this". Pay attention, she will give hints in lecture class.
She's late again, all of us are standing outside the classroom waiting for who knows how long again, but she's nice.
So, 203 is ridiculous, with the amount of work and memorization, but she taught me study skills that I will remember for life. I actually look forward to studying - never thought I would say that. It helps that she is kind, and a good looker.
She is nice and she gives credit to ur answers. For the written part of exams just don't leave a blank and you will be fine as long as you explain the question correctly in a brief explanation.
Dr. P cares about her students and she is a bit tough on you, but that is only because she wants you to know your capabilities and really push yourself. Attendance is mandatory and if you skip you are most likely going to miss important information! Read her slides carefully and participate in class, and you'll do just fine!
AMAZING. Dr. P is the best STEM professor at LAGCC. I've taken two courses and learned so much. She creates meaningful group discussions during each lecture. Participation is important! The projects are challenging and rewarding. She connects conceptual ideas to science topics and is able to consider each student as an individual.
Great professor. Very friendly, straightforward, and understanding so just be honest and ask questions!!!! Very few and spaced out homework assignments and quizzes. Exam was similar to quiz, as long as you review AT LEAST the lecture slides & your notes (+textbook if you want) you'll do well. Also don't do your ethogram last minute !!
Professor P is amazing - she makes the challenging A&P material understandable. Her lectures are clear, and she provides great resources like recorded videos. Unstuck study was also super helpful for study prep. Definitely take this class with her!
She is a great professor, really cares about her students. If there's any opportunities she knows of she'll share. Her final projects are always great. I learned so much.
Always a pleasure taking Dr. P's class. Very responsive and interactive w/ students. LECTURE HEAVY so participate & take notes. Def important to review slideshows; sample questions for quizzes are provided which is nice. Exams have short answers that require in depth knowledge of functions & structure of organs & anatomy & reuses quiz questions!
