She is very quirky, has mood swings. Is very helpful. Class is almost a waste of time, all that matters is the four papers. Make sure to speak up or she gets irritated.

Easy assignments (4 papers), usually doesn't specify what she wants, but if you meet the page requirement its fine. And she took my class to the union for free pizza once :)

I had her for death and dying, a weird class. She is a little weird, but she definitely means well. If you show up, shes glad to teach you, but she gets offended if you are late. Interesting to have discussions with.

Best English class, so easy all you do is watch movies, talk about them, show up to class and write 4 core papers

she is a very nice lady, loves to badger you into giving your opinion. if u have an opinion, she loves you...doesnt matter what it is. she might actually like you more if u disagree with her. easy class, watch movies & write 4 papers...all there is to it

She is a wonderful lady, her class isnt very hard. Although she is a little tough with grading the core papers, she gives a chance to make up the grades. Most caring professor ive ever had.

This class is so easy. Just show up and put your input in a few times. 4 Core papers which weren't difficult at all. I would reccomend.

Brain is the best! This class was fun and not very hard. There are four papers, so just do them and that's it. Take this class if you're not very serious about learning composition. You will learn other interesting stuff though!

It was an easy A if you know how to write well. Sure she's nice, but she didn't teach me anything. Either you already knew how to write or it sucked for you. We watched movies and wrote four papers. That's it. It was a total waste of my time and money.

We watched several movies, but they were helpful in thinking outside the box, which you will need to do a little for this class. It was easy, and she makes you write papers on controversial topics, instead of the same old stuff

Great teacher. She was really funny, and made class so easy. All of your grades are based off of 4 easy essay assignments, and the 4th one counts as your final. A pleasure to have had her as a teacher. Perfect class to get an easy "A".

Had her for ENC 1101, she is a great teacher. All i had to do is write 4 core papers, and we watched a ton of videos. It was fun. She does have issues with colons and semi colons so be sure to go to the writing center then u will get a good grade

It's a very easy course as long as you know how to use commas and semi-colons correctly. No quizzes, no homework, fun class discussions. A little excentric about civil rights... but overall, a good teacher. I'd recommend her.

This lady is quite interesting.Her class is 50min of movies and examples of papers you must write in the future.Follow the examples EXACTLY as shown and you've got yourself an A.Do well on the first paper and she seems to follow the same pattern throughout the rest of them.Def Recommend.

i avoided taking APEng in highschool because i thought college eng as being extremely hard. she is anything but. i really enjoyed her class, the topics are on real issues, and she's a wonderful woman. she's interested in her students, and cares about your effort. 4 essays/no final. TAKE HER!

I have taken her 1101 and 1102 classes. If you want an easy A take this class. There was no homework, quizes, or tests. During class time we watched movies and talked. EASY EASY EASY

Great teacher. Really nice and fair. Only 4 Essays and No Final Exam. Everybody should be able to pass this class with atleast a B.

I was dreading taking an English class here at UCF. Mrs. Brain was an excellent teacher that actually made her students think about rights and equality. I actually looked forward to going to her class during the day. Easy grading, interesting, and yes...movies. Take her class!

She is awesome!!!!!! Her teaching style is very clear and very easy to understand. But if she doesn't like you as a person you will not get good grade. My advise for this class is go to class and be on time. Turn in every work and possibly extra credit too. Than you will be fine. Good Luck!!!!

Really easy class. 4 core papers- and we watch REALLY good movies! No tests or quizzes. Doesnt really grade papers so much on content as she does grammer, so make sure you know youre commas!! She's a little weird, but I think she means well overall. I would recommened this professor.

really easy class for a B or B+. If you want an A you better go to the writing center and watch out she is a comma freak. Does Group work for your Core 4. Overall she is a really easy teacher. Easy grader. Tells you exactly waht she wants and gives you a print out of exactly what she wants.

One of the best teachers at UCF. Only gives 4 papers and no finals. Grammer is much more important than content in this class. Some very good discussions and movies take place in this class. She is so nice and really gets you to think. She taught me more about life than english. TAKE HER

This teacher is really easy... u can miss class but not to many! She is a fair grader i guess... the class is really easy u do nothing......she talks blah blah blah and we watch movies but u have to work ur ass of 2get an A..your papers have to be SUPER but u will if u do the paper 2hours before u will definitely pass with a B OR B+ Take her !!!!!

THE EASIEST TEACHER IN THE WORLD, SERIOUSLY!! I took her for both english's. She is a very easy grader. We watched alot of good movies. She likes to talk about ethics. I made a A in both classes, which isnt hard to do. I really really would recommend this teacher if u need a quick A

Easy class. Lets you out early almost every day. Very clear about what she wants (repeats it over and over). Very nice -- cares about her students. Chat with her, and she will love you. A LOT of days off to "meet with your group." EASY A --show up and participate.

This is the best english teacher I ever had. I hate writting and I have a grammar problem. The worst grade I ever had in her class was a "B". She is GREAT. And she gives pizza party. It doesn't get any better.

Very sweet old lady. We had a lot of days off to "work with our group" and also because she had eye surgery during our term. Requires that papers are printed out anywhere from 14 pt Bold to 20 pt Bold so she can see it. Very good about getting back to you with email and phone calls. Shows a lot of good movies. Take her! Easy A.

Very sweet and nice woman. She had eye surgery so we got it a little easier than most semesters. She tells you exactly what is expected in your assignments and gives you examples of each. Attendence is taken but you are given a generous amount of allowed absences. Often lets class out early and bought our class breakfast.

I had her both comp1 and comp2. Nice lady not much work excpet 4 papaers if u can taker her.!!!!

She will grade more on grammer than quality in your paper. If you are great with grammer I would reccomend her. Final paper is a group paper that connects papers 2 & 3, not to bad becuase she gives an example for each paper as to what she is looking for.

i took mrs brain for comp one and two, very very easy class. all we did is watch movies. 4 papers, easy grader. However, mrs brain retired april 2006. If you haven't already taken english you missed out.

She is a very nice lady. She tells you what she wants, and if you give it to her, you will definitely get an A. She doesn't require you to buy a very heavy expensive book so that's also good. You can give her your papers to go over before they are due, and you should get an A.

SHE is not an easy A, she's just such an amazing teacher that u love the class and find it easy, but it's really great learning work that u get from this class....she rocks, she is the sweetest lady and I learned so much from her, I recommend her 100%...and she is so personable

She is definetly a pretty easy A. There are 4 core papers and no tests, the last paper is a group paper. You get to watch atleast 3 or 4 movies a semester and she doesn't make you read any books. If you do not want to learn english and are looking for an easy A take her! She is a sweeheart too, although some may think she's crazy.

I had Brain over the summer and we watched at least 5 or 6 movies and based our papers on them. You only have to do 4 core papers and the last one is a group paper that expands on your core 2 paper. I would reccommend her to anyone, she is a very nice lady and if you put enough time into your work you should get an A

Easy to do well in this class but hard to get an A. I feel that she grades very subjectively and will give a B very easily but can be picky about giving an A. No textbook or exam is nice. And I just have to mention Mrs. Brain is almost completely blind and has all papers turned in read allowed to her for grading

I love Mrs Brain! She is sooo cute! I had her for comp I in the summer and she was the sweetest woman ever! We watched a lot of movies and never used textbooks. We wrote a good amount of papers but if you listen to her directions they are not that bad at all. I def. recommend her!

She's a great teacher! No tests, only four papers, and a few easy assignments. She's half blind but, her husband reads all papers allowed to her. She also calls class off a lot for "workshops" which are nothing more than a few minutes of help...i took her for comp 1 and am def going to her for comp 2

Best english teacher at UCF. She's legally blind, so she only sees shadows and hardly checks assignments due. No tests, just 4 EASY papers. I TRULY recommend her!

had Ms brain for comp 1 and comp 2! she is amazing! her class is so easy! no tests just essays..only 4 papers. if u go to her office hours she will help u. if u write ur papers the way she likes them u will def get A's. she is the sweetest lady ever and really cares about her students! i highly recommend her! i will take any class with her!

She is pretty easy. Follow her directions is important in writing papers for her. You'll watch movies that take up a week of class, but she takes attendance.

Very nice lady. Hard on punctuation and grammar so get that right and you will get an A. Pick topics for your core papers that she likes. I got an A- with a little effort. I recommend her. U just watch like 4 movies and 4 papers.

I took Mrs. Brain for Comp. 1 and 2. She was very easy, only 4 papers and doesnt grade very hard at all. I got a B in comp 1 and an A in comp 2. Attendence is mandatory,but class isnt that bad, you do get to watch a lot of movies. There is also no reading and no textbook which is a lot easier as well. I would definatley recommend her.

Prof. Brain was a great english teacher. Easy to get an A if you keep up. She requires you to buy a course packet and like 2 other small books but the total cost for everything is under $30 and you basically only use the course packet. I really enjoyed her class and would def. recommend her.

Very easy teacher. Requires students to buy a course packet which is like $3. Just follow HER specific instructions of how she wants her core's done and you will get an A. I got a B plus because I didn't follow her directions for the first core.

Over all, the class was good. She doesn't assign very much outside of the 4 core papers. And she grades fairly. She says that she's not biased, but she really is; she sometimes goes off on tangents. Classes seemed like a waist of time, but they are mandatory. If you have questions, go to her office, she's very friendly and helpful.

Anyone who gives Mrs.Brain bad ratings must have gotten a bad grade or are just bad writers and didn't seek help. She is extremely leniant compared to most others and very helpful in her office. People say she's not clear because they don't pay attention and need things explained too much. She gets annoyed when she has to repeat herself. Take her!!

Not an "easy A" class but not the most difficult either. She is extremely helpful if you take the time to go to her office and ask her a question. Only four core papers and a casebook which is just all your graded papers and some other stuff. I'm not a great writer but I got good grades because of following the directions.

Brain is a great professor. Yes she's old and legally blind, but she's very sweet--a 730 class can make anyone cranky. Lecture is boring but mandatory. No tests; 4 core papers. VERY available for students. Go to her office with a rough draft of your paper before the due date and she'll help you make it an A paper. Don't buy books, try to share.

Professor Brain is awesome. Yes, attendance is mandatory, but she's super easy and super helpful. I definitely recommend taking her.
