She is kool i guess, she teaches well, i got a C in her class and i only showed up for the tests, so i guess attendence doesn't matter. She seems to care, and want to help you. Over all nice lady!!!

I highly recomend her. She is the best teacher for math 122. I took math 122 in H.S but i didn't understand it as well as I do now. She is very helful and cares that you do well. Also her test are not hard. They are based on class notes and on the H.W , which she goes over. Take her you won't regret it.

The most easygoing math teacher I have ever had in my life. This lady knows her stuff to the bone, you need help she is there to help you. Such a nice personality, funny and a very good-hearted person. She made precalculus for me the easiest class in the world, tends to go a bit fast but as soon as you mentioned that to her she will slow down.

The best professor I have ever taken. She gave four class tests plus a final. She dropped the lowest grade and also gave quizzes which she added ten points to the tests. this prof is very sweet. she is a very good teacher however she does tend to go a bit too quickly. she will always help you if you need it and is willing to help you after before and at other times during her schedule. she genuinely cares about the students. If you take her and study you can get an A easily.

I struggled with Pre-cal in the beginning because it was a review of mth 115 which i didn't take and she made it so much easier explaining everything and she drops the lowest exam! I highly recommend her!

Prof. Kalra is one of the kindest and most helpful Math teachers I have ever had. I am terrible at Math, but she made it easy to understand and was always willing to explain things numerous times. She does tend to go a little fast, but if you have the chance to take her do it! You will not regret it. (And she has a great sense of humor.)

Thou, my grade was low (C+) I cannot blame her. I barely passed 2/3 exams she gave. However, her exams are designed to make the Final look like a joke. Keep in mind, I'm returning to School w/ a 10+yr gap in Math & she does go fast. Also, I took 6 classes :-( so my time was sparse. Just don't be afraid to stop her & ask your questions, she'll help.

I had her for the Summer program. She is a really nice woman and very helpful. She will try her best so that you understand and is really fun to be around. :D She is a wonderful person and professor. Def. recommend her. She might be fast at times, but ask for help, she will surely help u.

I highly recommend taking this professor for a math class. Professor Kalra is eager to help you and is fair about her tests. However, I do not recommend taking this class during the summer because of the short period of time and the amount of topics that need to be covered.

I took her for summer session. Now i am taking Math 122 with another teacher. It makes me miss her class a lot. She makes the math world all clear and fun. She doesn't collect homework or make you feel guilty when you don't do it. She's really clear, to the point, and willing over it if you still don't understand. Her tests are fair and she reviews a bit before the test. Also, what you learn in class is what he puts on the est. You mainly use the text book for HW. And she's not boring. TAKE HER!

Easy course. Cant possibly complain about her becasue she's fantastic! I deff. recomend her! She gives out review sheets, extra credit quizes, partial credit, and sometimes curves!

She is quite possibly the best Math Professor in QC. She goes over everything until everyone understands and also makes time outside of class to assist students. She gives 4 easy tests and a couple of quizzes. I HIGHLY recommend her!

Class is very difficult ton of material jammed into each class therefore 100% attendance is essential or you'll be lost. Preclac in general is a tough class. Professor Kalra is a great professor. She really cares about the students and really tried to make the material understandable by giving quizzes every week. She is awesome in teaching but you have to put the effort in attending class and doing the homework. Would 100% definitely take another class with her. :)

First of all 122 is not an easy course. A lot of material to cover and she doesn't leave anything out. So its going to be a very fast paced class. If you already forgot your algebra, you'll have hard time. She goes extremely fast. Quiz once a week. Online HW, 3 exams & 1 departmental cumulative final.

I have not been in school since the seventh grade. I am now 31. I got my GED. Math is my biggest weakness and like a foreign alien language to me. This professor made everything very understandable and clear. She had a great sense of humor and made these concepts understandable. I could not recommend a better math teacher in the CUNY system

Prof. Priya is amazing. I took her this semester Summer 2 2016. She made sure I understand all the material she was teaching. I must say I started off bad but ended passing with a B- TAKE HER!!!

Very good professor and worth taking. Don't step out of class or she will call you out on it but overall she really cares for her students and she makes sure you understand Calculus and is also available during her office hours for review.

Prof. Priya is one of the best calculus professors in QC! Her lectures are amazing and full of knowledge. She puts all her efforts to make difficult material easy for students. 2 regular exams, lots of quizzes and a cumulative final. Just do the online homework, participate in class and you'll get an A. Btw no cell phones during the lecture!!!!!!

I'm gonna get real. I failed calc 2 times before & taken full time tutoring. With prof kalra I understood the material in a 6 week course without tutoring. She's amazing, breaks it, down even prints out helpful sheets for you. She hates cellphones and people not paying attention. But the effort you give her she'll def. give in return. Shes the best

Professor Kalra is an excellent teacher - she knows how to explain the material in a clear manner and is always ready to help if you don't understand something. Her tests are based on what she covers in class and textbook is not mandatory. Attendance is important. Come to class, do homework and you will pass!

It's very hard to find a good math teacher like her who breaks down the basics of math so that everyone can understand. I'd consider myself pretty good at math, but with her teaching, as long as you do the work(which is not that much) you will get a good grade.

One of the best professors at QC. Just don't take your phone out during class and you'll be fine. You will learn everything you need to learn, if you pay attention and do homework. EASY A , the SI Melene isnt that valid though.

You'll do better than you expect. Took a lower level math with a different professor and got a higher grade in Professor Kalra's class.

Prof. Kalra, is amazing. She gives inspiration and cracks jokes in between lecture and classwork. The one thing she doesnt like is the cell phone, word of advance, hide it in your backpack or pocket. She gives breaks in between the two hours of lecture. SHE GIVES extra credit for her students to do better and gives options for finals or quizzes.

Professor Kalra is always up to answer questions. I took her over the summer and although it was a short term she taught me a lot. It was a joy to be taught by her. Shes funny and she really wants you to pass and do well in life.

Prof Kalra did an incredible job teaching the material and was very clear about what would be on each test. However, she does not tolerate garbage from her students so dont try pulling anything on her because she WILL call you out on it. Very generous with taking off points on the tests and even offered an extra credit quiz to boost our grades

I took her for precalc in a summer semester and it was very intense. 3 1/2 hours of class, m,tu,w,th at 8am as well large homework which can take 4 four hours to figure out. That said, it's very clear that all of it was necessary as Precalc has much more material than Calc 141/151, whereas calc is just a few difficult concepts based on it all.

I'm taking a ton of calc because I'm studying Engineering and I have to say to so far, the one-month Precalc summer class I took with her has been one of the hardest. A lot of material and so little time so it was like Math boot camp. 300+ minutes of class, every morning, mon-thurs, 300-600 minutes of HW every night, lots of memorization.

Great Professor!! Fast paced course was taught brilliantly by Prof. Kalra. If you dont keep up with homeworks or miss classes it is impossible to make up. Quizzes curve up test grades and plenty of chances given to make up for bad grades. Will surely recommend her.

Honestly speaking professor Kalra is the best. All of her homeworks are done online. Two hw's a week which helps you better understand the material. Professors assistant Ms. Greene is also very helpful. Her teaching style is amazing, she makes everything easy to understand. Highly recommend everyone to take her.

Professor Kalra is an amazing Calc Professor. She teaches slowly in order for Students to understand. She does plenty of problems in class in order for the student to become familiar with the material. The class rubric is this: 60% for three exams, 25% final exam, and 15% for quizzes which count as extra credit towards the exams.

Shes a real gem at QC. She makes sure every student understands the material before moving forward. She is also very understanding in terms of completing homework, she cares about you retaining the material instead of what score you receive. Quizzes in-class help for extra credit towards exam grades.

Great professor, only allowed to be absent 4 times. If you are late too many times marks you absent. Takes the time to make sure you understand the lesson and gives you extension on homework. Just do the work and you will be fine.

Took precalc summer class. An accelerated course. I was very satisfied and learned a lot. Homeworks are definitely a bit harder than youd think. But this helps to grow and learn more about material gone over during class.I recommend her. show up/participate/hw if you want to succeed .

Professor Kalra was a great professor. I took her over the summer and despite the semester being short and the material long, she managed to fit most of it in at a reasonable pace. She requires webcams to be turned on so do take note. Take notes and listen to her when she teaches and you're guaranteed to succeed.

Had this professor online and it was a straightforward class, if you needed extra assistance, the professor and her TA were able to help you with your questions, if you were ahead of the curve, just complete the homeworks and study for the exam. The exam questions were relative to the homework and not too much more difficult.

This is an online course with three exams and a final exam. Every exam is 20% of your grade and final is 25%, hW and attendances worth 15%. The professors is great and the TA helped a lot.

The class SI is also very useful. Exams are easy only if you attend class regularly and do homework. Review is given before each exam which is very useful.

Very good professor. Math is a very difficult class to teach, and there's no way to take it without fatigue and having moments where it's hard to follow. She did her best to outline every new thing we needed to learn so that it was fair for us to execute it as well as write it down so it was applicable for exams. Very understanding one overall

This professor is very good

Attending class is definitely a must, but her teaching style is engaging so it doesn't feel as long as it is. Homework is definitely important and she's generous with late hw and grading as well. Every tests gets a review day so if you just do your part you'll be good.

Overall, one of the best professors I've ever had for a subject such as this one. I have taken a pre-calc class before, and I barely understood anything. This made me worried when having to retake it. However, the way she goes through all the material and explains it amazes me. You retain absolutely everything you have learned and it becomes easier

If you want to get a good grade and truly learn the material, I recommend taking her class. She is an excellent teacher who prepares you well for each exam. She gives you four exams throughout the course, along with a final, and provides review sheets to help you study. Her guidance and preparation really set you up for success on the exams.

She goes through lessons very fast but she is very understanding if you talk to her. She does care about you and your grades but you NEED to talk to her. She's a fast teacher. She may seem a little mean but she's sweet.

She's a VERY fast teacher. Flys through lectures but will ask to make sure you got. Do not be afraid to ask questions. She is very caring but you NEED to talk to her if you are struggling she will help. Test heavy class.

This professor will make sure you understand the subject. Homework assignment weren't too heavy but they were there. There were multiple exams and your lowest score drops so shows mercy towards students! She allows for questions within the class at any point after.

Although she goes a little too quickly in her lectures, be sure to ask questions you don't understand because she will be able to explain the steps. If you still don't understand, ask her after class for more clarification! Other than that she's a pretty good professor!

Overall a good professor.

I wish she was teaching Pre Calc in the Fall. She makes the concept easy to understand, and gives a review sheet before every test. The class is test heavy (5 tests; drops the lowest exam grade), and make up the majority of ur grade (80%), but as long as you pay attention in class and study, it's an easy A.

She teaches the course thoroughly, 3 exams and final, review before each exam, attendance is mandatory in her classroom(she will penalize over 4 absences), homework's due each class, Easy to talk to and learn the material very well. I appreciate her so much in my 122 class now. Take her, she's the best!!
