Great teacher. Explains everything. Moves fast but is easy to follow. All homework, quizzes, test reviews are online. Exams are done in class. No need to study. Just pay attention in class and do assignments. Overall, a great statistics teacher! :)

Moves VERY quickly! You will literally do 2 to 3 sections per class, which btw is only 1hr 15mins. By the time you take each test, the material that you're being tested on is now weeks old. As opposed to each test running parallel to the current classwork. There's also an online pre-test required to be permitted to each in-class test! -__-

I did not pass her class but it was not her fault. She is a great teacher who really knows her stuff. She moves rather quickly so you have to give her your undivided attention. She uses Mymathlab which is an awesome learning tool. So apply yourself and your "A" is guaranteed.

I am TERRIBLE in math, but she is a great teacher, so it was easy to comprehend. You never use the textbook. Everything is on MML. She also gives 3 attempts on quizzes and counts the highest grade so it's hard to fail this class. Take her!

She moves so fast... Everything is online (mymathlab) .. you will learn 1-2 sections per class.. Grades are fair but it is not easy to earn an A.. I would do her pre-tests 4-5 times ( each time takes about 45 minutes ) And could not score higher than an 80 on her tests.. I wouldn't recommend taking if you're looking for an A

She's a great teacher. She does move a little fast. You don't need the textbook. All the work is done on MyMathLab. I would take her again.

She is a great teacher! Has a review the class before any tests where you can earn extra credit points during the review "games". Some topics are a little lengthy, but if you are not prepared to learn, then why are you in class??? She makes herself very easily available to accommodate you if you need extra help, she's awesome! Easy A!

Ms Hearn is the best professor I've ever had. She knows her stuff and knows how to teach. Take her class you will not regret. She is wonderfulllllllllllll!!!!!

Best math teacher ever! She has great teaching skills, answers all your questions, so helpful, and genuinely wants you to learn. Had her for two different classes, and she is great! Just keep up on the online mymathlab (very helpful) and you will be just fine.

i love ms hearn she is a great teacher she works with you to make sure that you understand the work clearly and are able to complete your work at home without any help she is also available if you are home and need help on a problem there are four quizs and homework on connect i find her class easy and i actually learned im so amazed

AMAZING TEACHER!! I hate math but this particular class gave a lot of real world problem solving math. I was excited to finally understand Mortgages and stocks & bonds!

Stats was extremely hard, but professor Hearn was great! She answered all of my emails, there is a lot of hw and you have to get a B on the hw in order to take the exam, attendance is not mandatory but she goes over a lot, and if you miss class, you will be lost on the hw. I passed but really hard to try, she is there to help, but not to baby you.

This class is online so make sure you have plenty of time set aside. The mathlabs are very time consuming. However if you do all the work to the best of your ability you can pass this class. If math is a difficult class for you don't take online. She is very helpful and very accessible.

Great teacher work is hard if you do not understand but I don't like math so it was difficult, but aleks is a pain. If you don't do Aleks you will fail. Other then that she is great.

Although I learned more through ALEKS, Ms. Hearn is so very patient and kind and has those cute corny jokes that brighten the gloomy mornings. It's better of you do your objectives before you get to class because it's really easy for it to pile up but she's really flexible and understanding. Definitely goes above and beyond for her students!

Ms. Hearn is very understanding and will work with you. There is a lot of HW on MyStatLab. Final wasn't cumulative which was a relief. She is also actually available during her office hours and does help you solve problems.

She's Brilliant! This is my second time taking her and I don't want a different math teacher. If you need help outside of class, you can Skype her during her office hours if you can't make it to her office, lots of extra credit, the HW is heavy, but it's not that bad. She genuinely cares. She wants you to be successful and is there to help!

She was very good at breaking things down in an understandable way and seemed to really care about the success of her students. She offers plenty of extra credit and her tests aren't too hard. Do the work and you should pass.

She's an incredible math professor. I failed the class which was my own fault but I wouldn't have chosen another professor! I've had some nasty math professors in the past but she's a gem. Also - she gives so much extra credit!!

Ms. Hearn is such a sweet lady i'm like really bad at math and so she does everything to help you out and to make sure you pass the class. She also post YouTube videos of her explaining the subject. Just do your homework's and you should be fine with the class. She was great!

Amazing Professor! Loads of extra credit, easily accessible, caring, and knows how to simplify hard concepts. Lots of online HW but helps your understanding. The class was fairly simple to me because of my knowledge in Algebra and it was basically the same. If you need help, she is there to ensure you will pass the class with a better understanding if you have difficulty learning math.

Hands down one of the best professors ever. Easily accessible, gives many detailed (while easy to understand) examples, and does reviews! The subject matter of the course is hard by itself but Prof Hearn makes it an easier and fun experience! Very little stress! Go sign up, she books fast!

Awesome professor! Math isn't my strong suit, but i was able to understand more in this class compared to algebra in high school. Math is hard but she makes it easier and understandable to learn all the topics. Their are opportunities for extra credit as well. Doing the homework is a must! Do the work and study and you will do well and pass.

Professor quin is a nice professor. Some of her work is easy and some is challenging. She hate protored exams and she gives a lot of extra credit. I don't like he teaching styles because there to direct but if your good at math then you should be fine.

Professor Hearn isn't the most fun to listen to but as long as you listen or even watch the videos she attaches to the quizzes you'll definitely learn or get the hand of doing the work. She is a very nice professor. However, she does assign a lot of work and most of the time she expects you to know the material before class. I also found myself having to teach a lot of the material myself. But she does give videos which help.

I can really appreciate Ms. Hearn's way of teaching her classes. I like the ISAs and the Polls also, being able to Zoom in for class. Her class lectures are great! I am happy I passed and wish I could have her for my upcoming Statistics class, since my load is not as heavy. Lot of opportunity for points, and I believe participation really matters.

The BEST math professor I've ever had! All of the tests are open-book and she drops like 5 of EACH of the quiz and assignment grades. The quizzes even have videos she made that have all the answers! She also gives extra credit for commenting on her YT videos. All of the assignments are easy As, though be prepared to go to the testing center a lot.

The class is a lot of work but it is structured well. Lecture videos teach exactly what you need to know for the homework, quizzes, and exams. Exams are around 70% of your grade but you can take them twice and the highest grade counts. The actual math is not very hard but it is different than what you are used to. The professor is very responsive.

TAKE HER CLASS! If she has available seats RUN don't walk. I first took Prof. H in 2018, going back for a second degree and her lectures from college algebra are STILL very useful and available. I didn't think I was strong in math until I took her class and received my first A in a math class. Do her work, pay attention. She's a great professor!

I just completed this course yesterday as a session two mini term. There are a lot of assignments but her entire course is set up for you to get the best possible score. I would take her class again and recommend her to anyone needing MGF1106.

Prof Hearn is awesome. I'm bad at math and have withdrawn from 2 other math courses. I'm gonna get an A this time because of how well Ms. Hearn teaches. This is my 2nd time taking professor Hearn I took her MGF1106-MGF1107 course I have yet to run across another professor that teaches the way she does. She teaches/youtubes.If its something you don't understand you have the videos to rewatch and giving your feedback will get you extra credit points which help towards your grade.

There was a bit of homework but not too much, lessons were pretty straight forward, and the tests look exactly like the study guides. If you can't attend the lessons, she will have it on zoom for you to login and watch her screen and listen as she teaches. Also there is extra-credit.

Professor Hearn was a great teacher she provided a lot of her YouTube videos to help you. Lots of homework stay on track!! because it's a hefty amount of work. Tests are proctored by Honorlock she gives you two times to take the tests. She was great all assignments were reopened towards the end of the semester to have the chance at a better grade.

This professor does everything in her power so we can succeed. If you are afraid of math, this class will get you through it and numbers will no longer be your enemy.

I took this class online zoom, session 3. Ms hearn is actually amazing. She probably explains math better than any teacher I ever had! We had 5 tests and lots of homework! Test are most of the grade but she gives a study guide and test is almost the same. She makes math easier for someone who sucks at math but lots of work

What an amazing and caring educator! She does assign quite a bit of homework, but she picks exact problems that will prepare you for the test. She does step-by-step reviews in class, practice tests are basically a replica of the actual test, she is happy to answer even the most "remedial" questions in class, and is very flexible/understanding.

(MGF1130) ms. hearn is very kind and wants you to learn and pass! she gives lots of easy homework and some extra credit which helps tests not weigh as much. tests aren't hard either- as long as you pay attention, do the test reviews, and do your best you'll be fine. great easy class if you need a non-major math credit.

Professor Hearn makes math easier, even for students struggling with it. Her videos and extra credit help a lot. I found Unstuckstudy useful for test prep. Tough workload but worth it for the grade.

I would heavily recommend this professor to someone who struggles with math. She explains it in a simple way and is always super helpful if someone doesn't understand. Way too much homework from the textbook, it was like working a 9-5. Besides that, if you go to the lectures and do the online quizzes, you should be perfectly fine for the tests. Calculus isn't as hard as everyone says, dw you'll be fine. And yes, she entered grades late which dropped me from 2 courses, but I got it back so it was fine in the end.
