Professor Cooper was a really nice teacher to have. Very fast grader, responded to emails quickly, and overall, wanted you to pass. If you cared and put some effort into his class, it would be an easy A. Overall outstanding professor.

Professor Cooper is the best! He takes the time to proof read every essay before turning it in (some professors would not care to do such things). Although there were 5 essays, they weren't that bad honestly and professor Cooper always responds to emails in a timely manner. I wish I could take him for COMP2

Don't turn in final drafts of papers late especially not 3 times. And be real sure not to space on the deadline for the final exam. BUT as long as you don't mess up those things he's pretty easy. Even with a lot of late papers though you can still pass (with a C) if you turn it all in in time. If you start having problems email him immediately!

We did some class exercises (mostly to get us ready for one of the papers), but more than that he helped us with our papers during class-- lots of him helping us with sources and to come up with topics and thesis sentences and stuff. I wouldn't say it was easy but he helped us a lot. Good teacher, gets back to you fast, gives good feedback.

I don't see why Professor Cooper doesn't have a 5 on this site. He is helpful and walks you through everything and is VERY patient. I mean you do have to try but he will explain things as many times as you need him to if you just ask, and it is not all that hard, or that is how it was to me.

Nice guy. Very positive attitude. Showed his face every single day on camera, but didn't make us have to turn our cameras on if we didn't want to. You do need to buy the one textbook. I bought mine as an ebook. You don't use it at first but starting with paper 3 you have to look at it alot, if you are doing things right anyway.

Came here to leave a review for professor Cooper and was surprised to see his page. Him having so many 5s was not surprising but other things were. If you even try to do the work he helps you write each paper as much as you need. He does everything but come up with topics for you and sometimes he even does that. Cooper is great.

Professor doesn't lecture often because he spends a lot more time helping us with our papers. The reason he's typing is he's helping each of us over Blackboard individually. Or he would be if everyone asked for help. It's obvious that some people just expect him to I don't know what instead of answering individual questions.

Not surprised to see that Cooper has a 5 on this site. Everything about him has a vibe of wanting to help. I have personally seen him explain something 3 times in row. The same question asked by 3 different students when the last 2 were not paying attention. And he just repeats the answer! Maybe tries saying it in a different way! So patient.

The ratings system on this site is messed up. Looks like Prof. Cooper had a 5 on here a couple weeks ago but that now even though nothing else has changed it's under 5. Well he sure deserves a 5. His assignments aren't easy but they aren't hard either. The main point is that he helps you as much as you need or ask for. Not a jerk like some at ACC.

You write 5 papers and you do some exercises in class that help you with the 4th paper. 3 or more late papers will hurt you bad but 1 or 2 will not hurt you so bad. To me it seems like the biggest thing is to not have any papers missing at the end of the semester so that you make sure you can take the departmental exam on time. That is fair.

His attitude is fine. Good really. People are always coming in late and asking the same questions over and over again. Surprised he's so patient tbh. It's not that he's arrogant it's that he's the professor teaching the class. Oh and he hates AI so don't ever use it for his class at all.

Professor Cooper's 1302 class was about analyzing short stories. He tells you exactly how he wants you to write them. It might have been harder but it wasn't because he helped every step of the way. The other person was right though saying don't use AI at all. I don't think it would have helped anyway because of the way he wants the papers to be.

What I just realized today is that the secret is to just talk to him. Like I private messaged him on Zoom today and he just typed a bunch of stuff. Somehow he's kind of intense? And he seems intimidating but he's actually not. You just have to talk to him and ask him questions or wahtever. I think most people don't realize that.

If you have trouble this professor will help you. The important thing if you want the best grade possible is just to do your best to turn in all your papers on time and to not put things off. Based on the comments he made to the class at the end it sounds like the one thing he can't help with is if you miss the important deadlines at the end.
