This Lady appears to be fair almost all along. She makes you think that you're going to be fine and then the tests come around. Her tests are multiple choice, she gives you a cheat sheet. IT DOESN'T MATTER!!! She still creates the most tricky tests EVER! If you're finance major, you can't avoid her but if not take another 304 teacher.ANYONE BUT HER

Day one she says she is going to test you on things that you dont know. (that makes sense). she has her favorite students that she will pass. everyone else is on their own.On tests, she will not give you partial credit for working problems out-unless you are one of her favorites. I wish i was kidding. her grading is as ridiculous as her english

Two faced talks out of the side of her mouth. Lectures are pointless and make no sense. Dont bother going to class just read the book and power points. Tests are designed to trick you and the prac app is next to impossible.Just another worthless finance professer at csusm.

Qi Sun is a nice woman but she is the worst teacher I have ever had! Her lectures make sense until you get to the test. Her tests do not cover the material from class or the book. She is impossible. DONT TAKE HER CLASS...EVEN IF YOU ARE A FINANCE MAJOR!!!!

Comments from other students is right on target. I gave her a chance, but she is not a good teacher at all. She seems to be a nice person though. She offers to help you but when you go to her office she acts like you're bothering her. When students ask questions in class she acts annoyed. Take someone else who cares about the students welfare.

I have had many bad teachers during college, but this one is by far the worse. Can't answer a straight question, refuses to review for tests, and is absolutely no help when you dont understand what she is going over. AVOID her at all costs. Also she can be hard to understand at times. Worst teacher I have ever had.

She is a horrible teacher. Lectures are useless, but you must attend because she does random sign in days..that count for points..and trust me. you need all the points you can get. You need 75 pts to pass class.. 1 pt=1%..3 tests..one paper & 2 hw assignments.. She doesn't teach she just kind of shows you..so its very hard to learn and understand.

If every other finance class is full ITS WORTH IT TO WAIT AND NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! Do whatever you can to NOT take her! she is the worst! and as for the people who say "well its a finanace class blah blah blah" ummm well I passed and DIDNT LEARN ANYTHING so THANKS Qi Sun for setting me up for failure for my other finance classes I have to take.

Terrible teacher. If you need to pass even with a C don't bother. No one in my class got above a C and not even half the class showed for the final it was so bad. There are 100 pts. 3 MC test with 1-25 2-30. Most q's have 5 answers so good luck. NO CHEAT SHEET NO FORMULA SHEET NOTHING! a couple HW's. show up or dont doesnt matter. all power point.

Most terrible professor in CSUSM, does not respond to emails and her office hours are not flexible or during class periods. Does not explains the material with clarity nor reviews the tests afterwards, so basically if you answered questions wrong you have no idea how to properly solve it. Do not recommend taking her for FIN 341.

Very difficult class. M/C exams are difficult, barely any HW and tells you to practice sample problems on your own. She makes it clear it is a hard course and slackers won't pass. Requires a huge amount of time to study/practice. Not helpful in office hours or asking questions in class. Nice person but the class is too hard. Most will fail.

Worst Finance teacher at CSUSM. Very smart in her field, but is horrible at teaching and could care less about the success of her students. Don't bother asking questions, because she just confuses you more. Won't give examples or answers for homework and tests. Heavy accent and can barely understand her. Pwpt's are horrible!

Terrible teacher, you basically have to teach yourself and get outside help if you even have a chance of passing.

Flat out says that lectures won't help you on exams. She gives you homework that is meant to use as a "study guide" for exams, but never tells you the answers, so you don't know if you're doing it right. The exams look nothing like the homework and gives no partial credit. Poor English. Worst professor in the finance department. Waste of my money.

Honestly gave this class my best effort attended lectures and realized that they were not doing me any good her over all ability to communicate a message is poor and her grading is harder. It's like a 400 level class that is meant to be take by people who aren't studying finance. She has no expectation that her teaching will do you good.

The most difficult professor in the finance department by far. She teaches her class as if it is an MBA course. No practice problems other than the one provided in lecture. No answers to our homework, so we don't know if we are doing it correctly. Tests are worded to confuse you. Refuses to post or show more examples to practice. Awful experience.

She is hard grader and has a strict to grading system. Also the test is based on the CFA questions. She didn't response to the questions very well, so you should to study alone a lot...

She is extremely strict. Horrible teaching. Never care about the progress of students. Easy to lose marks and hard to gain marks.

Not good at communicating, it was a waste of my time. Worst teacher i've ever had. Don't waste your time or money! Can't answer basic questions.

She is not a very good teacher. Expect to not pass your class unless you can devote your life to this one class. She uses the raw grade of all her multiple choice exams and these exams are super difficult. Take professor Kang instead if you want to pass this class and continue your education.

Terrible teacher. It's very hard to understand her accent in class. Grades based on raw grades and exams are different from what she teaches in class. She failed me even though I turned everything in and studied for exams and she knew it was the only class I needed to graduate. Took this same class with another professor and got an A. Do not take.

TAKE KANG INSTEAD. YOU WILL BE BETTER OFF! I cannot stress enough how much I hated her class and how truly terrible of a professor she was. She is not responsive to students when asked simple questions. She will not curve any tests and will not help when you approach her individually. Currently, I am in Kang and have nothing but good things to say!

Horrible professor. She may know the subject but shes terrible at teaching and could care less on students success, the only things shes good at is confusing everyone more. I would NEVER take her again, beware you are better off with any other another professor.

Professor Sun is brilliant, she knows her subject. But her teaching style is very confusing. She really tries to be there for us. It is a hard subject, but honestly, she makes it harder than it needs to be. She is an abstract math thinker, for what we are learning we need a simpler approach. For many people, this is their first finance class.

She hardly gives us any material to work with or study. We have no homework, so the grade is dependent on 3 tests. She has a heavy accent, and I am unable to understand her in class. When she teaches us math she usually never gives an example. She will speak it quickly but will not present it on a power point or written. She doesn't curve grades.

Avoid her at all costs had to retake this class with her and only passed becuase I knew what to expect. Her slides and hw are very differnt from her exams as they use different questions and things she never touched on in class. Hw must be right to recieve credit but again the powerpoints do not help you with the hw. Avoid Avoid Avoid.

Did she get worse? Bc i have heard things but holy. Lectures are a waste when it comes to tests. She doesnt offer help when you ask. Grading is confusing, accent makes it hard and she doesn't do practice. Yeah i would try and find someone else.

I would highly suggest you do not take this class with Professor Sun. Grades harsh, does not offer practice problems, does not know hot to explain course material well.

She loves to fail her students. Stay far away from this class and professor. If you want to fail take it. The only class I failed in my 17 years of school K-12 and college life.

Extremely hard tests that are nothing like the lecture.

Its difficult material. Exams are never handed back to be reviewed and to learn from your mistakes, unless you schedule an appointment with her. As long as you show up and do every quiz and assignment and study a good amount you have a fair chance at passing. Cheat sheet allowed on exams. Exams are difficult and are often things not in the lectures

Professor Sun's class is one of the worst I have taken. All she does is read off the lecture slides and go over very basic example problems. The exams are nothing like the practice problems and the questions are twice as difficult. She never gives students help if they ask for it. Do not take her class if you have other options.

WORST Professor you'll ever have in your whole college history I promise you. I have NEVERRRRR failed a class in college and I did with her. She's a very tough grader. She won't give you your test back to correct your work. Her logic is “my class is based off if you show up and listen” … she doesn't teach you how to even use the calculator
