One of the most caring professor I have ever had at UTM. She cares deeply about her students' ability to truly understand class content and make connections between disciplines. She is very approachable and patient, always looking for ways to answer questions. Her tests and grading are fair and she places great emphasis on developing other skills.

Lectures are very straight forward and easy to grasp. Professor explains concepts in a very simplified, interesting and logical approach. She is very approachable beyond lectures and an understanding professor when it comes to students work load. Assessments are doable if you put in the work.

Professor Karwal's lecture slides have all the material necessary to do well in this course and they are easy to understand. She gives lots of practice questions before the midterm and exam, so students know exactly what to expect going into an assessment. The assignment is also very do-able. Attend lectures and review to do well in this course.

I took BIO372 and now BIO477 with her and she is my favorite professor at UTM. I switched into 477 after finding out she was teaching. She is very knowledgable and passionate on the topics that she teaches, and you can see this when she can answer questions clearly and concisely, referencing new research or even her own lab experiences.

BIO477H5' was absolutely fantastic! The professor is amazing, one of the best biology professors I've had. She is very supportive, approachable, and caring. The course content provides a great foundation.The grading is super fair too. I highly recommend her class; it's a must-take! Pay attention in her lectures, and you're set for an awesome grade.

She's a tremendous professor. Unlike most professors she helps you get a good grade. She isn't stubborn and doesn't adhere to mundane teaching approaches. In this course, I think you'll find that grades aren't a big worry as success is guaranteed if you study a bit. Instead, you find yourself fascinated with the content. Fair tester as well!

Preeti was a great professor who was very clear about what the tests would be like. The tests were very fair and not challenging. It's all based on lectures, which are clear and full of helpful examples. I recommend BIO207 with Preeti to all life science students at UTM.

I was initially scared to take the class, but I had a delightful experience, Professor's slideshows were organized and detailed (so if you missed a lecture, you would still know the content well) and her replies in the discussion box were very helpful (she once responded to me an hour before the test so that was appreciated). I would recommend!

Love this professor, she is so nice and always answers questions on the discussion board (even late nights). I found that the materials are interesting and the term tests are really easy (just attend class and understand whatever the prof said).The tutorial questions sometimes might be hard(but it works in groups). BIO207 is way easier to grasp than BIO206. The term tests and the final were fair and reflective of what was taught in class. Even if you miss one or two lectures, it's okay because of the discussion posts and detailed slides. Tutorial quizzes were harder than the term test so you can practice those and be completely fine for the tests.

Prof Karwal made sure that everyone understood the lectures and took the time to explain things. She's was flexible with grading and helped us achieve the best grades we could. She's passionate about teaching. She readily helps students who may be looking for any advice and is easy to reach. I enjoyed this course and would love her as a prof again

She covers all the content well and makes sure to repeat content that she believes may be difficult to understand with various examples. She provides lots of resources like question test banks to help student prepare for midterms and finals. She also has a best 2 out of 3 term tests policy which lets your lowest gets dropped.

She is so good!!! Clear teaching and not difficult tests. I toke three courses with her. Preeti prefers give one extra term test. For example, the highest two will be selected as parts of the GPA, and the lower one will be ignored automatically. In totally, this is one of the best professors I met. Just follow her, you can understand everything!!!

She goes deep enough into the context of the material so that we have a great understanding, all while not overdoing it. She structured the course in a way where all students can succeed (dropping one of the term tests and group tutorial quizzes based on content that is covered in thr tutorial). BIO372 is very content heavy. It was a little bit overwhelming to memorize but professor Preeti is very good at explaining the concepts in lectures. Her tests are very fair and she gives you opportunities to boost your grades. I highly recommend going to her lectures and tutorials so you don't fall behind.

The professor is accesible outside of lectures during office hours. However, written content questions are suggested to be uploaded through a public discussion board & there are some time mismanagement during lectures leading to some contents are only briefly discussed in lectures. Office hour is a great resource to fully understand these materials

Prof Karwal has great lectures in which she explains things very thoroughly and clearly. She also had very fair tests and exams that were similar to her question banks and lecture content. Completely fair, pretty easy, and very interesting class!

Her tests are always fair and based on what she teaches, there are no trick questions, just what you're expected to know. She's also very accessible through the discussion page.

Teaching style and handling of the course was great. Barely any courses use a system with 3 exams but it was a good system to use and helped a lot. I think the only thing the prof should work on is the fact that she may sometimes use very complex biological terminology that we don't all know the meaning of when explaining some slides.

Each lecture covers a lot of information, but the teacher takes her time to explain and the slides are very complete. You don't really need the textbook if you go to the lectures. The workload is not too heavy, just be ready to understand and memorize a lot of information.

I would definitely recommend taking courses with Dr. Karwal! The lectures were very complete and she always complemented them with very interesting examples. Dr. Karwal is always willing to answer any questions and makes sure that there is a dynamic and respectful atmosphere during lectures.

Her slides are amazing, so detailed and easy to understand. She encourages questions, and is easy to reach (I usually did by email). You can tell she really wants her students to succeed and the content is really interesting (if you liked 206).

The professor demonstrates exceptional professional abilities, particularly in her teaching style and capacity to communicate complex material clearly. Her lectures are well-structured, engaging, and thoughtfully paced, making it easy for students to follow along and absorb key concepts.

Professor Karwal is encouraging and motivating towards her students. If you have any questions, attend her office hours!! It is a lifesaver, she is extremely helpful and will guide you through any concept you don't understand.
