Sako is a good teacher tends to talk fast but he good. He is a hard on grading but gives you a lot chances to improve your grade. He is always there if you need help.do quizes in the book it will help your grade

If you have any questions about an essay he will point you in the direction of an A paper. In fact, he will work with you (10 minutes tops) until you have an outline that makes sense to both of you. GREAT TEACHER...Highly recommend

Dr. Sako is an amazing teacher! he provides more than enough information to be a successful student in his course. he is very helpful if you are WILLING to learn but if you are only interested in the grade then you should consider a secondary school.

Dr. Sako is a great teacher. He spend a lot of time lecturing and values his students. He's very sincere to each of them, often telling them what a good job they did and individualy thanking them for turning in their papers.

Dr. Sako is a great teacher. HE gives a lot of homework towards the end of the class, but none of it is too difficult. SOmetime there seems to be a language barrier between. My favorite part of Dr. Sako is the fact that he is there for you if you need any help!

Very easy tescher. He is very helpful and doesn't mind taking the extra time to help you. Goes over the prompts and topics very detailed and you know what he expects from you. He is a sweetheart.

All these other ratings are true, Sako is a great person and will help you with anything...however, keep in mind he is from Iraq and carries somewhat of a thick accent. Dr. Sako was a great teacher! He takes great time in grading papers and explains exactly what he wants when he grades them. He is always helpful. It is sometimes hard to understand him, but if you pay attention and do the work, you'll pass. He even brought us food on the day of our final!

Class linked w/ Eng 122. Link had no real connection, but would rec. taking. Aside from his numerous M.A.'s, his humor and teaching style keep the class fun & tight-knit. Sako is ALWAYS willing to help. May not be clear at times, but will never return a paper w/o pos. comments and constr. crit. You WILL become a better critical writer and thinker.

Possibly one of the best professors at Grossmont. I recommend him to anyone. Dr. Sako is very helpful and dedicated. I promise, if you do all the work and attend class, u will pass. By far, one of the best teachers i've had. I've always struggled in English especially with writing. He's extremely helpful! He's very kind & has a pretty good sense of humor. if i could take him for every english class i would.I wouldn't pass up a chance to experience his teaching skills, he's a genuine person and you can tell he loves his job!!

I enjoy Dr. Sako's class. He knows his material very well and is prepared each day. He is however, not always clear with some things, but he does expect you to as, questions if you don't understand him. He is very funny and helpful. He is an outstanding teacher, but hard grader!!! Dr. Sako is a very good teacher. He makes it clear that hes there to teach and help you understand. If you need more clarity he tells you to take advantage of his office hours which most kids dont. A text book is assigned which you are suppose to reveiw mostly on your own time. This is college not high school. He grades reasonably.

Even with a slight accent, he gave his lectures out with clear language, explaining what he wanted and what you needed to know. Every assignment was easy, exception to the Research Paper which was troubling but if you listen and work hard, you can easily get an A. A good teacher, as he knows what he is teaching.

Sako is a great teacher. He takes you through step by step for writing essays. He has an accent but you'll get use to it. He does peer review evaluations then he lets you re advise them! If you have an question just ask him?! his grading is based on how well you do you essay plus you have ample time to write them!

I love this teacher!! He his hilarious and charming. He is very smart and very helpful. He's not a stickler when it comes to thing having to be turned in on time, which is nice. He will even let you re-do an essay if you're unhappy with the grade and let you keep whichever grade is higher. I strongly recommend him!!!

He actually has a great sense of humor. Always asked if you understood. If you didn't understand, his office door was always open to get help. I believe if you are eager to learn you will learn. He is by far the best Eng teacher I've had! He is willing to help you succeed in his class if you are willing to learn. He has a great sense of humor and emphasizes on student interaction, making class more enjoyable instead of everyone avoiding classmates! Some things are a little tricky to understand but all in all he's an amazing professor!

Dr. Sako is a really nice man. He will help you with anything you need. If you don't understand what he is teaching, he will not go to the next section until you understand what you don't get. You have to write about 10 essays, some homework, text book is REQUIRED! I really enjoy his class and I feel that I am actually learning!

Dr. Sako is a fantastic teacher!! i took him for english 98 and was so happy with his teaching skills i had take him again for 110. I didnt wanna take anyone else. Dr. Sako is by far one of the greatest teachers. He is sincere with his teaching and his dedication to his students does not go unnoticed. He made the lessons enjoyable by adding some humor and keeping us students engaged. He will take the time to explain the lesson material repeatedly to ensure everyone understands the lesson.

Sako has a thick accent, however he will go over material over and over again as long as you actively give feedback or asking questions about concepts you don't understand. He a great teacher he will also help you with writing you essay such as ideas, sentence starters, and body development ! He lets you revise! I received a B !

Here's the breakdown. He can be serious because he takes your learning serious. He is not boring, his class is very interactive and you can joke around with him. I can't say I love and respect many teachers but he is one of them. If you give his class all you got then you will not only succeed, but will have fun in the process. Take his class.

Dr. Sako is a great teacher a little hard to understand, but he will go over the materials a bunch of times. It was not an easy course at all , but he helps his students and wants them to succeed. He is nice and friendly and has a lot of office hours. you are allowed to rewrite six out of 9 of your essays. I suggest that you take him.

Mr. Sako was extremely helpful BUT he is a tough grader. I received a B+ on my paper and he made me revise it. He cares about his students and shows it, i would take him again. He actually made English more understanding for me considering i was out of school for almost 10 years when i reentered college.

He's very cool and very lenient. You learn a lot from this class. He's always there when you need help or feedback. But sometimes this class won't make sense because he over explains it or goes into depth and you get lost but just make gist notes.

He is a very tough grader on essays and homework. He offers another chance to revise essays which I ADVISE everyone to take advantage of if anyone wants to receive an A. Would take again!

This professor is so great! I look forward to going to his class, I always tell my classmates how much I love how he teaches and his jokes makes the time go by, he's is so caring and gives so many chances to revise work although he is still a tough grader. He is a really good teacher, his lectures can be long but you will understand everything in detail. His lectures are not boring either, he will make you laugh. Professor Sako was a good teacher, but he was sometimes a little hard to understand because of his accent and lectures were kind of boring. He is a really good professor. He is very detailed, and really cares about his students. Very easy to reach, because he is always in his office. Never refuses to help the students. You have to read the books because they are used as references on essays. Overall ,really good professor!!!

ENGLISH 99 to be accurate. Probably one of the best professors I have ever had . Sad to say he is retiring after this semester . . always willing to help anyone who asks for it .

He just wants you to take him and the class seriously. However, he does have a sense of humor and roasted me one class. The morning daily writing topic was "Should the speed limit be increased or decreased?" I shouted out "Increased!" then he replied "Oh good, then you wouldn't be late anymore" XD BOOM ROASTED. He got my respect ever since.
