This class was awesome!! I loved her. She does not take attendance but gives random class assignments worth 1 or 2 points. If you study, the tests are not hard at all. Her lectures are very interesting and she is down to earth. My favorite professor at CSUN.

Professor Huynh is great! For every topic in class, she relates it to real life scenarios perfectly. 4 tests (20 points each), optional final, drops lowest test score. Class activities, 2 points each (20pts total). Class is out of 100 points. She doesn't use the book in class, but expects you to be reading the sections assigned. BE SURE TO DO THAT.

A very good professor! She makes the class fun and interesting. Most exam questions are from lectures plus a couple from the book. There are class activities which are very easy and fun. She drops the lowest score (including the final). Those who are saying she is not a good professor are just slackers who didn't study and didn't show up.

Show up to class, read the book, and take notes on every lecture and you'll do fine. The tests are very specific so if you don't want to do a lot of studying or aren't very interested in the topics, i'd stay away from the class. I got a lot out of it though and she's an excellent and well prepared professor.

I love this professor! She is one of the few professors at CSUN that actually cares about students achievements and success in college. She is very well prepared, and her slides and lectures are easy to follow. She answers any and all questions, and is quick with responding to emails. If you do the readings and attend class you'll easily have an A

Take good notes, study the textbook, do the study guide and you will do fine. Everything that she teaches you and expects of you is fair game. I would definitely recommend her!

Professor Hyunh is the best professor I've ever had! She is super cool, smart, witty and relates class material to the students. In a class of over 100 she still knew my name. The material she teaches is interesting&she is very helpful with everything. If you have a chance to take her class I recommend doing so, just for the pleasure of knowing her

Dr. Huynh is an amazing professor. It is obvious she is passionate about what she teaches and therefore its hard for her students not to be as well. There is a lot of reading but if you do all of the assigned reading you will ace all of the exams. I highly recommend doing well on the first four tests so you can skip the final.

Dr. Huynh is the best! She really gives her all into teaching the material in a very clear and concise way. As long as you attend class and pay attention,you will learn all the main concepts. Combined with some minimal reading from the book, you should be able to do very well on her tests. She's also funny and very nice.

There were 5 exams and she would drop lowest grade including final. 1 short paper and about 20 class activities.If you want an A, reading textbook is necessary. Not easy class but the lecture was very good. This professor put so much effort on her lecture/Powerpoint. She was very helpful and replied my emails very nicely. You will learn a lot!!

Dr. Huynh is very nice and helpful, but be cautioned - She's not easy. Especially for a capstone class. She has extremely high standards. Her exams were hard, and attendance is MANDATORY. You have 2 unexcused absences/tardies, and each one after your grade goes down by a whole letter! Ridiculous amount of reading + online forum posts for reading.

Professor Huynh is really nice and her lectures can be informative & shes humourous. However when you get to the tests its a different story. There are a total of 5 and drops the lowest. They rarely follow the lecture the best bet is to read the book( the best you can). If you study your life off you might pull a B. Otherwise take someone else.

There are only 5 tests in this class and she drops the lowest grade, therefore the final is optional. There are a few test questions from the book that aren't in her lectures but you could probably get by just based on her lectures. She cares about your grade and wants you to come to her office hours if you need help.

Professor Huynh is perhaps the best professor I have taken at CSUN. She is so hilarious and makes all her lectures fun and engaging. You can tell that the professor honestly cares about her students and their performance in her class. However, don't be fooled by her charming personality, she makes you work for your grade. Absolutely amazing professor! She's by far one of my favorite Psych professors. Yes her tests are tricky, but if you study they're not that bad. A lot of students don't like reading the book, but the test has a lot of questions from it. A perk? The book is FREE. This is amazing class and she is a great professor. I took Huynh for social psych, there where 5 tests (1 dropped). And very little homework, therefore the majority of your grade will be on those tests. Her tests are conceptual but they are doable. She gives a study guide, but make sure to cover all the chapters in the book! She expects you to know whats in the book whether or not it was in lecture

Dr. Huynh is the best professor ever! she has high standards and expects the best from her students. 2 exams + 1 paper (15-17 pages). You need to study for the exams at least 2 weeks before. You must read the book, and you must ask a lot of questions to be able to past her class. This class will change your life. loved it!

Prof. Huynh's class is definitely not easy, but it's not impossible. The lectures are very engaging and make you think, and she's super happy to answer any questions thru email or in person. The group project isn't as bad as it sounds, and she gives you a lot of help along the way. 2 tests + group project + attendance. You won't regret this class

Best professor ever!!She gives access to textbook online, have to do quizzes online, grades on it and trust me it helps to learn by doing them. Lectures are not heavy at all, she makes it very interesting and easy to learn. I would definitely take her again. Grading is easy. Very caring and helpful. She knows what she is teaching because her lectures are really interesting and informative. She has 4 test overall, can be tough if you did not read the book or come to lecture or study. The book is free online, you have to do these small quizzes, they're super easy. There are four videos you need to see and write a short summary. Its doable class

The textbook is conversational and free. You might actually enjoy reading it. If you keep up to date with her quizzes (it's an app and you can test yourself anywhere, they're like flashcards), you should have no problems. The tests are hard sure but if you like psychology and enjoy lectures/concepts that connect to real life, take this class!

Professor Huynh is so passionate about psychology and it shows through the way she lectures. And the textbook is free! Yes her test is hard but if you know how to apply the theories that are given, you will be fine. Make sure you do her quizzes because it helps.

Prof. Huynh is such a gem. No hw. Just five, two paragraph responses at the beginning of the semester. Your grade depends on four tests (she drops the lowest score). THEY'RE NOT THAT HARD. Legit just read the FREE textbook and take notes during lecture. SEE HER IN HER OFFICE HOURS. She will clarify any and everything. Take her. She's the best.

Kind, passionated, knows what she is teaching to 100%. Drops lowest test (out of 4). 20% of your overall grade are based easy online quizzes, 15% on attendance, 5% on easy videos, and 60% on tests. Tests are pretty hard, but she gives u all material to learn it. Free textbook!! You'll have to work for an A, but it's almost impossible to get an F.

BEST professor I've ever had! If you really want to have a fun, enjoyable class experience while actually learning material, take her! She explains everything very clearly and is very easy to understand. She makes sure everyone understands the material before moving on. There are online weekly reading and quizzes (not hard) that help A LOT!

Professor Huynh is great! Her class is simple you login to Noba where your online textbook will be found and complete modules, you have like 2 - 3 weeks to complete them they take like 10 minutes. Those modules will really be what all the test are about. No Final just four test.

Pro. Huynh is such an amazing professor, she does a good job of providing the resources that students need to excel . I was pretty nervous when I signed up for her class but it is easy as long as you do all your work especially the modules. No need to purchase anything in this class the textbook is provided. Make sure to do the study guides.

This professor is very specific when lecturing, used real world examples, and overall great. Very funny and interactive with students when lecturing. Quizzes are crucial to passing this class.

Textbook is online for free. Quizzes can re take till you get 100%. She will give random attendance points. 4 tests, can drop 1 simple multiple choice application based. Definitely one of the most passionate professors I've taken. 4 exams, drops lowest. Exams can be a little tough since they're mostly based off of real life examples. Class also consists of 20 quizzes but those are extremely easy, you can retake them several times to get 100. Go to her office hours, she only wants you to succeed in her class.

Exams might be a bit wordy and lead to confusion, but overall the material is easy to learn as her notes help a lot, but sometimes listening to the discussion in class can lead to confusion as well, due to the ideas being thrown at you. However, this class was one of the easiest classes I had this semester. Lots of opportunities to succeed.

Took her fully online asynchronous class during COVID-19 (spring 2021). She only sends you like 3 pre-recorded videos of her throughout the semester. The class was not hard itself. You basically teach yourself everything unless you email her for help (she will reply in 1-2 days). 4 lowest application and 4 lowest recall quizzes are dropped!

Since this was a fully async class, obviously there will be reading for you do to pass the fairly straightforward quizzes + discussion boards, there are a few prerecorded lectures as well. Super easy class overall, i dont even stress on it, and learning is actually very fun!! She still makes it a bit interactive with your peers which is great!!

Discussions and quizzes weekly, with the occasional papers. Beware of the research requirement, and TAKE THE STUDIES! Pretty solid class with interesting topics, though the readings can become a bore sometimes. Honestly not that bad as long as you follow her directions. She also doesn't respond to emails from what I've seen, so take note of that.

Easy class, it was fully online with no meetings you just read the freely provided textbook every week and do 2 quizzes and discussion.

Very easy psychology course. The semester consists of weekly modules where you read the criteria provided, take a quiz, view the 10-15min lecture, take a short quiz, and post a short description on the discussion board. THERE ARE NO EXAMS NOR A FINAL. If you need an easy A and an online class that'll take up maybe 1-2 hours a week, this is it!

Incredibly organized and makes an effort to keep class interesting. There are some articles to read and videos to watch weekly followed by discussion posts and quizzes which are easy to do. During office hours, she is very helpful and provides additional resources for students! The book was entirely free which is wonderful.

Professor Huynh is AMAZING!! Her class was organized, clear, and overall just easy to navigate around. All the material was interesting and keeps you engaged. There is a discussion, a reading, and a quiz every week and if you do all the required reading, you'll easily pass. If you have the opportunity, take this professor, she is wonderful.

This class was fully asynchronous but it was super straightforward. Many online classes can be confusing to navigate but this was easy to follow along with and the main weekly assignments were just a quiz based on a reading. Just manage your time there are different weekly steps. Check-in, reading, quiz, discussion post, and another short quiz. :)

The class work is organized well into modules on canvas. It is simple to understand and does not take too much time. There is a check-in, article, and two quizzes per week. As long as you manage your time well you will be fine.

Pretty easy class. the whole course was online but was originally supposed to be in person. there was no zoom meetings or in person meetings. the syllabus and grading criteria are clear so there's not much confusion everything is straightforward. Quizzes are easy if you read and study a little

Dr. Q is a great and caring professor! Although she doesn't take attendance (since it's a big lecture hall), it's good to come since most of the information isn't written on the slides and is mostly verbal. Do the study guides for tests and you'll be good

One check-in forum post, one discussion post, and two quizzes each week. The assignments only take about an hour in total, each week. The quizzes are extremely easy. Professor is nice, but she can take a while to respond to emails (that's if she even does respond). Decent class, found it a bit boring at times. Overall would recommend for an easy A.

14 quizzes (lowest 4 dropped), 4 tests (lowest dropped), 5 video assignments, & class activities. Tests are difficult! You MUST take detailed notes & understand the concepts in order to do well on her tests. Study guides are given. Do the study guides! Lectures were really engaging and designed so that you would not have to sit and listen to her just speak. Every so often there is an engaging thing to do, activity, video, discussion, etc. No big final, just 4 exams and she drops the lowest grade at the end of the semester.

Wonderful professor, is caring and passionate about psychology. Very lecture and reading heavy, which isn't my particular favorite learning style but nonetheless, I still learned a lot. I would definitely take her class again. Drops lowest test score at the end of the semester.

She is passionate about her teaching as is great at creating engaging lectures that are easy to follow. Assignments and tests are pretty easy as long as your reading her textbook, which is free. Would definitely take again. Shes very nice, approachable and accessible when you need to reach her outside of class.

Professor Huýnh lectures are incredibly informational, but easy to grasp. She loves interacting with the class and connecting with us. She is super transparent with her grading, very understanding. This professor is one of the best I have had in university. She cares very much about her students and makes the lectures understandable but also meaningful. She also engages with the class a lot during lectures. Her assignments can be tedious but they are very simple. I would recommend her to anyone.

Amazing professor! Labor based grading so the work you put in will reflect your grade. DO NOT submit anything incomplete, automatic zero! Do the TOPIC REVIEWS on time, with intent/effort and you will pass with an A. There aren't really study guides but if you take good enough notes you will do just fine on exams. This is the best professor evet! She is very straightforward, lectures are always interesting and informative. There are weekly quizes and topic reviews, also, have 5 chew videos and the grading criteria is based on time that you used to do that homework. If you want to learn something just choose her, best of the bests!!!!

This was genuinely the best class I have taken in college. The lectures are informal yet highly informative, comedic and light yet thought-provoking, and all-around worthwhile to attend. I learned so much in her class and had a wonderful time doing so! She cares so much about teaching and supporting her students. Dr. Huynh is among the very best!

Fairly easy class but really boring if you aren't a psychology major. She's a really nice professor but the lectures are really hard considering that they're really in-depth for an intro class. Her test and exams take place online during the class time so you don't have to show up to class those days. Recommend taking if you want an easy class.

very easy class, attendance is mandatory for points tho! could get boring at times but the lectures are pretty easy to understand. workload isn't alot either, just easy straightforward. BIG PLUS for not making us to go to class on test days! also no final! take this professor if you want to pass this class!! i would take her again! :))

Grading criteria is super clear. She doesn't let you see your grade in the class but if you know basic math you can calculate it yourself. The lectures are interesting and fun, I would say they are perfect for an intro class. She drops your worst grades in every type of assignment so even if you mess it up once or miss one you're fine.

Dr. Huynh makes intro to psych so much fun. If you are taking this for a GE class I recommend. Not much homework except the readings. There are canvas test & mini test but they are pretty easy if you read the chapters. Free textbook!!

Didn't want to take the class at the start of the semester and it's become my favorite course so far. Professor truly knows how to make the material engaging and accessible. Attendance is mandatory, but very forgiving policy for intervening circumstances. I genuinely look forward to the lectures.

I was nervous at first, but Dr. Huynh is awesome! Great, funny lecturer, and tries to relate everything to things we might find interesting. She is devoted to making her class fun and exciting for her students. Fairly easy curriculum, with all things being on canvas. She genuinely cares about student wellbeing, would take another class of hers!!!

She is amazing, trust me take her class you will not regret it. She makes lectures so fun and interesting. She is very sweet and want all her students to do well. All you have to do is ready the readings each week and do the quizzes to do well on the exams. I wish I could take more classes with her!!!

Class is fun and engaging. Attendance is vital as she posts an assignment that is due at the end of class to summarize the content learned. Very clear syllabus and allows for opportunities to drop lowest scores in class.

She is a really nice and down to earth professor. She is really understanding when it came to my very few abscences or technological issues I had this semester. She really got beef with Drake which I find funny 😂. I wish I could see my grade on canvas though, but you can just email her asking. Material is very easy to understand.
