He is a good teacher and tries to make the class fun. However if he is teaching with Shindell it wont matter drop the class immediatly. If it is any other teacher you should keep the class.

Dude, this class was the only reason to go to class. he is a very clear man on what you need to know. Very easy going. Jokes to learn, and makes a complete fool of himself. He Uses Black Board, all notes and lectures are on there.

The class is designed terribly, but thank god I had Johnson. He made the class as fun as anybody could have possibly made it. Great guy, will help you with anything you need and he wants to see you succeed. If you must take CBEC 301, take it with Johnson!

Quincey is the man!! HW once a week & notes are all on Black Board. Study them all & think like a lawyer, as he would say. Smart and funny guy. Pretty helpful, but tests can be a lil tricky. Take him though, he's the best!!

Professional, experienced, smart, plays devil advocate, and makes you think!! Can more professors be like him. You have to work in this class and learn how to be your own boss. He's laid back and will only push you if you want to be pushed. Good man

Nice and fun teacher. Class involves a lot of work which was a little unexpected. DONT BUY THE BOOK. He makes you think you need it, but you DONT. Make sure you get in a good group at the beginning of class. You will regret not doing so in the end.

johnson is a very fair and the most helpful professor ive had yet at towson. He doesnt want you to fail, but he likes to see you do work in preparation for tests if he asks it of you. he tells you exam questions in class so you have to take notes with his powerpoint, BUT overall....AWESOME TEACHER!

He was by far the best teacher I've had in college. He's always in a good mood, always helpful and makes a fairly boring class pretty good. If you don't like him, there's seriously something wrong with you.

Quicy is the man. Smart, interesting and funnier than hell. You cant go wrong taking any of his classes. He expects you to do the work and participate, and he makes sure that you enjoy it. A very cool guy who I wish other professors were more like.

I disagree with last two comments about prof. johnson. He is a great professor. He is anal about the paper because he want us to be GREAT. I hate he wrote bad comments on my paper, but it help me to improve. Johnson is the man, willing to help, learn alot from him.

I had the opportunity to take Johnson for 301 AND 460. Most certainly the best professor I ever had at Towson. He is hard on you because he wants you to succeed. He truly cares about his students and makes every effort to steer you in the right direction. Since graduating from T.U. I've obtained a great job, and I owe alot of my success to him.

Johnson is the best teacher I've had at Towson. Willing to help in any/every way. You can go to him with anything. As long as you communicate with him, he will help you in any way he can. I heard Woodward is easier if you are stuck like I was in having to take this class. Quincey helped me with gaining confidence to give a presentation without notes. I question his helpfulness as a writing instructor. The comment below about what a mess his syllabus is and how unclear his instructions are - all true!

great teacher! he's so much fun and you won't want to miss his class. he sings and dances and acts things out in class. he is definitely a teacher i'll always remember. his tests are really hard, you have to study a lot to do well. he puts all his powerpoint slides online though, which makes it easier. he's awesome!

Fun and funny. You may be put off at first and wonder if he is on drugs or just crazy. You will soon learn that he is just a fun loving person who knows law and keeps class fun.

Funniest person and makes the class so much better because of this. He is very understanding and wants to help you. If you do all the work you should be fine even though some of it can be challenging.

Cornerstone is lot of busy work period. Johnson is a great teacher he would help you what so ever. He will try to prepare you for the real world, you are going to learn alot from this class specially from Johnson, Grading isn't bad at all.

Great profesor, Test are straight forward, Lectures are fun and interesting. 1 Paper 3 Test and 4 small easy assignments they are piece of cake.

This class is worthless. Business is a joke. 99% of the work in this class is useless and it's simply a compilation of ENGL317 and COMM131. Johnson takes too long in attempt to explain assignments, yet is incredibly unclear; the syllabus sucks. Acct majors (myself) shouldn't have to take this class.

This was not the easiest class I've taken but it interested me because the teacher is hilarious and knows what he's talking about. At the beginning of each class he reviews what was learned in the previous class which gives everyone an idea of what to expect on the tests. Power point slides for each chapter are online. Good Class

Johnson is a good teacher. He makes you think. Doesn't spoon feed you... gives you good direction then you go from there, which is going to be what its like in a real job. Let's you resubmit assignments. 2 presentations, a few papers. Keeps class interesting.

It takes a certain mindset to really understand the class, and the professor for that matter, but honestly he’s a fairly good teacher once you get past the learning curve.

I took him for Busx 301, and Legl 225. If you have not taken him in towson you have missed a lot he is super nice and very helpful take him you will learn a lot. his class is fun little bit of lot of work but it's worth it trust me! (Senior) good luck

Best professor i've ever had. Would have lost my mind if I didnt have johnson as my professor. He requires detailed answers on his exams, but the papers he assigns are a piece of cake. If I could have him as my professor for every class, I would. Don't even take the class if you cant get him.

Quincey Johnson is flat out the coolest cat at Towson. His classes were so entertaining and actually fun. He will tell you exactly what he wants of you and is a very fair and thorough grader. He is one of the best public speakers I have ever seen. keep on keepin' on, Q.

Do not graduate without taking one of Prof Johnson's classes. By far the coolest college professor I have come across. You can eke by with a bare minimum of work, but it is in your interest to get involved. Assignments are fun and you can always revise. Q is the man!

Johnson is very into what he teaches and you can tell he enjoys it. The class itself is very interesting with assignments you typically wouldn't have in other classes which is cool. Grades hard and its nearly impossible to get an A on a paper but allows revisions on some stuff. Great at teaching and you will definitely learn ALOT from his class.

Johnson's a very entertaining and interesting guy. That being said, this is NOTHING that you haven't already learned in ENGL 317. If you have a laptop, bring it, otherwise you'll be bored to tears during lectures. You'll have the opportunity to revise everything and make sure you follow presentation guidelines or he WILL tear into you during it

Professor Johnson is one of my favorite professors on campus. I loved attending his classes, and I can't say that for many professors. He likes to get to know his students, and tries to make the class more fun. Still, the class is a lot of work. 3 presentations and a lot of memos. But, you get assigned in a group to do most of these assignments. :)

Ill be upfront, this teacher is cool. He's the type of dude you want to be your friend. But other then that, its a hard class. Lots of memos, presentations, and group assignments (get into a good group, very important) Just take him, but be on your toes and make sure you keep with the schedule as the courseload can get overwhelming. Great professor! The class can be overwhelming, and you may not always get assignments back in a timely manner, but if you take the initiative to go to him with questions and ask for help, he will help you, no matter how many times you ask for it. Not only are business skills learned in this class, but life lessons as well. Highly recommended!

You do not get your work back until it is to late, as with for a lot of major presentations/assignments he barley goes over in class. Helpful, but you have to work so hard!

Great professor. This class is not nearly as hard as everyone makes it seem. Yes, at times you will have to dedicate a lot of time to papers, and he will grade them hard, but you can resubmit for points. Show up to class, participate, turn everything in, and learn how to get to the point and you will be fine. Best professor for cornerstone.

Quincey is cool and hillarious in class hes hard but made the class much better than it otherwise would have been. If you have to take BUSX301 take it with him.

Quincey is a good professor who will teach you a lot. However, when trying to help you he constantly makes up different ways he wants you to write your papers. This class will be more work then you can imagine for taking a 300 level class. He allows you to revise your papers but his grading is so opinionated that what he wants changes day-by-day.

Hes a hilarious teacher. Sometimes his lectures are just too over the top, that you just have to laugh. You learn a whole lot and he genuinely wants people to do well. His tests vary and there are 4 of them. Recommended

Professor Johnson is a very tough teacher. He grades everything very strictly; the class average for the 1st assignment was a 50%. He allows you to revise and gives you the resources you need to do well. For Busx301 I would definitely take it with him!

Definitely one of my favorite professors, I always look forward to his class. He's so funny and is making jokes throughout class. His tests are hard and are short answer, no multiple choice. He always willing to help out if your having trouble in the class. Definitely recommend him.

Fair, helpful, funny, intelligent, competent. But he grades hard. If you're not willing to write revisions you won't get a good grade. Always willing to help. You need to pay attention to the assignments and put in the work to get a good grade.

One of the best teachers I have had at Towson. Very clear about concepts and outlines what you need and do not need to know. Hard grader and boat loads of work. But I would recommend him any day of the week over some of the other professors. The class is never boring.

He's extremely entertaining and makes cornerstone enjoyable Just a warning when you first do assignments you WILL get a terrible grade, but all assignments are re-done atleast once and you will always get a better grade. Don't stress, the bad grades are dropped at the end and you'll be surprised how good your grade is!

Glad I had him. Great teacher. Had to retake this course had Thacker before but learned much more here. Class isnt hard but it is alot of WELL WORTH assignments. He will let you revise them that part of learning the Business World. Enjoyed him wish i could have him again.

THE MAN! First off, everyone fails the first assignment but you get to redo it. This class is an extreme amount of work, but Professor Johnson is so funny and helpful that class will be worth it. You get to redo almost everything too. Make sure you get a good group, though, because you'll be working with them for most of the semester.

He is awesome! Don't freak out when you see the 30 page syllabus and get a 40% for the first assignment,you will be able to revise it and he takes the higher grade.If you want to get As for the assignments, always go to him before you rewrite, because he tells you exactly what he wants and how to do it. Funny guy, and knowledgeable professor. His lectures are interesting, and he is very comical. If you read the chapters and listen to him, you will get a good grade. He will answer any questions you have. Tests are pretty hard but if you study you can get a good grade.

Johnson is AWESOME! I'm bummed I won't be in another one of his classes. He is entertaining and does a wonderful job of presenting the material in a way that I could understand it.

I took Legl 225 online. Its an easy B if you slack off like me. Weekly discussions and aplia quizzes. He does however grade the tests a bit tough because they are not multiple choice instead essay type. Overall it was not a bad class.

Good instructor. Be prepared to do more work than you've ever done for one class. Also, get prepared to see the lowest grades that you've probably ever seen on your assignment. That's no big deal because he'll let you revise repeatedly to do better.

Weekly discussions and responses. He wants you to use critical thinking and think about both sides of an argument. The three exams are tough because they are all written (no multiple choice), as well as the three writing assignments. You really will learn a lot in his class. Even though it required a lot of work, I recommend him.

Course consists of multiple assignments. Books were not needed, only needed the online stuff to do the work. He is an extremely tough grader, prepare to revise everything you turn in. He is a good professor and very understanding when you ask him for help.

Quincey is a great professor, I took him for BUX301 because I had him for Legal 225. However, he gives more homework than any other professor for this class. While you will learn, be prepared to have ungodly amounts of homework. If you do take him, make sure you chose a group of other strong students.

Though the class can be challenging, he is understanding and will give you numerous chances to rewrite papers in order to boost your grade. Johnson is great. I had trouble grasping some concepts and he always answered my emails quickly. He was easily accessible and if he sees that you're working really hard, he may be more lenient with his grading. Overall, he just wants you to understand the material. This guy is the man. His classes are a little boring, may have even fallen asleep a couple of times, but still a good experience. He reads from his power points, but he know what he is talking about. He is a very funny professor who will play around with students. He is more than willing to help you if need it, and extends assignments missed.

BUSX 301 by nature is a heavy workload class, be ready to work. With that being said, I don't think I could have done it with any other teacher. Johnson is AWESOME. He is hilarious and cares about his students. He will work with you on due dates. Lastly, the info I learned in this class will be so beneficial to me in the future. Take Johnson!!!!

Johnson is a great guy and really a good professor. The main issue is that he grades harder than any professor I've EVER taken. Class averages for papers are 45%. Thankfully, he allows you to rewrite papers infinitely and generally doesn't care about deadlines. The issue is that he EXPECTS you to rewrite, so he grades way harsher because of that.

Professor Johnson is a great professor who really cares about the success of his students. He is a tough grader, but gives you the chance to resubmit all papers. I learned a lot in this class and would definitely take another class with this professor.

This class is a pain in the neck but I recommend you take it with professor Johnson. It's difficult and we are assigned too much work. 1) Lots of presenting. . . 2) The assignment instructions aren't clear, they are all over the place. 3) Harsh grader (20/100) but he gives you the opportunity to rewrite papers. 4) He has a great personality!

As long as you take detailed notes and study you should be able to do well in this class. There are 4 writing assignments. The writing assignments make up for the lack of classwork because they are the same amount of pts as an exam. Make sure to read the textbook (it'll help you a lot). His lectures may seem long at times but he's really funny.

i LOVED Professor Johnsons class. His grading criteria is clear. There are 4 exams, and 4 writing assignments. The writing assignments are straight forward. Lecture heavy class, he has an attendance policy but i don't think he follows it much. Knock out the online homework during the first week is my suggestion. Overall, good class.

HE IS THE BEST. Super funny and engaging but you don't want to miss lectures. Don't worry its never boring as long as you engage with him and ask questions. He is always available outside of class to answer questions and very specific in his rubric on how to turn in assignments and what he expects. Live and die by the syllabus best class all week.

You can get a good grade if you follow the syllabus. Grade is made up of essays, career assignments, mindtap, presentations, 2 quizzes, group essay & presentation, editing revisions. It seems like a lot but if you keep on top of it you should be fine. Allows for essays to be rewritten for better grades. Lectures are entertaining, never felt sleepy.

He's a great professor, very passionate. Tests are easy and fair. Homework isn't awful, discussion boards are graded heavily, but they aren't hard. Paper was fairly easy. He's a cool guy

Professor Johnson is a great professor. He makes going into class fun with his personality. He is a really tough grader and wants writing assignments written his way. The good part is he allows you to do rewrites which boost your grades. Getting an A inst impossible but you really have to work for it.

He makes alot of jokes, which is okay on occasion- too many jokes gets kinda boring. He's awesome on giving you extra time to turn things in, i turned an assignment about a month late and he still graded it. Over all hes pretty good at what he does.

The lectures were enjoyable. A lot of notes to take. Easy four paper assignments, but you need to personalize the assignment, to get a 95-100. Six discussion posts that are easy to complete. Fourteen easy MindTap assignments to do. All can be done in relatively a short time. Four exams in total are open notes and not overly difficult.

QUINCEY IS HIM. He grades kinda hard but if you need help, don't be afraid to ask for help. Will accept late work

I would amputate my left leg for this man. He is so amazing. Funny, caring, makes the lectures as entertaining as he can, easy to access, and has every trait you could ask for in a legendary professor. Take him if you can. Was worth all of my time & would take this class over and over again just for him to teach me.

Probably the second best professor I've had so far. Very clear and very knowledgable. Makes the class fun even though it's about the contents of law. Love the class 10/10 would recommend to anyone taking the course.

I liked this professor, he makes jokes in class and is lighthearted. The powerpoints are nice but you have to be in class for it to make sense, a lot of reading!

Prof. Johnson is a funny and caring professor. His lectures can be boring at times, but important for the assignments he assigns on Blackboard. No quizzes, but his exams are online and DIY on your own time before the due date. His final exam is online but in-class so make sure you come prepared for that. Otherwise, everything else was easy.

Amazing professor, always let everyone know he was available outside of class and to use your resources since you pay for them. Exams are online and take home so it is open note. Three easy to complete essays and homework with infinite attempts. Workload isn't much and he always cracks jokes to make people laugh in class. Definitely take this prof.

No exams, just project/ paper based course. His whole goal is to get his students comfortable with presenting, and growing their confidence. He's truly a great professor who knows how to joke and be fun. He is extremely understanding and supportive. Also gives great feedback and his methods of helping you improve really work as long as you try

He is a great professor and super nice always making jokes. As for his lectures, they are a lot of pictures and he'll explain them so missing class is not the best because reviewing his lecture notes can get confusing. He has take-home exams, discussions, and essays. he also has a project where you listen to 4 court cases and explain them.

Prof. Johnson keeps things engaging, and his grading is fair. The workload is manageable with a few papers and exams. unstuck study was super helpful for exam prep. Overall, a great class to take!

The only thing I will say negative is he does grade very hard, but offers a chance on each of the papers to revise. Every week there is some sort of workshop, none of them are hard but it got kind of annoying. For any of his classes, I recommend Johnson.

Professor Johnson is incredibly engaging and has a clear standard for his students that he wants them to reach, he is very knowledgeable in his information and actively interacts with the class often. The exams were not that difficult just make sure to study for application essay questions on the exam. I would definitely take this class again.

There are 4 exams and are all in person there somewhat difficult however, each one is only 10% of grade. Great professor would gladly take him again.

10/10 Prof, I hope to take another class of his Spring Semester of '26! He's incredibly sweet and accommodating, though be warned: his grading method is questionable, so you might have to argue for a point or two. Otherwise, he was one of the best prof's I had all semester, and you're missing out if you don't take his class.

This guy is absolutely hilarious. I could barely keep a straight face during any of his lectures. He took the wrong career path. He should've been a comedian instead of a lawyer. During his lectures he would just start making random jokes and I couldn't keep it together. 10/10 professor simply for his amazing personality.

Professor Johnson is genuinely one of the best pros I've had. Before enrolling, I read reviews that said his class was challenging, so I expected a difficult semester. However, I found the class not only easy but also surprisingly enjoyable due to the way he teaches. He has a great sense of humor, which makes lectures fun and easy to follow.

Love this dude, never fails to make me laugh. Gives great lectures and keeps class interesting. I found the homework to be long and challenging but helpful for exams. The exams can be pretty tricky and questions are somewhat ambiguous in my opinion but his study guides/resources are helpful. My advice, don't procrastinate the writing assignments.

Prof. Johnson is funny and keeps lectures engaging. He'll help if you ask, and the class is manageable if you attend. There's usually one short essay a week, but I definitely had more homework than friends with other teachers. Don't forget about the Perusall assignments.
